Gregory Helms & Chris Jericho arrested in KY
Website TMZ.com is reporting that Smackdown star Chris Jericho and fellow wrestler Gregory Helms (ECW's The Hurricane) were arrested at a Kentucky Shell station for “alcohol intoxication in a public place.” Both men were taken into the Kenton County Detention Center and released on $120 bail.
According to reports from witnesses, Matt Hardy was also amongst the group. Gregory Helms allegedly struck 3 people in a tax cab he was in with Hardy and Jericho, including one female. Earlier reports from TMZ indicated that Helms hit Jericho, a man named Gary Kelley and a female passenger named Ashley Storer. Apparently, Hardy took off on foot as did Helms. The taxi driver finally pulled over at a Kentucky gas station and called 911 to report the incident.
Helms reportedly came back to the scene on his own, where he was arrested, but Matt Hardy did not return. It's been reported that the police aren't pursuing further action against Hardy. Originally, the female involved in the incident chose not to file charges for the attack. Helms and Jericho were arrested for public intoxication instead.
