Smackdown vs Raw 2009 - Coming in Fall 08'

Fans of the popular WWE Raw vs Smackdown series of video games will be happy to know the next installment is on the way. According to VideoGamer.com, Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 development has been both confirmed and announced by THQ and JAKKS. The game will introduce new features including Create-A-Finisher option, creative co-operative storylines in a "Road to Wrestlemania" mode, and a great new online multi-player experience. Also in the game for the first time ever will be downloadable content.

Xbox 360, PS3, PSP and PS2 versions of the game will introduce a brand new tag-team experience, allowing players to build momentum and attributes, eliminate opponents with high impact double teams and finishers, and get the "hot tag" for the win.

The Wii edition builds on last year's game, expanding its match type options and offering players more ways to enter a pick-up-and-play experience. The Wii version will also feature interactive entrances and victory scenes, a variety of new weapons and the debut of online play.

The DS game will sport a new combination of stylus and d-pad controls and a redesigned Season Mode, which takes a role-playing approach and enables players to interact with Superstars, upgrade their abilities and complete missions on a quest towards legendary goals. The handheld game will also feature a larger Superstar roster and the inclusion of Create-A-Superstar.
