Team Miz vs. Team Morrison

Ring announcer Justin Roberts gave the rules for the traditional elimination matches, then began the intros. Miz arrived to the ring followed by Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, and Sheamus. Next it was time for the face team, with Evan Bourne, Finlay, Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin and John Morrison arriving to the ring.

Things began with Raw's Swagger and Bourne tangling in the ring. Bourne eluded Swagger a bit but finally was caught in a suplex. In came Dolph Ziggler next. Bourne eventually escaped Ziggler who dominated him for a bit. Bourne tagged Hardy and the two faces took it to Dolph with a double elbow shot from the second rope. Hardy was in but tagged Bourne back in. Bourne hit his Shooting Starpress to eliminate Ziggler for the pin. Immediately, Drew McIntyre rushed into the ring and nailed Bourne with a DDT move to eliminate him. Finlay rushed in to go after McIntyre, who tagged in Sheamus. The two Irishmen stared at one another, until Finlay got distracted. Sheamus hit the big boot and Finlay was out of the match.

Matt Hardy was the next face wrestler to enter the mix, but ended up trapped by the heels. He started off battling against Sheamus, who Jerry Lawler wants a piece of after Raw's incident. Sheamus made a tag to the team captain. Miz came in and started to dominate Hardy. Miz and Matt ended up knocking one another down to the mat but Miz managed to get the tag out to Swagger who continued to take control of Hardy with his offense. Matt finally tagged out to get Morrison in for his first action. During Morrison's scuffle with Jack Swagger, the ref got knocked out, and a new ref came in to officiate. Morrison was able to get his Starship Pain move on Swagger for the second heel elimination.

Next up, Miz and Morrison brawled a bit. Miz scored a double axehandle on JMo for the near fall. Shelton tagged in next, and started to take control hitting a series of suplexes on Miz. Miz finally recovered to hit his finisher the Skullcrushing Finale for the pinfall elimination of Shelton.

It was now Hardy and Morrison against McIntyre, Miz and Sheamus. Hardy got some momentum going against McIntyre, but soon fell victim to the double-arm DDT sending Hardy out. It was now team captain Morrison versus the three heels. Morrison tried to attack all three guys and was briefly successful. He soon got kicked mid-air by Sheamus then hit by a Razor's Edge move to slam Morrison. Sheamus took the final pinfall to win it for he, Miz and McIntyre.

Elimination order & times:

Dolph Ziggler out at 3:58 by Bourne
Evan Bourne out at 4:12 by McIntyre

Backstage, Christian was with Team Kingston including Kofi, Henry & MVP and R-Truth. Christian kept saying he noticed a difference between him and them, then said that it was he's from ECW. Next up he told them he's a good rapper and did a quick bit including some "What's Up's" directed to R-Truth. He said he'd work on it, than walked off, before rushing back to get hyped up for the match with Team Kofi.

Rey Mysterio vs. Batista

Mysterio had Batista down for an early 619 attempt, but the Animal escaped the outside. Batista was able to take Rey out of the ring then rammed him against the apron. Batista went for the Batista Bomb early, with Rey able to escape it. He went for another 619 attempt, but this time Batista caught him by the legs and set up a Batista Bomb. Rey got out of that and tossed Batista out of the ring. He followed with the baseball slide dropkick and then a running Sentaun bomb off the apron.

Finally on his third attempt, Rey got the 619 to connect. Rey went to the top rope for a splash attempt, with Batista able to block it. Batista followed with a spear to take Rey down. Next up was the Batista Bomb. With Rey down on the mat, Batista contemplated his next move. Batista hit a second Batista Bomb, and then a third, after removing his elbow pads. Rey looked out of it, and was unable to continue so the ref called the match by decision.

After the bell, various officials and medical staff came to Rey's aid. Batista grabbed a steel chair and was ready to smash Mysterio. Instead he picked up Rey on his shoulder like he was going to take him out of the ring, then did a powerslam into the chair with Mysterio. The crowd was behind The Animal in Washington, DC as he headed up the ramp then turned to see Mysterio being put onto a gurney with a neckbrace.

Winner: Batista wins due to referee's decision over Rey Mysterio.

Orton gave an angry rant pep talk to his squad backstage, telling Regal he expected him to be the ECW champ, and expected Legacy to show why they're the future of WWE. Next, he turned to Punk and said he expected him to be the Straight-edge world champ. Punk laughed at Orton, saying he needs to lead by example rather than be embarassed by Kofi Kingston. Cody used a leg scissors to keep Christian down on the mat, but Christian soon escaped to make a tag to MVP. MVP did his thing and knocked Rhodes to the mat for the Ballin' elbow drop. MVP got distracted by Orton though and that allowed Rhodes to connect on Cross Rhodes taking out MVP. Not much later, Christian connected on his Killswitch to take out Rhodes.

Orton came in to go against Christian, and ran over to knock Kofi off the apron. Christian tried to surprise Orton with a small package rollup pin, but it didn't work. Orton went for a RKO after CM Punk distracted Christian. Christian avoided it and hit the Killswitch instead. He went for the pin but Punk was in to break things up. Christian sent Punk out of the ring, but turned to get hit by Orton's RKO.

Kofi came in to face Orton, who quickly ducked out to tag in Punk. The two began to get in each other's face talking trash, then started the fight. Punk went for a GTS with Kofi able to escape and go for Trouble in Paradise, which Punk avoided. Punk soon settled into a submission hold on Kofi on the mat with Orton watching. Kofi got out of it and tried a splash but got caught by Punk's knees. Punk connected on a running knee in the corner, but was blocked on his Bulldog attempt out of the corner. Kofi was able to knock Punk onto the mat and connect on a crossbody splash for a near fall.
