Royal Rumble 2010 participants list
A little more than half of the Royal Rumble participants for the 2010 edition of the big 30-man over-the-top-rope match have been chosen. The winner of course gets to choose which title he wants to go for, traditionally it's either the WWE title or World Heavyweight. In past years, they've had qualifying matches for the Rumble, but it appears this year they're just putting wrestlers in and letting fans know on the TV shows. As of today, January 20th, there's been a total of 19 wrestlers composed of stars from Raw, ECW and Smackdown. This list will be updated as more participants are added.
The Royal Rumble will take place starting 7:45 PM on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Philips Arena. Tickets are still available here for the PPV with prices starting as low as $29 per ticket.
Here's how the field looks according to WWE.com so far:

Notes - It appears that Dolph Ziggler, Santino Marella and Gregory Helms' names were all pulled the list on WWE.com. Helms was recently arrested in Kentucky as was Chris Jericho who is still part of the match. No word on Ziggler or Marella's reason for absence, or if they won't participate.
The rules are pretty simple. There's a total of 30 men. We start with two competitors who come to the ring, and then every minute or so a new wrestler has been randomly selected to come to the ring. The match is much like a Battle Royal once guys are in the ring, it's throw every man over the top ropes until one is left standing. The Royal Rumble gets their ticket punched for Wrestlemania 26.
Shawn Michaels has already informed the Undertaker he's looking to win the Rumble and go right after the Deadman, since Taker denied Michaels' Wrestlemania rematch request. If Michaels wins, he'll get a shot at the World Heavyweight Title at Wrestlemania 26, but it's possible Undertaker could lose the title prior to the event.
