Several other men including Shannon Moore and Trevor Murdoch jumped off the side apron, leaving a pile of wrestlers as ECW went to break.

The wrestling action got crazy at one point with many of the competitors ending up out of the ring. Festus came into the ring and splash jumped onto Miz. Khali entered the ring and chopped down Festus, then began to knock down other men as they entered the ring. Finally Kane entered and gave a solid upperhand shot to Khali, knocking the giant down. Kane began to give a boot to several competitors until Snitsky ran and gave a boot of his own, knocking Kane down. Snitsky ended up using a finisher on Tommy Dreamer to capture the pin for his team.

Backstage, Tommy Dreamer was talking to Colin Delaney. Chavo Guerrero came up and asked Tommy why he's bothering to get into the ring for the 24 man battle royal. Dreamer told Chavo how important the ECW title is to him and challenged Chavo to a non-title match for later on. Chavo taunted Dreamer and told Delaney to shut up, prompting Dreamer to say Delaney has more passion in his pinky than Chavo has in his whole body. Chavo accepted the challenge and said Dreamer's on for later for a non-title match.

Carlito vs. Shelton Benjamin
MITB Preview match

Carlito faced Shelton in a MITB preview match with a briefcase hanging above the ring.

During the match, Carlito tried to toss Shelton over the top rope. Shelton hung onto the top rope and flipped himself back in, only to be hit by Carlito. The two men continued to battle, with Shelton on the apron. Shelton rammed into Carlito's midsection and went to fly up at him, but Carlito grabbed Shelton and yanked him down on the top rope. Shelton fell out of the ring. Carlito continued to dominate, but was unable to score the pin.

Carlito had Shelton down in a headlock, until Shelton got to his feet to fight back. Off the ropes, Carlito knocked Shelton down again, then eventually used the headlock again. Shelton managed to get Carlito seated on his shoulders, then stood up and fell back to slam Carlito. The ref counted as the two men got up. Carlito landed an impressive springboard dropkick on Shelton, but failed at a pin again. A swinging neckbreaker by Carltio, and another failed pin. Shelton eventually gained momentum of his own but couldn't score the pin. Carlito and Shelton traded suplex attempts and Carlito hit another swinging neckbreaker. Shelton picked up Carlito and tossed him into the corner. Neither superstar could score the pin.

The seesaw match ended with Carlito climbing onto the corner ropes to jump. Shelton in an impressive move ran to the corner and jumped up to grab and slam Carlito to the mat face first. With Carlito finally knocked out, Shelton crawled over and scored the winning pinfall.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin wins via pinfall over Carlito.

Kelly faced off with Laya to start it off. Layla dominated for a while with Mike Knox giving her assist to knock Kelly down. Kelly eventually excaped Layla to tag in Richards, just as Layla crawled over to tag Knox. Richards got the upperhand and tried to pin Knox, but Layla ran and dove at Richards to break it up. Kelly ran into the ring to tackle Layla and the 2 WWE Divas went out of the ring fighting. Knox was able to grab Richards inside the ring and hit his finisher slamming Richards down for the pin.

Tommy Dreamer vs. Chavo Guerrero

The 24 men for this Sunday's battle royal surrounded the ring to watch the matchup.

Early on Chavo tried to escape the ring, but wrestlers on the outside tossed him back in. Dreamer took control using a bulldog on Chavo, and then hung him upside down in the corner for a dropkick. Dreamer went to DDT Chavo near the ropes but Chavo hung on causing Dreamer to fall face first. Dreamer recovered and knocked Chavo down, then climbed the corner ropes. Chavo got up fast then ran over to knock Dreamer off balance. After Dreamer fell onto the mat, Chavo climbed the corner ropes and Frogsplashed down onto Dreamer for a pin.

After the victory, Chavo held up his ECW title and posed in the ring with the 24 men outside the ring looking hungry for the title. They eventually all got into the ring to brawl with Chavo and each other as ECW left the air.
