2009 Survivor Series Matches
Survivor Series 2009 goes down on Sunday, November 22, 2009 from Washington D.C.'s Verizon Center. In the past, this World Wrestling Entertainment PPV has been linked with the Thanksgiving holiday and involved "survivor-style" elimination matches. In more recent years, there have been a variety of matches on the card, including major title matches and other feuds. The main event so far features both the WWE Title and World Heavyweight title being defended in Triple Threat matches, and each will feature the champ facing a tag team duo. John Cena is pitted against D-Generation X's Shawn Michaels and Triple H, while Undertaker must face the Unified Tag Team champs, Chris Jericho and Big Show. This makes the odds better for the tag team to possibly take home the title, although they'll need to be on the same page to be more effective. Here's a look at the matches scheduled so far for the 2009 Survivor Series.
Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H vs. John Cena
John Cena has seen plenty of challenges along the way to his seventh WWE title reign. Most recently, he had to survive some extremely punishing contests involving longtime rival, Randy Orton. Cena managed to defeat Orton in what they called the end to their rivalry at Bragging Rights, a 60 Minute Anything Goes Iron Man match. With the win, Cena reclaimed the title and is now on top of the WWE Universe. However, he has little time to prepare for two tough opponents in DX's Michaels and HHH. These two have been effective tag team partners and good friends for a long time now, with each holding victories over Cena. Cena has also beaten both of these men in various matches as well. At Survivor Series, will Cena be able to overcome the challenge of facing two tough tag team partners, or will one of the members of DX walk out of the PPV as the new WWE champ?
Chris Jericho vs. Big Show vs. Undertaker
At Bragging Rights, everything seemed on track for Team Raw to bring home the trophy as Kofi Kingston prepared to hit a move off the corner on Chris Jericho. However, the Big Show pulled the ultimate traitor act when he chokeslammed Kofi off the corner, then delivered a knockout punch to team captain HHH. Chris Jericho made the winning pin, and soon after Team Smackdown hoisted up the Bragging Rights trophy. It was learned on Raw, that Big Show made a deal with Smackdown GM Teddy Long, in exchange for a World Heavyweight Title shot against The Undertaker at Survivor Series. Chris Jericho and Kane, who are residents of the Smackdown roster, and were co-captains of the Bragging Rights 7 man team, claimed they each deserved a shot at Undertaker's title as well for helping the team win. Teddy Long decided to let them settle it in a matchup on Smackdown, with Jericho ultimately winning it. Now it will be The Undertaker defending his title against the Unified Tag Team champs. They've been successful business partners as they've defended their title numerous times and seemed to be on the same page. However, on Raw there was a hint that the two may have their own agendas to win the major title. Will Undertaker be able to keep his title in tact as of Survivor Series? Or will one of the JeriShow members become new World Heavyweight Champion?

2009 Survivor Series Matches
Team Kingston vs. Team Orton
Things have become quite volatile lately between rising superstar Kofi Kingston, and The Viper, Randy Orton. It all started at Bragging Rights when Legacy chose to attack Kofi backstage following the Team Smackdown win over Team Raw. Later in the night, Legacy tried to aid Randy Orton in his WWE title match against John Cena. Kingston rushed to chase off his attackers, effectively helping Cena in the process. The next night on Raw, Orton was furious and blamed Kingston for causing him to lose the WWE title. Orton tossed Kofi off the top of the ramp down to the hard floor. Luckily, Kingston was ok, and later on he got his own revenge as he defaced and destroyed Orton's brand new NASCAR given to him by Legacy. This further infuriated the Legend Killer, leading to a heated feud. The two have yet to get it on in singles competition, but it may come down to a battle between these two in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match! Kingston is joined by MVP, Mark Henry, Christian and R-Truth while Orton leads a team of Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase, William Regal and CM Punk. Who will be the survivors in this heated battle?Team Mickie vs. Team Michelle
Mickie James is one of the newest divas on Smackdown, and already Michelle McCool doesn't like her appearing on her show. Recently, Michelle and Layla tried to harass Mickie backstage, asking her to leave. Mickie refused to back down, and reminded Michelle that she'll be heading up a team at Survivor Series. Mickie will be joined by the divas champion, Melina, as well as Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim and Eve Torres. On the opposing side are Alicia Fox, Beth Phoenix, Layla and Jillian, backing up Michelle. Mickie has vowed not only to win at Survivor Series but that she will also win the Women's title from McCool. Will this match give Mickie the necessary momentum to achieve her goal?Team Morrison vs. Team Miz
Once again the former tag team partners and Slammy Award winners will be facing off in a battle. This time they'll be backed up by 4 other wrestlers from Raw, Smackdown & ECW. The US Champ Miz was able to defeat his former partner at Bragging Rights, but Morrison continues to show why he's the Intercontinental champion. Morrison heads up a team that consists of Shelton Benjamin, Evan Bourne, Matt Hardy & Finlay. Hardy & Finlay were both on the winning side of the Team Smackdown vs. Team Raw Bragging Rights match. Meanwhile, The Miz heads up a squad that features Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre and Jack Swagger. Swagger recently got into his team captain's face to proclaim he'd soon be the new team captain, because Miz is in awe of him. Miz laughed it off, and later came out to distract Swagger during a match with Evan Bourne. Bourne pulled off the upset win, sending Swagger into a rage that his undefeated streak had come to a close. Can Team Miz be on the same page with so much cocky, raw, young talent? Or will Team Morrison be able to take advantage of their differences?Rey Mysterio vs. Batista
Once best friends, these two highly-acclaimed and storied WWE superstars are now part of a heated feud. It all started as the two were booked in a Fatal Fourway for Bragging Rights which also involved CM Punk and champion The Undertaker. Batista felt slighted as he was the one taking the pin and blamed Mysterio for the loss, which meant he lost out on the title. After the match, he confronted Rey on the mic and calmly informed him "I'm gonna rip your head off". From there it was a total dismantling as Batista tossed Rey around like a ragdoll, leaving him battered and bruised. The fallout continued onto their Smackdown show when Mysterio called Batista down to the ring to try to work things out. Batista refused to hear it, and let Mysterio know he has one goal only: to recapture the World Heavyweight title. Batista is now looking out for himself as he continues to walk alone, and he's threatened to hurt anyone who gets in his path, including Mysterio. Mysterio has said he's ready to show Batista a side of him he's never realized. Which of these two icons in sports entertainment will win this match, and will it be a swift resolution to their feud, or just the beginning?Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H vs. John Cena
WWE Title Triple Threat match

Hmm no traditional 5 on 5 survivor series match ups?
It looks like they may have a divas version based on what Smackdown said..Michelle McCool is one captain and Mickie James is the other.
