3 Traditional Survivor Series Matches

On Monday Night Raw and WWE.com, three more 2009 Survivor Series matches were announced for the upcoming Pay-Per-View scheduled for Sunday November 22, 2009. These will be traditional elimination-style matches, where two teams of 5 wrestlers (or divas) compete against one another. A wrestler can be eliminated via pinfall/submission/countout, until one team has been completely eliminated, leaving at least one winning wrestler on the opposing side. Here's the three new matches announced:

The Miz (c), Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus & Drew McIntyre vs. John Morrison (c), Evan Bourne, Finlay, Matt Hardy & Shelton Benjamin

Kofi Kingston (c), MVP, Mark Henry, Christian & R-Truth vs. Randy Orton (c), Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk & William Regal

Mickie James (c), Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim, Melina & Eve Torres vs. Michelle McCool (c), Layla, Jillian, Beth Phoenix & Alicia Fox

There had been rumors that Maryse might return to take part in the divas match, but as you can see Jillian Hall's involved.

The interesting part of these matches is how just one Pay-Per-View removed from Bragging Rights, Smackdown & Raw wrestlers are joining forces. No real explanation is given, and it seems like the rivalry was just a paper rivalry between the two shows as wrestlers now face off over feuds with more heel vs face style matches.
