Raw is Chaos! McMahon's Returning?

This past Monday night's Raw provided even more mayhem and chaos than the ensuing weeks seemed to. Despite pleas from Stephanie and Shane McMahon that all WWE superstars, talent and staff work to make the show a great experience, it still was a great ball of turbulence from start to finish.

The opening sequences of Raw provided a brawl between Shawn Michaels, Lance Cade and Chris Jericho, requiring referees to pull everyone apart. It continued later backstage and a little bit into Jericho's match against Paul London. Tensions are definitely high as HBK and Y2J will face off in what is sure to be explosive match this Sunday. Let's hope for a clean win by one of the competitors and not some Lance Cade DQ action.

As for Kane, he seems to be back in WWE monster mode. Since dropping his ECW title, then losing in a Fatal Fourway to Batista, Kane has snapped. Last week, he grabbed Michael Cole from the commentators' table and demanded an answer to the question "Is he alive or dead??". Cole and Lawler continued to contemplate who or what Kane is referring to. On Raw Monday, Kane issued an apology and was seen carrying a mysterious burlap sack around. Fans can only continue to wonder what Kane has in the sack and who Kane is asking about. Is he inquiring about his brother, the Undertaker, or Vince McMahon, whose status has not been announced after being part of that accident weeks ago on the Raw set? Most likely, Kane will play a part in the CM Punk vs. Batista World Heavyweight title match at Great American Bash now. Time should reveal what exactly Kane has in his burlap bag of tricks.

Raw also saw the Glamazon Beth Phoenix defeat her first male opponent, ala the days of another manly diva, Chyna. Is this a sign that Beth is going to be defeating Kofi Kingston or another superstar for the Intercontinental title? Chyna did this by defeating Chris Jericho before to be the first woman to win the IC title. Beth Phoenix definitely displays the strength to do it, and may be traveling the same route as Chyna did.

Raw ended Monday night with JBL ramming a car into what appeared to be a slumped over John Cena. Cena and JBL will duke it out in the Parking Lot Brawl this Sunday, but Cena's health may be in jeapordy. It now seems inevitable that the McMahons will return to preside over Raw, so most likely we see Stephanie and/or Shane make a return this coming Monday after the Bash.
