ECW Recap 10.02.07


ECW Recap from Dayton, Ohio:

ECW opened with WWE chairman Vince McMahon arriving to the ring. Vince said he had bad news that John Cena has a completely torn right pectoral muscle and needed immediate surgery. Mr. McMahon had footage shown of how Cena suffered the injury during his match with Mr. Kennedy and then afterwards when Randy Orton came down to the ring and attacked him. Mr. McMahon said due to the injury Cena will be out of action from 6 months to a year. Vince said John Cena is no longer the WWE champ now. Vince said the championship is vacant and it will be decided at No Mercy this Sunday.

Tazz and Styles spoke briefly about the chairman's major announcement and then the main event tonight, Tommy Dreamer vs. Elijah Burke with the winner getting a title shot at CM Punk this Sunday.

CM Punk came down to the ring and spoke to the crowd, telling him there's just 5 days until No Mercy and he should be more focused on who his opponent might be. Punk said the past week just one thing's been on his mind. Punk had footage shown on the Titantron of the beatdown he received last week at the hands of Big Daddy V. Punk said he has his mind on what happened now and started to talk about Big Daddy V. Just then Matt Striker and Big Daddy V appeared up on the Titantron. Striker told Punk that V wants the ECW championship and will pay no mind to Punk until he has that opportunity. Striker wished Punk luck with his upcoming match, right now. Just then Mike Knox came down to the ring.

CM Punk vs. Mike Knox

Knox and Punk grappled early with Punk ramming into Knox after grabbing his arm. Punk forced Knox down to the mat holding his arm behind his back. Knox managed to get up and force Punk back to the corner of the ring, where the ref broke them apart. Knox began to take control as he whipped Punk to one corner of the ring, then knocked him down to the mat. Knox twisted Punk's arm behind his back to keep him down. Punk managed to get to his feet finally, but Knox slammed him right down. Punk finally managed to dropkick Knox through the ropes knocking him back to the commentator table. Punk then flew over the top rope landing on Knox, as ECW went to commercial.

ECW returned with Knox putting Punk on his shoulders then dropping him down on the top rope. Knox continued to dominate, snapping Punk down against the top ropes again, then putting Punk into a headlock down on the mat. Knox continued to keep Punk down, but Punk got to his feet and managed to roll up Knox for a quick pin. Knox escaped then clotheslined Punk down to the mat. Knox continued to try to keep Punk down.

Punk finally escaped and started to build momentum using several kicks to Knox and then whipped him to the ropes for a dropkick. Punk managed to elude a bicycle kick attempted by Knox and then put him up on his shoulders for the "GTS" finisher!

Winner: CM Punk wins via pinfall over Mike Knox.

Balls Mahoney shown walking backstage on the way out for a match. Tazz and Styles reviewed a highlight reel of Tommy Dreamer, an ECW original to hype the main event match.




Balls Mahoney came down to the ring. Highlights were shown from last week when Balls tried to ask out Kelly Kelly in the ring, but Miz ended up clocking him with a microphone before Kelly could answer. Balls spoke in the ring to the crowd saying a lot of people think he's just some love sick puppy right now. Balls called Kelly Kelly down to the ring to answer his question from last week.

Kelly Kelly came walking down to the ring carrying her white teddy bear gift that Balls had given her. Balls asked Kelly again if she'd go out with him. Kelly gave Balls an emphatic "Yes!" and the two started to hug. Just then, The Miz came walking out from backstage with Layla and Brooke. Miz started to insult Balls on the mic, and told Kelly it was time for her to leave. Miz got in the ring and demanded Kelly leave with him. Miz continued to demand she leave, and Balls ended up punching him down. Miz fell out of the ring but got up and grabbed a mic. Miz said he holds the management contract of Extreme Expose, meaning what he tells the girls goes. Miz told Kelly if she goes out with Balls he will kick her out of Extreme Expose and ECW. Balls pleaded with Kelly but she left the ring upset, and headed backstage with Miz and the other girls.


Elijah Burke vs. Tommy Dreamer
(#1 Contender Match for ECW title)

Early on Dreamer and Burke grappled with Dreamer able to slam Burke down. Dreamer tossed Burke to the ropes and tried for an arm toss. Burke countered to try for one of his own, but Dreamer just clotheslined him down. Burke managed to get Dreamer into the corner of the ring and started to kick away at him. Dreamer eventually recovered and was able to get Burke hung upside down in the opposite corner. Dreamer followed by knocking Burke out of the ring, then jumping out at him to punch away at him. ECW headed to commercial with Burke layed out of the ring.

During break, Burke had managed to whip Dreamer into the steel steps, then brought him back into the ring for more punishment. In the ring, Burke kept Dreamer down to the mat briefly in a headlock. Dreamer got to his feet and tried to fight back, but Burke knocked him right back down. Burke waited for Dreamer to get up and then used an uppercut to the face, causing Dreamer to go down again. Dreamer finally started to fight back successfully, this time dropping Burke to the mat off the ropes. Burke managed to trip Dreamer down to the mat, then climbed the top ropes.

Dreamer got up and climbed the ropes to go at Burke and went for a suplex. Burke managed to shove Dreamer down leaving him lying in the corner of the ring. Burke ran from the opposite corner and jumped up high using the ropes to do an elbow drop on Dreamer. Burke seemed to have hurt himself and as he tried to recover, Dreamer caught him off guard with a DDT and then scored a pinfall victory.

Winner: Tommy Dreamer wins via pinfall over Elijah Burke to become the #1 contender for CM Punk's ECW title.

Dreamer began to celebrate his major victory in the ring, but just then ECW's General Manager, Armando Estrada, came out from backstage, mic in hand. Estrada told Dreamer the contender chase was not over yet because there was 1 man he has left to defeat, Big Daddy V. V came out from backstage with Matt Striker and they headed down to the ring for the match.

Tommy Dreamer vs. Big Daddy V
(#1 Contender Match)

Dreamer tried to mount an early offense by dropkicking V before he could even enter the ring. V stayed on his feet and gained the upperhand quickly, then tossed Dreamer into the ring. Inside the ring, V gave Dreamer a severe beatdown, slamming him to the mat, as well as hammering away at him in the corner.

Dreamer managed to get some momentum and ran at V off the ropes to attack. V withstood chops from Dreamer and simply knocked Dreamer down. Dreamer went over to the corner to recover, but V ran right at him and splashed him. V then picked up Dreamer on his shoulders and slammed him backwards. Matt Striker looked on from outside the ring as V landed a hard elbow drop on Dreamer and secured a pinfall victory.

Big Daddy V posed standing over Dreamer in the ring, with Matt Striker talking to him. Joey Styles asked how will CM Punk survive against Big Daddy V this Sunday?

Winner: Big Daddy V wins via pinfall over Tommy Dreamer to become #1 contender for CM Punk's ECW title.

ECW Recap 09.18.07


ECW recap from Atlanta, GA:



ECW opens with Joey Styles discussing tonight's main event with Boogeyman facing Big Daddy V one on one. Elijah Burke comes down to the ring, with Styles discussing how Burke dominated the match against CM Punk at Unforgiven, but Punk still managed to retain his title.

Burke told the crowd he came out to congratulate Punk on his Unforgiven win. Burke said if they fight 10 times, that Punk would maybe win 1 of those matches. Burke vowed that he will have a rematch and claim the title, saying he didn't care when it happens. Kevin Thorn, Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards each came down to the ring afterwards stating why they deserve to be the #1 contender for the ECW title. Armando Estrada came out as all 4 men began to argue in the ring.

Estrada told them he would decide the #1 contender over the next 3 weeks with an "elimination chase" tournament. Estrada said the chase will start with a Fatal Fourway tonight, and 1 man will be eliminated from the picture. Estrada ordered a ref to go to the ring for the match



Stevie Richards vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Elijah Burke vs. Kevin Thorne (Fatal Fourway)

Action was in progress when ECW returned from break. Dreamer was working on Burke in one corner, with Thorn working Richards in another. Styles noted that the man pinned in this match will be eliminated from the #1 contender chase.

Burke ended up getting Richards alone in the ring as Thorn whipped Dreamer into the steps outside the ring. Burke continued to stomp on Richards, trying for several pins. Outside the ring, Thorn continued to battle with Dreamer, who got up and regained control. Richards gained an advantage on Burke but started holding his neck. Dreamer got back into the ring and suplexed Richards backwards, then attacked Burke in the corner. Dreamer then tried to go after Thorn in the corner. Thorn managed to slam Dreamer off the ropes, as Burke completed a trifecta of German Suplexes on Richards. Thorn went to the outside of the ring and hammered away at Dreamer laying on the side apron.

At one point, Elijah Burke jumped over the ropes onto Thorn and Richards. The two men caught Burke in the air, holding him near the apron. Dreamer saw this and ran against the ropes and did a sliding dropkick into all 3 men. Dreamer then jumped off the side apron when he saw Burke stand up, and ECW went to commercial.

ECW returned with Dreamer and Thorn fighting in ring and Dreamer trying for a pin. Richards came back in and attacked Dreamer from behind then failed at a pin. Burke finally re-entered the ring and slammed Richards, elbow dropped Dreamer and started to stomp away at Thorn. With Burke focused on Richards, Thorn went after Dreamer. Thorn grabbed Burke and hoisted him on his shoulders then slammed him down to the mat. Thorn grabbed Dreamer and held him up on his shoulders, but Richards came over and delivered a boot to his face. Dreamer and Burke ended up fighting on the corner turnbuckle with Richards knocking Dreamer off to the outside floor. Richards went to suplex Burke and then Thorn came over to slam both off. As all 3 men were layed out Dreamer climbed the turnbuckle and frog splashed Richards. Thorn saw it and then tossed Dreamer out of the ring. As Burke made the pin on Richards, Thorn held Burke down on Richards to make sure. Richards is pinned and eliminated from the #1 contender chase.

Winners: Tommy Dreamer, Kevin Thorn and Elijah Burke move on after Stevie Richards is pinned and eliminated from the #1 contender chase.




Raw rebound shown which higlighted the match Randy Orton had against John Cena's dad this past Monday night. Cena's dad accepted the match to prevent his son from being stripped of the WWE title. Cena watched the match handcuffed to the bottom rope, as Orton decimated his dad in the ring. Cena eventually pulled apart the bottom rope and chased Orton from the ring, but it was too late as Cena's dad was already knocked out.

CM Punk walking backstage and Elijah Burke walked up to him with the WWE magazine. Burke asked Punk to autograph his magazine since Punk's on the cover. Burke told Punk he's going to do whatever he needs to do to face Punk and win the ECW title. Punk wished Burke good luck, and Burke asked Punk what he meant since Punk said last week "luck is for losers". Punk said that's why he said it.

The Miz came down to the ring with Kelly Kelly, Brooke and Layla. Highlights were shown from last week when Balls Mahoney gave Kelly Kelly a giant teddy bear and she thanked him. Kelly Kelly now held the teddy bear in the ring, which had a Balls Mahoney t-shirt on on. Miz took the mic and introduced Extreme Expose to the crowd and they danced to "Push It" by Salt N Pepa. The routine culminated with fireworks blasting from the 4 ringposts. Balls Mahoney came down to the ring for a match, with Miz and the divas seated in front of the commentator table to watch.

Balls Mahoney vs. Mike Knox

Knox took control early dropkicking Balls to the mat and using a legdrop on him. Layla and Brooke cheered for Mike Knox as Kelly cheered on Mahoney. Knox continued to dominate as he clotheslined Mahoney down hard. Mahoney got up from a headlock by Knox, but was then whipped to the corner. As Knox ran at him, Mahoney elbowed him in the face, then delivered a series of punches as the crowd chanted "balls". Knox missed a kick off the ropes, allowing Balls to grab him and powerslam him down on his bakck. Balls captured the pin and the victory. Miz took the girls and started to walk them up the ramp. Mahoney grabbed a microphone and then proceeded to ask Kelly if she will go out with him. Miz laughed with the girls then pulled Kelly Kelly away. Miz and the girls exited backstage and Mahoney said on the mic "I'll take that as a yes!"

Winner: Balls Mahoney wins via pinfall over Mike Knox.

Video highlights shown of the Big Daddy V and Boogeyman feud. Matt Striker narrated, discussing Big Daddy V's dominance of opponents. V was shown pummeling various opponents and also attacking Boogeyman. The video ended with Big Daddy V saying he will ask Boogeyman "who's your daddy?" and Boogeyman will scream "Big Daddy V!"

The Boogeyman vs. Big Daddy V

The two abnormal superstars faced off in singles competition for the first time in their feud. Boogeyman entered the ring frothing at the mouth and hung his bag of worms on the corner turnbuckle. Big Daddy V took control as soon as the bell rang, punching Boogeyman and then clotheslining him down. V walked over the turnbuckle and grabbed Boogeyman's bag of worms. Boogeyman got up and attacked from behind, but V eventually knocked Boogeyman back down. Boogeyman rolled out of the ring and went after Striker. V went out and attacked Boogeyman from behind, ramming him into the crowd barrier. V threw Boogeyman into the steel steps, then tossed him back in the ring.

Big Daddy V, stood on Boogeyman's chest near the ropes, then applied a headlock. Boogeyman started to battle back, but V hammered him down each time. V missed a clothesline when Boogeyman ducked, and Boogeyman tried to lift V for a powerslam but couldn't. V ended up tossing Boogeyman to the corner, then splashed into him. Big Daddy V then slammed Boogeyman down hard in the center of the ring and did an elbow drop off the ropes to collect the pinfall victory. Tazz then said he dares anyone to find someone who can stop Big Daddy V who has dominated the ECW week after week.

Winner: Big Daddy V wins via pinfall over Boogeyman.

ECW Recap 09.11.07


ECW recap from Minneapolis, MN:

ECW opened showing highlights from last week's victory by CM Punk over John Morrison to capture the ECW title.

Armando Estrada was in the ring to start off the show. Estrada said he was proud to introduce CM Punk as the new ECW champion and Punk came down to the ring to cheering and applauding fans. Estrada told Punk it was an honor to have him as the new ECW champion. Punk gave Estrada a new CM Punk "Straight Edge" T-shirt. Punk then pulled out a silver marker and autographed the shirt for him. Punk asked Estrada to try the shirt on, but Estrada said he wasn't going to. Punk asked Estrada if he was BSing him about being proud and a fan of him. Punk said the crowd wants to see him put the shirt on as well. Estrada finally put the shirt on over his white jacket.

Just then, Elijah Burke's music came on as Burke came down to the ring. Estrada told Punk that Burke will be his opponent for this Sunday at Unforgiven. Burke got into the ring with a mic and told Punk he was there to congratulate him. Burke reminded Punk that he was the one who believed in him and recruited him a while back. Burke said he can now see himself capturing the title just like Punk did. Burke said overall he is better than Punk and will come out of Unforgiven as the new ECW champ. Punk told Burke to concentrate on the "here and now" not the future. Burke started to shove Punk a few times, causing Punk to run at him and deliver a spinning kick. Armando Estrada had to hold Burke back outside the ring as Punk started to show his title to the crowd.

Joey Styles said tonight will feature a tag team match with Elijah Burke and Kevin Thorn taking on CM Punk and Stevie Richards.




The Miz vs. Tommy Dreamer

Miz came down to the ring escorted by Extreme Expose. The 3 divas took a seat in front of the announce table to watch Miz in action.

Miz backed Dreamer to the ropes to start kneeing him, then went for an armbar takedown off the ropes. Dreamer reversed, taking Miz down, then clotheslined him over the ropes when he got up. Dreamer tossed Miz back in and got on the side apron. Miz took advantage and snapped Dreamer down against the ropes neck first. Miz climbed the ropes after a failed pin, but Dreamer climbed up after him and then suplexed Miz down. Dreamer used a series of moves on Miz when both men got to their feet. Dreamer catapulted Miz into the corner turnbuckle and then hung him upside down from it. Dreamer delivered a solid dropkick to Miz' face, then a side suplex. Dreamer went for the pin but Miz managed to put a foot on the bottom rope.

Dreamer ran at Miz in the corner but Miz moved away. Miz was then able to deliver a knee to Dreamer's face followed by "The Reality Check". Extreme Expose joined The Miz in the ring after his win to help him celebrate and then left with him.

Winner: The Miz wins via pinfall over Tommy Dreamer.

Highlights shown of Big Daddy V dominating his competition and attacking Boogeyman, with Matt Striker narrating. The promo ended with Big Daddy V saying next week he'll ask Boogeyman "who's your daddy?" and he's going to scream "Big Daddy V!"




Kelly Kelly seen walking backstage. Balls Mahoney poked his head out from a nearby doorway and got Kelly's attention. Balls Mahoney gave Kelly Kelly a Teddy Bear after telling her how special he thinks she is. Kelly told Balls that it was very sweet. Kelly looked like she was about to give Balls a kiss, then gave it a second thought and told Balls she had to go.

Nunzio vs. Matt Striker

Before the match, Joey Styles noted that we will finally see a one on one match between Boogeyman and Big Daddy V next week on ECW. Early on Nunzio delivered a series of punches and a dropkick to knock Striker down. Striker recovered quickly though and was able to turn the tide from the corner. Striker did very few moves then rolled up Nunzio for a very quick pinfall victory.

After the win, Striker taunted Nunzio from the corner of the ring, allowing Big Daddy V to get into the ring and then clothesline Nunzio down. V followed up by pressing Nunzio overhead and letting him fall down on the corner turnbuckle. V slammed Nunzio down in the ring and then delivered a solid elbow drop on him.

As V and Striker posed in the ring, all of a sudden Boogeyman's music came on and the arena went dark. Boogeyman appeared up on the TV screen near the top of the ramp. Boogeyman delivered the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme saying "all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put V back together again". Boogeyman then munched on a handful of worms as Big Daddy V and Striker looked on.

Winner: Matt Striker wins via pinfall over Nunzio.




Raw rebound was shown which covered the story involving Vince McMahon and his illegitimate child. Highlights were shown from this past week's Raw where the attorney for the woman suing Vince appeared and gave Mr McMahon clues about who his son was. Vince had all superstars from the various rosters surrounding the ring, and then eliminated them from the mix, telling them to go backstage. It came down to just Triple H standing in the ring with Vince, but the attorney revealed Vince's son was really Hornswaggle. Vince looked disgusted as Hornswaggle danced around and hugged his leg.

Balls Mahoney vs. Mike Knox

Extreme Expose shown backstage watching the match on a TV. Joey Styles reminded fans that Mike Knox is the former boyfriend of Kelly Kelly. Early on, Balls ducked a clothesline by Knox then did a series of punches on him. Knox was able to catch Mahoney with a knee off the ropes and then started attacking him when he was down.

Knox ran off the ropes and jumped on Mahoney's back as he was face first against the ropes. Knox then used a headlock briefly until Mahoney stood up. Balls finally got momentum back as Knox ran at him from the corner. Mahoney flipped him over his back then started preparing to wind up a series of punches. All of a sudden, The Miz appeared at the top of the ramp, distracting Mahoney. Knox was able to take advantage and kick Mahoney in the head from behind, knocking him down. Knox picked up the pinfall victory with Miz laughing from the top of the ramp.

After the win, Miz continued to laugh at Mahoney as he was laying in the ring. Mahoney grabbed the bottom rope and stared out at Miz angrily. Kelly Kelly was shown backstage as Layla and Brooke had left her by herself watching the TV.

Winner: Mike Knox wins via pinfall over Balls Mahoney.




Styles and Tazz went over the matches for this Sunday's Unforgiven, including the return of the Undertaker to take on Mark Henry, Triple H vs. Carlito and Elijah Burke vs. CM Punk for the ECW title.

Stevie Richards & CM Punk vs. Kevin Thorn & Elijah Burke

Punk and Burke started off grappling with the ref eventually breaking things up. The two began punching back and forth, with Punk eventually whipping Burke to the corner and then clotheslining him. Burke got over to his corner and tagged in Thorn. Thorn walked over to Punk who then tagged in Richards. Richards got Thorn down with several kicks, then tagged Punk back in. Punk and Richards continued to work well together tagging in and out. Richards dropped Thorn down and put a "Stevie Stretch" submission hold on Thorn until Burke came in to break things up.

Thorn was able to get the upperhand and started to pummel Richards around the ring with clotheslines and whipping him to the corner. Thorn hoisted Richards up on his shoulders and then delivered a backbreaker. Burke came back in to punish Richards more. After a failed pin, Burke slammed Richards down in the corner, then ran from the opposite corner at him. Burke stopped then rolled out of the ring and pulled Richards head to the edge of the apron. Burke began to elbow and punch Richards then got back into the ring to continue beating him up. Richards seemed to be oblivious to where he was in the ring, as he crawled to an empty corner looking for a tag. Burke ran at Richards in the corner, but Richards managed to escape as Burke landed in the corner and fell.

Stevie made his way over to Punk by grabbing the bottom rope and pulling himself along. Richards finally made the tag to bring Punk in. Punk delivered a solid kick to Thorn, then went for a pin but Thorn kicked out. Punk used more moves including a springboard clothesline off the ropes and then ran over to knock Elijah Burke off the side apron. Thorn attacked Punk from behind in the corner then picked him up for his finisher. Punk managed to escape the move and elude Thorn, then put Thorn up on his shoulders. Punk delivered the GTS and then scored the pinfall victory.

Winners: Stevie Richards and CM Punk win via pinfall over Kevin Thorn and Elijah Burke.

ECW Recap 08.28.07


Recap of ECW from Albany, NY:

John Morrison came to the ring with his ECW championship belt in hand. Joey Styles and Tazz reviewed a picture from Summerslam which showed Morrison using the ropes to pin CM Punk. Morrison with mic in hand told the crowd to be quiet. Morrison began to brag about how he excited the crowd at Summerslam and proved why he is the guru of greatness. Morrison discussed how there will be a Fatal Fourway tonight to determine his next opponent. Morrison had pictures of each participant shown on the screen above the entrance area and discussed why each one will be unable to defeat him. Morrison said none of those men are enough to defeat the Tuesday Night Delight before he exited the ring and walked back up the ramp.




Stevie Richards vs. Kevin Thorn

A replay was shown of last week's interview by Thorn, where Stevie Richards ran in to beat up Thorn. Refs pulled the two men apart.

The two men grappled with Thorn forcing Richards to the corner. The ref broke things up and Richards then started to punch away at Thorn, before Thorn reversed things. Thorn kicked Richards down in the corner and continued to attack Richards. After gaining brief momentum, Richards was grabbed by Thorn who slammed Richards down on the top rope. Richards fell onto the side apron. Thorn then brought Richards over to the turnbuckle and snapped him down on his neck against the ropes/ringpost. Thorn went outside the ring and attacked Richards two times, driving him into the crowd barrier the second time. Thorn tossed Richards back into the ring and whipped him to the corner before clotheslining him twice.

Thorn picked up Richards for a crucifix, but Richards slid off his back then tried to do a pin. Thorn responded by clotheslining Richards down to the mat, then slapping him. Thorn started to taunt Richards, slapping his face several times. Richards was able to pull Thorn down onto his knees and then began to take control. Richards went to finish off Thorn, but Thorn threw him to the corner. Thorn was able to get Richards up on his shoulders and then dropped down to the mat. Thorn then sat Richards up on the corner rope and did a DDT type move driving Richards down from the ropes to the mat. Thorn grabbed the pinfall victory over Richards which he hadn't received for weeks.

Winner: Kevin Thorn wins via pinfall over Stevie Richards.




Promo reel shown of the Boogeyman and his various antics involving worms and other WWE superstars. The reel finished with "I'm the Boogeyman and I'm comin to Getcha!"

Miz shown backstage with Layla, Brooke and Kelly Kelly. Balls Mahoney walked up and Miz joked how he was surprised that Balls even won his match last week. Miz said he could be #1 contender after tonight. Miz said he wants to see if Balls' win last week was a fluke and said he'd see him out there.

John Morrison was in a backstage office with Armando Estrada. Estrada said he wants to make sure Morrison is comfortable tonight when watching the Fatal Fourway. Just then Punk was shown in the office eating from the buffet table. Morrison asked if Punk was there to beg for another title shot. Punk said he plans to earn it and left the office eating a piece of cantelope.




The Miz came down to ringside with Kelly Kelly, Layla and Brooke escorting him. They all took a seat in front of the commentator table to watch the match. Miz joked and laughed with Brooke and Layla as Kelly clapped for Balls Mahoney.

Balls Mahoney vs. Elijah Burke

Burke started off attacking Mahoney with a punch and then kicks to his midsection. Burke came off the ropes where Balls Mahoney slammed him to take control. Kelly stood up to start applauding Balls Mahoney, distracting him. Burke took advantage, attacking Mahoney and knocking him around the corner of the ring. Burke continued the attack, slamming Mahoney's leg against the corner ringpost. Burke then ran to the corner and did an elbow drop from high above the corner onto Mahoney.

Burke tried to fight with Mahoney center ring, but Mahoney reversed and tried to roll up Burke for a pin. Burke isolated Mahoney in the corner where he continued to beat him up. After missing a running start at Mahoney, Mahoney tried another cover. Burke clotheslined Mahoney back down then used a headlock. Mahoney finally stood up and suplexed Burke. Balls then used a series of punches to knock Burke to the mat. Balls with the Nutcracker Suite to finish off Burke slamming him down. Balls tried for the pin, but Burke managed to put a foot on the ropes. Balls climbed the corner ropes for a move, but Burke went up after him. Burke superplexed Mahoney off the corner. Burke then waited for Mahoney to stand back up near the corner. Burke ran at him and delivered his knee to Mahoney's face for the Elijah Express.

Miz took a mic after the match and announced Balls Mahoney as "the Loser of the match!". As Miz left with Layla and Brooke, Kelly Kelly went into the ring to check on Mahoney's condition. Kelly left the ring and waved to Mahoney from the ramp looking concerned.

Winner: Elijah Burke wins via pinfall over Balls Mahoney.




Highlights shown from Summerslam, including the return of Rey Mysterio who was victorious over Chavo Guerrero, the return of Triple H to defeat King Booker and John Cena retaining the WWE title vs. Randy Orton.

Boogeyman vs. Miz vs. CM Punk vs. Big Daddy V (Fatal Fourway)

Big Daddy V attacked Boogeyman immediately and Miz and Punk tried to gang up on V from behind. V tossed all 3 men off him at once. After tossing Boogeyman out of the ring, V tossed Miz and Punk into the corner together and ran at them. Miz moved away causing V to smash into Punk, knocking him down. V then took care of Miz, slamming him down. Boogeyman came back into the ring and went to attack V, but Miz grabbed his leg tripping him and then pulled him out of the ring.

CM Punk climbed the top ropes and went to splash onto V, who grabbed him in the air. V then tossed Punk out over the ropes and went out to attack Miz, Boogeyman and Punk at once. V set up Miz and Punk against the crowd barrier, hitting them both. V then ran at them but the two men moved away, causing V to fall over the barrier into the crowd. Miz then took advantage of Punk outside the ring, slamming him into the steel steps. Miz attacked Boogeyman next leaving him outside the ring, then went in to face CM Punk. Miz ran at Punk in the corner, where Punk delivered a boot to Miz' face. The 2 men fought more, with Miz finally clotheslining Punk in the corner.

Punk regained momentum but missed a legdrop off the ropes when Miz moved. Miz then kept Punk down in the center of the ring with a strong submission hold. With Boogeyman and V still layed outside the ring, Punk finally took control of the match landing a bulldog on Miz and then doing a springboard jump off the ropes. Miz tried to fight back briefly, but Punk caught him then put Miz on his shoulders. Punk slammed Miz down onto his knees for the GTS to grab the pinfall victory.

Outside the ring Big Daddy V grabbed Boogeyman and slammed him down. V re-entered the ring and was furious as Punk left. V stood with Striker in the ring looking out at Punk as he walked up the ramp pointing to his fans.

Winner: CM Punk wins via pinfall over Miz to become the #1 contender for the ECW title.
