He talks about how Brock made The Undertaker go missing and Sting would be in a retirement match if he faced Brock. He says Lesnar will eat through the entire locker room. Heyman re-introduces himself saying he represents the power.

Raw Preview 07/09/12

Tonight's Raw will be the final episode of the show before this week's Money in the Bank PPV arrives.  With that in mind, there's plenty going on leading up to the big event and its matches.  That includes the ongoing love triangle involving AJ, Daniel, Bryan and CM Punk.  While AJ will serve as special guest referee for the WWE Championship match, the mind games are in full effect as she's been playing both sides.  As Bryan and Punk attempt to enter this situation with the odds in their favor, who is AJ leaning towards?  Will she be able to serve as a fair referee at the match on Sunday?

Heading into the Pay-Per-View, the World Heavyweight title situation is also ramping up.  Alberto Del Rio was named #1 contender for the title, and has responded with attacks on Sin Cara on Raw, and Sheamus on SmackDown.  In one situation he unmercifully applied his submission hold on Sin Cara's arm.  In the other, he smashed the hood of one of his fancy cars down on Sheamus' back multiple times.  How will the champion respond to this attack?  Will he be able to fight at Sunday's PPV?

One other big question lingers for Monday's show.  It's already known that Zack Ryder will be the man in charge for SmackDown on Friday, due to his big win in the Great American Bash Battle Royal.  Ryder outlasted his fellow competitors, including Kane, in the final moments, to become the official head honcho for Friday's show.  Meanwhile, there's been no official news made about who will host or be the GM for Raw.  Will it be another superstar, or a member from the WWE headquarters?

Find out when Raw goes live at 9PM EST on USA Monday night!

John Laurinaitis Job Situation & Elimination Chamber Matches

Last night's Raw let it be know that interim General Manager John Laurinaitis was still on the hot seat.  Triple H announced that the WWE Board would decide JL's fate after Laurinaitis had appealed to them about not being fired.  During Raw, they noted that WWE.com would announce the full story on Tuesday morning with the board's decision.

Well the WWE Board of Directors has spoken and according to WWE.com, Laurinaitis is not fired.  A two-minute video accompanies the story at WWE.com for fans to see last night's segment involving Triple H and Laurinaitis.  Of course this will probably irritate some fans and Triple H heading forward.  Others may want to see how this will play out.  By the way, JL announced he invited Shawn Michaels to appear on Raw for next Monday's episode, which will probably play into the Triple H vs Undertaker storyline.

Triple H actually liked one idea that Laurinaitis gave him last night too. He suggested a new Elimination Chamber match at this month's Pay-Per-View featuring John Cena vs. Kane in an ambulance match.  It's going to be interesting to see how the feud ends between Kane and Cena with this one.  Will Zack Ryder show up to make sure Kane is sent to the hospital, or will Cena do the work?  Will Cena be put on the shelf ahead of his big match with The Rock?

Also, it seems like there's a strong chance, one, or both championships could move at the Chamber PPV.  One would have to think that putting the championship on a guy like Randy Orton to defend against Sheamus makes for a better match than The Celtic Warrior vs. The Vegan Daniel Bryan.  Also, having Chris Jericho enter the Elimination Chamber last gives him the ability to ultimately get the big win and take the WWE Championship with Punk getting his rematch at Mania.

What do you think will be the outcome of the Elimination Chamber matches?  Will either title change hands?

Raw Results 11/29/10 - 2010 King of the Ring

Raw Results from Philadelphia, PA:

They kicked things off with highlights of last week's main event, Barrett vs Orton for the WWE Title. Barrett and Nexus attacked Orton before the match, hurting his knee. Barrett took advantage of that during the match, and hit his finisher, but John Cena arrived to ringside to yank the ref out before he could count the pinfall. Cena was chased through the crowd by Nexus, and Orton won the match. Not long after, The Miz cashed in his MITB contract getting a title match against Orton. After a hard fought match, Miz hit his finisher to win the WWE title.

Michael Cole welcomed fans to the 2010 King of the Ring tournament, plus the "Era of Awesome" begins with The Miz, new WWE Champion. Lawler suggested Cole calm down just a bit. They showed a royal thrown, cape and crown set up on stage with special king music playing. Just then, Alex Riley, The Miz's apprentice came out onto the stage to boast about Miz being the WWE Champion. Riley talked about the unforgettable moment when Miz won the title. Riley kept talking saying it was time to party, even insulting new Raw commentator CM Punk. He said Raw is going A-Ri and it's going to be "Awesome."

Brackets were revealed for the 2010 KOTR as: Bryan vs Del Rio, Morrison vs Rhodes, Jackson vs McIntyre, and Kingston vs Sheamus.

Daniel Bryan vs. Alberto Del Rio
KOTR Tournament Round 1

Ricardo Rodriguez was on hand to introduce the first competitor in the KOTR tourney. Rodriguez was sporting a bruised eye from the punch he received from Big Show on Smackdown.

After commercial break, Del Rio had control but it wasn't long before Bryan gained momentum back. He had multiple pinfall attempts with Del Rio escaping them all. At one point, Del Rio rushed towards Bryan at the ropes, but missed and fell near the crowd barrier. Bryan went for the suicide dive through the ropes and took down Del Rio but also crashed shoulder first into the barrier. Del Rio took advantage of it in the ring by slapping on the Armbreaker to make Bryan tap out.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio wins via submission over Danie Byran to advance to Round 2 of KOTR 2010.

Cole, Punk and Lawler talked about former King of the Ring winners: Edge, Bret Hart, Triple H and Brock Lesnar. Another superstar will join those names after tonight.

R-Truth arrived out performing "What's Up?" his standard crowd-pumping theme song. Truth spoke in the ring about Cena giving his farewell last week to the WWE. Truth said he tried to get Cena to quit on his own terms earlier, but it all ended up costing him what he loves the most - the WWE Universe. Truth said Nexus may have won the battle, but the war hasn't even started yet. Truth challenged any Nexus member to go one-on-one.

Josh Matthews was shown backstage and went to Nexus locker room. Michael McGillicutty walked out telling Matthews to shut up and that he hear Truth, saying he's about to show him what happens when he challenges Nexus. The camera showed McGill walking on his way to the ring when he got attacked by someone off camera wearing jean shorts. McGill got beat up and tossed to the ground, then a hand with a purple wristband waved to the camera, looking very much like John Cena's arm.

John Morrison vs. Dashing Cody Rhodes
KOTR Round Tournament 1

Early on Morrison slapped Rhodes in the face, prompting Dashing to roll out of the ring and kick the barrier. Morrison retrieved him and tossed him back in for more punishment. Rhodes soon gained the advantage.

Late in the match, both men jumped to the ropes to go for their flying kicks. Morrison was quicker though and landed his to Rhodes face to knock him down. He followed up with a knee to the head to take out Rhodes for the pinfall.

Winner: John Morrison wins via pinfall over Dashing Cody Rhodes to advance to KOTR Round 2.

Miss USA Rima Fakih will be on hand to crown tonight's 2010 King of the Ring winner.

Ezekiel Jackson vs. Drew McIntyre
KOTR Tournament Round 1

Jackson got the early advantage and smashed Drew in the corner with a huge clothesline then a splash. CM Punk noted that one of the turnbuckle covers came off a bit causing it to be exposed. Drew smashed Ezekiel face first into it and had a near fall as a result.

At one point in the match, both guys went tumbling out of the ring. They continued to fight at the bottom of the ramp. Jackson had Drew down and saw the ref count nearing 10. He went to rush back to the ring, but Drew grabbed his leg to hold him back. The result, a double countout, meaning whoever wins the Sheamus vs Kofi Kingston match gets a bye to the finals.

Winner: Double countout so neither superstar will advance to Round 2 of KOTR.

Daniel Bryan was backstage icing his shoulder injury from the earlier match with Del Rio. Both of the Bella Twins came up trying to cozy up to Bryan. Alex Riley entered the scene to ask what they were doing hanging with that loser. He chastised them saying they're in charge of entertainment for The Miz's big victory celebration, and yelled at Bryan for blowing his opportunity on NXT to be mentored by The Miz.

When Raw returned they reviewed last week's main event again with Barrett vs Orton for the WWE Title, preying upon Orton's injury. Also shown were highlights of The Miz cashing in his MITB contract to win the WWE Title. After the highlights, Jerry Lawler said former champion Randy Orton won't be there tonight due to the injury he suffered.

Justin Roberts introduced the new WWE champion, The Miz. Miz arrived out in a suit carrying the WWE Championship belt. Alex Riley was with him. Michael Cole stood up from his seat and applauded the new champ.

Miz showed off photos of a girl from the crowd last week who was angry that he won the WWE Championship. He said that little girl will forever be known as "the Miz girl," reminding him of all the trouble he had to go through to get there. He said Orton's not there due to a knee injury. Miz said the only real injury on Orton is his pride due to being embarrassed in last week's loss. He said Orton is the first in a long list of people who will be demoralized. He vowed to be longest reigning champion in WWE history.

Alex Riley held up a copy of the new book about the rich history of the WWE Championship. Miz said Roddy Piper and Ricky Steamboat, both Hall of Famers, never won the title. He said the list goes on and on. Jerry Lawler got up to interrupt saying he's a name on that list. Lawler said Miz basically beat a guy who had already been beaten up by 7 other guys. Miz told Lawler it sounds like the ramblings of a bitter old man. Michael Cole got up and told Lawler to sit down and let Miz have his moment. Lawler suggested that Miz call someone out tonight for a WWE title match who hasn't been beaten down by 7 other guys.

Cole told Lawler to be careful or Miz might make an example of him. Lawler said he's been there since 1993 and never has had a WWE title opportunity, so he asked Miz for a shot. Miz said he won't be defending his WWE title tonight. Lawler said that confirms it, Miz is a coward. Miz retorted that Lawler is just a shell of a Hall of Famer who's never done anything.

Suddenly, the lights flashed and email sound dinged. Cole got up to read an email from the GM. The Raw GM said they are interested in seeing Miz defend the WWE title tonight, so he will do so in the main event against Jerry "the King" Lawler. Raw GM adds a stipulation, tonight's match is Tables, Ladders and Chairs in anticipation of the TLC PPV in December.

Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus
KOTR Tournament Round 1

CM Punk said Sheamus is his pick, and said he'll be facing John Morrison in the finals. Not sure if this was a slip by Punk or just his prediction. Michael Cole announced the 2010 Slammy Awards will be in two weeks with a special 3 hour Raw. CM Punk apologized saying he thought this was the finals.

Mid-way through this match, Kofi scored the Boom Boom double leg drop. Cole noted that the winners of the KOTR tournament have combined for 62 championships. Sheamus had Kofi up for the High Cross move. Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise, but Sheamus landed under the bottom rope. Kofi tried to pull Sheamus into the ring, but Sheamus held onto the apron cover. Kofi stomped on his hand then pulled him in.

Moments later, after a pendulum kick, Kofi got on the corner and went for a flying move. Sheamus got him mid air with his Brogh Kick, then scored the winning pinfall. Sheamus will be in the finals due to the double countout of Jackson/McIntyre.

Winner: Sheamus wins via pinfall over Kofi Kingston to advance to the finals of 2010 KOTR Tournament.

Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu vs. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel

As the match was continuing the crowd started going wild all of a sudden. John Cena was shown out in the crowd with a ticket in hand. He shook hands and hugged various fans, then took a seat in the front row to watch the match. CM Punk called Cena a showboater because he sat on the side to get his face on camera.

Gabriel broke up a pinfall that Henry had on Heath Slater. Gabriel and Yoshi ended up going to the outside. Slater managed to kick Henry as he rushed him in the corner. Slater got up on the corner and turned his attention to yell at Cena in the front row. As he jumped at Henry, Henry caught him and hit World's Strongest Slam for the win.

Winners: Mark Henry and Yoshi Tatsu win via pinfall over Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater.

Post-match, John Cena jumped over the crowd barrier and rushed to ringside. He tore off the commentator's table top and moved the monitors, then yanked Slater out of the ring. Cena did an Attitude Adjustment on Slater to crash him through the table. Cena took off into the crowd, and jumped up on some equipment to do the You Cant C Me taunt. Nexus arrived to ringside to assist Gabriel backstage.

They replayed highlights of the earlier incidents involving Cena taking out Nexus members McGillicutty and Gabriel.

Nexus members Otunga, Harris and Gabriel were in the locker room backstage. Otunga said they're sitting ducks for Cena. Barrett walked in and said they're going to end things tonight. He said he'll go call him out there.

They showed Jerry Lawler in the locker room getting ready for the match. Arn Anderson walked in to say the title match is long overdue. AA told King the TLC matches are dangerous and chances of getting hurt are pretty good. He said nobody will blame him for letting the opportunity pass him by. Lawler said he's never been in a TLC or WWE title match. AA said we'll see what you're made of, one thing left to do is beat him. CM Punk and Cole talked of Lawler's chances at winning the WWE title TLC match later on.

John Morrison vs. Alberto Del Rio
KOTR Tournament Rd 2 Match

During the match, Cole and Punk talked of former winners, noting that Regal was the last winner in 2008, but he is currently on a sabatical. Morrison took down Del Rio with a flying kick for a near fall. Moments later, Del Rio hit a move to work over Morrison's arm, by smashing it against both knees as he dropped to the mat. He hammered on Morrison's head down on the mat, then whipped him to the corner for a running kick.

Suddenly, the horn started to beep on Del Rio's car several times. Del Rio turned to look out towards his car and saw Rey Mysterio appear out of the sunroof area. With Del Rio distracted, Morrison hit the flash kick from the ropes and took the winning pinfall.

Winner: John Morrison wins via pinfall over Alberto Del Rio to advance to the finals of KOTR Tournament.

Wade Barrett was shown walking down the backstage hall, on his way out to the ring to call out John Cena.

They showed Barrett vs Orton in last week's main event yet again, with Cena rushing out to yank the ref from the ring and then hit the AA on Barrett. Orton was able to win the match with the RKO to retain the WWE Title.

Nexus leader Wade Barrett arrived out to the ring by himself. In the ring, Barrett said he's the only one on the planet with the power to bring Cena back to the WWE. Barrett said he sees right through Cena's plan to try to get him so mad he reinstates him. Wade said he promises Cena will never work in WWE again. Barrett vowed that Nexus will get their hands on him. As Barrett continued to speak he was interrupted on the big screen with John Cena appearing in the parking lot. He said he made a promise before he was fired to take out each member one-by-one. Barrett said it's obvious Cena's out in the parking lot. He said "Security go get him." Cena reminded him that Nexus attacked security weeks ago so they're in no rush to save Nexus.

Suddenly, Harris, Otunga and Gabriel showed up to corner Cena near a truck in the parking lot. Cena said they should know that he's not the only enemy there. They turned around and got attacked by other Raw superstars including DH Smith, Mark Henry, Yoshi Tatsu and Vladimir Kozlov. Cena tossed Otunga head first at the nearby limo, smashing the glass window. He threw him into some nearby trash cans. Cena also delivered the AA to Gabriel, smashing him onto the hood of the Limo. Cena says to the camera that he'll keep going until he gets each and every one of them, then said he'd see Wade and Nexus again next week.

They showed video of the aftermath of the scene outside in the parking lot with broken glass and the smashed up limo. Cole introduced a replay of what just happened out there with Cena and Nexus. CM Punk said Cena isn't working for WWE so he is assaulting these guys.

Gail Kim, Melina & Natalya vs. Tamina, Alicia Fox & Maryse
Six Diva Tag Match

They showed a replay of last week when Tamina serenaded Santino backstage with her acoustic guitar ballad, and then the passionate kiss. As the match was going on, Santino came out from backstage serenading Tamina with his own acoustic song "I Think We're Alone Now."

Tamina was wooed by Santino's song and put him in a headlock then walked him backstage. Maryse was yelling about the fact Tamina left them. It ended up with Natalya versus Alicia Fox in the ring. Natalya put Alicia down on the mat, locked in the Sharpshooter and forced the tap.

Winners: Natalya, Gail Kim & Melina win via submission over Tamina, Alicia Fox & Maryse.

They showed a career highlight video of Jerry "The King" Lawler in anticipation of his first ever WWE Championship match tonight. They showed Lawler stretching back in the locker room wearing his wrestling gear.

Raw returned with Ted Dibiase back in the locker room looking at a toy version of the WWE championship belt. Maryse came in yelling at Dibiase for playing with toys and not winning the real belt. She said when he looks bad, he makes her look bad. Finally, Dibiase had enough and screamed at her to Shut up then stormed off.

Harris and Otunga were shown sneaking around the arena. Harris said Cena won't stop until Cena gets his job back from Wade. Otunga said he thinks he knows a way to bring an end to all of this, then said he has Harris' back.

Josh Matthews interviewed the finalists for the King of the Ring 2010 tournament, John Morrison and Sheamus. He said Sheamus may be fresher due to less matches, but Morrison has history on his side since he beat Sheamus at Survivor Series. Sheamus told Morrison he got lucky at SS, but tonight he's got an arm injury so he's ripe for the picking. Morrison said it doesn't matter if Sheamus is bigger or stronger or looks white like powder, at the end of the night only one of them will walk out of there as King of the Ring. The camera showed the crowd, robe and throne up on stage with Cole saying the finals are coming up next.

John Morrison vs. Sheamus
KOTR Finals Match

Miss USA Rima Fakih was introduced by Justin Roberts as the special guest ring announcer for the match. Sheamus gained control of the match heading into the commercial and continued to be in control afterwords. They showed Sheamus had tossed Morrison into the crowd barrier during the break. Sheamus dropped Morrison in the ring to further damage that hurt arm.

Morrison started to make a comeback and eventually had Sheamus in the corner. He started to pound away on him, but Sheamus shoved him off. Sheamus went for the running Brogh Kick, but Morrison ducked it. Sheamus set up for the High Cross to finish off Sheamus. Morrison slid off and tried to land a backslide pin, but couldn't. Sheamus shoved Morrison to the corner then charged with Morrison elbowing him. Morrison reversed a Sheamus sidewalk slam to turn it into a DDT. Morrison had the pin but Sheamus grabbed the bottom rope to stop it before 3.

Moments later Sheamus dropped Morrison to the mat on his hurt arm. He went for the pinfall with Morrison able to kick out. Sheamus kept assaulting that hurt shoulder and put on a submission to try to get Morrison to tap. Morrison flipped around on the mat and kicked Sheamus in the head to get out. Sheamus grabbed Morrison from behind but Morrison delivered a reverse kick to his face to take him down.

Morrison went for Starship Pain, but Sheamus got both knees up to block it. Moments later, Sheamus managed to finally deliver that Brogh Kick to level Morrison. He followed with the High Cross to throw Morrison across the ring, then grabbed the winning pinfall for the win. Sheamus is the 2010 King of the Ring winner.

Winner: to win the 2010 King of the Ring Tournament.

Post-match, Sheamus walked up the ramp and received the sceptre, robe and crown from Miss USA Rima Fakih. Sheamus took his seat in the throne as the 2010 King of the Ring. He picked up a mic to speak, saying finally the lineage for the high kings of lineage has been fulfilled. He stood up yelling "All Hail the King" after referring to the WWE Universe as his royal subjects.

They showed Jerry Lawler and WWE Champ The Miz walking backstage on a split-screen on their way out for the main event WWE Championship TLC Match.

Jerry Lawler vs. The Miz
WWE Title TLC Match

A main event match set up earlier by the Raw GM gave Jerry Lawler his first ever WWE Title match in a TLC match against The Miz. The ring had tables, ladders and chairs set up around the ring with the WWE Championship hanging above the ring. The Miz was introduced first and arrived out with his protege Alex Riley. Riley had the beat up and battered MITB briefcase with him. Jerry Lawler was introduced second to the crowd's ovation.

Michael Cole said he was guaranteeing that Jerry Lawler isn't walking out of there as the WWE Champion tonight. CM Punk told him he can't say that since Jerry Lawler is a legend. Lawler scored the first punch after a lock up, causing the two to recircle each other.

Later, The Miz started to bash Lawler with chairs on the outside. He tossed Lawler back in the ring, then set up two chairs. Lawler nearly hit a backdrop to drop Miz onto both chairs, but Miz managed to jump over them. He picked up Lawler then did a back breaker onto the chair. Punk kept saying Miz was making mistakes, while Cole was saying this is a young man's game which doesn't favor Lawler.

Alex Riley started to grab a ladder to hand to Miz in the ring. It took several moments and allowed the King to start bashing Miz with a steel chair. Lawler went to the outside to get a ladder, with Alex Riley rushing over. King floored him with a huge punch, then started to slide the ladder back into the ring. Miz grabbed the other end inside the ring, but Lawler flipped the ladder causing it to hit Miz in the jaw. Back in the ring, Miz managed to counter a move in the corner causing Lawler to hit the ladder. Moments later, Lawler avoided a move by the Miz with the ladder in the corner then backdropped him onto the ladder.

Riley hopped onto the apron and clotheslined King down. Lawler got back up though and fought with him from in the ring. Riley went for a suplex, with Lawler punching him, causing Riley to fall backwards through a table smashing it. Lawler set up a ladder and began his climb for the title, with Miz pulling him down. Punk criticized him for not climbing up the ladder right then. Miz went for a high risk move with a chair, but Lawler cut him off on the corner. Lawler went up for a Superplex, but Miz headbutted him down. King git back up and shoved Miz off the corner apron area and Miz fell backwards through a table, crashing to the floor.

Michael Cole got out of his announce position, leaving Punk alone to do commentary. Cole tried to get Miz up from the floor, as King climbed up the ladder and got to the WWE belt. Suddenly with lawler's hand on the belt, Michael Cole rushed into the ring and grabbed him by the leg. Punk was shocked as was Lawler when he looked down to see what was going on. Lawler hopped down to confront Cole over what was going on. Cole kept backing around the ladder in the center of the ring telling Lawler he didn't mean it. Finally Lawler punched Cole in the face as he'd had enough of him. Lawler got on top of Cole on the mat and began to punch away on him.

All of that chaos allowed Miz to return to the ring and make his climb up the ladder. He got to the top and started to reach for the belt, but Lawler had managed to get up the other side. The two competitors fought up top with Miz grasping one hand on the swinging belt. After several punches from Lawler, Miz smashed the belt into Lawler's face. Lawler fell off the ladder to the mat while Miz snatched down his WWE belt to retain.

Winner: The Miz wins the TLC Match over Jerry Lawler to retain the WWE Championship.

Raw Preview 11/21/10

With the conclusion of 2010 Survivor Series results, fans from the WWE Universe were left in shock. That's because they may have seen John Cena at his final WWE event, after Cena made the correct pinfall count, in favor of WWE Champion, Randy Orton. The decision is likely to not sit well with Nexus leader Wade Barrett, and per his stipulations, Cena will now be fired from WWE. Even Randy Orton was shocked by the decision, in which he retained the WWE Title. Will Cena show up on Raw to say his farewell to the WWE Universe? Is this the last we've seen of John Cena?

There were plenty of other Raw superstars in action on the Survivor Series PPV card. One contest saw Daniel Bryan in another successful defense of his United States Championship as he was able to make Ted Dibiase tap out to the Labelle Lock. Another match, saw John Morrison take the first victory in what is likely to be a feud of several matches between he and Sheamus. The team of Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov failed in their attempts to win the tag titles from Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater. Will there be rematches in store for these superstars on Raw?

There was one championship winner at Survivor Series from Raw, and that was Natalya. The Raw diva was able to overcome tough odds against Team LayCool. In a match that went under 5 minutes, Natalya was able to grab Michelle in the ring and put her down on the mat into the Sharpshooter. With McCool tapping out soon after, Natalya captured the Divas title for her first ever reign. However, despite the win, Natalya is part of the Hart Dynasty which has been having issues for weeks now. Will she be able to re-unite Tyson Kidd and DH Smith, or is the Hart Dynasty done? Who will be first to challenge Natalya for the Divas title?

Check out Raw at its regular time tonight of 9PM EST on USA!

Raw Preview 10/11/10

After last week's dramatic episode of Raw, fans aren't quite sure what to expect tonight. John Cena was forced to join The Nexus per stipulations of his Bragging Rights match. Wade Barrett wasted no time in making Cena of great use to the group, by having him assist him in winning a 20-man Battle Royal. With the win, Barrett became the #1 Contender for the WWE Title. Cena was definitely upset at having to eliminate himself from the contest to give Barrett the win. What will be next for John Cena as part of the Nexus?

As Barrett won the battle royal and Cena left, The Viper Randy Orton came to the ring. Orton gave Barrett notice without words, simply by staring him down and showing off the WWE Championship. It appears these two will be facing off at Bragging Rights in several weeks. Will Randy Orton have anything to say about Wade Barrett on Raw tonight? Will Barrett and The Nexus have some sort of plan to try to wear down the champion?

Last week also saw Edge arrive to the ring per the orders of the anonymous GM. Edge was required to issue a public apology, but didn't do a good job of it. In the end, Edge found himself out of a chance at the WWE Title as the GM told him he wouldn't be in the 20-man battle royal. The GM also made a surprise announcement, when he told Edge he had been officially traded to Smackdown! With that, Edge found himself on SyFy with the rest of the SD roster. However, that means someone was traded to Raw. Will that superstar's identity be made public knowledge on tonight's show?

Catch Raw tonight at 9PM EST on USA!

Raw Results 09/06/10

Raw Results from Washington, DC:

No video package or fireworks to start off Raw. Michael Cole announced that Nexus is already in the ring, as all members were there except Skip Sheffield. Wade Barrett spoke about how last week they made history by taking out The Undertaker in the ring. They had the replay shown of Barrett hitting his finisher on Taker after the lights came back on, and then Justin Gabriel hitting a 450 Splash on him in the ring.

David Otunga started talking next, saying despite losing Darren Young and Skip Sheffield, they still stayed together and had the night of their lives last week. Tarver took the mic, saying later on last week's show they took out five of WWE's top superstars. He said Jericho and Edge were so scared they took themselves out of the match. Heath Slater talked about how he pinned the WWE Champion Sheamus in the main event. Justin Gabriel bragged he's one of the few guys in WWE who did his finishing move on Undertaker and Cena in the same night.

Barrett said after all of that, he "de-venomized The Viper." Barrett said in two week's time, he will become the new WWE Champion at the Six Pack Challenge and bring the title back home to The Nexus, making history. Barrett continued his speech, but suddenly was interrupted as Randy Orton arrived out to the ramp. The Viper noted that he took out two members of The Nexus in less than 30 seconds. Orton said no need to roll the footage, because he'll just do it again. He told Barrett at Night of Champions he'll make it his business to hit him with the RKO. Barrett challenged Orton to come to the ring now and try it.

Orton started down the ramp but the Raw GM Email chime sounded. Cole got up to read from the podium, "And I quote..." The email said Nexus looked good as a unit last week, but tonight they'll go at it individually. Justin Gabriel will face John Cena one-on-one. Also, Randy Orton will face Wade Barrett tonight. The GM added a special stipulation to make things fair: Nexus is banned from ringside during these matches.

WWE Rewind showed last week's main event, the 5-on-5 elimination match. Edge had just shoved the ref to get himself DQ'd and eliminated on purpose. It made it just Cena, Orton and Sheamus versus the five Nexus guys. That was it for the replay.

John Morrison vs. Chris Jericho

As Jericho was getting to the ring, another email came through. Cole read the email saying that Jericho & Edge taking themselves out of the main event last week was a slap in the face to everyone including the GM. The GM said that if Jericho and Edge don't win their respective matches tonight, they'll be taken out of the match at Night of Champions. Jericho rushed over to Cole at the podium and demanded he tell him who the GM is. Just then his opponent, John Morrison arrived out for the match.

Late in the match, Jericho whipped Morrison across the ring to the corner. He charged at him, but JMo moved away and Jericho hit the ringpost shoulder first. Morrison went for Starship Pain, but Jericho rolled out of the way. JMo landed on his feet but tweaked his knee. Jericho quickly turned him over for Walls of Jericho. Morrison fought it and finally got to the bottom rope to break.

In the closing moments, Morrison was up on the corner fighting off Jericho. He eventually punched Jericho down to the mat, then went for Starship Pain, this time connecting and pinning Jericho. Jericho is now out of the Six Pack Challenge per Raw GM's stipulation. He was down on the mat and realized it as he started to get up. Jericho exited the ring then sat on the steps to contemplate what happened. Lawler and Cole talked of how Jericho's career was significantly changed from now. Lawler said it's a "turning point" in Jericho's career.

Winner: John Morrison wins via pinfall over Chris Jericho.

Melina vs. Alicia Fox

Cole and Lawler talked about the upcoming Divas/WWE Womens Championship Unification match, a Lumberjill match scheduled for Night of Champions.

Alicia Fox came out to the ramp with a mic in hand and said Melina won't be defending the title at Night of Champions, because if anyone deserves to be the undisputed champion it's her. Fox said she'll be the one in the unification match at NOC not Melina.

Melina jumped up on Alicia's back in the corner and was going for her Sunset Flip move. Alicia dumped her over the ropes onto the apron. Moments later, Melina was able to grab Alicia, let out a scream, and hit her Sunset Split leg move on Alicia to get the pinfall.

Winner: Melina wins via pinfall over Alicia Fox.

The Miz was backstage admiring something behind a black curtain. He told Josh Matthews "tonight is all about The Miz." He said tonight the entire world will know about the "journey to awesome." Matthews tried to look under the curtain, but Miz slapped his hand and told him to get out of there now. On commentary, Cole laughed and asked what Miz is even doing hanging out with Josh Matthews backstage.

Back in the locker room, Edge was asking Zack Ryder why he should lose his Six Pack Challenge spot since Jericho already did. Edge said he only shoved the ref because he said something bad about his mom and nobody does that. Ryder suggested that Edge should take him on in his match tonight. Edge told Ryder he's brilliant, because Ryder sucks and he's an easy win.

From there, Edge yelled out to the anonymous GM that he accepts Ryder's challenge. Edge said if Ryder's music doesn't play for his opponent tonight, he'll smash apart the laptop that the GM uses to communicate. Ryder then asked Edge if he really called him a "tool." Edge said yes and Ryder said it hurt his feelings. Edge shook his head and left the scene.

Ted Dibiase was shown sitting down in a dressing room talking on the phone telling the person on the other end how much he loves them and spending time with them. Just then, Maryse came walking in and asked who he was talking to. Dibiase ended the call and said "talk to you later- Mom." Maryse then said "by the way, me too." Dibiase didn't know what she was talking about and she produced a note she found at her purse saying "I want you." Dibiase claimed he didn't write it, then suggested maybe it was a note to him. Maryse got upset and began going off in French, so Dibiase walked out.

An advertisement for next week's Season Premiere of Raw showed that next week will be "Raw Roulette."

John Cena vs. Justin Gabriel

During the match a battle of "Let's Go Cena!" vs "Cena Sucks" chants started. Shortly after that, Gabriel gained control, and hit a flip from off the apron over the top rope to Senton bomb onto Cena for a near fall. Moments later he hit a Cross body for another near fall.

Gabriel tried for a submission hold later on, with Cena withstanding the pain to work out of it. Gabriel was able to counter a Cena move for a Gutwrench bomb to a near fall.

In the closing moments, Gabriel had momentum and kicked Cena in the face on the mat, then pulled him near the corner. Gabriel climbed the corner for his 450 Splash. Cena was quick to get up and punched Gabriel on the corner. Cena climbed up the corner backwards, got Gabriel on his shoulders and then jumped off the corner to hit the Attitude Adjustment.

Winner: John Cena wins via pinfall over Justin Gabriel.

Cole and Lawler talked about "Legendary" starring John Cena. The movie will debut in limited theaters starting Friday. To find out theaters showing the movie near you, check out WWE.com. They showed an exclusive "Inside Legendary" preview including a scene where Cena had to toss a medicine ball at his young co-star's chest hard to take him out of the frame. Danny Glover and Patricia Clarkson were also part of the behind-the-scenes look.

As Raw returned, The Miz was already in the ring with his black curtain item. He introduced himself as Mike Mizanin, and said six years ago he was told he had no right to be there. Miz said he used to be scum of the Earth, a reality TV star. Miz showed a pic of his days back on "WWE Tough Enough," the reality show competition to determine a new wrestling star. The Miz said back in the day everyone told him to go back to MTV. He said he refused to cave in to the pressure.

The Miz said he became host of Smackdown so he could still work with WWE. He talked about eventually partnering up with John Morrison to be tag champs. He said everyone thought Miz would disappear if he and Morrison split up. Miz said they did split up, but he went on to be US Champion. Miz said everyone told him he'd never rise to the next level, but he won Money in the Bank. Miz said he can now be looked at the biggest star in the entire company.

The Miz asked for a drumroll to reveal what was behind the black curtain. He pulled the curtain off the reveal the newest WWE Magazine cover, which has The Miz on it. He said as a kid he would buy each issue and dream he'd be on the cover one day. Miz demanded that everyone in the arena stand up to admit they were wrong about him and he made it. Miz said he's the posterchild for WWE now, not Cena or Orton. As Miz was finishing up his promo, Daniel Bryan came out from backstage to the ring.

Bryan got in the ring to introduce himself and said he was there to congratulate The Miz. Bryan said they have a lot in common, because nobody thought he'd make it either. Miz said he hasn't made it or done anything. Bryan told Miz if he gets to face him for the United States Championship, he will beat him. Miz told Bryan he doesn't even deserve a shot. Bryan had them show a fake WWE Cover up on the Titantron "Miz Taps" showing Bryan putting a Crossface on him. Bryan promised Miz that he can make him tap out and become the next US Champion.

Bryan finally made the challenge for a US Championship match and asked Miz - Yes or No? Miz paused then said "Yes." Bryan smiled and said "thank you, I appreciate it." Miz said no, thank you. He tried to attack, but Bryan dodged it, and then put Miz down in the Crossface. Suddenly, The Miz's NXT rookie Alex Riley rushed into the ring and tried to attack Bryan. Bryan was able to fight him off and then dump Miz out of the ring. He put Riley into the Crossface for a while while Miz watched helpless outside the ring. From there, Bryan started to smirk at the big WWE Magazine cover in the ring. After several moments he kicked the magazine down to anger Miz.

They showed September 4, 1995 when WCW Monday Nitro debuted against WWE Monday Night Raw. It talked about the start of the Monday Night Wars, which WCW dominated for two years, until the Raw Attitude Era started and eventually WWE bought WCW. More of these classic incidents are available on WWE Classics on Demand.

Edge was shown walking backstage on his way to the ring for the next match.

They showed a replay of how Edge intentionally got himself DQ'd in the main event elimination tag match last week, leading to tonight's singles match. If Edge loses tonight, he's out of the Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions.

The Great Khali vs. Edge

Cole talked about how Chris Jericho lost earlier, so he already lost his spot in the Six Pack Challenge, could Edge be next? Cole reviewed an email from the anonymous GM on his Blackberry, saying that next week Cena will face either Wade Barrett or Randy Orton depending who wins tonight's main event. Edge was surprised to see his opponent tonight was not Zack Ryder, but The Great Khali.

Edge went outside the ring and walked over to the laptop vowing to destroy it, however the Rated-R Superstar managed to stop himself after some orders from the ref. As soon as the bell rang, Edge rolled to the outside and began to mock Great Khali, walking like Frankenstein. He kept doing and eventually went over to grab Ranjin Singh. Khali came over and grabbed Edge by the hair. Edge eventually broke away, up the ramp. Khali got out of the ring and went after him on the ramp. He tried to swipe at Edge, but Edge avoided it and kicked Khali in the leg. Edge rushed back to get in the ring, beating the count, but Khali couldn't.

As Edge was raising his arms victorious, another email came through from the Raw GM. The Raw GM said he refused to acknowledge the cheap countout victory. The GM ordered the match to restart as a No DQ, Over-the-Top Rope Challenge. Raw went to commercial break.

Winner: Match was not acknowledged by Raw GM.

Great Khali vs. Edge
No DQ, Over the Top Rope Challenge

Edge went for a Spear late in the match, but Khali grabbed him for a Chokeslam. He threw Edge out through the middle ropes. Khali went to climb out, but Edge grabbed his leg and yanked Khali over the top rope by his leg to win it.

Winner: Edge wins the Over-the-Top-Rope Challenge to retain his spot at Night of Champions Six Pack Challenge WWE Title Match.

Cole and Lawler talked about The Undertaker versus Kane World Heavyweight Title match for Night of Champions, as well as the other matches including Daniel Bryan vs The Miz for the US Title. Also they mentioned the Six Pack Challenge which features Randy Orton, Edge, John Cena, Wade Barrett and Sheamus competing for the WWE Title.

Chris Jericho was seated backstage when Josh Matthews came up to interview him. Matthews reminded him of last week's statement that if he loses the Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions and doesn't become WWE Champion, he's out of WWE. Matthews said now that he's out of the challenge, what are his future plans. Jericho was silent, so Matthews thanked him for his time and left. Just then, John Morrison came in and sat next to him. He said "bad day huh? do you still think you're the best in the world at what you do?" Morrison said "don't worry things will get better...Do you understand the words that I'm saying to you right now?" Jericho turned and glared at Morrison for a moment, then turned back, looking dejected.

Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett

John Cena will face the winner of this match in next week's Raw main event. The WWE Champion Sheamus arrived out to watch the main event from ringside. Edge and John Cena also joined Sheamus on guest commentary. Cena said he'll be kicking of Raw Roulette next week by facing the winner of the Barrett-Orton match.

Orton started it off by bashing Barrett from corner to corner, then clotheslining him down. Barrett went to the outside, where Orton continued to attack him, eventually smashing him face first against the commentators table multiple times. Orton continued to dominate it, but Barrett eventually came back with a big boot kick to take The Viper down. Sheamus complained about the Six Pack Challenge rules during commentary.

Later in the match, Orton gained momentum, knocking Barrett down numerous times. With Barrett on the apron, Orton tried to set him up for the DDT through the middle ropes. Instead, Barrett blocked it and dumped Orton out of the ring. Just then, Darren Young showed up from backstage with a mic in hand. He asked Barrett if he thought they could kick him out of Nexus, beat him up and get away with it. Young said he's not the weakest link, he's the missing link. Young prepared to get in the ring, with Barrett daring him to. Meanwhile, Orton snuck into the ring behind Barrett, waited for him to turn then hit the RKO for the win.

After Orton won it, Young got into the ring to walk up to him. Orton looked at him, then quickly hit him with the RKO. Edge and Sheamus both tried to attack with their big moves, but Orton avoided the attacks and hit RKO's on both guys. Cena remained seated with Cole and Lawler, but finally stepped into the ring towards the end of Raw. He'll face Orton on next week's Raw. Cena and Orton stood in staredown position to close out the show.

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over Wade Barrett.

Raw Results 08/23/10

Raw Results from Los Angeles, CA:

The show opened with highlights of last week's matches involving individual members of The Nexus taking on members from Team WWE. Leader Wade Barrett said anyone from the group who lost would be exiled. Everyone won except for Darren Young in his main event match against John Cena. Young received a beatdown from Nexus at the end of Raw to signal his exile.

Justin Roberts introduced the WWE Champion Sheamus who came to the ring looking upset. Cole recapped what happened last week when Sheamus came to ringside to interrupt Orton's match against Nexus member Justin Gabriel. Things spilled outside the ring into the crowd. Eventually Orton smashed a chair on Sheamus multiple times and later RKO'd him.

Sheamus started up a tirade about how the children in the crowd are spoiled brats. He went out of the ring and pointed at several kids in the front rows calling them spoiled. Back in the ring, he said the biggest spoiled child in WWE is Randy Orton, and the fans all support his antics. The audience started up a R-K-O chant. Sheamus said in four weeks Night of Champions PPV happens, and he urges the Raw GM not to give in to Orton's demands.

As Sheamus was still ranting, an email came through, which Cole read. The GM said he feels Sheamus has found ways to defend his WWE title and should be rewarded. The GM said tonight he was going to do something unprecedented. He had two WWE staff bring a throne out. The GM said Sheamus could choose his next challenger, by watching a series of matches to see who impresses him most. Sheamus can choose his opponent by the end of the night for NOC PPV. Cole added that the first of the matches start now. Edge arrived out before a commercial break, passing Sheamus on the ramp as he went to the ring.

An ad aired for next Monday's 900th episode of Raw, starting at 9PM EST.

R-Truth vs. Edge

Edge was in ring with Sheamus seated up on the stage as R-Truth came out doing his rap entrance music.

Truth threw Edge with a hip toss, then did some showboating as Cole put it. Edge avoided a move and slammed Truth down to the mat. From there, Edge backed up preparing the Spear, but as he ran at Truth, Truth leapfrogged him. Truth came back with an attempted scissors kick but Edge avoided that, then came back with a short spear tackle for the pinfall win.

Edge got on the mic to address Sheamus, as he walked up the ramp saying until Sheamus beats a 9-time champion, the Rated-R Superstar, he hasn't beaten anybody.

Winner: Edge wins via pinfall over R-Truth.

Cole and Lawler said later tonight John Cena faces The Miz. They showed a brief behind-the-scenes of Dashing Cody Rhodes who will be guest starring on tomorrow night's "Warehouse 13" starting at 9PM EST on SyFy.

Raw returned with Cole and Lawler discussing WWE's debut in China this past weekend at the Shanghai Expo Center. Sheamus was still seated in the royal throne king's chair at the top of the ramp.

The Great Khali vs. Chris Jericho

Khali dominated early but later missed on a big leg drop, allowing Jericho to attack him on the mat. Jericho targeted Khali's leg to keep him down. Later on, Jericho went for a Codebreaker but Khali caught him and tossed him down. Khali kept knocking Jericho down then hit a scoop slam. Khali went for a short running kick, but Jericho moved from the corner and clipped Khali's leg to take him down. Jericho worked to try to get Khali on his stomach, and did. Khali tried to withstand the Walls of Jericho but finally gave in and tapped out.

Jericho got on the mic just like Edge after the match, and talked about how Jericho was the first undisputed champion in the history of WWE. Jericho said Edge didn't make a giant tap out tonight and he's not the best in the world at what he does, Chris Jericho is. Jericho was up on the corner with the mic looking out at Sheamus. Khali stood up and walked over to chop Jericho down off. Jericho fell to the outside floor.

Winner: Chris Jericho wins via submission over The Great Khali.

Josh Matthews interviewed John cena backstage about what happened last week with The Miz on Raw. Cena said he doesn't regret choosing Daniel Bryan for Summerslam, and Miz almost cost Team WWE the win. Cena said ever since Miz won MITB he's got a bigger mouth and attitude problem. Cena said tonight he shuts him up with the Attitude Adjustment.

Jillian vs Melina
WWE Divas Championship

Jillian was in the ring talking about how she was divas champion before and will do it again. She started singing "Not Afraid" chorus by Eminem/Rihanna, until Melina's theme music came on to cut her off.

Jillian whipped Melina to the corner and charged but Melina tried to come back at her. Instead, Jillian took down Melina to the mat. In the closing moments, Jillian went up on the corner and let out a singing note, but missed on her high risk move. As Jillian got up hunched over, Melina hopped on her back, let out her primal scream and hit the Last Call Sunset Flip pinfall.

As Melina was celebrating in the ring, Team LayCool came up on the big screen. Michelle said she didn't feel bad about them attacking Melina at Summerslam. They said on next week's 900th episode of Raw they'll make an offer Melina won't be able to refuse.

Winner: Melina wins via pinfall over Jillian to retain the Divas Championship.

Josh Matthews interviewed The Miz backstage in the locker room. He told Miz about what Cena had said in the earlier interview. Miz questioned who has ego, saying he could have cashed in his MITB at Summerslam on Sheamus but instead was preparing for the Team WWE match. He said Cena made a big mistake in choosing Bryan Daniel over him for the team. Later tonight Miz said he will beat Cena and give him consequences for his actions. He said it doesn't matter about Sheamus choosing him or not for Night of Champions, because he can cash in whenever he wants, maybe even tonight.

Sheamus was still seated in his throne up on the ramp, as The Nexus arrived out onto the stage with him. Sheamus had a mic and asked to what he owes this honor. Just then the email sound chimed so Cole interrupted. He read the note saying the Raw GM requested Nexus to come out because he was impressed with their performance last week. He said the ban on Nexus members competing for titles has now been lifted. Barrett walked over to Sheamus who stood up and told him "consider our truce over." Barrett and crew walked backstage leaving Sheamus stunned at the latest announcement.

They showed a splitscreen backstage of Miz and Cena both on their way to the ring for the next match.

WWE Slam of the Week came from last week's Daniel Bryan vs Michael Tarver match where The Miz and Alex Riley came to interfere. Riley and Miz beat down Bryan post-match, including The Miz hitting a Skullcrushing Finale face first onto the MITB case.

John Cena vs. The Miz

Miz arrived to the ring first showing off his red briefcase to Sheamus up on stage before heading to the ring. Cena was out next and ignored Sheamus completely then smirked at him from the ring.

Cena had the STF on Miz at one point, but Miz managed to get to the bottom rope to break it. At one spot, Miz went for Skullcrushing Finale, with Cena blocking it. After ten minutes of great action, Miz was on the apron. Cena went to strike but Miz dropped to the floor. All of a sudden, Daniel Bryan rushed to ringside to get revenge, clotheslining Miz to the ground. The ref called for the bell for a DQ. Bryan got into the ring and put his Crossface submission on Miz making him tap the mat.

Winner: The Miz wins due to disqualification over John Cena.

Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. The Usos

Tamina escorted Jimmy and Jey to the ring for the tag match. The match lasted just three minutes, with The Usos trying to keep Santino away from Kozlov and wear him down. Santino finally got a tag to Kozlov behind the crowd's energy. Kozlov came in to take care of business, eventually finishing off Jey Uso with his Iron Curtain move.

After the match, Santino was down on the outside near Tamina. Jimmy Uso prepared to attack Santino, but Tamina got in his path to prevent it, telling him the match was over. Jimmy was upset but they left the area. Tamina turned back to look at Santino, blowing him a kiss like a blowdart. Santino pretended to catch it on his right cheek. Dr. Kozlov came out ringside to check on his tag partner's condition as Santino said "I think she likes me."

Winners: Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov win via pinfall over The Usos.

This week in WWE history was August 28, 1986 the dawn of a new era in sports entertainment. Toronto, Canada hosted The Big Event at the C&E Stadium. Jake the Snake, Bobby Heenan, Hulk Hogan, Paul Orndorff and Junkyard Dog were all in action. The year after that was Wrestlemania III, which started a chain of record-breaking events going on through Wrestlemania 26. The narrator said all of the latest PPV's owe their record-breaking success to "The Big Event".

Cole said there's one final match up next with Orton, Morrison and Dibiase in a Triple Threat match with Sheamus watching to decide his possible NOC opponent.

Dibiase came to the ring with Maryse, followed by John Morrison and finally The Viper, Randy Orton. As Orton got onto the stage he turned and looked at Sheamus, prompting the champ to get on his feet and stare him down as well. Raw took a commercial break before the Triple Threat match.

Randy Orton vs. John Morrison vs. Ted Dibiase

During the main event match, Orton gained control of Dibiase preparing him for the DDT from the middle rope. Morrison came in and tried for his springboard kick off the side ropes. Orton ducked it and Morrison rolled to the outside. Orton completed the DDT then got down to start preparing for his RKO, pounding the mat.

Dibiase got to his feet and Orton went for the RKO just as Morrison rolled back into the ring. Dibiase shoved Orton away and Morrison hit a spinning kick to take down Orton. He charged at Dibiase, who dropped down and pulled the top rope, causing Morrison to spill outside. Dibiase went over and waited for Orton to stand then tried for Dream Street. Orton wobbled around but then threw Dibiase with his weight. Ted rolled out of the ring.

Just then, Morrison tried to jump off the corner at Orton, but Orton saw it, and got him with the RKO mid-air. Orton hooked the leg and grabbed the pinfall victory. Dibiase got in to try for an attack, but Orton turned and hit the RKO on him too, leaving his two opponents flat on the mat, post-match.

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over John Morrison to win the Triple Threat match.

Orton went up the ramp where Sheamus had walked backstage leaving the throne empty. Josh Matthews asked Sheamus why he left the scene as Orton won the match. Sheamus said he's made up his mind who he wants to face and in just a few minutes will go announce it in the ring. Raw hit a commercial break.

A Smackdown commercial aired. On Friday night Kofi Kingston battles Dolph Ziggler for the IC title again, and Rey Mysterio takes on Kane. Also, The Undertaker rises again and returns to Smackdown.

Sheamus was in the ring and had his decision made. He got on the mic saying he had been thinking about it for a while. Sheamus said despite what happened to him last week, he's still a warrior, The Celtic Warrior. Sheamus said he's not going to wait until Night of Champions to defend his title, he said he wants to defend it right now. He asked for a referee and one came into the ring.

Sheamus said he became WWE Champion because of opportunity, and despite what he's seen tonight, he decided to go left field. Sheamus said he decided to make a new #1 Contender, a superstar who's never had a championship match before. Sheamus said his next opponent is Zack Ryder.

Ryder came out with a mic and told Sheamus he just made the biggest mistake of his life, because everyone knows they're looking at the next WWE Champion.

Zack Ryder vs. Sheamus
WWE Championship Match

As soon as the bell rang, Sheamus charged at Ryder and gave him the running boot kick to level him. Sheamus quickly made the pinfall cover to win it.

Winner: Sheamus wins via pinfall over Zack Ryder to retain the WWE Title.

Sheamus took the mic and said there you have another successful championship defense for The Celtic Warrior. Sheamus said now he doesn't have to defend his title for another 30 days, so he'll take a night off at Night of Champions. Sheamus said he may even take the whole month off now and go back to visit Ireland. Just then, The Nexus theme music came on and Wade Barrett arrived solo to the ring to confront the champ.

Wade Barrett told Sheamus he was the winner of Season 1 for NXT, so that means he gets a title opportunity at the PPV of his choice. Wade Barrett said he's choosing to take his title match against Sheamus at Night of Champions. Sheamus screamed at Barrett about it. Just then, the email sound chimed again and Cole got up for another reading.

The GM's email confirmed that the GM has upheld Wade Barrett's request. The GM said that Sheamus will defend the title against Wade Barrett. The GM's email continued saying he believes in what Sheamus talked of earlier - opportunity. Due to that, the GM has decided that Sheamus will defend against four other WWE stars as well, in a "Six Pack Challenge." Each of the other opponents was introduced and came to the ring to join the others. Also in the title match at NOC will be Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, Edge and John Cena.

Once all six guys were assembled in the ring it got interesting as the veteran WWE stars all surrounded Wade Barrett. Barrett tried to plead his case and point out Sheamus to the others, but Sheamus was in on it. Finally, Cena kicked Barrett in the gut and everyone began the beatdown on Nexus' leader. Eventually, Sheamus picked him up to throw out of the ring to the floor.

As Sheamus turned around, he was the recipient of a Codebreaker from Jericho. Edge set up and Speared Jericho down next. Cena tapped Edge then put him up and hit Attitude Adjusment. The finishing move showdown was completed as Orton hit the RKO to take down Cena. Orton got revved up as did the crowd. The show closed with Orton posing on the corner.

Raw Results 07/19/10

Raw Results from Tulsa, OK:

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler opened the show after an exciting Money in the Bank 2010 went down last night. They showed a still image from MITB PPV's steel cage match with Cena and Sheamus climbing the cage. Sheamus won to retain the WWE Title. On tonight's show, Wade Barrett takes on Mark Henry. According to Raw's anonymous GM, Nexus won't be allowed at ringside for the match.

Randy Orton vs. Edge vs. Chris Jericho
#1 Contender Match for WWE Title shot

The first match of the night pitted Edge, Orton and Jericho in a Triple Threat to determine the new #1 contender for the WWE Championship.

Late in this one, Orton nearly hit the RKO on Jericho. Jericho blocked it and then went for the Lionsault, but Orton moved away. Orton began pounding the mat and getting riled up before finally hitting the RKO. Edge came in and went for a Spear, but Orton caught him with an RKO as well. He took the winning pinfall on Edge to become #1 Contender.

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over Edge to become #1 Contender for WWE Championship.

Jericho and Edge got into it after the match. Jericho grabbed a mic from ringside to yell at Edge. Jericho said Nexus credits him for getting them to the level of success they've achieved. Jericho told Edge this thing between them will end tonight. Edge retorted that he doubts Nexus would like hearing that Jericho thinks he's responsible for all their success.

The comments brought the Nexus members down to the ring. With a mic in hand, Barrett spoke. He said Nexus would be glad to have either one of them as allies. They surrounded Edge and said Nexus wouldn't take years off his career, they'd end it. Nexus began to attack Edge stomping him down to the mat with Jericho yelling instructions and yelling at Edge. They stood up Edge so Skip Sheffield could deliver a Spear to take him down. Jericho yelled at Edge then put him into the Walls of Jericho for more punishment.

Nexus stood around staring at Jericho next. Jericho got a look of concern on his face and released the submission. Wade told Jericho that Edge was also right. He said they really want to shut up the guy claiming he's behind their success. Jericho went after Barrett for a bit, but the other guys took Jericho down. Barrett started to pound away on him. They stood Jericho up so Barrett could punch him down. From there, Otunga delivered his one arm slam to the mat. Barrett stood over his former pro mentor from NXT. Wade yelled in his face "you didn't teach me a thing."

After Cole and Lawler reviewed a replay of Nexus' beatdowns on Jericho and Edge, the group was shown walking into their locker room backstage. Josh Matthews rushed up to Barrett as the others had gone into the locker room. Matthews said Nexus is the most powerful group in the history of the WWE, but asked if Barrett's uneasy with the comments people are making that none of them alone can match up with Mark Henry. Barrett angrily said that he's going to write a new chapter in the history of WWE and it won't look good for Henry. Matthews thanked him and left the scene. Sheamus came up to interrupt Barrett, saying he had a proposal he thinks he might be interested in. Barrett smirked and suggested Sheamus step into his office, the WWE locker room. Sheamus said he'd prefer it outside. Barrett told him to suit himself and went into the locker room.

Cole and Lawler talked to John Cena who was backstage in the locker room with a visible scar up near his right eye. Cena said he brought everything with Nexus upon himself when he didn't shake Barrett's hand to end things. Cena said he didn't do it because he thought he could stop Nexus. Cena said nobody can stop them. He said they're attacking everyone because they can. Cena said tonight he wants to meet with Wade Barrett and Nexus in the ring to say something. Lawler asked why. Cena said Nexus has made his life hell. He said Barrett stated "you're either Nexus or against us". Cena said he's saying "if you can't beat em..." and then walked off camera.

When Raw returned Cole and Lawler still were in disbelief over what Cena had just commented. They replayed the end of his backstage interview.

Eve vs. Maryse

Maryse was escorted to the ring by Ted Dibiase who joined the commentators at ringside. Dibiase talked about how lucky he is including the fact he dates the hottest diva in WWE history. He said if Maryse wins tonight she becomes #1 contender for Divas title too.

Maryse had control of things as she punched Eve in the face repeatedly. She whipped Eve to the corner but as Maryse charged, Eve elbowed her. Eve came back with a high kick to Maryse's face, then took a pinfall. The ref counted and as he got to 2, Maryse got a foot on the bottom rope. The ref missed it and awarded Eve the win.

Dibiase rushed in to yell at the ref that Maryse had a foot on the rope. Eve escaped the ring looking worried, as Dibiase kept complaining. John Morrison rushed to the ring to attack Dibiase. He tackled him down to pound away, then came back with a hard kick to the head. From there Morrison hit Starship Pain off the corner to complete the attack.

Winner: Eve wins via pinfall over Maryse to become #1 Contender for Divas title.

Sheamus was shown walking backstage carrying the WWE Title on his shoulder.

Justin Roberts introduced the WWE Champion Sheamus. He spoke about beating Cena in a Tables match, Fatal Fourway and Steel Cage. Sheamus said the only way to describe his performances against Cena is "dominance". Sheamus said there won't be any more championship shots for Cena any time soon. Sheamus said earlier he walked up to Wade Barrett and demanded a truce. He said a year ago no one had heard of Wade Barrett or Sheamus, but now they're the two most powerful entities in WWE. He said they agreed to stay out of each other's business. Sheamus said Orton has no chance to beat him since Nexus won't interfere in his matches. Sheamus vowed to become the longest reigning WWE champion of all time.

Suddenly, the Raw Money in the Bank winner came down to the ring, The Miz. The Miz told Sheamus he doesn't have a Nexus problem, but he does have a Miz problem. Miz said he controls the fate of the WWE championship, so he can cash it in anytime he wants for a WWE title match. He told Sheamus every time he's in the ring, Miz will be watching him. Miz gave Sheamus several possible scenarios of how he could cash in for the title. He told Sheamus he's going to be watching him like a celebrity stalker. Miz went to do his "I'm the Miz" line but Sheamus butted in saying "you're nothing, I'm Sheamus and I'm WWE Champion!" Sheamus exited the ring, but just then the lights flashed and the Raw GM email sound beeped.

Cole got up to read the latest anonymous GM email. Cole read that if the Miz wants to cash the MITB tonight, he should take a ringside seat to watch the next match. The GM said Sheamus would be in action against this man. Evan Bourne's theme came on, and a ref rushed to the ring for the match.

Evan Bourne vs. Sheamus

The Miz remained at ringside to watch Bourne vs Sheamus. After several moments, Bourne came out with his tape in hand and wrapped his wrists. Early on, Bourne ducked a pump boot kick from Sheamus then came back kicking at him. He was able to kick Sheamus down causing Sheamus to go to the outside. Raw went to commercial.

Sheamus was in command in the ring after break. Bourne tried to get momentum as he ran against the ropes, but Sheamus grabbed him spun him around and delivered a hard side slam to the mat. Bourne barely kicked out of a pinfall attempt. Sheamus locked on a side headlock, but Bourne powered to his feet. He started using his quick strikes, but Sheamus tossed him to the corner. Bourne answered Sheamus' slap with a hard kick. He gained momentum after ducking Sheamus' clothesline then kicked Sheamus down.

Bourne climbed the corner for Air Bourne with Miz watching intently. However, Sheamus rolled out of the ring to escape from the move. Bourne jumped off the corner to take out Sheamus on the outside. Both men were layed out on the outside with the ref counting them out. Sheamus and Bourne were up, with Sheamus shoving Bourne into the camera outside the ring. Sheamus got back in as the ref resumed a countout on Bourne. As Sheamus tried to go after Bourne on the apron, the ref held him back. However, Sheamus still got a cheap shot kick into Bourne's gut as he was climbing in throug the ropes. From there it was the pump kick to the head taking Bourne down for the pin. The Miz gave a mocking round of applause from his ringside seat.

Winner: Sheamus wins via pinfall over Evan Bourne.

The Miz came into the ring and bashed Sheamus down with the MITB briefcase several times. With Sheamus down on the mat from the blows, Miz contemplated cashing in as he looked at the briefcase. As Sheamus was getting to his feet, Miz grabbed him in the stance for Skullcrushing Finale. He struggled with Sheamus a bit but got in front of the briefcase then slamed him face first into the case. Sheamus was out cold on the mat. Miz grabbed the briefcase and told the ref to cash it in. The ref instructed Justin Roberts to make the announcement.

Fans were going wild as Miz prepared to go for the pin, but the ref had to make sure Sheamus was conscious before the bell could ring. Suddenly, R-Truth's music came on and Truth returned to Raw. Miz told the ref to call it off. He rushed out of the ring and grabbed the briefcase. He tried to clock Truth with it, but Truth ducked. Miz fought off Truth, then barely escaped up the ramp and ran backstage with the MITB case. In the ring Sheamus staggered trying to get to his feet. Cole noted that the bell never rang so Miz never officially cashed in.

Josh Matthews interviewed The Miz backstage about what just happened. Miz was furious over what Truth just did to interrupt his chance at being WWE Champion. Miz said he's got an entire year to cash in on the contract and become WWE Champion. He said he will take his rightful place as a WWE Champion.

Cole and Lawler reviewed a Summerslam Recall match from the 1998 edition involving The Undertaker versus Stone Cold Steve Austin. Despite Undertaker taking control, Austin got a cheap crotch shot in as Taker went Old School. After the Stunner, Austin pinned Taker to retain the belt.

Sheamus was walking backstage with a bag of ice on his head as a trainer and a ref helped him. They passed by Gail Kim and The Bella Twins laughing. Sheamus barked at them "You think this is funny?" He kept walking and Orton came up to him. Orton warned Sheamus saying he's a target now with the WWE title. Orton said he won't hit it with an arrow, spear or bullet, but he'll hit it with the R K O.

Cena was shown backstage thinking things over for later tonight.

Vladimir Kozlov & Santino Marella vs. Zack Ryder & William Regal

During the match, Santino managed to escape from Ryder by kicking him away. Kozlov tagged in and started to take him out. He was ready to finish off Ryder but Regal tried to distract. Kozlov took Regal out, causing him to roll out of the ring. Ryder tried to rush Kozlov and hit the Rough Ryder, but got slammed down with his one arm slam finisher. Santino was jumping up and down on the apron begging for the tag, so Kozlov obliged. Santino ran against the ropes and hit a Cobra fist drop on Ryder then collected the pinfall.

Winners: Vladimir Kozlov & Santino Marella win via pinfall over William Regal & Zack Ryder.

Nexus was shown backstage with Wade Barrett giving the group a speech before walking off on his way to the next match.

vs.

Mark Henry vs. Wade Barrett

Barrett stepped out of the ring after the bell to avoid Henry coming at him. He got back in cautiously to try to punch Henry, but got punched down. Wade rolled out to recover. Barrett got into the ring and came at Henry with a knee to the gut. He kept pounding away for a bit, until Henry withstood the strikes. Henry came back and whipped Barrett corner to corner, then leveled him. He went for the pin with Wade kicking out.

Barrett cut Henry down to size with kicks to the knee. Henry responded with a scoop powerslam and a near fall. Henry pulled Barrett towards the corner. From there, Henry climbed onto the corner. The Nexus members emerged from backstage but stayed at the top of the ramp. Henry was distracted, and Barrett delivered some kicks to the gut and head. With Henry seated on the corner, Barrett got him on his shoulders for his finisher and barely slammed Henry to the mat to get the pin.

Winner: Wade Barrett wins via pinfall over Mark Henry.

The Nexus members joined Barrett in the ring after he kicked Mark Henry out. Barrett got on the mic to call out Cena since he wanted a meeting with Nexus. They waited for the champ as Cole and Lawler looked at highlights of the win. The Nexus theme song started up, as they showed John Cena walking backstage. Lawler said it seems Cena is headed to the ring next.

Nexus was still in the ring with their song playing as Raw returned. The commentators reviewed Barrett's victory over Mark Henry one more time.

Michael Tarver got on the mic now, saying they already made one truce tonight. He said Nexus will at least hear him out, if he acknowledges that Nexus runs Raw. Tarver said if Cena continues to give resistance, they'll make his remaining career and life miserable. Tarver asked Cena to come out and show remorse for his actions against Nexus. Tarver said they might consider ending things if Cena agrees to show remorse.

Cena's music hit and he arrived to the ring. Cena had a mic and thanked them for meeting him out there. Cena discussed that he's not part of Nexus' bigger picture, so he's not sure why they interfered in his title matches. He said Sheamus made a truce earlier with them, and he should have done the same a while ago. Cena said he's out now looking at them each man-to-man asking for the same thing.

Barrett said their answer is no. He said he's not looking for peace, but something much bigger. The crowd began chanting for Cena, but Barrett said to ignore them. Barrett said he wants Cena to join The Nexus and he can achieve much much more. He told Cena the decision is now his. Cena contemplated, but then said he can't do it. Barrett told Cena that leaves him with two options. One is to leave the ring with his tail between his legs to show how much a coward he is. Barrett said instead he can stay in the ring and get the most vicious beating Nexus has ever administered.

Cena put down the mic and exited the ring, walking up the ramp. Barrett and Nexus started laughing as they pointed at him. Cena stopped up the ramp and turned back. He told Barrett what he's told him before "Whether it's by myself or I have help, I will take each and every one of you down." Cena said tonight he's got help. He said ever since Nexus arrived and started beating people up, he's been forming a team to take down Nexus at Summerslam. Cena said it's time to meet his team, because at Summerslam The Nexus is history.

Edge arrived out first and stood next to Cena on the ramp. Next out was John Morrison, followed by R-Truth and then The Great Khali. Chris Jericho was the sixth member of Cena's Summerslam team to arrive out to the ramp. Lawler called it an All-star team. Everyone paused as the seventh member was introduced - Bret "The Hitman" Hart's music hit and out came The Hitman to the roar of the crowd. They all stood side-by-side, then rushed to the ring chasing Nexus out. Nexus fled through the crowd as Cena's team remained in the ring to close out Raw.

Raw Preview 07/19/10

With the conclusion of the 2010 Money in the Bank PPV (results), John Cena once again finds himself frustrated by The Nexus. The anti-establishment faction made sure to arrive for the main event cage match, and eventually cost Cena a title win. Sheamus escaped the cage, but only after fighting off Nexus members who also scaled the cage. Cena had to fight as well, but it was Sheamus who hit the floor first. The Celtic Warrior quickly high-tailed it out of the arena with his championship belt. Cena took out his anger on several Nexus members to send his message loud and clear: "Nexus is going down, one-by-one". What will Cena have to say regarding The Nexus on tonight's Raw? Will the anonymous GM set up another match?

Also at Money in the Bank, we saw the current United States Champion emerge victorious in the MITB Ladder match. The Miz was able to shove Randy Orton off the ladder at the last moment to yank down the briefcase. Miz boasted about his victory to the crowd from on top of the ladder. Now, the Miz will need to find the best opportunity to cash in. The Miz formerly declared he'd be the first ever United States and WWE Champion in WWE history. Will The Miz be able to make good on that claim? How long before The Miz cashes in his opportunity?

The anonymity of the Raw General Manager also continues. For weeks now, commentator Michael Cole has been reading emails he receives at a podium. These emails have given wrestlers instructions, ultimatums and even set up title matches. However, the Raw GM has been out of the spotlight. There's been potential clues given in the GM's emails with many speculating on who it might be. Will the WWE Universe find out the GM's identity on tonight's show?

Catch WWE Raw tonight at 9PM EST on USA!

Raw Revelations: The Nexus vs Cena & Sheamus!

This past week's episode of Raw saw the return of a special guest host as well as John Cena taking on The Nexus in a handicap match. We also learned of the final 8th man for the Raw Money in the Bank PPV ladder match.

The Nexus storyline once again dominated Raw, and then again on Tuesday's NXT. Barrett and his five cronies (Darren Young was injured from Cena's beatdown) took to beating up anyone who helped out Cena last week. That included Yoshi Tatsu, Evan Bourne and John Morrison. Each of them got beatdowns backstage, and The Celtic Warrior Sheamus nearly did. However, he had a change of heart and rushed to find Cena.

Special guest host was Mrs. Carol Brady - Florence Henderson. I don't recall them announcing it on the week prior, but I'm wondering if they're just going to keep the idea going indefinitely and use a celeb whenever. She did an alright job as host, but the Brady Bunch tag match made WWE Raw look like Ringling Brothers. It had Goldust, Khali and even a return for Doink the Clown (Steve Lombardi - The Brooklyn Brawler played him). All that was missing was Hornswoggle. Santino's Bunch won the match and then Raw went for another made-for-TV-highlights moment with Khali and Flo Henderson kissing.

We learned of the eighth participant in the MITB Ladder match. Mark Henry will replace R-Truth who was injured by Miz. Miz tried to injur and humiliate Henry, smashing a plastic trash can on him and dumping trash on Henry. However on the next night's NXT, Henry repayed the favor. Unfortunately, he got Miz's rookie Alex Riley rather than his intended target. We'll probably see these two feud a bit until R-Truth comes back to go against The Miz.

The majority of the rest of Raw was dedicated to promotion of Sunday's MITB PPV. The Edge versus Orton match was outstanding, despite a ruined finish by Jericho. It even included an Air Bourne turned into Orton's RKO. The fans in the arena seemed to appreciate the finish post-match.

The grand finale was Ceka taking on the six guys from Nexus. The GM ordered that nobody could help Cena out or they'd get a 90-day-suspension. Same went for Nexus if they didn't respect the rules of tag-in and tag-out. Both sides respected those rules, and in the end the numbers were too many for Cena to overcome this time. He ended up getting clotheslined down, slammed down and then hit with the 450 Splash from Justin Gabriel for the pin. However, when Nexus attempted for further punishment post-match, Cena grabbed a steel chair and got in the ring swinging. He was soon joined by a surprise ally: Sheamus! Of course that makes things interesting heading into the big PPV cage match Sunday.

People are speculating still as to who the Raw GM might be. Two good guesses right now are either Abraham Washington or wait for it - Eugene. I highly doubt the latter guess, but it'd make things really interesting!

In other news, John Morrison is on the new Muscle & Fitness magazine's cover. The mag includes a feature article on how Morrison prepares for his grueling WWE matches including the ladder matches. If you're a fan of his, or want to try to attempt his intense workouts to get six pack abs, check it out.

Sunday is of course Money in the Bank. My early picks to win the two ladder matches are Drew McIntyre from Smackdown and Randy Orton from Raw. I was thinking they'd leave that final Raw spot a mystery and bring in HHH as a surprise Sunday. There's still a chance I suppose, but there's been talk that HHH is still rehabbing.

Stay tuned for Friday's Smackdown for more revelations as we head into the big Money in the Bank PPV!

Raw Results 07/12/10

Raw Results from Lexington, KY:

Raw opened with highlights of the various attacks Cena has suffered from The Nexus as well as last week's ordered truce between John Cena and Wade Barrett in the ring. Cena refused to shake and went for Attitude Adjustment. He ended up attacked by Nexus. The Raw locker room rushed out to chase them off, but Darren Young was left in the ring. Cena slapped the STF on him to send a message. The anonymous Raw GM sent an email to let Cena know he'd be in a 7-on-1 handicap match against Nexus on Raw tonight. Cena continued beating up on Darren Young after he learned his fate.

Jerry Lawler announced that due to the beatdown Cena gave Darren Young last week, he won't be present for tonight's handicap match. Instead it will be a 6-on-1. John Cena came out to start the show off. Cena talked about how Sheamus wasn't one of the guys to come help him out last week, but that's ok because he'll wake up without the WWE Title next Monday. Cena talked up the upcoming Steel Cage match for the PPV. Cena told Sheamus he won't have anywhere to run in a steel cage, and nobody can interfere. Next, Cena talked about how he'll take out Nexus one-by-one. That brought them out to the stage wearing T-shirts with yellow squares and black N's.

Wade Barrett spoke telling Cena he brought this all on himself by being hotheaded. Wade said Nexus stands for a much bigger picture and told Cena he disrespected the GM. As Cena was responding the email sound signaled and Michael Cole interrupted. The Raw GM's email said if any WWE Superstars intervene in Cena's match tonight they get a 90-day suspension. It also said that Nexus members must legally tag in and out of the match. If not then they get suspended 90 days. Barrett told Cena they'll play by the rules but he'll be all alone tonight. Cena said to Wade he might take him down tonight but Cena's taking some of them down too.

Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox

Eve Torres joined Lawler and Cole on commentary. They showed a replay of how Alicia Fox faked a leg injury in last week's Divas title match, then kneed Eve in the face before hitting a scissors kick to win.

Gail had control after whipping Alicia to the corner. However, when Gail climbed up on the corner, Alicia knocked her off balance. Back in the ring, Gail tried for her finisher. Alicia yanked Gail's leg causing her to fall into a split on the mat. From there, Alicia ran and hit the scissors kick on the back of Gail then pinned her.

She kept gloating with the Divas belt to taunt Eve, who finally got up. Then an email came in from Raw's GM. The GM said due to Alicia faking her injury last week, Eve will get another title shot at Money in the Bank.

Winner: Alicia Fox wins by pinfall over Gail Kim.

The Hart Dynasty & Natalya vs. The Usos & Tamina

The Usos will get their first title shot at Sunday's Money in the Bank PPV. In the match, the Usos had the advantage until Kidd got away from them in the corner. DH Smith came in and delivered a double clothesline on both Usos. He had a pinfall but Tamina rushed in to yank his leg. Smith stared her down and Natalya came in to take out Tamina to the outside.

Smith thought he had the advantage, shoving one Uso to the ropes. The other Uso tagged in and was able to kick Smith in the face as he had a rollup pinfall. From there the legal Uso did a Snuka style splash from the corner for the win.

Winner: The Usos win via pinfall over The Hart Dynasty.

Backstage, Wade Barrett thanked Chris Jericho for all he taught him at NXT. Jericho told Barrett he's doing exactly what he taught him to now. They shook hands and Jericho started to walk off. Josh Matthews rushed up to him but Jericho said "No comment."

The camera panned over to Wade Barrett in Yoshi Tatsu's face. He said they'd see how tough Yoshi is now all by himself after playing the role of hero last week. Yoshi spit out "John Cena is my friend" so he got a beatdown from David Otunga and Michael Tarver. Tarver got down in his face as Yoshi rolled around groaning in pain.

When Raw returned, Lawler thanked I Fight Dragons for the Money in the Bank theme song. I Fight Dragons was shown seated in the front row at Raw in KY.

Ted Dibiase came out to the ring with Maryse on his arm. They showed how Maryse helped Dibiase win the match last week against John Morrison by stealing his coat from ringside and going on the apron. Dibiase spoke on the mic and called he and Maryse the Million Dollar Couple, the most powerful couple in the WWE. Dibiase said he's referring to himself and the briefcase hanging above the ring. Maryse pulled away from him angrily. Dibiase said when he wins the briefcase he'll shower her with gifts, and he'll win the WWE Championship. John Morrison's music came on to interrupt.

Morrison said not to worry about showering Maryse with gifts, because the French don't shower. Maryse started going off in French so Morrison translated by making stuff up about what she said. Morrison tried to slap Morrison but he grabbed her arm. Dibiase intervened to beat up on Morrison, stomping him down. Dibiase told Morrison to get up, and as he did Morrison regained control. He started pounding on Dibiase near the corner, then jumped up and went for Starship Pain. Maryse quickly pulled Dibiase out of harm's way.

Raw returned with a Brady Bunch spoof theme video except it had Santino and the song was about him assembling his team of three partners: Vladimir Kozlov, Great Khali and Goldust. On the other side was Regal who assembled his team of Zack Ryder, Primo and Doink the Clown. The song said it was "Santino's Bunch vs Regal's Bunch" with Florence Henderson as host.

The camera cut backstage where Florence Henderson had a pie in hand. Santino walked in and she gave him the pie. Santino thanked her and said it's always about Regal - Regal, Regal, Regal! Flo said she's excited to host Raw, but asked if Santino's team is ready. Everytime Santino said a line, a laugh track went off. Regal came in and made a joke asking if the new GM is Gilligan. There was no laugh track. Flo Henderson told Regal he gets no laughs because he's not funny. Regal made a remark saying if he wanted family advice he'll ask the Partridge Family. Henderson slapped him in the face, so Regal stormed off. Santino said he really liked that and went in for a kiss, but got denied.

Cole and Lawler talked about Sunday's PPV and said R-Truth won't be able to compete, but his replacement will be named tonight. They cut to some highlight videos from 2005 when Edge won the first ever Money in the Bank Ladder match. Edge cashed in 10 months later on champion John Cena after the Elimination Chamber match.

They showed Edge walking backstage on the way out to the ring for the next match.

Randy Orton vs. Edge

They showed highlights from the Edge and Jericho tag match a week ago against Orton and Bourne. Edge speared down Jericho, then left the ring allowing Bourne to hit Air Bourne for the win. Afterwords, Orton hit the RKO on his partner to show it's every man for himself at MITB.

Edge gained control late in the match. Orton had him ready for the DDT from the middle rope. Edge escaped though and planted Orton face first into the mat for a near fall. Orton barely kicked out, so Edge retreated to the corner to get ready for a Spear. As Orton got up and turned around, Edge charged but got kicked hard by Orton instead. Orton dropped down to pound the match and prepared for the RKO. As he went for it, Edge shoved him to the corner then charged for the Spear. Orton leapfrogged him then tried a rollup pin with Edge kicking out.

Orton hit a backbreaker on Edge and waited for him to get back up. Chris Jericho came down to the bottom of the ramp causing a distraction for Orton. Edge was able to slam him down backwards and grabbed Orton's legs to secure a pin.

Chris Jericho got in the ring pretending to admire Orton flat on the mat. As Edge walked over, Jericho grabbed him and hit Codebreaker. Suddenly, Orton sprang up off the mat and RKO'd Jericho down to the mat. Just then, Evan Bourne rushed to the ring. He ducked an Orton clothesline then kicked him down. With Orton halfway across the ring, Bourne went for Air Bourne. Orton was able to get up and hit the RKO on him from mid air.

Winner: Edge wins via pinfall over Randy Orton.

Backstage, Josh Matthews caught up with Skip Sheffield to ask if the Nexus planned to cause trouble on NXT tomorrow night. Sheffield brushed the question off. As he walked off, John Morrison bumped into him. Sheffield got in his face asking Morrison if he thinks he's some kind of hero after last week. From there, Sheffield and the other Nexus guys gave Morrison a beatdown, tossing him around backstage.

The Miz arrived to the ring and said everyone's talking about how they'll win Money in the Bank ladder match, but talk is cheap. He had footage shown of how he injured R-Truth on last week's show, taking him out of MITB. Miz bragged about how his actions speak for themselves. He said what he'll do with a ladder on Sunday will outdo what he did to R-Truth last week. An email came through from the Raw GM to interrupt Miz's catch phrase. Michael Cole said the GM said The Miz will now compete against R-Truth's replacement. He said just when you think you've got the answers, I change the questions. Mark Henry was introduced as Miz's opponent and R-Truth's replacement.

Mark Henry vs. The Miz

Miz went for the early strike, but Henry grabbed his hand and headbutted Miz down. He pressed Miz overhead and let him fall to the mat. Miz rolled out of the ring where Henry went after him. Henry tried to charge at Miz but Miz was in front of the podium where Michael Cole reads emails from the Raw GM. Henry rushed into it head first and fell to the floor. Miz smashed a bunch of plastic trash cans and storage bins on Henry, then dumped trash on him.

Henry began to stand up near the commentators' table with Miz watching from the other side of the ring.

Winner: No contest, no winner announced for match.

Florence Henderson the special guest host came out to the ring to the Brady Bunch theme song. Flo introduced her "Brady Bunch tag team match". It was the Santino Bunch versus the Regal Bunch in an eight man tag.

Santino Marella, Vladimir Kozlov, The Great Khali & Goldust vs. William Regal, Zack Ryder, Primo & Doink the Clown

Regal got the early advantage on Santino. Outside the ring, Florence was trying on Regal's robe. The distraction allowed Santino to hit his Cobra punch on Regal. Santino had a pin but all the other wrestlers got involved. Most were cleared out, except for Doink and Santino. Doink whipped Santino to the ropes, but Santino held the ropes then punched Doink down. He tagged in Khali.

Doink tried some tricks like stepping on Khali's foot and tried to bodyslam him. He got out a mini squirt gun to squirt water in Khali's eyes. Khali chopped him down then took the winning pinfall.

Florence Henderson got in the ring to announce the winners of the match. Santino tried to get a smooch with Flo, but she ducked under his arms then went up to Khali. Khali and Florence had a peck on the lips, then Khali picked her up for a bigger kiss.

Winners: The Santino Bunch wins via pinfall over The Regal Bunch.

Josh Matthews interviewed Edge in the locker room. He congratulated Edge on the win over Orton then asked about Chris Jericho hitting the Codebreaker. Edge said he wants to thank Jericho for giving him a wake up call as to what MITB ladder match is. Edge said you have to have eyes in the back of your head. Edge said he's got the advantage, having fought in and won more MITB matches than anyone else. Edge said he's got a voice in back of his head telling him to be ruthless and void of compassion. Edge said the voice tells him he has no rules, morals or scruples and he is "The Ultimate Opportunist". He said at MITB ladder match the fun will truly begin.

Backstage, a trainer helped Evan Bourne apply ice to the back of his neck. Sheamus came walking up asking Bourne if he's hurt. He told him he's lucky it wasn't him or he'd be a lot worse. As Sheamus was going off, The Nexus came walking up on them. Sheamus told them Bourne was just bragging about how he saved Cena last week. Sheamus walked off and let Nexus beatdown Bourne. After Nexus left, Sheamus returned to get in Bourne's face on the ground. Just then Nexus came walking back up to him. Sheamus stood up as Nexus gave him menacing looks. Sheffield lunged at him and Sheamus took off running. He found a WWE staffer and asked where Cena's locker room is, then took off.

John Cena vs. The Nexus
6-on-1 Handicap Match

Wade Barrett, Michael Tarver, Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Skip Sheffield and David Otunga were in the ring for the match. Darren Young was not part of the match due to Cena beating him up last week. They showed highlights from last week when Cena beat up Young.

Cena gained an advantage against Skip Sheffield. Sheffield rolled to the outside and the rest of Nexus dropped off the apron to regroup. They surrounded the ring and when the ref had his back turned, Slater snuck in to knock Cena down from behind. Slater tagged in and did repeated suplexes on Cena to wear him down. The Nexus members took turns tagging in to wear down Cena. Barrett finally got in, and Cena saw his opening.

After a back suplex on Barrett, Cena went for the You Can't See Me and the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena hit it, then got up Barrett into Attitude Adjustment. He was near the ropes and Sheffield slapped Barrett for a blind tag, but the ref saw. Cena hit the finisher, but Sheffield came over to hit Cena. Sheffield hit his trademark running clothesline to take Cena down, then tagged Otunga in. Otunga hit his finisher slam move, then tagged in Gabriel. Gabriel pulled Cena to the corner then got up for the 450 Splash which he hit for the winning pinfall.

As the Nexus assembled in the ring, Barrett told the ref to go away. He looked down at the fallen Cena. Cena slowly got up then clocked Barrett in the face. Cena rushed to the outside and grabbed a steel chair. Heath Slater went after him and got hit in the gut with the chair. Cena rushed into the ring as Nexus all escaped outside. They regrouped and surrounded the ring with Cena daring them to come in. Cena's face was busted open as blood came down from top of his nose.

All of a sudden, Sheamus rushed down to the ring with a steel chair in hand. He helped chase of Nexus and was in the ring with Cena as Raw ended. Cole said they're on the same side tonight but not this Sunday at the PPV match.

Winners: The Nexus wins via pinfall over John Cena.
