Smackdown 4.06.07 live from Ft Wayne Indiana...5 days removed from Wrestlemania 23.
Smackdown kicked off with Mr. Kennedy making his way down to the ring, Money in the Bank briefcase in hand. Kennedy told the crowd that his actions spoke louder than words when he defeated 7 other WWE superstars to become "Mr Money in the Bank". Kennedy told the crowd from now on they will refer to him as "Mr Money in the Bank". Mr Kennedy said the "Kennedy Era" has just begun...begun. Jeff Hardy then came out for their match.
Jeff Hardy vs Mr Kennedy - The two superstars grappled early on from corner to corner, until Mr Kennedy backed off at the ref's request. Mr Kennedy managed to gain control with an arm hold on Jeff, until Hardy managed to punch his way back. Hardy then managed to take down Kennedy to the mat. After going off the ropes twice, Mr Kennedy tossed Jeff out of the ring. As Kennedy slid out, Jeff Hardy managed to get back into the ring and dropkick Kennedy from under the ropes. Hardy then dove over the ropes on top of Mr Kennedy in a heap as Smackdown hit commercial.
Back from break, Jeff Hardy with a dropkick to the back of Kennedy's neck followed by a failed pinfall. After dropping Kenendy to the mat, Jeff climbed the top ropes, but Kennedy got to his feet and battled Jeff up on the corner. Kennedy then managed to flip Jeff over his back to the mat. Kennedy then with a series of kicks, knees and elbows to Jeff Hardy on the mat. Kenney then pulled Hardy around the ring post from outside the ring, stretching his back. Back in the ring, Kennedy brought Jeff to his feet then clotheslined him for a cover. Kennedy then with an arm hold on Hardy down on the mat. hardy got this feet and managed to run off the ropes at Kennedy, but Kennedy with a knee to Jeff's midsection. Kennedy with a backbreaker on Jeff. Kennedy cheated with the ropes to capatalize on a hold on Jeff. Jeff managed to use a hip toss and take Kennedy down, followed by a jawbreaker, giving Jeff the momentum. Jeff managed to run up the corner ropes and backflip onto Kennedy. Hardy then climbed the ropes for the Swonton, but Kennedy rolled away. Kennedy then able to DDT Jeff Hardy hard to the mat for the pinfall victory.
Kennedy then grabbed his briefcase and looked at the crowd as he walked up the ramp. Just then Finlay's Leprechaun pal, Hornswaggle came out from under the ring and ran up the ramp to point at Kennedy. With Kennedy's back to the top part of the ramp, Finlay attacked Kennedy from behind, knocking him down. Finlay held Kennedy at his neck and yelled at him for attacking Hornswaggle at Wrestlemania.
Michael Cole talked about Wrestlemania 23, announcing the 80,103 fans who attended the event as well as several publications about it including USA Today and other media.
Backstage, Teddy Long show in his office talking to Kristal. Kristal said she got a gift for teddy. She handed him a blue envelope and told him to open it later. Just then, Mr Kennedy came in to talk to Teddy. Kennedy told Teddy he wants a match with Hornswaggle. Teddy said no problem next week he would face Hornswaggle, but that his partner would be, Finlay. Kennedy left the office angrily, as Teddy opened up Kirstal's envelope and said it was amazing, sniffing the card that he had been given.
Ashley seen walking backstage, and music producer Timbaland was hanging out. Timbaland began talking about his new video with Ashley until Jillian came over and interrupted. Jillian told Timbaland she is a great singer and he has to hear her. Jillian started singing in her awful voice. Timbaland told Jillian "NO NO NO!" and then walked off with Ashley.

A recap was shown of Chris Benoit defeating MVP at Wrestlemania 23 in the US Championship match.
The Miz vs. Chris Benoit - Chris Benoit came down to the ring, still carrying his United States belt. Benoit early on managed to chop Miz in the chest then throw him into the corner for more abuse. Off the ropes, Benoit flipped Miz off his back and onto the mat. Benoit continued to attack Miz with a suplex and then pin attempt. Miz managed to battle back and got Benoit into the corner to punch him for a bit, until Benoit managed to regain control, punching Miz and then slamming him for another pin attempt. With Miz on his feet, Benoit used more chops to the chest of Miz. Miz managed to whip Benoit to the corner and ran at him but Benoit flipped Miz up over the ropes. Miz landed on the side apron. Benoit then with another chop to Miz' chest. Miz managed to knock Benoit down in the ring, to take control of the match and attempt a few pins. Miz then kept a hold on Benoit's neck, keeping Benoit on 1 knee. Benoit back to his feet battled back by punching Miz and then more hand chops. Miz whipped Benoit to the corner then ran at him and clotheslined him. Miz with more of a neck hold on Benoit down on the mat. Benoit got back to his feet then used more ferocious chops to Miz, followed by a whip to the corner. In control, Benoit clotheslined Miz down. Benoit with the German Suplexes on Miz. Benoit then signaled for his finisher and climbed to the top rope for a flying headbutt. Just then MVP snuck up behind the apron. With Miz laying near the side, MVP pulled Miz a bit out of range, causing Benoit to miss the headbutt. Miz took advantage with the pinfall victory! MVP then ran into the crowd.
Backstage Booker talked to the Sharmelle about how Matt Hardy had the nerve to put his hands on her during the Money in the Bank match. Booker said he would take it out on Matt Hardy tonight in the ring. Sharmelle told Booker to make him pay.
Matt Hardy vs. King Booker - Booker seeking revenge after Matt Hardy threatened to do the Twist of Fate on Sharmelle during the Money in the Bank match. Early on Matt Hardy managed to throw Booker to the corner and then slam him down for a pinfall attempt. Booker able to kick Matt Hardy in the center of the ring. Booker then started to choke Matt on the middle rope with the ref yelling for him to stop. As the ref spoke to Booker with his back turned, Sharmelle walked up to Matt Hardy whose face hung over the rope. Sharmelle slapped Matt in the face, as he already had a bloody mouth. Booker then able to get a headlock on Matt center of the ring. Matt battled back with punches then a kick to Booker's stomach. Matt Hardy ran off the ropes, but got elbowed by Booker. Booker with another headlock on Hardy keeping him down on the mat as Sharmelle yelled at Booker. Matt got back to his feet and managed to run off the ropes and hit Booker down with clotheslines. Matt with a neckbreaker on Booker, then climbed to the top ropes and landed a leg drop on Booker. Booker able to kick out from a pin by Hardy at 2 1/2. Back to their feet Booker managed to do a reverse kick to Matt's face, knocking him down for a pin attempt. After battling back and forth with a few attempted pinfalls and chokeholds by Booker, Matt Hardy scored a Side Effect on King Booker and then signaled for Twist of Fate. Booker shoved Matt Hardy to the ropes, then neutralized Hardy with a strong kick to the face. Booker with an attempted pin on Hardy who seemed out cold. Hardy managed to kick out and get back to his feet. As Hardy went for a twist of fate again, Booker escaped. Hardy managed to flip over Booker and grab his leg and neck to roll Booker up for the pinfall, scoring an upset victory!
After Booker's loss, Queen Sharmelle got in the ring with the microphone and yelled at Booker for losing. Sharmelle told Booker he did nothing to defend her honor, and that Booker is a disappointment to her and to himself, and then left the ring saying "Im Done" as she stormed up the ramp. The crowd then chanted "You Suck" as Booker exited the ring.
Dave Taylor vs. Kane - Early on Regal and Taylor tried to double-team Kane outside the ring, But Kane beat up both men and threw Taylor into the audience barrier. Regal hit Kane from behind with a steel chair, but Kane remained on his feet. Kane able to battle back and leveled Regal. Kane tossed Taylor over the announcers' table. Kane dismantled both Regal and Taylor outside of the ring, then Kane got back into the ring and let his explosion blast from the ring posts.
Backstage Booker found a crying Queen Sharmelle. Booker told Sharmelle he was sorry and he cares about her. Booker promised he'd do better for her, and then gave her a hug, telling her "dont worry about nothing". Booker went to kiss Sharmelle and then she slapped him in the face.
A piece was shown announcing the return of "Mark Henry" to WWE Smackdown.
Gregory Helms and Chavo vs. Kendrick & London - a non-title matchup featuring the current and former Cruiserweight champs as opponents for the tag champs. Before the match started, Deuce & Domino's music came on as the 2 drove their car out onto the ramp with Cherry in the back. Early on Chavo cornered London, then distracted the ref so Helms could choke London. Chavo tagged in Helms and they did a double suplex on London. Helms then took it to London with a leg drop and dragged London's face/neck on the ropes. Helms and Chavo tagged in and out. After recovering from Chavo's assault, Kendrick was tagged in and the tag champs cleared the ring of Chavo and Helms. London and Kendrick then flew out of the ring onto Helms and Chavo knocking them down. Smackdown left for break with all of the men laying outside the ring in a heap.
Back to the match, Helms in control of Kendrick center ring holding him at the waist. Helms with a backbreaker and attempted pin, then tagged Chavo in, who kicked Kendrick in the face, and continued to kick him while he was down. Kendrick got to his feet to start battling back, but Chavo managed to use a leg takedown and then a backflip onto Kendrick. Helms back in with an attempted pin, but London ran in for the save. Helms and Chavo continued to double-team Kendrick keeping him away from the tag to London. With Helms beting Kendrick down, Helms then r an at London and knocked him off the apron. Kendrick managed escape a double team by the opponents and finally tag out to London. London in the ring took it at both men. London able to jump off the ropes and kick Helms in the back of his neck, then an attempted pin. Chavo ran over for the save. Helms managed to get control back and put a strong finisher on London, but Kendrick came in to save. Chavo climbed the ropes to frogsplash, but Kendrick ran over to climb the ropes and battle Chavo. Helms then came over as well with all 4 men on the ropes. The tag champs managed to push Chavo off the ropes to the outside of the ring. Kendrick then able to use a neck snap on Helms bringing him down hard to the mat, allowing London to score a pinfall. As Kendrick and London walked away up the ramp, Deuce and Domino pointed at them and signaled that they would soon have the tag belts.
A promo piece shown about the early preview of Stone Cold's new movie "The Condemned" was shown. Various superstars were shown with their comments about the movie.
Highlights from this past Saturday's 2007 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony were shown. Included speeches from Stone Cold presenting Jim Rosee, William Shatner presenting Jerry Lawler, as well as the late Kurt Hennig's wife and family presenting the posthumous induction of "Mr Perfect".
Undertaker's 15 Wrestlemania victories shown on a black and white highlight reel of each victim.
Several druids came out to the ramp holding flaming torches together on the ramp. The Undertaker's music then came on and the Deadman came out amidst smoke and lightning. Taker slowly walked to the ring, holding the WWE title in his hand. About to speak on the microphone, Batista's music came on and Batista walked down the ramp in a business suit, entering the ring with mic in hand. Batista congratulated Undertaker and said "I Want my rematch". Undertaker stared at Batista, as Batista dropped the mic and left the ring. Batista's music came on as he exited the ring and walked up the ramp. Undertaker continued to stare down Batista, and then was ambushed from behind by King Booker. Undertaker withstood the attack then flipped Booker over the ropes. Outside the ring, Taker threw Booker into the steel steps. Taker then removed the announce table top and tv's, and tossed Booker onto it. Undertaker then stood on the announce table and waited for Booker to get to his feet. Taker then delivered a Tombstone piledriver on Booker, leaving him out cold on the announcer's table. Taker stood and held his title high as his chilling music came back on. Queen Sharmelle was seen back out to check on Booker as the Undertaker walked up the ramp. Taker turned and looked back over his shoulder, then held his title high as Smackdown went off the air.
