ECW Recap 07.24.07
ECW started off with ring announcer Justin Roberts giving an introduction for John Morrison, formally Johnny Nitro. Roberts announced that Morrison is the reason everyone came to the show tonight, the man who defeated CM Punk in the middle of the ring and the new face of ECW. Morrison then came down to the ring with his ECW title.
Morrison discussed beating CM Punk and how Punk will have no more shots at the ECW title now. Morrison said he is a fighting champion who takes on all comers. Morrison said tonight he would give someone an opportunity to gain 15 minutes of fame in the ring, if they can survive 15 minutes with him in the ring or possibly beat him. Morrison said if they can do so, they will get a future title shot. He said despite having a tag team match tonight he will still compete in a 15 minutes of fame challenge. Morrions said he found a true competitor earlier from Fresno. He then had a no name wrestler come to the ring wearing a flashy blue outfit.
Morrison asked a ref to get in the ring and announced that this will start the 15 minutes of Fame challenge. Morrison asked the clock to be started and the bell rang. Morrison then headbutted the young wrestler, knocking him to the mat. Morrison picked the man up and did a corkscrew neckbreaker, then scored a pin in 34 seconds. Morrison grabbed the mic as the ref looked at the fallen wrestler. Morrison said he had his chance but couldn't get it done. Morrison then backed up the ramp with his ECW title.
Joey Styles announced that tonight's main event will be a tag match with Tommy Dreamer and CM Punk facing Elijah Burke and John Morrison.
Promo shown for Triple H, first showing his injury, then showing footage of Triple H being "rebuilt better than he was before". The promo ended with the announcement that Triple H will return at Summerslam.
Stevie Richards vs. Kevin ThornThorn whipped Richards hard to the corner early, then tried to throw him to the ropes but Richards able to start dropkicking Thorn. Thorn rolled out of the ring to get a break. Richards got on the side apron to jump at Thorn, but Thorn managed to pull Richards foot out. Richards hit the side apron hard then fell out of the ring. Thorn tossed Richards back into the ring and then put him up pm his shoulder in a spine submission holder. Thorn slammed Richards down hard from the submission hold and began to beat Richards around the ring more. Richards able to fight back from the corner with some kicks to Thorn, until Thorn lifted Richards up and slammed him down on his back hard. After a near pinfall, Thorn picked up Richards and sat him on the corner turnbuckle. Thorn tried to do a crucifix from the corner with Richards but Richards slid out of Thorn's grasp. Richards then rolled up Thorn for a surprise pinfall victory!
Winner: Stevie Richards wins via pinfall over Kevin Thorn.
Replay shown of last week's Extreme Expose dance routine for the Miz who was seated in the middle of the ring. Styles said Miz would be wrestling next.

Nunzio vs. The MizStyles said Miz is most likely the envy of every man around lately. Miz grabbed the mic saying he felt the women of Fresno are undressing him with their eyes. Miz said the chicks dig him and men fear him. Miz invited Extreme Expose out to watch him in his match tonight since they entertained him in the ring last week. Extreme Expose came down and sat in 3 chairs in front of the announce table, waving to Miz.
Early on Nunzio did a leg sweep on Miz tripping him to the mat. Miz rolled out of the ring but Nunzio chased him back in, and did a flying bodypress off the corner ropes. Miz was able to knock Nunzio into the corner then kick him hard. Miz tried for a pinfall but Nunzio grabbed the bottom rope. Miz whipped Nunzio to the corner then ran at him with a hard knee to the chest. Extreme Expose continued to cheer on Miz at ringside. Nunzio managed a comeback off the ropes doing several moves includong a head scissors. Miz finally finished off Nunzio running at him off the ropes and kneeing Nunzio in the face, followed by a swinging neckbreaker.
Winner: The Miz wins via pinfall over Nunzio.
The Miz then told Extreme Expose he has a surprise for them tonight and had them get into the ring with him. Miz then signaled for music to play and started to dance in the middle of the ring. Extreme Expose danced around Miz in the ring to the ECW's hard rock theme song.

Big Daddy V vs. 2 unknown opponentsMatt Striker led Big Daddy V to the ring then joined Styles and Tazz at the announcers' table. Big Daddy V slammed and threw his opponents, tossing 1 of the 2 men out of the ring. V picked up and slammed down the smaller of his 2 opponents with 1 hand. V put both men in the corner then ran at them, squashing them. V slammed 1 opponent down, then grabbed the other slamming him down on top. V pinned both men for the victory. Matt Striker posed in front of Big Daddy V as he stood on the apron.
Winner: Big Daddy V wins via pinfall over 2 opponents.
Tommy Dreamer & CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke & John MorrisonStyles noted that CM Punk was a 1/2 count away from beating Morrison at the Bash for the ECW title. Punk started off versus Burke. Punk called for Morrison to enter the ring, so Burke tagged him in. Morrison took advantage of a distracted CM Punk and kicked him in the stomach, then hammered away at him. Burke came in and tried to continue to dominate but Punk reversed things several times and got the upperhand. Punk then knocked Morrison off the apron and flipped Burke out over the ropes. ECW went to break with Morrison and Burke laying outside the ring.
Back from break, CM Punk threw Burke to the ropes then took him down. Tazz said Punk was in control of things through the break. Dreamer tagged in and continued the assault on Burke, slamming him near the ropes. Dreamer and Punk continued to tag in and out to doubleteam Burke and dominate the matchup. Burke finally got away after hitting Dreamer in the face with his knee. Morrison tagged in and tried to take control of Dreamer, but Dreamer managed to pick up Morrison and slam him back. Dreamer grabbed Morrison's legs and catapulted Morrison into the corner of the ring. Dreamer followed up with a running bulldog on Morrison. Dreamer put Morrison in a Texas Cloverleaf submission hold until Morrison was able to reach the bottom rope to break it.
Morrison finally able to escape and did a spinning kick to the head of Dreamer followed by a dropkick. Burke tagged in and took control of Dreamer, keeping him down with a neckhold. Punk tried to stretch out to encourage Dreamer to tag out. Burke with a solid kick to Dreamer's head as he was down on the mat. Dreamer got to his feet but Burke rammed him back to the corner with Morrison. Dreamer started punchig both men until Burke knocked him down. Burke ran at the corner and then dropped himself down onto a fallen Dreamer. Morrison tagged in and continued punishing Dreamer down on the mat. Dreamer was finally able to get up and slam Morrison down on his back. Morrison was able to crawl over and tag Burke back in as Dreamer struggled to get up. Burke and Morrison continued to work on Dreamer, isolating him and preventing the tag.
Dreamer finally escaped when Morrison climbed the ropes and Dreamer pushed him. After Dreamer slammed Morrison off the ropes, he crawled over to tag in Punk who ran across the ring and knocked down Burke. Punk then flew over the top ropes onto Morrison outside the ring. Punk got back in the ring to beat up Burke more. Morrison finally crawled back in and tried to attack Punk, but Punk landed a spinning kick on Morrison's head to knock him down. Punk looked out at Morrison who rolled out of the ring, as Burke tried to run at Punk. Punk turned and ducked Burke's attack then hoisted him onto his shoulders. Punk drove Burke down into his knee for the finishing move and pinfall victory.
Winners: CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer win via pinfall over Elijah Burke and John Morrison.
