Raw Recap 02.25.08

Raw recap from Phoenix, AZ:

Raw opened showing the main event of last week's Raw, with John Cena facing Randy Orton in a non-title match. Triple H was made the special guest referee of this match. A Cena win would put him into the main event with HHH and Orton for the WWE title at Wrestlemania 24. During the match, Triple H counted a pinfall for Cena as winner. As Cena was celebrating with his arms raised, he turned to receive a Pedigree from HHH. Triple H did the same to Orton, leaving both men laying in the ring as Raw ended.

A special photo-op was held for the participants in Wrestlemania 24's Main event, the Triple Threat match for the WWE title. Cena, Orton and HHH were in the ring with William Regal. The 3 wrestlers stood next to each other in the center of the ring as photographers snapped pics from ringside. Regal gave each of the wrestlers a mic so they could provide their comments. Cena spoke first, facing HHH. Cena told HHH half of him wanted to thank Triple H for counting the pinfall, but the other part isn't grateful for the Pedigree he got at the end. HHH said maybe Cena and some fans didn't like the Pedigree, but a lot of fans did. HHH said Cena will get the Pedigree at WM24 as well. Cena reminded HHH that when they clashed two years ago at Wrestlemania, HHH tapped out. Triple H threw his jacket off and got ready to fight Cena. Just then, Orton began to speak, interrupting.

Orton told his two opponents that one thing is still the same, he is WWE champion. Orton told HHH and Cena they can't do a thing about it. Cena and Triple H turned and began to beat on Orton, then the two men tossed him over the ropes. Cena and HHH started to fight with Triple H gaining the upperhand. Orton snuck back into the ring and RKO'd both men down to the mat, holding his title up afterwards.
