Raw Preview 07.14.08

Last week on Raw a new #1 contender was determined for CM Punk's World Heavyweight title. In a Fatal Fourway Batista was able to outlast and overcome the odds defeating John Cena, Kane and JBL to win the #1 contender spot. Now Batista will head into the Great American Bash and challenge Punk for the title. The Animal has held the title several times before and is sure to be hungry for the opportunity to regain it. How will Batista and Punk prepare for their upcoming match at the Pay-Per-View? Will anyone else attempt to challenge the champ on Raw?

Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho are two Raw superstars with no love lost between them. Over the past several months both wrestlers have been feuding back and forth. It all started after Michaels sent Ric Flair into retirement, defeating him at Wrestlemania 24. Jericho officiated a match between Batista and Michaels weeks later, and Michaels used a fake knee injury to outsmart Batista and win. Jericho has lost to Michaels before, but now seems more determined than ever to stop HBK's show. Will either of these superstars have words for the other on tonight's episode of Raw?

Raw's newest member and Intercontinental champion, Kofi Kingston was also blindsided last week by Paul Burchill. Kingston's been on quite a roll since debuting in ECW and coming over to Raw. How will he respond to Burchill's attack last week? Will Burchill become the new top contender for Kofi's title?
