McMahon Strikes Back: Raw

WWE.com has issued an early preview for WWE Raw this coming Monday entitled "Mr. McMahon Strikes Back". The question is what will Mr. McMahon strike back against? The accusations of steroids and drug testing/policy problems in the WWE? Or will this be more wrestler related? Lashley is out due to surgery, so Vince's most recent grudge is not around. He can possibly kick around Coach or Cena somehow, or Triple H will return in some manner. It would be great to see Triple H return, but I see him doing that either on the Titantron or in another week if he does show up on Raw prior to Summerslam. McMahon will most likely strike back against recent media criticism and appearances by a slew of former superstars regarding WWE drug policies and drug abuse.

McMahon has a failing company at the moment, with profits down 52% as of today, and with TV ratings also dropping. The early "press release" of this info, is obviously to generate buzz and get people to tune in again to the show to see what's up. My suggestion, announce Triple H's return to Raw if you really want to see the ratings go up again. The WWE could also bring back many former wrestlers in any capacity, if it truly wants to save ratings and face. Stone Cold is still listed on the Raw roster, and I have a feeling people would tune in to see what he is up to. Hogan, Jericho, The Rock, Undertaker. More examples of guys people would probably tune in for.

It will be interesting to see exactly what Mr. McMahon is up to. With so many recent twists and turns occurring within and outside of the WWE, the possibilities are endless. Feel free to leave your comments on what Mr. McMahon will be up to on Raw.

Yes i think that would be an exellent idea if Vince got Stone Cold, The Rock, Jericho, HUlk Hogan, Or Undertaker. One of them could most likely to bring up the ratings. Cuase thats why my brothers and a lot of older people i know dont watch it anymore, because Stone Cold isnt wresting anymore and the Rock, and such people like them!

Speaking of Undertaker What the hell happened to him? He was on for a while, now he doesn't even make apperances? I think one of the main reasons WWE Raw lost viewers is because Shawn Michaels is out... True, bring Triple H back- u'll get viewers...bring Shawn back, ratings will go through the roof.

I think it will have to do with the media cause they already announced that triple h is coming back, so I dont know its hard saying. And its hard to believe that the ratings are so low.

I agree that bringing back former greats would help the ratings. They seem to like to use the old-timer legends for Randy Orton to dispose of, but don't bring in guys that we all know would defeat him. Even if they had Michaels sitting at ringside as a commentator, I'm sure people would tune in. Then again fans might question why he wasn't striking back against Orton.

The WWE should open up more of an interactive style. If they had fans allowed to vote to determine matches (like Cyber Sunday), I'm willing to bet ratings would be doing just fine.

I think it's a good idea to bring back Mr. McMahon because the ratings are terrible and I like seeing the character. I guess they are doing this just to help the Summerslam hype and the ratings. Maybe McMahon will have something to do with Triple H's return. I think it's obvious that he will be involved in Summerslam and the ratings will go back to normal.

Vince should come in and reboot the whole program. Strip Cena of the belt and start all new angles acros the board. this is one of our toughest periods ever. I wish every fa with a Neilson Box would just turn on RAW and turn the sound off. We can not turn our backs just because of one tragedy.

i think wwe should build up the talent they have instead of rely on old fogeys to put buts in seats. they have a good thing going and then they take a step back. also take the belt off cena. the reason why stone cold and rock were so huge is becuase they were underdogs they got beat for the belts from time to time. Quit living in the past people. As the human body gets older it gets more frail. Trust me im an emt. Why do you think triple h, shawn michaels, and undertaker are all out. If stone cold got in the ring he would die. Maybe you would have gotten your fill of stone cold if you followed his career when he started in the late 80s!!! remember by the time he got big it was the latter days of his career. Its ok to miss those guys, BUt they are gone. wwe has great talent that they job out and dont use. Lets get on them about that.

Anonymous, I completely agree with you about the body getting frail and more injury prone as aging occurs. My suggestion is even for these former wrestling superstars to take a secondary role, such as a commentator, or an occasional face off with someone. Even as a GM of Raw or Smackdown. ECW doesn't even have anyone in charge, as it seems guys can just schedule their own matches.

Austin has done things like referee matches and hit someone with a stunner here or there. I don't consider that to be too much for his body to take, and many fans enjoy having the "personality" around. That would bring in more viewers as the WWE builds up its current talent.

In terms of talent buildup, that is definitely a big issue. If Orton wins the title it seems like it was just thrown out there, after he hasn't been able to beat Cena in other opportunities. I never saw him as a top opponent for Cena. Now with injury problems, they have no choice I guess. Beating guys like Slaughter and Dusty Rhodes makes Orton look alot weaker to me than a guy like Kennedy or maybe even King Booker. I really feel the guy who should be carrying Raw right now is in fact, Mr. Kennedy.
