In addition to his work as an announcer on the WWE Smackdown shows, John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) also works in the securities business. Layfield is currently employed as Senior Vice President for Northeast Securities. JBL also appears on various Fox News Business shows, almost regularly on the weekends. JBL was part of Neal Cavuto's roundtable business show this weekend to discuss such topics as home mortgages, the rising price of gas and Starbucks coffee, and gave his stock pick for the times ahead based on company mergers. JBL's stock pick was a turbine making company that he expects to be bought up by a bigger company such as General Electric. JBL also has a book he has written discussing how to increase your personal bank account, titled Have More Money Now : A Common Sense Approach to Financial Management.

While Layfield continues to announce for WWE, he also hosts a nationally-syndicated weekend talk radio program syndicated by Talk Radio Network discussing his conservative political views.
