Raw Preview 11.23.09

Last night's 2009 Survivor Series results produced some interesting winners at the annual Pay-Per-View. Several Raw superstars were on the winning end making for a great night for the program. In all three of the traditional elimination matches, there was a Raw winner left standing at the end. For the divas it was WWE Divas Champion Melina, who scored the final pinfall on Michelle McCool, leaving just Melina and Mickie James victorious. Team Miz was victorious as well, with Raw's Miz and Sheamus, as well as Smackdown's Drew McIntyre the sole survivors. Next it appears Sheamus may be doing battle with Jerry Lawler, but who's next for The Miz? And Kofi Kingston continued his meteoric rise to superstardom as he managed to battle both CM Punk and Randy Orton on his own, taking out both former World Champions in a matter of seconds. Kingston seems to be on top of the WWE Universe now, but what will be his next move? Is the feud with Orton over, or still heating up?

In Raw's Triple Threat WWE title match, there was a surprise in store as the match started, when Shawn Michaels quickly Superkicked his DX tag partner, Triple H. The move shocked everyone, including John Cena, the crowd and of course Triple H, who didn't get into the match for a good four minutes. Once recovered, HHH delivered a vicious Spinebuster to send Shawn Michaels right through the announce table. Continuously through the contest, Shawn Michaels hit moves to take his partner out of the action or prevent the victory. In the end, all three men battled it out in the ring, with John Cena able to deliver the Attitude Adjustment and slam Michaels onto HHH. After a pinfall, John Cena retained his WWE Title, but what will become of D-Generation X? Will Triple H confront Shawn Michaels over what happened, or will the duo still be on the same page?

Tonight's episode of Raw will be a special 3-hour Thanksgiving edition, which will feature wrestlers from Raw, ECW & Smackdown all in action. The show will be guest hosted by former WWE Superstar and commentator, Jesse "the Body" Ventura. Jesse's also an actor and the former governor of Minnesota, and always had plenty to say when he joined Vince McMahon on commentary back in the WWF days. What sorts of matches will Ventura set up between the superstars of Raw, ECW & Smackdown tonight?

Catch Raw tonight on USA at a special start time of 8PM EST!
