Raw's Dark Main Event

Monday's Raw left WWE fans in the dark, literally. It wasn't due to any technical difficulties, but instead due to the mean-spirited new King & current General Manager, William Regal. During his official coronation ceremony, Mr. Kennedy decided to make his return, and told Regal that had he been invited to last week's King of the Ring, he'd be King right now. The two ended up in a brawl which required 4 referees to separate them.

Later on, Regal decided that he would not be disrespected on his official coronation night. So his vindictive spirit led him to go into the control room where WWE staff were monitoring and producing Raw. Regal asked a man if he saw how he was disrespected earlier. The man continued to remind the GM/King that they were live, but Regal wasn't having it. So Regal proceeded to knock the man down, barking at him to cut the show so fans couldn't see the end of the main event match. The last images we saw via television were Triple H keeping Randy Orton locked into a Crossface Crippler submission. A glimpse of one TV monitor prior to the blackout showed Orton get a leg onto the bottom rope to break the submission.

Raw left the air with a pitch black screen but the commentary of Jim Ross still heard. Despite Regal pulling the plug on the show, he has scheduled a huge match for Judgement Day. Randy Orton will get his rematch, again, but this time in a steel cage against Triple H at the Pay Per View. The event goes down on Sunday, May 18th at 8PM EST. A smart marketing technique by both Regal and the WWE? Will disrespected fans be paying the $50 for the Pay-Per-View? Time will tell.
