WWE Internet Stories 10.09.08


Here's several WWE stories from around the world wide web for 10/09/08. Today's stories involve the enigmatic Jeff Hardy, the insightful Jim Ross, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan and a story about the WWE's business moves.

First up, Express Night Out looks at a recent autograph signing by Smackdown superstar, Jeff Hardy. The appearance was at a mall in Bethesda, Maryland, oddly on a weekday from 2-4PM. The always insightful Jim Ross has a great recent blog discussing the success of Smackdown's MyNetworkTV debut (over 3 million viewers), the toughness of Y2J and HBK in putting on a great ladder match, and also Triple H & Hardy's intense match at No Mercy. In the article "Wrestling's bottom line is no soap opera", Financial Times of Deutschland takes a look at the WWE's business trying to make more money by expanding globally. According the article, WWE is doing great in terms of that expansion because its storyline themes translate well for all audiences (jealousy, sibling rivalry, etc). Hulk Hogan is in the news yet again! This time it relates to Hogan wanting a family reunion. National Ledger reports on Hulk and the release of his son Nick on October 21, 2008. Hulk recently told In Touch he doesn't see any reason the family shouldn't be together for Nick's release. Hogan also has his Celebrity Championship Wrestling which debuts October 18
