Love or Hate Cena?
It's quite the faction in the WWE, but you're going to have this sort of thing in sports and entertainment. The division between those that either love or hate a team, or in this case a wrestler/personality. Personally, I was a fan of John Cena since his early rapper gimmick, because it was creative on the WWE's part. Vince McMahon and the creative team usually think up some great gimmicks, characters and storylines which have made the WWF and WWE. Cena's rap star persona came during the hot rap career of Eminem so it made good sense to have a wrestler with a similar character. Some of Cena's rap lines and battles were quite entertaining, as were his early feuds with the likes of Kurt Angle, Big Show and even Undertaker.
Cena's popularity only continued to climb, and usually once you become mega popular with a large fanbase, you're going to get your share of haters. Those would be the ones with the "sucks" chants or chanting "you can't wrestle" as Cena is standing in the ring on Raw. But let's be honest, Cena is a success story with a very large fanbase, makes money and is a celebrity. Celebrities will always have a mix of supporters and detractors, with a large amount of jealousy translated into hatred.
Some of the top reasons fans may hate Cena:
1) The knock that he can't wrestle.
2) The fact he has been champ for over a year.
3) The fact he is popular with a good number of fans.
4) Disliking his current character or delivery of lines.
Point #1 is hard to agree with because those saying Cena uses the same moveset, must not realize most wrestlers use the same moves repeatedly in their matches and victories. For example, Matt Hardy is very talented, but on Smackdown was seeming to win matches in the same fashion week after week, using move 1 in the corner of the ring, followed by move 2 and finally getting the Twist of Fate. It's hard to say someone in the WWE "can't wrestle". Let's face it, these guys are all entertainers and performers. In all actuality, this is not Olympic wrestling, it's a presentation used to entertain fans. In fact, it would almost seem people should say the only true wrestlers are guys like Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas and former WWF star Ken Patera. They were "real wrestlers". Saying Cena can't wrestle seems to be overlooking several other current stars, such as Great Khali and Mark Henry. Some have argued Batista can't wrestle. For some reason, that criticism is largely directed at John Cena.
Point #2, the fact that Cena has held the title for so long, can be seen as a legitimate gripe and you can believe Cena is destined to lose the WWE title at some point possibly in the next few months. The WWE has set it up to be a real surprise when Cena finally loses, but it is testing many fan's patience and interest levels right now.
Point #3, the popularity of Cena was already covered. Someone who achieves success and popularity usually draws a good amount of jealousy and dislike, hence the haters.
Point # 4 is legit, because everyone will have certain individuals in the WWE they just can't stand. It's possible to just not like the type of wrestler or character Cena is. Unfortunately to that point, he's a clean cut champ, and in a time of suspensions over drug issues, he's the type you want as your main guy. He sells merchandise, events and Pay Per Views for WWE, so they would want him as the flagship of their product and brand.
Love Cena or hate him, he is what he is. He's not the Rock, he's not Stone Cold, but will definitely be mentioned amongst them for having this sort of historic and lengthy title reign which matches up with other epic WWE title runs. And there's a great quote that "you're nobody til somebody hates you". John Cena must be somebody.
Most WWE fans have an opinion on Cena, either for or against him. Feel free to comment, but keep it clean.

John Cena FOREVER!
IF U HATE JOHN CENA YOUR HATERS CAUSE THE CHAMP IS HERE i'm the only #1 john cena fan
When it comes to John Cena i like him good or bad.I think alot of people turn in just to see what he's up too.
I LOVE JOHN CENA!!
HE'S THE BEST!!!!!!!!
Personally I am a HUGE JOHN CENA fan. I would like for him to keep it. It sucks that there are alot of people out there that hate him because he has had the belt for over a year now. Get over it. If he is making WWE money, they are gonna continue to promote him. Either way. JOHN CENA will always be WWE CHAMP to me. No hate!
I like John Cena and everything but on the note sucess doesn't happen overnight though if you remember when on John Cena first started in the WWE. He climbed the mountain by losing a lot to big name superstars like Eddie and the Undertaker. On that note, dont you think it would be alright for John Cena to win the WWE title and get his share to fame for quite a period of time?
cena is only popular because the girl like him and have crushes on him..the guys who actually watch wrestling are right when they say he cant wrestle..he limits himself with only a certain amount of moves..he is not a high flyer and he is not a heavyweight dominate type wrestler(allah undertaker, bobby lashley, brock lesnar etc) he is a wrestler that feeds off the crowd and has comedy is his interviews and thats why children admire him....but he still sucks and cena NEEDS to lose this championship already..vince needs to script a lose for him already unless he is waiting for wrestlemania or something..
well i think cena has no tallent plus only the gurls like him and if its a guy they're prob. gay he just cant wrestle..
John Cena is one of the best champions I have ever seen in WWE. He has the charisma to get a reaction, not to mention, he has held the title far longer than any other active superstar. The "Powers that Be" must see something there to let him continue to hold the title. As to whether I like John Cena, the answer to that one is EASY.....HELL YEAH I LIKE JOHN CENA. To everyone that hates Cena, GET OVER IT, HE IS MORE OF A MAN THAN MOST OF YOU EVER WILL BE.
