Fox News Discusses Benoit Situation
Fox News discussed whether or not the Benoit situation was due to "Roid rage". They said the WWE offered a statement lashing out at the media for accusing anabolic steroids, and that WWE suggested this act by Benoit was deliberate and that there is no evidence suggesting steroids played a part. Fox News noted that withdrawals from steroids include such things as hallucinations and suicidal thoughts. The Fayetteville District Attorney was shown saying he doesn't know why someone would do this to their family and that it is baffling.
Fox News said in the past decade there have been 60 cases in pro wrestling of wrestlers dying before their 45th birthdays. Fox cited suicide and health problems as among the leading causes of deaths for wrestlers who die before 45. They also noted that recently Congress has been taking a closer look at the health problems former NFL players are dealing with and maybe the same should be done with the pro-wrestling field.
