Pre-Vengeance Thoughts
Some pre-Vengeance thoughts. My predictions are soon to come (after Smackdown).
1) First off, the WWE Champions Challenge. You have Mick Foley as part of the match, but a few interesting notes.
He was banged up pretty bad by Umaga on RAW. Usually a guy gets beat up like this and then Randy Orton puts them out of commission (as he did to HBK and then RVD). Is this Mick Foley's fate? Orton snaps during or after the match decision and Foley leaves on a stretcher? The other thing of note, this match was open to all contenders on the "Raw roster" who were former heavyweight title holders. Well Foley is considered part of the Raw roster, but why is he not shown on WWE.com's Raw Superstars section?
2- Two superstars were very recent champions switched brands and are now immediately competing for a new title at Vengeance. You have Lashley who just got drafted and gave up his ECW title. Now he is competing for Cena's title. Then you have Benoit, who was a very recent US Champion and moved over to ECW. He earned the right to compete with CM Punk for the ECW title. But it makes you wonder if either will be winning the title because of the fact they were such recent champs...The same would go for Ric Flair who just moved to Smackdown. He hasn't had a title recently, so the fact he is automatically the top contender is quite interesting.
3 - They haven't announced a title match involving Deuce & Domino. It will be interesting to see if the Major Brothers (just drafted to Smackdown) get a title shot at Vengeance, or do they give it to Kendrick and London who just switched to Raw? Or is this the one title we won't see defended? Hmmm....
4 - Finally, the stipulation for the Batista vs Edge match makes it very hard to believe that Batista won't win this one.
Full Vengeance redictions coming soon...
