Death of Hardcore

WWE needs the hardcore title and matches back. It's just not good enough to spin-off ECW and call it the Extreme brand with more hardcore matches. Some of the best matches on RAW used to be epic battles where competitors would bring a shopping cart full of weapons and items down the ramp to batter their opponents with.

I'm pretty sure it was done away with due to complaints. Kids wanting to be pro wrestlers in their backyards and who can get seriously hurt by mimicking the moves of their favorite hardcore wrestlers. But we all know that nobody tells people what to do, so to blame WWE for someone's actions is ridiculous. It's the theory that people choose their actions, so the WWE isn't telling them what to do.

But I digress, we need these matches back for the simple fact that they were fun. The Hardcore belt was a cool title as well, in that it was always being defended and you never knew who would be trying to give the belt holder a beatdown where. We saw confrontations everywhere; not just in the ring but in parking lots, near harbor fronts, near restaurants and locker rooms. It's just a fun title, and I believe the last match of this sort was between RVD and Tommy Dreamer, who ironically are both now part of the ECW.
