Jerry Lawler Facing Charges
Jerry "The King" Lawler is facing recent charges stemming from an assault in Tunica. Police are currently investigating claims that Lawler hit a man at the Sam's Town Event Center in Tunica. According to witnesses and several wrestling sites, Lawler believed the man had hit a fan at an event, and responded by punching the man, Sal Corrente several times.

"As of right now, there is no police report, but an affidavit was filed late Wednesday morning, June 20. In the affidavit, the complainant claims Lawler hit "The Big Cheese" Sal Corrente three times on Friday, June 15, 2007.
Police say they are investigating the allegations as a misdemeanor simple assault. As of now, officials say Lawler has not been served.
Lawler is scheduled to be in court on August 1, 2007."
