Raw Results 12/3/12

Raw Results from Greensboro, NC:

Daniel Bryan and Kane defeated The Prime Time Players via pinfall in a non-title match.  During the match, Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose showed up in the crowd.  They moved closer and closer down towards the ring.  With Kane and Bryan distracted, D-Young crashed into Bryan sending him into Kane on the apron.  Kane fell off the apron, and then D-Young tried for a surprise rollup pinfall on Bryan.  Bryan rolled through to get the pinfall himself.  Post-match, The Shield attacked Kane outside the ring.  Bryan was going to go out but got attacked inside by the third member.  They continued the beatdown, pinning Kane's arm against the ring post and kicking the steel steps into it multiple times.  In the ring, they did the triple power bomb to leave Bryan on the mat.  Shield then left through the crowd.

Backstage, Sheamus and John Cena joked around with Cena saying he couldn't understand what Sheamus was saying.  Sheamus said in their tag match, what he does to Show will translate into any language.

AJ Lee defeated Tamina Snuka via pinfall.
In the match, Tamina was dominating things and dragged AJ over towards the corner.  Tamina got ready to go up for the Superfly Splash but AJ quickly did a rollup pinfall to get the win.

CM Punk and Paul Heyman came to the ring to deliver a promo.  Heyman had the WWE Encyclopedia with him and said it doesn't mention Punk nearly enough.  He mentioned how Punk is about to surpass John Cena as the longest reigning champion in the modern era.  Punk yelled at the crowd saying their heroes cannot and will never be like him.  Punk started bringing up how people think Heyman is the reason he's champion, or because of Brad Maddox, or The Shield.  Punk said he is the reason people bought a ticket to come see Monday Night Raw.

The Miz came out onto the stage to interrupt Punk's speech.  The two went back and forth for a while, with Miz saying nobody believes him that he isn't associated with The Shield.  Punk told Miz to come get in the ring so he could prove himself.  Miz told Punk instead he wants him to come on MizTV and take a lie detector test to prove he's not associated with Shield.

John Cena and Sheamus defeated The Big Show and Dolph Ziggler via pinfall.  Late in the match, Cena went on a rampage punching Show off the apron, then hitting his moves on Ziggler.  The finish saw Sheamus get in the ring and avoid being chokeslammed by Show.  He picked up Show for the White Noise, just as Cena picked up Ziggler for the AA.  They looked at each other and hit the moves, with Cena capturing the winning pin on Ziggler.

Damien Sandow gave a guy from the audience the chance to be his apprentice.  He asked him 3 questions including "H20 refers to what?" and "Who was the first president of the United States?"  The third question was a line from a poem by Keats which the guy got wrong.  Sandow told him to leave the ring, the building, the state and the United States of America.  Sandow said "you're welcome" and prepared to leave, but Santino Marella's music hit and he came to the ring.  Santino asked his own trivia question, how many sea shells does she sell by the seashore.  Sandow told him the answer is the bivalve.  Santino said he was wrong, it's the conch shell.  He tried to hit Sandow with the mic, but Sandow punched him down and went to leave the ring.

Damien Sandow defeated Santino Marella via pinfall.  Late in the match, Santino retrieved The Cobra sock, but Sandow slid out of the ring with Santino chasing him on the outside.  Sandow rolled back into the ring and as Santino tried to go in, Sandow dropped a double axe chop on him.  Moments later, Sandow was able to hit his neckbreaker finisher for the win.  Cole told WWE fans to send in touts to try to stump Sandow with a trivia question.

Backstage, Ziggler complained about being in tag team matches with Big Show.  Vickie said she was losing faith in him.  Dolph asked her to book him in a rematch against Cena for TLC.  Vickie agreed to it.  Dolph went to leave and told Vickie someone was in her office.  Vickie went in to find Brad Maddox with his camera man.  Maddox asked Vickie to give him a WWE contract to further solidify herself as one of the most powerful and influential women in the history of WWE.  Vickie said if Maddox wins his match later he's got the contract.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Sin Cara via submission.  Sin Cara had control for most of the match.  Late in the contest, he went for a high risk move off the top rope, but Del Rio moved out of the way.  Sin Cara tried to get a tilt-a-whirl move on ADR, but Del Rio countered and put him into the Cross Armbreaker.

Backstage, Mr. McMahon was shown walking in a suit.  He stopped at a WWE staffer and told him to inform Miss Guerrero he wants to have a conversation with her in the ring, right now.  The guy said "Ok" and went to leave, but McMahon stopped him saying, "No, it's not 'Ok'."  The guy said "Yes sir," and then Vince let him go.

Vickie Guerrero came down to the ring and introduced Mr. McMahon.  Vince came to the ring and after Vickie tried to compliment him, Vince gave her some suggestions for how to run things.  He told her that the Cena vs. Ziggler TLC match needs some stipulations.  She suggested a ladder match but then said there's no titles on either guy.  Vince suggested the MITB briefcase to which Vickie tried to plead him not to, but she made the match with the MITB case on the line.  Vince also brought up the idea that CM Punk might be lying about Brad Maddox and The Shield.  He told Vickie she needs to hand out some consequences if that's the case.  Vickie said if Punk's lying, then Paul Heyman will have to face Ryback in a match next week on Raw.  Vince told the crowd to give it up for Vickie but they just booed as Vince's music played on.

Randy Orton defeated Brad Maddox via pinfall.  Maddox did not earn a WWE contract due to the loss.  Orton made quick work of him, knocking him around on the outside then tossing him back in the ring.  Orton hit the DDT from the middle ropes and then waited for Maddox to get up so he could hit the RKO.  Post-match, Orton barely had his arm raised for a moment, when The Shield rushed into the ring and attacked him from behind.  They continued to beat him down and then hit a Triple Powerbomb to leave Orotn layed out.

R-Truth and Kofi Kingston were going to have a tag team match against Antonio Cesaro and Wade Barrett, but Teddy Long came out to interrupt.  He said since Booker's not there, and Vickie's having issues, he's taking initiative to shake things up with this match.  He said instead of a tag match it's going to be a Fatal Fourway.  The WWE Universe would decide via Twitter which championship is on the line, US or Intercontinental.  After break, Teddy was still on stage and had the poll results revealed.  It was overwhelming in favor of Cesaro's US Championship being on the line.

Antonio Cesaro defeated Kofi Kingston via pinfall to retain the US Championship in a Fatal Fourway match.  The close saw Kofi in control preparing for Trouble in Paradise.  Cesaro was on the outside and yanked Kofi out of the ring.  Cesaro tried to put away Barrett with the Neutralizer, but Truth hit a spinning kick to knock down Cesaro.  Truth went to attack Barrett, but instead Barrett hit the Ballhammer on him.  Kofi got in the ring and hit Trouble in Paradise on Barrett, then seemed to have the winning pin.  Cesaro rushed over and picked up Kofi off Barrett to hit the Neutralizer for the winning pin.

MizTV featured a lie detector test for CM Punk administered by a local county sherriff.  Miz asked a few embarassing questions like "Did Rey Mysterio shave you bald at the PPV?" and "Did you lose to Randy Orton at the Wrestlemania I main evented?"  Miz kept asking more questions and got to one about The Shield, but they stormed the ring once again to attack, beating up Miz.  They kept beating him up outside the ring and then hit their triple Powerbomb in the ring.  Kane and Daniel Bryan came rushing down to attack Shield in the ring.

Bryan and Kane seemed to be putting up a fight, but then Ryback came rushing down to help out.  He got in the ring and clotheslined down one member of Shield then dumped one out of the ring.  Ryback chased a member of Shield out through the crowd, as Bryan and Kane each went after one of the other members outside the ring.  Back in the ring, Punk beat up Miz and told him "get out of my ring," then kicked him to the outside.

Ryback showed up again after Punk kicked Miz out of the ring.  He hit Shellshocked on Punk, then went out of the ring to retrieve a steel chair and ladder from under the ring.  He smashed the ladder into Punk, then smacked the chair down on him.  From there, Ryback went back out of the ring and under the apron cover to grab a table.  He set it up in the ring and then grabbed Punk who was trying to crawl away.  Ryback powerbombed Punk through the table then led the crowd in a Feed Me More chant.
