Raw Results from Stamford, CT:

The latest Raw took place from WWE TV Studios rather than Hartford, CT, since tonight’s live event in Hartford, CT was postponed due to a major snowstorm. JBL, Michael Cole and Booker T were on hand to commentate on the show which consisted of interviews with various superstars.

Cole talked about how tonight there will be an interview with Brock Lesnar, as well as a replay of last night’s Royal Rumble match. After an outside weather report in the snow from JBL on top of WWE Headquarters, they showed a replay of last night’s Triple Threat WWE title match.

Cole did a sit down interview with Seth Rollins. Rollins he underestimated Lesnar last night, but says Lesnar may have underestimated him too. Rollins added that Brock is champion but doesn’t have a Play B - the MITB briefcase. Cole says we’ll hear from Lesnar next. Rollins says he’s not going to leave and Lesnar will have to kick him off set.

After commercial, Rollins was still sitting in the interview seat when Brock Lesnar came in with Paul Heyman. Lesnar stared at Rollins wanting the seat. Finally, Rollins gets up and brushes the seat off and pushes it over, then walks out. Lesnar sits down with his WWE title belt and jokes about Rollins. He confirms he has a broken rib suffered last night. He notes he’s had other injuries before and got through those. Heyman said he and Lesnar aren’t against The Authority and he knows they need Lesnar to headline WrestleMania. He said if they need a big name like Sting or John Cena taken care of, then Lesnar’s their guy. Cole brought up Brock beating Undertaker at Mania and they cut to replays of him ending Taker’s streak. Cole talks up Lesnar being on a collision course with Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 31. Lesnar says good for Reigns that he won, but he’s up for the challenge and has been on a roll. He says when a steamroller has momentum, you stay out of its way. Heyman responds “No” when Cole asks if Reigns can beat Lesnar.

They showed a replay of the 30-Man Royal Rumble match which came down to a final four of Big Show, Kane, Roman Reigns and Rusev. Reigns managed to eliminated both Kane and Show. They got back in the ring to start beating up Reigns, but The Rock’s music hit and he rushed to the ring to help clear the ring. As Rock left the ring, Rusev got back in since he was still not eliminated. Reigns hit him with the Spear and then tossed Rusev out to win the 2015 Royal Rumble. The Rock got in the ring to raise up Reigns’ arm and celebrate the win.

Byron Saxton did a sit down interview with Roman Reigns. He brought up the crowd not being happy with Reigns winning and Roman responded saying the fans are allowed their opinions since they paid money to be there. He said he doesn’t let that affect him and still goes out to do his thing. Saxon brought up that maybe Reigns was handpicked by the WWE brass for this top spot. Reigns says he still has to go out lace up his boots and perform to get these opportunities. He said he’s looking forward to headlining WrestleMania in front of his father Sika and is looking forward to meeting Lesnar later tonight.

They announced that John Cena will face Rusev at the WWE Fast Lane pay-per-view. They showed replays of Sting’s debut on Raw. After a commercial, they announced that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be inducted into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame class. Dean Ambrose is shown making his way to the building in the snow.

Byron Saxton walked up to Dean Ambrose for an interview asking how he got there from Hartford. He told Saxton he traveled overnight, hitching a ride in the back of a truck, getting in a fight with a man at a gas station and almost losing a finger. He says no matter what, he’ll make it to WrestleMania 31 too.

Renee Young had a sit-down interview with Daniel Bryan talking about Yes Movement and the troubles he had to overcome last year. Bryan talked about how fans are upset Reigns won at the Rumble, but then said he’s disappointed he didn’t win. He says he failed, but that Reigns has a good opportunity for WrestleMania. Bryan talked about his Casket Match with Kane for SmackDown and says he has to end the feud and move on to become champion again.

Cole mediated a sit-down involving Reigns and Lesnar. Heyman suggested he could ask the questions tonight and has Cole leaves. Heyman brings up knowing Reigns’ family longer than he has. He brings up how Rock ruled WWE in 2002 until Brock Lesnar showed up and changed things. He says Rock never asked for a rematch against Lesnar. He asked how Reigns will handle the disappointment of losing to Lesnar in front of his family at Mania. Reigns says he’d like to answer that question to Lesnar. He moved his seat and faced up with Brock.

Reigns told Lesnar he knows who he is, what he is and what he’s signed up for. Reigns says he doesn’t think Brock knows what he’s signed up for. He tells him he’ll beat him and take that title. Reigns says if he can’t, he’ll take a piece of Lesnar along with him. They eventually get up face to face with a light touch. Lesnar says unlike Heyman, he doesn’t respect Reigns. Reigns looks at him and says “but you will.” They stare each other down as it goes back to JBL, Cole and Booker. They sign off after mentioning the WM31 main event and showing an outside shot of the snow scene in Stamford.

2015 WWE Royal Rumble Entries & Eliminations

The 2015 Royal Rumble match took place on Sunday, January 25th in Philadelphia, PA. Thirty men entered the match, with only one able to walk away as the winner. The match included several impressive feats and performances, including Bray Wyatt lasting in the match well over 40 minutes, as well as he and Rusev pulling off five-six eliminations each. Big Show and Kane set the all-time elimination records for their career too. However, in the end, there was one winner, and that was Roman Reigns who eliminated Kane, Big Show and Rusev as his last three eliminations in the match. (View complete PPV results)

2015 WWE Royal Rumble Results Coverage (Updated)

The 2015 WWE Royal Rumble takes place Sunday night from Philadelphia, PA. On the line in a huge 30-man Royal Rumble match is a ticket to compete at WrestleMania 31 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It will also be known after tonight's event just who is the champion that should head to WrestleMania as John Cena, Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins will compete in a Triple Threat match for the WWE title. One of those three will be the champ, and will know who is expected to challenge them come April's huge pay-per-view.

The main events include the 30-Man Royal Rumble match. Among the featured superstars who may be considered favorites to win are Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Big Show, Rusev, Bray Wyatt, Dolph Ziggler and Roman Reigns. Which of these stars will follow up last year's winner, Batista, to qualify for the main match at WrestleMania 31?

John Cena, Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar will compete in a Triple Threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Seth Rollins is also holding onto that coveted Money in the Bank briefcase. That basically gives him two chances to win the title tonight. Will he cash in?

Latest 2015 Royal Rumble Match Card:

Cesaro & Tyson Kidd defeated Big E & Kofi Kingston via pinfall. Adam Rose interfered from the outside of the ring late. Kofi had a near rollup, but Kidd shoved him towards the ropes. Cesaro hit a European Uppercut as Kofi hit the ropes. He fell back into Kidd who got the big pinfall.

The Ascension defeated New Age Outlaws via pinfall. After one of The Ascension avoided Billy Gunn's Fameasser, Ascension made a blind tag for a doubleteam move to get the big win. JBL called this a statement win as they have defeated one of the all-time great tag teams.

The Usos defeated The Miz & Damien Mizdow via pinfall to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles. Mizdow managed to hit a Skullcrushing Finale for The Miz, but Miz was unable to crawl over in enough time to make a good pin. Later, with Mizdow still on the outside, Miz fought one of The Usos on the top rope. The other Uso tagged in and Superkicked Miz down from the top then hit a Superfly Splash for the win.

The Bella Twins defeated Paige & Natalya via pinfall. The Bellas kept control of Natalya throughout the match and didn’t allow Paige a chance to tag in. Towards the end, Natalya fought off Brie and went over for the tag, but Brie yanked Paige off the apron hard to the floor. With no tag available, Natalya turned around to take a big forearm from Nikki who grabbed the win.

John Cena vs. Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar - WWE World Heavyweight title Triple Threat  Lesnar started things off in dominant fashion with continuous German Suplexes on Cena, J&J Security and then Rollins. Brock got the Kimora Lock on Cena with Cena fighting to stand up.

Brock Lesnar won via pinfall over Seth Rollins to retain the WWE Championship. At one point in the match, Cena tackled Lesnar through the timekeeper’s wall. Moments later, Cena smashed the steel steps into Lesnar causing him to fall onto the Spanish announcers table. Rollins managed to hit a huge flying elbow off the corner to smash through Lesnar and the table. That caused Lesnar to stay down for some time as doctors went to check on him. Rollins and Cena kept fighting in the ring. 

At one point, Rollins had J&J come in to help out but Cena hit a double AA on them. Later, Rollins got control and hit a huge flying corkscrew moonsault off the top rope. He had the pinfall but Lesnar was back in and yanked him off, before supplying Cena and tossing him out of the ring. Rollins hit Lesnar twice with the MITB briefcase, but when he went for the Curb Stomp, Lesnar avoided it and grabbed him for a huge F5 for the win. Lesnar walked off with the belt holding his hurt ribs, which Cole said doctors said he had at least broken a rib during the elbow drop Rollins hit on him.

30 Man Royal Rumble Match
It started off with The Miz and R-TRuth, followed by the return of Bubba Ray Dudley to a big pop. Another surprise came when Curtis Axel was on his way to the ring but Erick Rowan attacked from behind and got in the match with Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. Bray Wyatt had multiple eliminations, before getting on the mic to sign Whole World in his Hands. Zack Ryder was next out, and next eliminated by Bray who continued to dominate.

At one point, Ziggler was on fire, but he jumped off the top rope into a KO punch by Show. He and Kane lifted Ziggler’s lifeless body and dumped it out to eliminated him. Show hit Wyatt with a KO punch and eliminated him with Kane’s help next. It came down to a final four of Ambrose, Reigns, Show and Kane with the former Shield guys squaring off against the two Authority guys. They eliminated Dean Ambrose, bringing it down to Show and Kane versus Roman Reigns.

Reigns was able to show a feat of strength and eliminated Kane and Show together to win the Rumble. The fans seemed upset with the winner and booed. Show and Kane rushed back in to beat up Reigns post-match with a double chokeslam. Suddenly, The Rock’s music hit and he arrived out from backstage. Rock ducked several clothesline attempts from Show and Kane, then knocked both down. Reigns got in on it to help out. Rock left the ring after it was cleared of the two heels, but Rusev had not been eliminated. He rushed back in to go after Reigns, but Reigns avoided him and then tossed Rusev out to official win.

Post-match, The Rock came into the ring to congratulate Reigns, pointing to the WrestleMania sign. Triple H and Stephanie arrived out onto the stage to stare down at the ring. Reigns stared up at them on the stage as Rock got back in the ring to celebrate. Rock left the ring and Reigns posed up on the ring corner looking at the WrestleMania sign as fireworks and pyro went off. Cole signed off reminding fans to watch the post-show on WWE Network.

SmackDown Results 01/22/15

Smackdown results from Austin, TX:

Daniel Bryan came out to start things off and introduced the returning Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan. The crowd gave them a huge cheer. They did some in-ring speeches, but were interrupted by Kane, Rollins and The Authority, without Stephanie or Triple H. It was announced that the three returning superstars would need to win their matches tonight to be able to qualify for the Royal Rumble match on Sunday. First up was Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Bad News Barrett via pinfall in a non-title match. Ziggler hit the Zig Zag for the win to qualify for the Royal Rumble.

They had a backstage interview by Renee Young with Roman Reigns about the Royal Rumble.

Ryback defeated Rusev via contout in a non-title match. Ryback was able to qualify for the Rumble with the win. Rusev attacked Ryback post-match, but Ryback turned things around. He went for Shellshocked, but Rusev escaped and went up the ramp to get away.

Brie Bella defeated Naomi. Nikki Bella was at ringside. Paige and Natalya were on commentary together.

Luke Harper defeated Erick Rowan via pinfall. With Harper winning, Rowan did not qualify for the Royal Rumble match.

They had a backstage segment where The Miz and Damien Mizdow were announced for the Royal Rumble. Miz talked down a bit at Mizdow for what he did on Raw during the X-Pac segment.

Daniel Bryan defeated Kane via pinfall in a No DQ match. Bryan was able to get past interference by Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble. He had Kane in a submission at one point with Kane tapping, but the ref didn’t call it. Bryan eventually kicked out of a chokeslam and got a comeback win to keep his spot in the Royal Rumble. Post-match, Big Show came down to attack Bryan. The locker room cleared out and came to the ring to fight. Ziggler, Reigns, Bryan, Ambrose, Big Show and Ryback were all still standing after the brawl. The show closed with Ziggler, Ryback, Reigns, Bryan and Ambrose standing tall in the ring.

Raw Results 01/19/15

Raw results from Dallas, TX:

After a tribute video for Martin Luther King Jr, the show opened with Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar heading to the ring to call out Seth Rollins. Instead they got Triple H who tried to calm things down with Lesnar wanting a fight. Stephanie came out next to interrupt with Big Show and Kane. Rollins appeared on the big screen to laugh about things saying Lesnar gets his crack at him this weekend. John Cena came down to interject, and tried to add a stipulation to Sunday’s match that if he wins, Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan get their jobs back. Triple H said it would be added to a match Cena has tonight, but if Cena loses he is out of Sunday’s match as well. The fans would vote on WWE app if Cena must accept the match or is a failure.

Bray Wyatt defeated Daniel Bryan via pinfall. The match lasted over 15 minutes with Bray hitting Sister Abigail due to Kane hitting a cheap shot on Bryan from ringside while the ref wasn’t looking. Post-match, Kane beat up Bryan some more to leave him laid out.

Backstage, Triple H was on the phone when Nash and Hall showed up. They suggested HHH should drop this Authority gimmick so he can come out and cause trouble with them. Shawn Michaels came in to add he should join the legends panel and get them drinks. Mizdow showed up dressed as X-Pac, but then the real X-Pac showed up too. The Miz walked in and told them that Mizdow is his stunt double. He gave the Wolfpack sign before saying “Call Me” and leaving. Nash asked HHH what sort of show he’s running with Triple H responding “I’m so ashamed.”

Byron Saxton hosted a legends panel in the ring to discuss the Royal Rumble. Flair chose Dean Ambrose as his pick. Shawn Michaels picked Bray Wyatt, while Hogan picked Daniel Bryan. Big Show came out to interrupt the bit, calling them washed up legends who vanished because of him. He vowed to win the Rumble. Show told the legends to get out of his ring, but Flair stood up and took off his coat. He got in some shots on Show, but as he came off the ropes, Show KO punched him down saying that was Flair’s own fault. Roman Reigns’ music hit and he arrived through the crowd. The legends took off and Reigns clotheslined Show out of the ring over the ropes like a Rumble elimination. 

Dean Ambrose defeated Wade Barrett via pinfall in a non-title match. Barrett crotched Ambrose on the ropes late. When the IC champ went for Wasteland, Ambrose countered and hit Dirty Deeds to win the match.

Big E and Kofi Kingston defeated Tyson Kidd and Cesaro via pinfall. Late in the match, Cesaro was carrying Kofi towards the corner of the ring for a tag but Kingston pushed off the ropes and got the rollup pinfall for the win.

Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac came to the ring to talk about the glory days of NWO and how they were the biggest aspect of the Monday Night War. They brought up that fans can relive it on WWE Network for $9.99. They continued talking about being one of the greatest teams in the history of wrestling, but were interrupted by The Ascension who came to the ring. Ascension did some trash talking that they are better than any team past or present. JBL stood up and took off his headset to speak on a mic, saying they shouldn’t insult legends. He took off his dress shirt to reveal an APA shirt. Ron Simmons also came down in APA gear to join him in the ring. Next, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg came to the ring. The teams ended up taking turns beating up The Ascension, with them getting laid out. The legends stood over them to conclude the segment.

Backstage, The Authority had a guy do a drumroll as they announced who Cena will face in his big match tonight. They first announced Seth Rollins, then Big Show and then Kane as part of a handicap match. They told the drumroll guy he was fired. 

Paige & Natalya defeated Summer Rae & Alicia Fox via submission. The Bellas were on commentary for the match. Paige was able to put the PTO on Alicia to make her submit.

Rusev defeated R-Truth via submission in a non-title match. Rusev was able to get the Accolade on Truth in about 45 seconds to win this one by submission.

They had an encounter backstage where Rollins was walking with J&J security when Brock Lesnar stepped in front of him. He told Seth “I’m a prize fighter,” and mentioned he hopes Rollins does them a favor tonight by taking out Cena. Lesnar added that he’s paid to take out Rollins on Sunday, adding in “And I will take you out.” One of the commentators said Rollins looked nervous after Lesnar left the scene.

Jey Uso defeated The Miz via pinfall. Miz said in a promo pop-up video during the match that he’ll have two chances to win the Rumble because he has a stunt double. Jey Uso was able to win the match by hitting his trademark top rope splash.

John Cena defeated Seth Rollins, Big Show and Kane via pinfall in a 3-on-1 handicap match. The odds were stacked against Cena with Triple H and Stephanie watching from ringside. J&J Security got involved to help the three-man team opposing Cena. At one point, Sting showed up on the big screen standing in front of the WWE logo. After the crowd popped, Sting was shown walking to the entrance area before heading out into the arena to stand on stage. Rollins was distracted which allowed Cena to grab a rollup pinfall for the win. Triple H was fuming post-match. He stood up on the broadcast table yelling “No!” and “Sting!” with Sting leaving the scene as fans chanted for him. Brock Lesnar’s music hit and he came out with Heyman to head to the ring. Lesnar tackled Rollins before hitting an F5 on Kane. Show tried to attack Lesnar, but also was hit with an F5. Rollins was able to escape the scene with Lesnar standing tall as Raw ended. 

Raw Results 01/12/15

Raw results from New Orleans, LA:

John Cena came out to start the show, polling the crowd to see if they wanted Ziggler, Rowan and Ryback back. The crowd chanted “YES.” Cena said he has a plan B after suggesting everyone use the hashtag “#authoritysucks” on Twitter. He said he will win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and then go home. Triple H and Stephanie came out to interrupt, mocking Cena, and then giving him a chance to get the 3 fired wrestlers’ jobs back. If he can beat Seth Rollins in a Lumberjack match, the three guys are rehired. Bad News Barrett, Titus O’Neil, Curtis Axel, Big Show, Kane, Cesaro, Fandango, Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel were the lumberjacks.

Seth Rollins defeated John Cena via pinfall in the Lumberjack match. Late in the match, Cena had a cover but Kane pulled Seth Rollins towards him. Big Show pulled Cena out of the ring and delivered a KO punch on him, then put him back in the ring for Rollins to cover for the win.

Backstage, Stephanie informed The Usos and Dean Ambrose of the latest orders for them to adhere to. She told Jimmy to let Naomi know she’d be competing with one arm behind her back tonight. She told Ambrose that Dr. Corbitt will be evaluating him tonight and if he fails, he’s out of the Royal Rumble match. 

Backstage, The Miz talked up George Clooney winning a Golden Globe award but said if he keeps it up he can win the award he really covets - a Slammy.

They showed Ambrose with the doctor who started a countdown timer. Ambrose just stared at the timer as commercials arrived.

Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods defeated Tyson Kidd & Cesaro via pinfall. Woods rolled through a pinfall attempted by Kidd, then tagged in Kofi. Kingston hit a double stomp on Kidd with Woods holding him on his knees. Kofi grabbed the pin for the win.

Michael Cole promoted next week will be a Raw reunion with Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels all on the show.

An in-ring promo took place with Big Show calling Roman Reigns a loser. Reigns came out to flip the script on Show, calling him one and using the fairytale story of Jack and the Beanstalk to make his points.

Roman Reigns defeated Luke Harper via pinfall. Show tried to interfere in the match but Reigns kicked him off the apron. He eventually hit a surprise Spear on Harper for the win. Post-match, Show snuck in on Reigns and hit him with the knockout punch.

Alicia Fox defeated Naomi via pinfall. Naomi had to fight with an arm tied behind her back. Alicia was able to win it with a scissors kick in a match lasting over 3 minutes.

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar came to the ring to cut a promo. Heyman said they were back at the scene of the crime where Lesnar shocked everyone and ended Undertaker’s undefeated streak. He listed off Lesnar’s accomplishments and talked about the Triple Threat match for Royal Rumble. He questioned if Rollins being the future of WWE is “fantasy or reality?” He talked about Cena being reality, but said Lesnar will explain the difference between fantasy and reality when they all meet face to face.

The Miz defeated Jey Uso via pinfall. There was a distraction at ringside where Mizdow and Jimmy were fighting, allowing Miz to hit Skullcrushing Finale on Jey for the win.

Daniel Bryan arrived out to talk of his quest back in WWE after neck surgery. He spoke about not caring what The Authority tries to do anymore because he is there for the fans. Stephanie came out to interrupt. She tried to talk him down as not being an A plus player but Bryan said he plays to go through the Royal Rumble and to WrestleMania to win the championship again. Stephanie said that Bryan’s first match won’t be the Royal Rumble, it’ll be sooner, on Smackdown, against someone he’s very familiar with. Out came Kane to the ring area to attack Bryan, tossing him out of the ring and attempting to tombstone him on the steel steps. Bryan escaped and ended up whipping Kane into the crowd barrier. From there, he did a running suicide dive out of the ring onto Kane. Kane eventually fled up the ramp as the crowd chanted for Bryan.

Backstage, Seth Rollins was talking about winning the title to J&J security. In came Brock Lesnar behind him. He talked about Rollins beating Cena, but also weaseling his way into the title match. Rollins told him he’s the future. Leans said the future starts when he says it does. Heyman entered the scene and suggested that maybe Rollins and Lesnar could work together to take out Cena in the Triple Threat match, and then let the best man win between the two of them. Lesnar and Rollins had a staredown for a while before Lesnar backed up and left the scene.

Brie Bella defeated Paige via pinfall. Natalya and Tyson Kidd were ringside for Paige, while Nikk was ringside for Brie. At one point, Kidd got up on the ring apron which caused a distraction to Paige. Brie rolled her up for the pinfall victory. Post-match, Paige slapped Kidd in the face. Natalya left the scene without saying anything.

Bray Wyatt cut a promo about the Royal Rumble match saying that 30 souls will enter the Royal Rumble, but 29 souls will fail. He added more to his promo before saying “Run.”

Michael Cole made a big announcement that Macho Man Randy Savage is the first official inductee for the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame Class. They showed a Macho Man promo video.

The Ascension defeated two local wrestlers via pinfall. In a quick squash match of about a minute in length, they threw one guy up in the air before slamming him down and then hitting their finisher, Fall of Man, for the victory.

They cut to the segment with the therapist crying and Ambrose now sitting in his seat wearing glasses and taking some notes. He told him if he signs off on the papers for Ambrose he’ll make sure he gets him the help he needs. The therapist signed the papers and then Ambrose told him he’s spineless and screwed up. 

Rusev defeated Dean Ambrose due to referee stoppage. Ambrose was favoring his left knee which he allegedly hurt during his Ambulance match with Bray Wyatt. The ref eventually stopped the fight due to that, with Rusev getting in an extra cheap shot on the knee.

Royal Rumble Triple Threat WWE title match contract signing - They had an in-ring contract segment for the Triple Threat match at Royal Rumble. Triple H and Steph came to the ring which was set up for the signing then introduced Rollins, Cena and Lesnar. In the ring, Heyman and Rollins interrupted each other at points. Cena interjected saying that Lesnar doesn’t have to be pinned but he will pin him. He said they’ll kick Rollins’ ass and then go at it to settle their feud. Rollins told Cena his plans don’t always seem to work. He said Cena supposedly got rid of The Authority. Rollins looked over at Steph and Triple H then said, “Oh, hey, guys.” 

Eventually everyone signed, but things broke down when Rollins took a swing at Cena with the briefcase. Cena ducked it and Lesnar hit a German Suplex on Rollins. Cena grabbed Lesnar and hit an AA through the table with him. Rollins hit Cena down from behind and then hit a Curb Stomp. Rollins looked at Cena and Lesnar both laying in the ring then hit a Curb Stomp on Lesnar. Cole said Raw would return after a 30-second break. When Raw came back, Cena and Lesnar were coming to in the ring. Rollins celebrated on stage with J&J Security and The Authority to close out Raw.

Raw Results 01/05/15

Raw results from Corpus Christi, TX:

The first Raw of the new year had Michael Cole, JBL and Booker T on commentary, with Booker filling in for Jerry Lawler who was recently hospitalized for an illness. The show opened with Cena in the ring surrounded by other wrestlers to apologize for bringing back The Authority, saying he wanted to save the life of a husband, father and friend (Edge). Cena was interrupted by HHH’s music as he and Steph arrived out to address everyone. 

They thanked Cena for bringing them back and said it’s Cena Appreciation Night with his attendance mandatory. They promised they would deliver great things and also announced Ziggler would defend his title against Wade Barrett tonight. They had Seth Rollins out and praised him as well, then added him to the Cena vs. Lesnar title match at the Royal Rumble.

Wade Barrett defeated Dolph Ziggler via pinfall to become new Intercontinental Champion. Kane was ringside during the match and got on the apron after Ziggler ducked a Bull Hammer. Ziggler superkicked Kane off, but then turned around into Barrett’s Bull Hammer, giving Wade the win for the title. Post-match, Kane raised Barret’s arm in victory.

Roman Reigns was interviewed backstage by Renee Young ahead of his match with Big Show, saying he’s “faster than a single bullet, can leap a tall building in a single bound and is more powerful than a locomotive.”

Bray Wyatt cut a promo backstage to say that Dean Ambrose is going away tonight and will be a lost soul trapped in his own nightmare. He said the devil is real and tonight he walks beside him.

The Ascension came to the ring and talked of other “dominant tag teams” such as Demolition or Road Warriors. They said they would destroy Demolition and throw the Road Warriors right off the road. Booker and JBL questioned if these guys were crazy or really confident.

The Ascension defeated two local wrestlers in a squash match. JBL mocked them for facing a lesser competition and suggested he wants to see them do this against The Usos.

Roman Reigns defeated Big Show due to disqualification. Reigns went for a Superman punch late, but Show caught him by the throat and then tossed him out of the ring. On the outside, Show hit Reigns with the ring steps to cause the DQ. Post-match, Show tried to hit Reigns in the ring with the steps again, but Reigns avoided it and then speared Show down.

Natalya defeated Brie Bella via pinfall in a non-title match. Paige was with Natalya for the match while Brie was there for Nikki. Towards the end, Paige and Brie brawled at ringside. Nikki was distracted enough that Natalya rolled her up for the pinfall. Post-match, Nikki attacked Natalya, but Paige came in to make a save.

Backstage promo from Dean Ambrose who said his match with Wyatt will be “ugly, brutal and dangerous,” just how he lives his life. He said that’s how is going to end Wyatt’s.

Luke Harper defeated Erick Rowan via pinfall. Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury were special guest referees. Rowan had a cover but the two refs acted confused over who should count the pinfall. Harper recovered and hit his clothesline to pin Rowan with both of J&J counting the winning pinfall. Post-match they stomped on Rowan but he got up to fight them off. Harper knocked him back down.

Backstage, Alicia Fox and Naomi talked ahead of their mixed tag match involving The Miz & Mizdow vs The Usos. Alicia Fox said even though they’re on opposite teams nothing can come between them. Alicia said she debuts on Total Divas soon then mentioned she forgot that Naomi was kicked off the show. Naomi said it’s ok she will focus on her career. Alicia attacked Naomi and threw baby powder on her.

Bray Wyatt defeated Dean Ambrose in an Ambulance Match. Late in this one, Ambrose had control after taking the stretcher and running it into Wyatt’s neck. From there, Ambrose set up Wyatt on a table, climbed to the top of the ambulance and jumped off with an elbow drop to crash through Wyatt and the table. After recovering from it, Ambrose picked up Wyatt, but Wyatt quickly responded with Sister Abigail near the back door of the ambulance. Wyatt picked up Ambrose and shoved him into the back of the ambulance. Dean kicked him so Wyatt grabbed him for yet another Sister Abigail on the floor, then picked up a limp Dean Ambrose to close inside the Ambulance. 

The Miz, Damien Mizdow and Alicia Fox defeated The Usos and Naomi via pinfall. The finish involved Jimmy hesitating near the apron thinking he might hit Mizdow but his wife Naomi was there instead. Miz took advantage for a rollup pinfall.

Seth Rollins & Kane defeated Ryback via pinfall in a handicap match. Ryback hit Shell Shocked on Kane late, but Rollins hit the Curb Stomp on him during the pinfall. After another Curb Stomp, Rollins got the pinfall win.

Big E fought Adam Rose to a no-contest. During the match, Big E was in control until two men dressed in white masks showed up to attack. They unmasked revealing themselves to be Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. Post-match, they danced and slapped hands with Rose. Cole said they were dressed up as Rosebuds.

The Authority had John Cena come out for John Cena Appreciation Night. Steph and HHH praised Cena for helping them return to WWE again. Triple H said he originally told Shawn Michaels that Cena sucked to work with, but now he is seeing a new side of him. he said maybe Cena is looking past all that “hustle, loyalty and respect” crap. He said “I just want you to know from the bottom of my heart, I appreciate you.” 

They called out some others who appreciate Cena - the members of his Survivor Series team, Ryback, Erick Rowan and Dolph Ziggler. The Authority brought up consequences and suspending the four guys who opposed them with Ziggler to get the biggest suspension for putting the final nail in the coffin with Sting’s help. HHH and Steph walked up to the stage and said instead of suspending them “You’re all fired!” She said they could thank John Cena for helping them lose their jobs. Hunter said “Ladies and gentlemen let’s hear it for John Cena” as confetti and balloons fell from the rafters as some celebratory music played. HHH and Steph kissed on stage with Cena looking glum just like the three guys in the ring as Raw ended.

Raw Results 12/29/14

Raw results from Washington, DC:

Christian and Edge were introduced as hosts for the latest episode of Raw, the last of 2014. They joked around about which in-ring show would take place tonight and settled on the first-ever “Cutting Edge Peep Show” with Seth Rollins as guest. They booked Rusev vs. Ziggler in a champion vs. champion match. Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman came out to interrupt. Heyman dared either to make a stupid move with Brock Lesnar in the ring as he could make either guy into a paraplegic. He said they have someone bigger to conquer, John Cena. Cena’s music hit and he came to the ring to confront them. He eventually grabbed Heyman with Lesnar rushing at him. Cena grabbed Lesnar for an AA, but Lesnar slid off and out of the ring with Heyman, holding up his title belt to taunt Cena.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Rusev via disqualification. In the match, Ziggler was able to hit a superkick on Ziggler for the near fall. Rusev made a comeback and started to stomp away on Ziggler in the corner. The ref warned him to back off, but Rusev ignored it and the ref called for the bell. Post-match, Rusev put on The Accolade, but Ryback’s music hit and he came to the ring. Ryback hit the Meathook Clothesline on Rusev to send him out of the ring.

Ryback cut an in ring promo talking about his dreams of always wanting to be a pro wrestler. He talked about having two surgeries on his left knee and having scars to show for it. He said he was told he wouldn’t wrestle again, but now he’s back. Ryback said his match with Rusev isn’t USA vs. Russia but two big guys kicking each other’s asses. 

Nikki Bella defeated Natalya via pinfall in a non-title match. Natalya was distracted when Brie was scolding Tyson Kidd at ringside. That allowed Nikki to get control and hit the Rack Attack on Nattie for the win.

Backstage, Naomi came in to talk to Miz who was with Mizdow. She gave Miz a hug. Mizdow walked off and Naomi thanked Miz for helping her get in touch with the producer who wouldn’t talk to her until she had him as a connection. She told Miz she appreciated all he did and how much crap he took from Jimmy for trying to help her. She wished Miz luck in his tag match tonight and walked off, leaving Miz confused.

The Usos defeated The Miz & Damien Mizdow via pinfall to win the WWE Tag Team titles. Late in the match, Miz went for the Skullcrushing Finale but Jey elbowed him to escape and tagged in Jimmy. Jimmy hit the superkick on Miz followed by a double superkick and then the top rope splash for the pinfall. Post-match, Naomi came in the ring to celebrate with The Usos. Jerry Lawler got in the ring to ask how it feels to end the year as champions. They said they were going to have BBQ and champagne, and mentioned JR’s barbecue. Lawler joked asking if they would invite Johnny Manziel.

Bad News Barrett defeated Cesaro via pinfall. Cesar cut an in-ring promo saying he was told he doesn’t connect with the fans. He said he doesn’t care about all that or fancy entrances or pageantry. He issued an open challenge to the WWE locker room. Barrett came out saying “It’s me, it’s me, it’s BNB.” In the match, Cesaro was able to get his Cesaro swing at one point. Barrett was able to get to the ropes and then hit Cesaro. he followed with the Bull Hammer elbow for the win.

They had a backstage promo with Cena talking to Edge and Christian. They talked about their various wins over each other. Christian made a remark asking if he remembered the time Edge slapped Cena’s dad, then Christian left. Cena told Edge thank you for all he’s done for him and then said he’s one of the few people in the business that is a decent human being.

Roman Reigns defeated Seth Rollins via disqualification. The Big Show was on guest commentary. In the late part of the match, Reigns eventually hit a Superman punch and then prepared for the spear from the corner. However, Show attacked Reigns to cause the DQ. He eventually took Reigns to the outside and tossed him over the broadcast team’s table, then dumped the table on top of Reigns. Cole said someone should get out there to help Reigns because it looked serious.

Daniel Bryan came to the ring for what was billed as a “career-defining moment,” with the announcers seeming worried he might retire. In the ring, Bryan spoke about winning the title at WrestleMania 30 as a “B-plus player” in WWE. He talked about the injury he suffered and not knowing if he’d be able to wrestle again. He also mentioned consulting with Edge about career-ending injuries. He said he requested to have a special segment so he could come out and make an announcement in front of all the fans, since that is what has kept him going. He asked “Am I here to retire?” The fans yelled “No!” and Bryan responded with “No.” He said “I am ready to fight. I am ready to repeat, and I will be in the 2015 Royal Rumble. Yes!”

Backstage, Miz and Mizdow demanded a rematch from Edge. Edge held up a muppet puppet and said it’s his stunt double. He said they could have a match, but not for the titles or against the Usos. He said it would be next.

After commercial break, The Ascension, Konnor and Viktor came to the ring for the match against Miz and Mizdow.

The Ascension defeated The Miz and Mizdow via pinfall. Ascension won in just over a minute hitting the Fall of Man finisher for the pinfall win.

The Cutting Edge Peep Show with guest Seth Rollins. Edge and Christian held the first-ever Cutting Edge Peep Show in the ring. Seth Rollins came to the ring with J&J Security carrying champagne. He said he was there to toast his great year. He talked up Edge and Christian as his heroes and said he always looked up to them. He said he was always seen as a bad guy, but doesn’t want that anymore. He said Big Show is his good friend, and then asked for John Cena to come out. Show came to the ring, but Cena didn’t show up. Rollins eventually took matters into his own hands and hit Christian with the MITB briefcase. Show grabbed Edge around the neck and forced him down on top of the briefcase. Rollins told Cena to get down there and save Edge from being paralyzed.

Cena eventually showed up and was about to rush into the ring but Rollins warned him not to do it. He said Cena knows what he wants and if Cena doesn’t give it to him, he’ll break Edge’s neck. Rollins told Cena to bring back The Authority or risk Edge’s future as a father and husband. Cena eventually caved in after some thought and said OK. Cena said he’d bring back The Authority. Rollins told Cena he should know better and said he would kill Edge anyway. Rollins prepared for the Curb Stomp but Cena rushed in and tackled him down. Edge escaped but Show hit a knockout punch on Cena, then Rollins hit the Curb Stomp. They went up to the stage where Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman came out. Triple H and Stephanie walked out too and had champagne. Raw ended with them all smiles on the stage to close out the last show of the year.

Raw Results 12/22/14

Raw results from Minneapolis, MN:

Hulk Hogan came out into the Target Center to start off the show dressed as Santa Claus aka “Ho Ho Hogan.” He said he’s there tonight to give presents to superstars and fans. John Cena’s music hits and he came out joking he wanted a “Frozen” sing-along playset for Christmas. Footage was shown of Lesnar attacking him in the cage last week, allowing Rollins to win the match. Cena asks for a rematch against Rollins tonight. Rollins came out with J&J security to talk himself up. He reminded everyone he won’t step until The Authority is back. He eventually agreed to the match.

John Cena defeated Seth Rollins via pinfall. Late in the match, Rollins went for a Curb Stomp, but Cena avoided it and locked on the STF. Rollins got to the ropes with Cena pulling him back to the middle of the ring. J&J security got involved but Cena delivered the AA on each of them. Rollins was hit by an AA and Cena pinned him for the win.

They showed a wreath with Christmas music playing backstage. Kane walked in and scowled then said "Bah humbug!"

Fandango defeated Jack Swagger via pinfall. Late in the match, Fandango gained control after hitting a few kicks and then hitting the top rope leg drop for the win.

Tom Phillips interviewed IC title holder Dolph Ziggler backstage about tonight’s match. Ziggler talked up the ladder match from TLC and said Harper is a nightmare come to life. Dolph said he’s a four-time IC champ though and will give the fans the present of keeping the IC title.

R-Truth defeated Adam Rose via pinfall. The two had a brief dance-off in the ring then Rose tried to kick Truth. Truth rolled up Rose for the pinfall win. Post-match, Rose was upset and the Bunny went to check on him. Rose hit a spinebuster on the Bunny then began to stomp on him as the crowd booed. He continued to beat up the Bunny, ripped off one of its ears and tossing it into the crowd barrier.

They showed pre-taped video promos from Big Show and Roman Reigns to hype up their match.

Roman Reigns defeated Big Show due to countout. Show controlled most of it early on. Reigns eventually made a comeback and hit the Superman punch outside the ring, causing Show to fall over the broadcast table. That led to the contout win for Reigns which angered the giant afterwards.

Dean Ambrose was interviewed by Renee Young backstage. He talked about his match against Wyatt and said he he’s prepared all year for this Miracle on 34th Street Fight and been a good boy. He said he went to the Mall of America looking for Santa and found his security guard. He said Wyatt is going to get a beating for Christmas.

Natalya defeated Brie Bella via pinfall. Natalya went for a Sharpshooter which Brie tried to counter into an inside cradle. Natalya rolled over for the win. Natalya hit Nikki off the side apron post-match and then held up the divas title.

Los Matadores & El Reino defeated Goldust & Stardust via pinfall. Torito was wearing antlers like a reindeer. He hit the moonsault off the second rope on Goldust to get the win.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Luke Harper via pinfall to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Late into the match, Harper had control. Ziggler came back and hit a superkick, but Harper responded right back with a spinning clothesline and nearly got the win. Ziggler hit a few super kicks and then the Zig Zag to get the win. Lawler interviewed Ziggler post-match and he said he’ll be damned if anyone takes the title from him after he fought to earn it.

They had Piper’s Pit featuring Lana and Rusev. Lana talked about the fallacy of Christmas and how it’s about a bloated old man (Santa) and spoiling children. Rusev got into Piper’s face asking if he thinks he can crush Ryback. He kept at it and said “no need to be communist scrooges,” then said he had a present for them. Out came Ryback with a bow on. He and Rusev brawled at the ringside area. Ryback got control and went for a Meathook clothesline but Rusev got away. A “Feed Me More” chant was led by Ryback and Piper.

Emma, Naomi & Alicia Fox defeated Paige, Cameron and Summer Rae in a Santa’s Little Helper match. Alicia scored the winning pinfall on Summer Rae. 

The Miz defeated Jey Uso via pinfall. Jey had a rollup pinfall, but Miz rolled through and held the tights to secure his win.

Bray Wyatt defeated Dean Ambrose via pinfall in the Miracle on 34th Street fight. Ambrose went up a ladder and brought a chair with him. Wyatt just recovered and threw a chair at Ambrose to make him fall off the ladder. Wyatt ran Ambrose face-first into a kendo stick in the corner, then scored the winning pin. Post-match, Ambrose recovered and got a fire extinguisher to spray in Wyatt’s face. He put him on a table at ringside and then hit an elbow drop on Wyatt through the table to close out Raw.

CM Punk Joins UFC & Will Fight in 2015

Former WWE World Champion CM Punk was officially signed on by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) this past week. Punk, real name, Phil Brooks, was on hand at the recent UFC 181 pay-per-view event in Las Vegas to answer questions about how the deal was done, and his plans for the sport. The news comes not long after an interview Punk did with his friend Colt Cabana about topics related to his dismissal or leaving from WWE.

Among the questions asked were who Punk plans to train with, what his goals are for the sport, and which weight class he plans to fight in for UFC. Punk also got questions mentioning the comparisons to Brock Lesnar, who is a former UFC champion and the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion. When asked when he plans to fight, it appears Punk will fight in 2015, but his answers maintained when he is ready from training and weight cuts.

The last Punk was seen in WWE was back in January at the Royal Rumble 2014 edition. Punk was among the final four remaining competitors, eliminated by Kane. Punk subsequently didn't show up on Raw the next night and apparently had quit WWE. Months later, the story emerged that he was fired on his wedding day when he married current diva, AJ Lee.

Will Punk be a successful mixed martial arts fighter in UFC? Can he achieve similar success to Brock Lesnar in the sport?

Raw Results 01/27/14

Raw results from Cleveland, OH:

The opening segment had Stephanie McMahon and Triple H praising how great the Royal Rumble was including Orton, Brock Lesnar and Batista all winning.  Daniel Bryan came out to interrupt saying he should've been in the Royal Rumble.  Steph and HHH passed it off as not wanting to jeopardize his safety with two matches the same night.  Bryan then talked about them giving the people what they want.  He said he wants in the Elimination Chamber.  He told Stephanie to step aside and went nose-to-nose with HHH asking him to make it happen.  HHH said it sounded good but it's not just the two of them in the ring.  The Shield's music hit and they came to the ring area with HHH and Steph exiting.  Bryan quickly grabbed a steel chair, but Reigns was able to knock him down wit ha shot to the head.  Rollins and Ambrose pitched in, but Sheamus soon rushed out to help Bryan.  That wasn't enough, so Cena came out next to fully even the odds, clearing Shield from the ring.

Later on, Cole and crew recapped the earlier incident and said there's now a six-man tag match for later on in Raw.  The winning team will be part of the Elimination Chamber match at next month's PPV.

The Real Americans defeated Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara via pinfall.  During the match, Zeb Colter got in Jack Swagger's face and slapped him to get him fired up.  Later, Swagger started to dominate Sin Cara.  The close came as Cesaro caught Cara later on with a huge uppercut and then hit the Neutralizer to finish things off.  Post-match, Colter shook hands with Swagger and Cesaro to commend their efforts.

Bad News Barrett came out in his elevated podium and mocked The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler Battle of Cleveland match, saying if it was the Battle for Cleveland, there'd be two losers, because Cleveland is inhabited by losers.

R-Truth defeated Fandango via pinfall.  Xavier Woods was on guest commentary.  Emma from NXT was shown in the crowd holding a sign.  At one point, Fandango escaped the ring to recover with Truth chasing him.  Summer Rae distracted Truth and then Fandango blasted him with a clothesline.  Later, Truth managed to hit his finisher to get the pin, then Woods got in the ring to celebrate with him.

GM Brad Maddox was in the ring and introduced the champ Randy Orton, who put over his own win over Cena at the Rumble.  He said some fans aren't happy with it, but he doesn't give a damn, because all that matters is he won. Orton said he knows he'll have to put his title on the line again at the PPV in Feb, then asked Maddox if that was his decision or The Authority.  2014 Royal Rumble winner Batista came to the ring to interrupt, saying "On April 6, I am walking out of WrestleMania as WWE World Heavyweight Champion and nothing is going to change that."

Next to join the mix were Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar.  Heyman said he and his client are getting restless so The Authority has two options: make history with Orton vs. Lesnar for the title on the spot, or Lesnar vs. Batista.  He said he likes both options but it's up to the fans what they want to see.  He told Maddox they want a decision from The Authority tonight, or else.

Dolph Ziggler defeated The Miz via pinfall.  During the match, Miz managed to put a Figure Four on Ziggler, but he got to the ropes to break it.  Moments later, Ziggler was able to put Miz away with the Zig Zag for the pinfall win.

The Uso Brothers defeated Curtis Axel and Ryback via pinfall.  During the match they discussed how Axel had a photo he took with Steelers' QB Ben Roethlisberger last night saying how much they look alike.  Ryback lost the match when The Usos connected on several big moves on him including the top rope splash.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Kofi Kingston via pinfall.  During the match, they talked about how Del Rio still hates Batista and said he won't even make it to WrestleMania.  In the late stages of the match, Kofi hit SOS but Del Rio reached the ropes.  Del Rio had several near falls including one after a Backstabber.  The finale saw Del Rio hit a Superkick for the win.

The New Age Outlaws and Rhodes Brothers fought to a No contest for the WWE Tag Team titles.  Late in the match, Road Dogg had a visible cut on his forehead after a move from Goldust.  Cody managed hit a double dropkick on the Outlaws later on.  Later still, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman walked to ringside.  Lesnar got in the ring with the Rhodes and hit F5's on them both as the Outlaws took off backstage. Post-match, Heyman got on the mic to say The Authority chose option #3 meaning Brock Lesnar would fight no one.  He said they'll show what happens when Brock doesn't get what he wants.  Lesnar grabbed a steel chair and bashed both the Rhodes with it before leaving to his music with Heyman.

The Bella Twins, Cameron, and Naomi beat Aksana, A.J. Lee, Tamina, and Alicia Fox via pinfall.  Late in the match, there was a big triple suplex move.  The finish came when Naomi hit the Rearview on A.J. to get the pin.  Post-match, The Bellas and Funkadactyls danced to celebrate.

Jerry Lawler stood up to announce the next WWE Hall of Fame inductee for 2014.  A video played to talk about Jake "The Snake" Roberts who will now be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and Sheamus defeated The Shield by DQ.  The match lasted nearly 25 minutes total.  Late in the match, Cena put the STF on Reigns, who managed to power out of the move.  Suddenly, the Wyatt's sound effects hit and the lights went out.  When the lights were back, they were stomping away on Cena.  Bryan and Sheamus helped Cena out, and eventually the faces cleared the ring of them.  The Shield had left the ring, and Justin Roberts announced it was a DQ, giving the faces the win.  With the win, Cena, Sheamus and Bryan claimed three spots in the Elimination Chamber match.  The Shield looked upset at ringside as Raw went off the air.

2014 Royal Rumble Results & Winners Coverage

Welcome to 2014 Royal Rumble results and winners coverage!  The latest event arrived from Pittsburgh, PA's Consol Energy Center on Sunday, January 26th and started out with a free live online "Kick Off Show" featuring a tag team title match.  The main pay-per-view featured John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the unified championships, Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show, Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt and of course, the 30-man Royal Rumble match.

Royal Rumble Kick Off Show Results:

The show featured a panel of Josh Matthews, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair discussing the matches and who they believed would win each.  They debated Daniel Bryan vs. Bray Wyatt before sending things to ringside with Cole, JBL and Lawler for the free live online tag team title match.

The New Age Outlaws defeated The Rhodes Brothers via pinfall to win the tag team titles. The match kicked off with about 15 minutes until the Royal Rumble PPV.  At one point, Cody delivered a double kick off the corner to both New Age Outlaws, then knocked Billy out of the ring.  Cody hit Cross Rhodes on Road Dogg and pinned him, but Billy managed to get back in the ring to break it up.  Goldust got involved to take out Billy and fight him on the outside, but Billy got control and knocked down Goldust outside.  Back up on the apron, Billy made a blind tag slapping Road Dogg's back.  Cody hit a move on Road Dogg but was hunched over a bit as Gunn came in and hit a Fameasser on Cody for the win.

2014 Royal Rumble PPV Match Results:

Cole, JBL and Lawler welcomed fans in before getting to the first match. Bryan arrived out first to huge support from the crowd.  Next up, the video glitch and then The Wyatt Family made an entrance with Bray sitting in his rocking chair for a while on the ramp before blowing out the lamp and going to the ring to fight.

Bray Wyatt defeated Daniel Bryan via pinfall. At one point, Bryan got knocked to the outside where Harper and Rowan got involved.  The ref promptly ordered them to go backstage drawing crowd approval.  Wyatt hugged them and said he could fight the battle on his own.  They headed backstage and as Bray turned to the ring, Bryan leapt off the corner to take him out.  Later on, the two fought on the outside with Bryan able to run Bray into the steel steps.  Back in the ring, Bryan took out frustration on the hurt leg and kept delivering kicks to "Yes" responses from the crowd. Later, Bray turned the tide by taking it to Bryan on the apron and yanking his arm down against the side apron to leave Bryan on the outside floor.  At one point, Daniel Bryan did a suicide dive outside the ring at Bray who caught him in his arms and hit Sister Abigail smashing Bryan's head int othe crowd barrier to leave him knocked out.  Bray brought a limp Bryan back in the ring to hit another Sister Abigail for the win.  Post-match, Harper and Rowan joined Bray to celebrate the win.

Renee Young interviewed Paul Heyman backstage about the Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show match for tonight. Heyman talked about how the entire WWE Universe will be subjugated to "Brock the Destroyer" after tonight's match.

Cole and crew sent it back up to the panel with each man introduced: Ric Flair, HBK and Hacksaw along with Josh Matthews.  They made their picks for Brock vs. Big Show.  Flair liked Brock, Hacksaw took Big Show, while HBK also picked Brock.

Brock Lesnar defeated The Big Show via pinfall.  Show was introduced first and stayed in the ring throug highlights of his attacks on Lesnar the past few weeks on Raw.  Next out was Lesnar with Heyman.  Brock immediately attacked Show in the ring without the bell ringing or the match starting.  Brock grabbed a steel chair and started smashing it down on Big Show's back multiple times.  The commentators talked about how Lesnar clearly doesn't want to fight Big Show.  Paul Heyman was shown laughing on the outside.  The ref yelled at Brock to knock it off as Show rolled outside the ring to recover with the match still not started.  Finally, the ref managed to yank the chair away from Brock and get out of the ring.  The ref slid back in and prepared to start the match.  As he ordered the bell to ring, Heyman handed a second steel chair to Lesnar.  The bell rang, and Show walked over to deliver a KO punch to level Lesnar.  The two ended up fighting on the outside with both guys shaken up.  The two got back in the ring and fought for a bit, but Brock managed to hoist up Big Show for the F5 and delivered it for the huge win. Lesnar still seemed out of it post-match, but managed to leave the ring and got another steel chair in hand.

Post-match, Lesnar repeatedly attacked Show with the chair and continued as Show fell to the outside floor to further damage him with Heyman watching from nearby.  Brock finally tossed the chair into the ring, then stopped to survey the damage.  Heyman walked up on the apron and down the stairs to lead Brock backstage.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were shown in a dark room on a handheld video camera talking about the dominance of The Shield and how they'll have 27 enemies in the ring tonight for the Royal Rumble.  Ambrose said all 27 of them will be tossed over the top rope.  Reigns and Rollins chimed in saying only one of them will go on to headline WrestleMania.  Reigns told his partners he was confident he's got the winning number tonight.  Ambrose asked what number he's got, but Reigns wouldn't tell him.  They got in a bit of an argument, with Rollins interrupting to bring them back on the same page saying the only number to worry about is "3" for The Shield.

Renee Young interviewed Randy Orton about the championship match tonight against Cena.  Orton said after tonight when he beats Cena again, John Cena will go to the back of the line.  Renee brought up that there's quite a line forming including Brock Lesnar and Batista, as well as the Royal Rumble winner and Bray Wyatt who just defeated Daniel Bryan.  Orton said when you're on top of the mountain people want a shot, but nobody will touch him.  He said Brock Lesnar and Batista are good but not great like him.  He called Bray Wyatt a "Duck Dynasty" reject.  Orton said he'll make sure tonight that everyone knows that John Cena is not the one either.

They fed to video highlights for a package regarding the history between John Cena and Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with the setup for tonight's championship match.

Randy Orton defeated John Cena via pinfall to retain the WWE World Heavyweight title. The champion was introduced first and made it to the ring then waited out cheers and boos before John Cena's music finally hit to bring out Cena.  The two fought it out with Orton getting an early advantage, and the crowd at Consol Energy chanting loud for "Daniel Bryan" which Cole pointed out.  Cole said a lot of the WWE Universe believes Bryan is still uncrowned champion after a questionable loss to Orton. Orton maintained control on the outside and brought Cena back in.  Cena nearly completed an AA, but Orton escaped, kicked Cena in the gut and hit a DDT for a near fall.  Later, Orton got Cena up on the corner and attempted a belly-to-belly, but Cena headbutted him down to the mat.  Cena shook off the damage and jumped off the corner for a leg drop to take down Orton for a near fall.  Cena tried for AA again, but Orton got out again, hit a backbreaker and had another near fall.

Moments later, Orton was knocked to the outside and as Cena tried to go at him through the ropes, Orton grabbed him to DDT him off the apron to the outer floor.  With Cena back in the ring on the mat, Orton revved up for an RKO.  He went for it, but Cena ducked and took out Orton's leg then slapped on STF.  Orton managed to crawl over to the ropes to break it though.  Orton again regained control with a move to hit Cena.  However, as Orton got back in the ring, Cena put Orton flat on his back and hit a Five Knuckle Shuffle, then set up for AA.  Cena went for it but was close to the ropes.  Orton grabbed the ropes and Cena tried to yank him away, but it caused Orton to accidentally kick the ref and knock him out.  Cena got another STF on Orton and Orton tapped but the ref was unable to call the match.  Orton got one of his championship belts and used it to knock Cena to the mat as the ref was finally coming to.  The ref moved over and made a pinfall cover, but Cena got his arm up to get out.  Orton looked at the crowd as they were chanting "This is awful", but Cena sprung up and grabbed him, hit the AA and made a cover, with Orton kicked out of it.

A "We Want Divas" chant started up at one point. Moments later, Orton hit another RKO and made a cover, but once again, Cena kicked out.  The match continued, with Cena trying to get some offense, but Orton dropped him to the mat and put on an STF with Cena looking to be in pain.  Cena was able to escape and put the move on Orton, who also escaped moments later.  To further mock Cena, Orton put up John in the AA and hit it for a near fall.  Later on, Cena RKO'd Orton for a near fall.  The match kept on, with Cena trying for the AA from the corner, only to hit a Hurricanrana instead.  Cena got another STF on Orton but all of a sudden the video glitch started up from the Wyatt Family and the lights cut out.  Suddenly, the lights came back on and the Wyatts were up on the aprons surrounding the ring.  Cena rushed over and punched down Bray, then went after Harper.  As he turned back to Orton, Randy hit the RKO to drop Cena and get the winning pinfall.

Post-match, Orton went over, grabbed his championships and exited through the crowd.  The Wyatt Family met outside the ring, then got in to attack Cena, hitting a barrage of moves including a splash in the corner and a huge clothesline.  Bray Wyatt had Rowan and Harper hold up Cena, then went over, grabbed him for Sister Abigail to leave Cena out on the mat.  The crowd approvingly chanted "Yes!"

Renee Young interview the new tag team champions The New Age Outlaws.  Road Dogg did their typical in-ring promo to show Renee how to introduce them better.  Renee fed to a replay of how they won the belts earlier on tonight.  Road Dogg talked about it being 14 years between title reigns, and it's a new record.

They had various pre-Rumble interviews from superstars saying how they'd win it this year.

Royal Rumble Match:

CM Punk was the #1 entrant as already announced.  Coming in second was Seth Rollins of The Shield who battled Punk for a while before another countdown brought in #3 Damien Sandow.  The two heels teamed up to beat on Punk.  Cody Rhodes came in fourth, and moments later, Punk eliminated Sandow.  Rhodes and Punk started to work on Rollins as the countdown started and brought in #5, Kane.  Kane came in and punched down Rhodes then started on Punk in the corner.  Kane hit the sidewalk slam and several other moves before setting up for a chokeslam.  Punk escaped the chokeslam and eliminated Kane second.  Alexander Rusev from NXT came in at #6.  Rusev beat up on everyone for a bit, before Jack Swagger's music hit and he came down to hit multiple Swagger bombs on Rollins and Rhodes.  Rusev and Swagger went at each other, with Rusev trying to pick up Swagger, but Rollins clipped Rusev's leg from behind and 3 guys ganged up on him.  Next up was #8, Kofi Kingston.

Kofi came in and jumped up to take down Punk then nearly put him over the top rope.  He turned his focus to Rusev, but Seth Rollins hit a double axe handle on Kofi to stop that.  Kofi and Rhodes teamed up on Rusev.  Next up, #9 arrived to the ring with Jimmy Uso rushing in to take down Rollins and Rusev before attacking Kofi and Rhodes a bit.  Goldust came down at the #10 spot with Cole noting that he eliminated Rhodes from the past two Rumbles. Multiple guys teamed up to toss Rusev out of the ring next.  Punk managed to send Kofi off the apron, but he flew into Rusev's arms.  Rusev carried Kofi over to the crowd barrier and put him on it before attacking him there.  Kofi stayed on it after Rusev left, then stood up and was able to run and jump off the barrier to the apron, staying in the match.

Dean Ambrose entered at #11. Dolph Ziggler was #12, with nobody eliminated since Rusev.  R-Truth came down for #13 but got beat up by Ambrose and Rollins quick. Ambrose soon eliminated Truth from the match, then Jimmy Uso next.  Swagger tried to use his foot to drive Kofi off the apron, only to have Kofi remove the boot and smash him in the head wit hit.  Kevin Nash surprised everyone with the #14 entry causing the crowd to erupt.  He quickly rushed over and knocked Swagger out of the match, then went after the 2 Shield members.  Roman Reigns came in at the #15 spot to complete all three Shield members entering.

Reigns fought off Kevin Nash then tossed Kofi out of the ring to the floor.  Nash got dumped over the top by Reigns and managed to hold the top rope, but Nash couldn't hold on and was eliminated.  Coming in at #16 was Great Khali, but he was eliminated by Reigns moments later. Goldust eliminated Cody, then Reigns tossed out Goldust himself.  That left all 3 of Shield and CM Punk.  Next up, was the return of Sheamus at #17 who rushed in to make a big attack on The Shield, beating up all 3 guys and isolating them in different corners.  At #18, The Miz rushed down to join the match along with all 3 of Shield, Sheamus and Punk.  Fandango was the #19 entrant, drawing the crowd to hum/sing his theme music a bit.  El Torio came in at #20 with Los Matadores introducing him.  He quickly took out two members of The Shield.  Fandango tried to press Torito overhead but ended up getting eliminated by the mini mascot.  Moments later, Reigns picked up Torito and threw him out at Fandango to eliminate him.

The #20 entry was Antonio Cesaro.  Luke Harper came in at #21.  Jey Uso was #22 for the match, with the commentators noting his partner was already eliminated earlier.  Still remaining in the match, all three of The Shield, CM Punk, Sheamus and Antonio Cesaro.  The #23 entrant surprised the crowd with JBL making his debut in the match.  He left the commentary spot still wearing a suit and tie to get involved.  He took off his coat and asked Cole to take it for him. As JBL handed the coat to Cole, Roman Reigns rushed over and dumped him out to eliminate JBL fast.  Erick Rowan came in at #24.  The Miz was soon eliminated by Harper from the match.  Ryback came in as the #26 entry and tried to push out Rollins and Sheamus together.  Former Rumble winner, Alberto Del Rio, came down for #27.

At this point, all 3 members of The Shield were in it, as well as all 3 members of The Shield.  CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio, Antonio Cesaro, Sheamus and Ryback also remained.  The #28 entry was The Animal Batista finally making his return to the match.  Cole noted Batista is the 2005 Rumble winner and a six time world champion.  He immediately started to beat up The Shield and then The Wyatts, eliminating Erick Rowan first, then going at Ryback.  Ryback prepared for the Meat Hook clothesline and charged at Batista in the corner, but got dumped out to become the next elimination.  Alberto Del Rio rushed over to clip Batista in the leg.  Batista was able to pick up Del Rio and dump him out moments later.

Next came the #29 entry, Big E Langston who rushed into the ring and started to hit multiple backbreakers on Sheamus.  He tried to dump out Sheamus as the crowd chanted for "Daniel Bryan" to be #30.  However, the final entrant wasn't Bryan, but Rey Mysterio which draw noticeable boos from the crowd.  Soon after his entry, Sheamus and Big E fought it out near the apron.  Sheamus managed to clothesline Big E off the apron to eliminate him next.  The final remaining competitors were Harper, all 3 of the Shield, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Antonio Cesaro and Batista.  Rollins hit a huge kick on Mysterio to eliminate him from contention.  Cole pointed out that Rollins and Punk have been in the match since the start for 47 minutes now.

Roman Reigns was able to eliminate Harper next, with Dean Ambrose trying to push out his Reigns in a sneak attack.  Reigns was able to stay alive though.  Soon after that, Antonio Cesaro tried to dump out two members of The Shield, but instead Reigns pushed out all three guys including his teammates.  All the remaining guys did their finishing moves on each other.  Kane came out of nowhere and grabbed Punk from the side apron and yanked him out of the match to eliminate him late, leaving Sheamus, Roman Reigns and Batista.  Meanwhile, Kane hit a chokeslam to slam Punk through the Spanish announcers table.

It was down to a final three of Roman Reigns, Sheamus and Batista in the ring.  The crowd booed as Daniel Bryan wasn't included.  Batista quickly gained control, taking it to both opponents.  The crowd chanted out "No" to support Bryan.  Moments later, Sheamus hit the Celtic Curse on Batista to slam him down, before pointing to the WrestleMania 30 sign in the rafters.  He set up for a Brogue Kick on Batista, who started to slowly get up.  Batista ducked the kick, with Sheamus stopping himself short of the ropes.  Moments later, Batista dumped Sheamus over the top, but Sheamus held on then punched Batista away.  Roman Reigns rushed over and rammed Sheamus off the apron.  Batista tried to quickly dump Reigns out, but he managed to hang on and roll in under the bottom rope.

It came down to The Animal Batista versus Roman Reigns.  The crowd chanted "Roman Reigns" as Batista stood up.  Reigns charged at him, but Batista speared him down drawing plenty of boos from the crowd.  As Baitsta turned around, Reigns hit a huge spear on Batista to take him down.  He picked up Batista and tried to run him over to toss him out, but instead The Animal reversed it and tossed Reigns over instead.  Batista is the 2014 Royal Rumble winner and will go on to headline WrestleMania 30 with a title shot.  Reigns recovered on the outside post-match.  Cole pointed out that Roman Reigns set a new Royal Rumble record with the most eliminations ever.  However, The Animal won his second-ever Royal Rumble match.  The replay was shown with many of Reigns' eliminations. Batista's music played on as he posed on the corner of the ring and pointed at the WM30 sign with fireworks going off.

Batista won the Royal Rumble match after making the final elimination - Roman Reigns.  Batista will now go on to headline WrestleMania 30 with a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

SmackDown Results 01/24/14

SmackDown results from Grand Rapids, MI:

Big Show & Rey Mysterio defeated The Real Americans via pinfall.  Rey Mysterio had been isolated and worn down by the heels for a bit, but managed a double DDT on them both and gave a hot tag to Show.  Show tossed both Real Americans around, hitting a double hip toss on both guys.  He tagged in Rey again who hit 619 on Cesaro, followed by a Show KO punch.  Rey hit the big splash and then pinned Cesaro for the win. Post-match, Paul Heyman came out to cut a promo. Heyman suggested that Show should enjoy every second of this win, because he won't be winning against Brock on Sunday.  He said that beating Show won't be enough; Brock will subjugate and destroy him Sunday, followed by the rest of the WWE Universe.

The Miz defeated Brodus Clay via pinfall. During the match, Bad News Barrett was commentating on a mic over the speakers from up in his cherry picker box near the stage.  He called the match awful and insulted both superstars, eventually distracting Clay.  That allowed Miz to hit a big DDT and get the pinfall win.  Post-match, Miz tried to push over Barrett's cherry picker, while BNB kept insulting and taunting.

AJ Lee defeated Cameron in a non-title match via pinfall. The match lasted about a minute-and-a-half.  Cameron hit a facebuster and then a standing split during the match for a near fall.  She had to hit a dropkick on Tamina to make sure she didn't interfere from the outside.  Moments later, AJ hit the shining wizard and grabbed the pinfall.  Post-match, the Funkadactyls, AJ and Cameron brawled.  Naomi got control in the ring and hit her butt bump on AJ in the ring, then for some reason tried to make a pinfall cover.

The Shield cut a promo backstage about the Royal Rumble, with Ambrose said 27 other superstars will enter besides Shield and try to win.  He said dreams can come true but not this year, because these dogs are hungry.  Rollins said the Rumble match has never had a force like The Shield, then Reigns finished by saying he'll win and go on to headline WrestleMania.

Ryback and Curtis Axel defeated Los Matadores via pinfall.  Late in this one, Fernado was able to knock down Axel to tag in Diego.  Diego hit the wrist clutch DDT and went for a pinfall cover with Ryback breaking things up.  Ryback distracted Diego, allowing Axel to get a surprise rollup pin from behind.  El Torito was upset with the finish and splashed Ryback on the outside post-match.

CM Punk came out to deliver a promo regarding The Authority and the Royal Rumble match.  He talked about being #1 in the match, but not being there to complain, saying when you're "best in the world" you go out and get the job done.  Kane came out to interrupt and wish Punk good luck on Sunday, saying the #1 spot has a 0.0000187% chance of winning the Rumble. Kane remarked that being "Best in the World" might tip things more in his favor. Punk cracked that Kane was once the "Devil's Favorite Demon" and is now just "The Authority's Favorite Statistician."  Punk said Kane turned in his manhood with his mask, so odds don't matter because he's been best since day one.

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan defeated The Prime Time Players via pinfall.  The match lasted approximately one minute, with Harper and Rowan isolating Young in their corner.  Harper hit a huge boot kick to knick Titus from the apron, then followed up with a huge clothesline on Young to get the win.  Post-match, Bray Wyatt got in the ring, grabbed O'Neil and kissed him on the forehead before hitting Sister Abigail.  He got on the mic, saying he's going to defeat Daniel Bryan, then hurt him and change the world.  He said after Sunday they'll no longer deny him.  He started to say "Follow the..." but Daniel Bryan interrupted.  He told Bray to listen to the people, who started up a "Yes" chant.  Bryan said he fears not faint, he fears no reapers or burning with the saints.  He told Bray Sunday he won't be trapped in his prison of madness, but Bray will be trapped in his prison.  He told Bray he'll find out who the real monster is as the crowd chants "YES!" for him.

Kofi Kingston defeated Fandango via pinfall.  Pre-match, Kofi was shown in a PIP video box and talked up how he'll do whatever it takes to win the Rumble. Late in this match, Fandango hit a pele-style kick on Kofi to take him down.  He went up top for a move, but Kofi knocked him down.  Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise to get the win.  Summer Rae was shocked by the end result of the match.

The team of Big E Langston, Goldust, Cody Rhodes & The Uso Brothers fought New Age Outlaws and The Shield to a no contest in a 10-man tag team match.  Late in the match, Cody hot-tagged Goldust and Road Dogg then tagged in.  Goldust started to clean house.  Goldust got ready to hit a finish, but Rollins came in to hit a flying knee.  The match started to really break down when Reigns speared Big E Langston.  The Usos cleaned all the heels from the ring, but Billy Gunn hit a rocker dropper on Jimmy.  Cody disaster kicked Billy, then Road Dogg slammed Cody.  Goldust tried for a quick rollup on Road Dogg, but The Shield all got in to break things up, causing interference and the match to end abruptly.

Post-match: The action broke down and eventually turned into a huge brawl with many other superstars getting involved ahead of Sunday's Royal Rumble. Pretty much all the superstars from the back area, with the exception of Daniel Bryan and the Wyatt Family, got into the mix to fight it out before Sunday's Pay-Per-View.

Raw Results 01/20/14

WWE Raw results from Dayton, OH:

The opening segment had Triple H and Stephanie confronting champion Randy Orton over his recent actions.  To make up for it, they booked Orton to face Kofi Kingston in a rematch this week.  They also told him he'd make things right with John Cena over what he did to his father.  Stephanie suggested that Orton wouldn't have to worry about defending the title or being part of WWE otherwise.  During his retorts, Orton brought up that The Authority drove him to act this way.  He also mentioned Batista.

After Steph and HHH were done speaking to Orton, Batista's music hit and The Animal made his anticipated return.  He walked to the ring in street clothes, then hugged Triple H and Stephanie.  They left him in the ring with Orton.  Batista put him on notice that he's back for the WWE title.  He said "I'm back to win the Royal Rumble on Sunday, back to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and back to headline WrestleMania, so deal with it."

The Shield defeated Big E Langston and the Rhodes Brothers via pinfall.  The match broke down with Reigns hitting a spear on Goldust, but Langston knocking down Reigns after.  Ambrose tagged Rollins in who hit a curb stomp on langston for the win.

They brought up Daniel Bryan breaking away from The Wyatt Family and attacking Bray Wyatt in a steel cage last week on Raw.  They said Bryan will break his silence about his time with the family later.

Daniel Bryan arrived out and discussed how he had to do things he didn't like and keep his friends in the dark to get to Bray Wyatt.  He said he had to hang out with three men he despises until he could find the perfect time with Bray Wyatt alone to get to him.  He said he finally got that opportunity last week.  Bryan then said he heard the Harper and Rowan will be in the Royal Rumble match, so that leaves Bray Wyatt to go one-on-one with him.  The lights went out and Bray Wyatt showed up on the big screen.  He told Bryan that he needs to go home and hug his mother because everything that happens to him now is his fault.

Fandango defeated Summer Rae via pinfall.  The match lasted just over a minute with Fandango able to hit his top rope legdrop for the win.  Emma from NXT was shown in the crowd dancing.

Backstage, Stephanie McMahon yelled at Kane for what he did, chokeslamming Punk last week.  She said he needs to get ahold of himself since he's now part of management.  She said that Kane would need to go out and apologize to CM Punk to prove himself to her.

Kane went out to the ring after a commercial break.  He invited Punk out to join him, and Punk did.  Kane apologized, but Punk pretended he couldn't hear him, making Kane repeat himself.  Punk punched Kane in the face then cleared out of the ring.  Kane was going to go after Punk, but Maddox came out and yelled at him to stop.  He told Punk he'd give him a match against Road Dogg or Billy Gunn tonight.  The New Age Outlaws came out and did rock, paper, scissors.  Billy Gunn won so Road Dogg went on guest commentary.

CM Punk defeated Billy Gunn via pinfall.  The match lasted under ten minutes.  Late in the match, Road Dogg yanked Billy out of the ring to avoid the elbow drop from Punk.  Instead, Punk did a running suicide dive out onto Road Dogg. Later in the match, Punk avoided a Fameasser from Gunn, then hit the GTS to win.  Post-match, Maddox congratulated Punk on his win.  Kane came out and took the mic saying everyone's number for the Royal Rumble is random this year, except for Punk's.  He told him that Punk will be the number one entrant in the Royal Rumble this year.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Rey Mysterio via pinfall.  Mysterio got the early advantage with a kick to send Del Rio to the outside.  He followed with a springboard moonsault.  Later, Del Rio took over controling things for a bit, before throwing Rey under the bottom rope to the outside floor.  After a commercial break, Del Rio was in control and twisted up Mysterio's mask before tying him up in the tree of woe.  Mysterio got some offense going with near falls.  However, Del Rio managed to put him in the Cross Arm Breaker for the submission win.  Post-match, Batista came down to the ring to confront Del Rio.  Del Rio acted like he was going to leave, then went after Batista.  The Animal responded by giving him a spinebuster, ripping off his jacket and hitting a Batista Bomb.

Big Show came out as footage was shown of him tossing Brock Lesnar across the ring a few weeks back.  Show made fun of how Heyman talks, then said Lesnar is one of the most dangerous guys in WWE, but he doesn't like him.  After Show called out Lesnar, Paul Heyman walked out alone.  Brock's music hit and Lesnar came out so they started towards the ring.  They stopped, then laughed before going backstage.  Show yelled for Lesnar to get back out there and get in his face.  That brought Brock and Heyman back out.  Lesnar got in the ring face-to-face with Show.  He gave Show a slight headbutt, then laughed.  Show laughed it off.  Brock went for a takedown, with Show blocking it.  Lesnar then forced Show to the corner for shoulder blocks, but Show picked up Brock and tossed him to the outside.  Lesnar was irate outside the ring and tore up the announcers' table, then headed backstage with Heyman.

AJ Lee and Tamina came down to the ring with Tamina covered in cake.  They showed how earlier today Bad News Barrett congratulated AJ on being longest-reigning Divas Champion, then told her that the bad news is nobody likes her.  AJ got upset and smashed a nearby cake into Tamina's face.

Cameron & Naomi defeated AJ Lee and Tamina via pinfall.  At one point, AJ Lee started to act cocky, then started skipping around the ring.  Naomi took advantage of her sloppy attitude and rolled her up for the winning pin.

The Uso Brothers defeated Harper and Rowan via pinfall.  Late in this one, the Usos made a comeback although Harper hit Jey on a suicide dive attempt, then slammed him for a near fall.  Daniel Bryan came running out and attacked Bray Wyatt at ringside.  He kicked Rowan and then started to punch away on Bray some more.  Harper was distracted in the ring, allowing Jey to roll him up for the win.

Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston fought to a no-contest in a non-title match.  Kingston hit the SOS late for a near fall, with Orton coming right back.  However, they showed Cena on a video camera set up in the backstage entrance area, where Cena came rushing into the building.  Orton saw it on the big screen.  Kofi stopped fighting with Orton, as Cena went after the champion.  Post-match, the two ended up fighting into the crowd as Cena dominated.  He went for an AA, but Orton escaped and walked away. Cena chased him into a luxury box in the stands, and then out to the front of the arena.  Orton got into the passenger seat of a car and it drove off, with the driver a mystery.  Cena was frustrated over not catching Orton, but returned back to the arena to shake and slap hands with some fans to close out Raw.

Raw Results 01/13/14

Raw Results from Providence, RI:

The Uso Brothers defeated Bray Wyatt & Daniel Bryan due to disqualification.  In the match, Bryan was in against the Usos for the majority of it, and got beat up enough to where they hit suicide dives on Bryan.  They went for the top rope splash, but Rowan and Harper got involved to cause a DQ.  The Usos excited post-match, but Bray, Rowan and Harper looked at Bryan on the mat.  Bryan got into the crucifix pose, then Bray grabbed him, kissed him and hit Sister Abigail.  He said "it's for the greater good" and he "does this for all of us."  Bray said this will make a change for Bryan.

John Cena defeated Damien Sandow via pinfall.  Late in the match, Cena hit a tornado DDT on Sandow from the second rope.  Sandow kicked out of the pinfall.  Cena was surprised by it, and then moments later Sandow escaped an Attitude Adjustment for a near fall on Cena.  Cena was able to get the STF on, but Sandow got to the ropes.  He then put the STF on Cena.  Cena stood up with Sandow on his back, and hit AA to get the win.  Post-match, Cena hugged his dad at ringside area.

They talked up the new WWE Network which begins six weeks from tonight.  They noted that there will be classic episodes of Raw and SmackDown available as well as every WCW, WWE and ECW pay-per-view from history.  WrestleMania 30 will be offered as the first live PPV for the new $9.99 a month service.

Backstage, Kane chastised Brad Maddox for how the show opened with the Usos vs. Wyatts ending.  He said Maddox needs to enforce the rules better as GM.  Maddox said he'll put that tag team match in a steel cage for later on.  Kane agreed, but said the cage door will be chained and locked, and he'll be the only one with a key.

Big Show defeated Jack Swagger via pinfall.  The match lasted just over a minute.  Show dominated the match and eventually hit a chokeslam for the win.  Cesaro rushed in, but Show went at him and Cesaro ran away.  Show grabbed Zeb Colter, but Cesaro returned to try to save him.  Show dumped Cesaro out over the top rope, then teased a punch on Colter and KO'd him.

They had a Batista video hyping his return to WWE and Raw next week.  It said he's bigger, better and wants to be champion again.

The Shield defeated CM Punk and New Age Outlaws via pinfall.  Late in the match, Punk was getting beat down but escaped and tried to make a hot tag to Road Dogg or Billy Gunn.  They dropped off the apron and headed backstage to leave him on his own for the match.  Punk was able to fight off Ambrose and Rollins for a bit, but Reigns was able to hit the big Spear and get the winning pinfall.  Post-match, Shield hit a Triple Powerbomb on Punk for an exclamation point.

Backstage, Rowan and Harper stood behind Bray and Bryan as they spoke about their cage match.  Bray said he knows last thing Bryan wants is to be locked in a cage with people like them.  He told him inside the cage they find "redemption and absolution."  Bryan added "inside that cage we find...monsters."

AJ Lee & Tamina defeated Cameron and Naomi via pinfall.  During the match, NXT Diva Emma was shown in the crowd with a sign that said "Emmataining," which JBL and Cole talked about.  AJ Lee had control of Cameron down the stretch of the match and pinned her.  Tamina beat up Naomi a bit post-match.  Naomi was able to clear the heels out of the ring.

Backstage, Randy Orton complained to Kane about how the Authority has him in a match against Cena and Brock Lesnar wanting to speak to him.  Kane said he can only control what happens on this show.  He told Orton to take out his frustrations on Kofi Kingston tonight.  Orton said "The pleasure is all mine."

The announced that the first inductee for the WWE Hall of Fame Class 2014 is Ultimate Warrior.

Backstage, Renee Young spoke with Paul Heyman who talked about Big Show's performance earlier. He said he and Brock weren't impressed by how Show chokeslammed Jack Swagger or by how he knocked out his elderly illegitimate grandpa.

Kofi Kingston defeated Randy Orton via pinfall in a non-tite match.  Orton was in control early, but Kofi made a comeback right before a commercial break, and clotheslined Orton off the apron to the outside floor.  After break, orton had control again and worked on Kofi at ringside.  He rolled Kingston back into the ring, but as Orton was in there, Kofi started another comeback.  Later on, Kofi started to hit his big moves, but missed on the double leg Boom Drop.  Orton went for a hanging DDT, but Kingston countered it and hit SOS to get the pinfall win. Post-match, Orton went into a tantrum and attacked Cena's dad at ringside with several punches.  Security worked to get Orton away from Cena's dad.  Cena rushed down to help his dad out, with the physician calling for an EMT.  Cena told fans to back away so the med staff could look at his dad.

After break, they showed Cena's dad getting loaded into an ambulance backstage.  Cena got in the back of the ambulance with his dad as it drove off.  JBL commented that Orton shouldn't be champion with actions like that.

Goldust and Cody Rhodes defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel in a non-title match. During the match, they brought up Ryback's "strange Twitter rant," and also Goldust telling Cody on WWE app that he plans to throw him out of the Royal Rumble this year, like Cody did to him last year.  In the match, Cody was able to hit the CrossRhodes on Axel to get the win.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Rey Mysterio via submission.  The match lasted about five minutes, with a video promo before it featuring Mysterio saying he's going to win this year's Rumble just like he did in 2006.  During the match, Rey hit a 619, then went to the top rope but Del Rio stopped him there and left him hanging.  Del Rio connected on a Superkick then put on the Cross Arm Breaker for the win.  Post-match, Del Rio called out Batista, asking if he liked what he did to his little friend.  He said the same will happen to Batista if he really shows up next week.  He also promised to throw Batista out of the Royal Rumble.

Backstage, CM Punk asked Kane where The Authority was with Kane saying they weren't in the building.  Punk talked about having to deal with Hunter's hired assassins, The Shield, but now also the Outlaws.  He said if Hunter has a problem with him, he doesn't need to hide behind five guys.  Kane said he's sure The Authority has no clue what he's talking about.  He said Punk has a chance to headling Mania if he wins the Royal Rumble.  Punk told Kane he's got no problem with that, but does have a problem with Kane.

They announced Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs. New Age Outlaws in a non-title match for Friday's SmackDown.  New England Patriots guys were shown in the crowd.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler talked about the condition of Cena's dad. Cole said his heart is ok, but he might have a fractured orbital socket.

The Uso Brothers defeated Daniel Bryan & Bray Wyatt in a steel cage match.  Rowan and Harper were ringside.  Kane tied a chain around the cage door to lock it shut.  All four men fought inside the ring at once, tornado style.  Late in the match, one of the Usos headbutted Daniel Bryan off the ropes, causing Bryan to knock Bray off the ropes on the way down.  Moments later, one of the Usos jumped onto Rowan on the outside, with the other landing on the other floor on the side for the win.

The Usos went backstage after their win.  Bryan got on his feet and Wyatt was laughing and yelling maniacally.  Wyatt whispered into Bryan's ear.  Bryan nodded, backing away then got in the crucifix pose.  Wyatt kissed Bryan on the forehead and went for Sister Abigail, but this time Bryan avoided it.  The crowd was chanting for "Daniel Bryan" but Bray told him not to listen to them.  Wyatt dropped to his knees telling Bryan "bring it to me."  He then stood up and told Bryan he's a coward.

Wyatt charged at Bryan, but Bryan moved and threw some punches, then hit him with the repeating running dropkicks in the corner.  Bryan kicked Bryan in the head several times before taking off his coveralls to reveal his standard wrestling attire.  He threw the coveralls at Wyatt and kicked on him.  Rowan and Harper climbed up the cage to try to get in through the top, but Bryan rammed Wyatt into the cage wall, causing them to fall off.  Bryan hit Wyatt with the running knee before going to the top of the cage to lead the crowd in Yes! chants.  Bryan's music played as Raw ended.
