WWE Superstars Recap 09.10.09

On the 09/10/09 episode of WWE Superstars, fans were treated to several match featuring the various wresters and divas of Raw, Smackdown and ECW. In action were Smackdown's Kane, ECW divas Brie Bella and Katie Lea Burchill, as well as a Raw main event tag match which pitted Primo Colon & United States Champion Kofi Kingston versus The Miz and Jack Swagger. Here's the full results for the 09/10/09 WWE Superstars on WGN America:

Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Kane

In an extremely fast match, Yang tried some early offense on the Big Rd Machine. Since his attacks didn't do much, Kane leveled Yang, then began working on him in the corner. Kane continued to beat away on Yang, then hit a sidewalk slam. He followed with his Chokeslam finisher to put away Yang.

After the bell, Kane went to the outside and grabbed a Kendo stick from under the ring. With the weapon in hand, Kane got into the ring and began to beat on Yang with it, leaving welts on his back.

Winner: Kane wins via pinfall over Jimmy Wang Yang.

Yoshi Tatsu vs. Sheamus

Two young stars from the ECW Superstar Initiative faced off in match number two. Sheamus took control early when he knocked Yoshi down on the apron. Sheamus began to work on the back of Yoshi to wear him down, using submission holds and a back suplex for a two count. Yoshi made a comeback when he was able to land a surprise kick on Sheamus. Yoshi kept using kick moves and then tried the inside cradle pin, but only score a two count. Yoshi used several chops and a spinning heel kick, but again only a 2 count. He tried to charge at Sheamus in the corner but received a boot to the face. Sheamus followed up with his finisher the Irish Curse, to break Yoshi across his knee.

Winner: Sheamus wins via pinfall over Yoshi Tatsu.

Nikki Bella vs. Katie Lea

Brie accompanied her twin sister to the ring for the match. Early on, Nikki had the momentum until Katie caught her and used a spinning backbreaker move. Katie began to apply various submission moves including a chin lock to try to wear down Nikki. Nikki fought to her feet with Katie slamming her right back down to the mat.

Katie continued to withstand Nikki's attacks and manhandled her. Katie whipped Nikki to the corner and charged, with Nikki moving out of the way. Katie stopped herself from hitting then grabbed Nikki, who kicked her away. Nikki rolled to the outside, and the ref never noticed Brie Bella climb up to the corner turnbuckle and then hit a flying cross body off the corner for the win.

Winner: Nikki Bella wins via pinfall over Katie Lea.

Slam Master J vs. Dolph Ziggler

Early on, Ziggler and Jeezy exchanged offense, with Jeezy whipping Dolph to the corner. Jeezy charged, with Ziggler tossing him over the ropes. Jeezy landed on the apron feet first, and punched Ziggler, before climbing the corner. Ziggler recovered and knocked Jeezy down to the floor outside. After collecting, Jeezy he sent him into the ring where he hit an elbow drop followed by a chinlock. Ziggler continued the chinlock to wear his opponent down. Jeezy made his comeback as he got to his feet, and tried for a pinfall. Ziggler kicked out, so Jeezy hit a shoulder tackle, again only getting a two count. Ziggler stunned Jeezy with a chinbuster, then used his finisher the Zig Zag to win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler wins via pinfall over Slam Master J.

Primo & Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger & The Miz

Late in the match, Miz was working on Primo, slamming him, then kicking him in the face. After a chinlock from Miz, Primo fought out. Miz prevented his tag attempt by knocking Kofi from the apron to the floor. From there, Primo ducked Miz' clothesline attempt to hit a side Russian legsweep. Kofi was able to tag in and started to take care of business, as he got up on Miz in the corner to punch away at him. Swagger came over to distract, with Kofi going at him. Swagger dropped off the apron to avoid getting hit.

Kofi had his double legdrop set up on Miz, but Swagger yanked Miz to the outside. Kofi jumped off out at Miz and Swagger, with Jack moving away so Miz got hit by it. Primo got into the mix as he rushed into the ring and ran across to dive out onto Swagger. Kofi brought Miz back inside and was able to hit the high crossbody.Miz reversed Kofi's attempted whip to the corner, causing Kofi to be flung into Swagger on the apron. From there, Miz grabbed the stunned Kingston to hit the Skull Crushing Finale for the win. He and Swagger later celebrated their victory on the ramp as the show ended.
