Raw Recap 11.02.09

Raw Recap from Worcester, MA:

The live audience was shown immediately, with Justin Roberts introducing Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne. Smoke started to shoot up around the ring, and Ozzy was shown in the ring seated in a throne with Sharon at his side. The crowd went wild as Ozzy's music played and he saluted the crowd. They rolled highlight footage from April 7, 1986 Wrestlemania II and May 15, 2007 Smackdown, Ozzy's other appearances with WWE. Sharon asked Ozzy if he remembered those times and he said "absolutely not". As Sharon started to talk again, The Miz came out to interrupt, carrying his United States title belt.

Miz said he was a bigger star than the two of them and their family combined. Miz told them he was robbed last week during his match against Evan Bourne, due to outside interference. Miz said he wants the match stricken from the records, and have the ref overturn the decision. Ozzy asked Miz who he was, and Miz started his "I'm the Miz and I'm -" statement, but Legacy made their way to the ring to interrupt that. Cody told Miz it was petty to complain about losing by countout. Rhodes started to tell Ozzy how their gift to Orton was ruined last week. Dibiase grabbed the mic and said he payed for it all. Rhodes said they deserve retribution and asked for a handicap match against Kofi Kingston tonight. Miz interrupted saying his issue comes first. Just then, Big Show's music hit and Show came walking down to the ring.

Show told Ozzy and Sharon to ignore those whiners and complainers. Show said last week he was assaulted by the entire Raw roster. Show demanded an apology. Ozzy said "I'm so sorry", with Show saying he wants all of the roster to apologize to him. Just then, Triple H and Shawn Michaels came out. Triple H said they have a lot in common. They pulled out "I am Ozzy" book, and DX's book to show to the camera. Miz told HHH this is serious and not time for a plug. HHH said it was time to fix everyone's issues, and whispered to Ozzy. Ozzy then said Miz will face Evan Bourne tonight with the US title on the line.

Michaels said he could help out Legacy, not with Wrestlemania tickets that go on sale this weekend, but with their situation with Kofi Kingston. Big Show said tonight he wants to see a Triple Threat match between DX and Cena. He whispered to Sharon, who then announced Kofi will take on Randy Orton tonight. Show then whispered to Ozzy, who said there will be a Triple Threat match involving John Cena. Triple H whispered into Ozzy's ear and he listed off the other two comeptitors: Chris Jericho and Big Show. Sharon told Show that's the final decision, and if he's not down with it she's got two words for him.

Raw Rewind showed footage of last week's Evan Bourne vs The Miz match. Eve was seated at ringside to watch and Jack Swagger got on the mic at ringside. Swagger said nobody's watching the match, they're all watching Eve, or Eve watching him. Miz came over and did a move right near Swagger, then went to the outside to argue with him. Bourne dove over the ropes to land on both men which resulted in Miz being counted out,

Evan Bourne vs. The Miz
United States Championship

Evan had a near fall late in the match, but Miz recovered to strike him in the gut. Miz went for a suplex, with Bourne countering and doing another near fall attempt followed by a knee to the head. Miz stumbled back to the corner so Bourne ran at him. Miz moved away, but Bourne jumped from off the middle ropes to connect a kick to Miz' head. Miz charged at Bourne in the opposite corner with Bourne kicking him. With Miz down, Bourne went for Shooting Starpress. Miz rolled away and Bourne landed on his feet. Miz did an armbar toss of Bourne into the corner, then hit his finisher the Skull Crushing Finale.

Winner: The Miz wins via pinfall over Evan Bourne to retain the United States Championship.

Later tonight, Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton settle their differences in the ring.

When Raw returned, Lawler reminded fans of the upcoming Triple Threat match involving John Cena, Big Show and Chris Jericho.

Josh Matthews interviewed Raw's newest star Sheamus backstage about his upcoming match against Jamie Noble. Sheamus dissed Ozzy Osbourne saying his career should have been finished a while ago, then said Jamie Noble's career will be over after tonight's match.

Jamie Noble vs. Sheamus

Noble tried for a quick strike but Sheamus gave him a hard forearm shot, then repeatedly kicked away at him in the corner. Noble rolled outside, where Sheamus grabbed him and tossed him into the ringpost. Back in the ring, Sheamus clubbed down Noble from behind, then continued to punish him down on the mat. He started choking Noble against the bottom rope then elbowed him in the head. Sheamus stood Noble up to knee repeatedly before slamming him across his knee. He delivered a running boot to the head to go for a pin, but pulled up at 2 so he could deliver more damage. Sheamus kept hammering away and kicking on Noble in the corner.

The referee finally decided to stop the match since Noble couldn't continue. Sheamus went over to beat on Noble more, sitting him up on the corner and then punching him off. Outside the ring Sheamus continued the attack with a hard Powerbomb on the floor. Several referees rushed down to attend to Noble who was making strange repeated noises. A stretcher was rolled down the ramp to get Noble out for medical help. Sheamus watched from the ramp smiling diabolically as Noble was put on the stretcher. Several replays were shown of the Powerbomb on Noble.

Winner: Sheamus wins due to referee's decision when Noble couldn't continue the match.

When Raw returned, Lawler and Cole discussed what just went down with Sheamus and Jamie Noble, saying an update would come soon. They talked about last week's Raw hosted by the NASCAR stars, then showed highlights of Kofi Kingston defeating Chris Jericho. As Kofi was celebrating up on the ramp, Orton came out and tossed him off the stage. Later on, Orton was interviewed saying Kofi cost him the WWE title by coming into play during the Bragging Rights match. On Raw, Legacy presented Orton a brand new NASCAR race car with his picture painted on the hood. Orton was in the ring later on with Legacy, when Kofi Kingston appeared on the Titantron. He told Orton to stop complaining because nobody cares, then defaced and destroyed his car with a crowbar and paint.

Kofi Kingston was shown walking backstage when Josh Matthews caught up with him asking if he had any regrets for last week. Kingston said that Orton is the classic bully blaming someone else for losing. Kofi proudly said he destroyed all of Orton's car last week, except the mirror. He said he left that so Orton can take a look at exactly why he's no longer the WWE champ.

The "I Am Ozzy" autobiography book will be available on January 25, 2010, which includes talk of his music career, reality TV and the "bat".

Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton

Orton paced around Kofi to try to bully him, and then Kofi slapped him in the face to get started. Orton took exception, beating up Kofi in the corner and stomping away on him. Orton leveled Kofi with a clothesline to keep him down. Orton picked Kofi up and tried for a clothesline, but Kofi ducked and gained momentum as he eventually knocked Orton outside the ring. As Kofi was getting back in the ring, he noticed Legacy charging down the ramp. Kofi pulled the top rope down causing Orton to fall out onto Legacy outside the ring as they got there. Kofi then did the running dive onto all three guys, prompting them to surround the ring with him in it.

Ozzy and Sharon came up on the Titantron saying they knew this was going to happen, so it will know be a six man tag match. MVP and Mark Henry came down the ramp to be Kofi's partners.

Winner: Match changed to a six man tag match.

Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry & MVP vs. Randy Orton & Legacy

Raw joined the new match in progress with Kofi having the upperhand on legacy. He took out Rhodes and Dibiase, then Orton who came in at him. Kofi knocked Dibiase down and tagged in MVP. Kofi and MVP did their trademark moves, Ballin elbow and Boom Boom leg drop in unison. Mark Henry came in to try to work on Dibiase, but ended up getting kicked in the leg. Legacy tried a doubleteam, but Henry clotheslined both men down together.

MVP was tagged back in and ended up getting caught in a doubleteam by Legacy. Dibiase took control then tagged in Orton to pound away on MVP in the corner. The trio continued working over MVP to keep him away from his partners. MVP got to his feet against Rhodes, but soon ate a dropkick. Rhodes had a nearfall before tagging Orton back in. MVP started to fight off Legacy, but Orton hit a drop toe hold to take him down. He went for a running knee drop with MVP rolling out harm's way the first time. Orton got him on the next try and had a near fall. MVP had a near escape against Orton, but got dragged back into center ring. Dibiase tagged in, and MVP was able to do a throw on him so he could make a hot tag to Henry. Henry came in annihilating everyone in sight, then hit a running splash on Rhodes in the corner. He had him up for a move, but Orton came in to disrupt. Kofi rushed in and dropkicked Orton out of the ring. Rhodes tried to leap off the corner onto Henry who caught him from the air and hit Worlds Strongest Slam.

Orton glared at Kofi from the bottom of the ramp as Kofi celebrated in the ring with Henry and MVP.

Winners: Kofi Kingston, MVP & Mark Henry win via pinfall over Randy Orton, Ted Dibiase & Cody Rhodes.

Still to come tonight are John Cena in a Triple Threat against Jericho and Show. Up next is "Raw's got Talent" hosted by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

Wrestlemania XXVI tickets go on sale this Saturday at Noon.

The official 2009 Survivor Series theme song is "Get Thru This" by Art of Dying, available on iTunes. Official artist website is www.artofdyingmusic.com.

Jerry Lawler was in the ring with Sharon and Ozzy seated at a special table. Lawler said three of Raw's superstars will perform in talent competition. The third special judge was introduced as The Great Khali. Khali came out in a snazzy suit along with his translator Singh. Khali sat next to Sharon at the mics and said something. Lawler said he believes Khali just said he has a huge crush on their daughter. Sharon said they'd love to have Khali as a son-in-law.

Lawler introduced the first competitor, Santino Marella. Santino came out dressed as vintage Ozzy Osbourne. Santino said for his talent he will bite the head off a bat. He pulled out a Batman action figure and bit its head off. Sharon Osborne gave a thumbs down and he was sent off the stage. Next up was Chris Masters doing a performance to "Crazy Train". Masters started flexing his chest muscles to go to the beat of the song. Sharon said she loved it. Ozzy yelled "buy that man a bra". Singh translated for Khali saying he found that oddly mesmerizing.

The final contestants were Chavo Guerrero and Jillian Hall. They did a bad duet version of Ozzy and Lita Ford's song "Close my Eyes". Ozzy and Sharon were immediately disgusted by it as the audience booed Jillian and Chavo. Jillian and Chavo started trash talking as they came down to the ring. Jillian started singing a Britney Spears song to the disgust of Sharon who slapped her across the ring. Chavo told Ozzy to control his wife. Ozzy said he can't but Chavo can try. Chavo got in Sharon's face, causing Khali to get up. Chavo tried to plead with him but ended up getting chopped down. Hornswoggle's music hit and he came running down the ramp dressed as Jack Osbourne in big wig and white shirt/tie. He completed the segment by doing the Tadpole Frogsplash on Chavo from the corner. Hornswoggle and Khali celebrated with the Osbornes in the ring.

Backstage, Kelly Kell was shown walking and met up with the Bella Twins. The three kept walking as they passed Gail Kim. Eve Torres showed up too, with Cole saying there will be a divas battle royal to determine Melina's next contender for the Divas title.

Next week in Sheffield, England the guest host will be Welterweight boxing champion Ricky Hatton.

Divas Battle Royal

The winner of this match becomes #1 contender for Melina's Divas Championship. Competing in the match: Alicia Fox, Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim, Nikki and Brie Bella. Kelly jumped on Alicia and the two started rolling around. The Bellas separated to fight with Gail and Eve in separate corners. Kelly had Gail Kim on the apron trying to kick her out. Melina was shown watching the match backstage on a monitor. Gail Kim was eliminated when Kelly tried to dump one of the Bella Twins out. Kelly tried to apologize to Gail Kim who walked off. Meanwhile, Jack Swagger came walking down the ramp to observe.

Eve started to knock around various divas with clotheslines and dropkicks. Eve knocked both Bella Twins out of the ring to eliminate them. It was down to Eve, Kelly and Alicia. Swagger signaled to Eve that he was watching her and she had a confused look. The distraction may have eliminated Eve as Alicia got the upperhand to boot her out of the ring. Kelly picked up Alicia on her shoulders and tried to toss her out, but Alicia held the top rope. Alicia elbowed out and got down to fight. Kelly knocked her to the corner then did her handspring move to elbow Alicia in the corner. Alicia caught her and picked up Kelly to dump her over the top ropes. Alicia celebrated the win as Melina was shown watching backstage.

Winner: Alicia Fox wins the Divas battle royal to become #1 Contender for the Divas Championship.

Cole and Lawler had an updated on Jamie Noble after showing another replay of Sheamus' beatdown/powerbomb on him. Cole said Noble has serious back and neck injuries as a result of the attack. They showed some replays of the various incidents and segments with Sharon and Ozzy interacting with WWE Superstars during tonight's Raw.

When Raw returned, they brought up the situation between Batista and Rey Mysterio on Smackdown. Highlights were shown of Bragging Rights where Batista made his turn to beat up Mysterio following their Fatal Fourway match. The two had an in-ring confrontation on Friday's Smackdown, with Mysterio trying to settle things. Batista wasn't having it, but no punches were thrown. Batista said he's thinking about himself from here on out, then left the ring with Mysterio still there.

Backstage, Ozzy and Sharon were getting romantic when Chris Jericho entered. Jericho said once again guest hosts are making a mockery of Raw. He said he wasn't consulted on any decisions tonight. Jericho said he idolized Ozzy growing up and tried to imitate him. Jericho said he finally realized he didn't need to pander to the fans, and now he's better than Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy and Sharon laughed it off as Jericho exited.

D-Generation X were shown backstage chastising Hornswoggle who was hanging up on a large equipment box. DX said he can't infringe on their copyrights any more. Hornswoggle did a DX crotch chop and then John Cena entered the picture to take him down from being hung up. Cena talked about how Hornswoggle is the reason they have to compete in a Triple Threat match at Survivor Series. HHH said he's not worried about it because he beat Cena 2 weeks ago. Michaels reminded Cena he beat him in England. Cena remarked how they all beat each other all the time. The Bella Twins happened to be nearby and looked puzzled then left. Michaels said DX has a high probability of leaving with the WWE title. Cena said anything can happen in a Triple Threat match and he doesn't even have to be pinned. He said when he wins though he'll have four words for them "The Champ is Here!"

Highlights were shown from last week's main event where John Cena was guest ref for a Lumberjack match between Triple H and Big Show. It ended with Show taking a pin on HHH, but Cena pretended to have a hang nail so he couldn't complete the count. Then, each of the various Raw stars from around the ring came in to hit their finishers on Show, before he got Pedigreed by HHH for the pin.

John Cena vs. Chris Jericho vs. Big Show

DX was seated with Cole and Lawler for the main event commentary. As Raw came back from a break, Show yanked Cena out of the ring to beat on. Jericho and Show got into a brief encounter in the ring before turning their attention back to beating on Cena.
DX kept talking about their 66% chance of winning the title at Survivor Series.

Show eventually missed on a splash in the corner, and Cena began to gain momentum against Jericho. He hit a running bulldog, but Show hit him with a quick spear. Jericho did a Lionsault and went for the pin, with Show yanking him off. Show grabbed Jericho around the neck and threw him over the top rope. Cena ducked a Show clothesline and went at Show. He avoided a Chokeslam and then tried for Attitude Adjustment, but the weight was too much. Show pulled Cena towards the corner and went for a seated splash off the corner. Cena rolled away to avoid it.

Cena managed to hit a flying shoulder block into Show to knock him out of the ring. Jericho came in but Cena knocked him to the mat and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle to the crowd's delight. Cena hoisted Jericho up for the Attitude Adjustment but it was too close to the ropes. Show got up near the apron and hit the Knockout Punch. It caused Jericho to fall back on top of Cena for the winning pin. After the win, Jericho smiled slyly and Show gave him some argument over how he won. The duo soon teamed up to put a double submission move on Cena. DX tore off their commentary headsets and charged into the ring to try to help. Show delivered a knockout punch on Michaels and eventually headbutted HHH down. Show and Jericho celebrated their destruction of the three men as Raw ended.

Winner: Chris Jericho wins the Triple Threat by pinfall over John Cena.
