Raw Revelations - Anonymous GM & The Nexus
It appears clear now that those pesky NXT guys aren't fooling around. In the course of just a few weeks, the NXT Season 1 crew has:
1)Destroyed a ring and surrounding set
2)Sent John Cena out on a stretcher
3)beat up Edge, Luke Gallows, CM Punk, Hart Dynasty & a variety of other personalities around the ring
4)shaken up Bret Hart in a crazy limo rampage and eventually got him fired
5)helped Sheamus win the WWE Title
6)given their former boss, Mr. McMahon a royal beatdown
7)"disposed of" Daniel Bryan (although we know the real story)
8)got themselves all contracts with the WWE
Basically, they've been responsible for a lot of damage in the past few weeks. Lead by Wade Barrett this group will be called "The Nexus" as the name has apparently been trademarked by WWE. I'm curious to see when and where (and against who) Wade Barrett takes his PPV title shot. He's in the role of a heel, as is Sheamus. I was expecting WWE to go with a lesser title for Barrett, say the US Title or Intercontinental, but seems he may go for the bigtime prize. Maybe he'll go after Rey Mysterio who currently holds the World Title, unless maybe Orton or Cena recaptures the WWE Title in the coming months.
I have a feeling these NXT guys will continue their destructive ways and interfering in matches to further annoy the WWE Universe. Not sure we'll see them wrestle in the ring for several weeks, because they probably need to keep generating heat to get themselves established. However, Michael Cole read a "new email" from the new anonymous GM of Raw saying their actions will be dealt with. Hmmmm....maybe a match could come next week?
About that new GM who simply sends emails to Michael Cole on a laptop, giving him something to do besides commentate and make geeky remarks, I've got some early guesses at who it is. First thought was that it was Mr. McMahon duping us all, which is still possible. He loves that sort of thing. Other thoughts were that it's his daughter Stephanie, former commentator Jim Ross, the fired NXT guy, Daniel Bryan, or maybe even Linda McMahon. The anonymous thing is a good mystery though and leaves the door open for plenty of intriguing possibilities.
WWE NXT continues to heat up and it's exciting to see the fans will get to be heard in the first vote on next Tuesday night. Voting begins at 10PM EST on WWE.com. This season' the rookies get a 50% pro vote and a 50% fan vote which will influence the contest. So far, I have a feeling the fans like Kuval's in-ring showmanship despite the 0-2 record, as well as Percy Watson's flamboyant/flashy personality, and probably Michael McGillicutty's quick wins & pairing with Kofi Kingston help. I'm expecting we'll see those 3 at the top for fan votes despite their win/loss records. The pros may have a different view though.
