WWE Superstars Recap 11.12.09:

Superstars matches took place in the United Kingdom for this edition and featured the stars of Raw, ECW and Smackdown in competition. Todd Grisham was on hand for commentary along with partner Matt Striker from Smackdown. In the main event, it will be Raw's MVP facing Ted Dibiase of Legacy. Matt Hardy from Smackdown arrived out to start off the show.

Matt Hardy vs. David Hart Smith

Striker discussed how Hardy took a serious beating at the hands of Batista on Smackdown last week, but is back in action tonight. The Hart Dynasty arrived to the ring, allowing Natalya and Kidd to be at ringside.

As things moved at a frantic pace, the action eventually moved to the outside where Hardy pounded on Smith. He tossed Smith back into the ring after slamming him face first on the apron. As Matt got up on the corner, Tyson Kidd came over to distract the ref. Smith ran over and punched Matt, then climbed the corner to superplex him off. Both men were down holding their neck/head area as Superstars went to break.

Superstars returned with Smith locking in an abdominal stretch on Hardy. Hardy was able to escape and force Smith to the corner where he beat on him. The ref pulled Hardy away and Smith got a cheapshot punch in. Smith followed with a powerslam. Smith was able to suplex Matt into a bridge pin for a near fall. Matt was put up on the corner seated again, but he elbowed Smith off this time, then hit a moonsault on him for a very close pinfall. Matt started to favor his left knee as he got back up. Both men traded shots, with Matt hitting a side neckbreaker for a near fall. In the closing moments, Matt hit a Side Effect and Smith kicked out of the pin. Matt prepared for Twist of Fate, but Tyson Kidd got on the apron to interrupt. Matt was distracted and as he turned he got a boot to the face from Smith.

The ref ordered Natalya and Kidd to leave the ringside area so Smith didn't get a pinfall out of his boot move. Instead, the distraction allowed Matt to grab Smith and roll him into a small package pin to win it.

Winner: Matt Hardy wins via pinfall over DH Smith.

Next up was "Ask the Divas". In this week's segment, the questions were "What's the cheesiest pickup line someone's used on you?" and "Should I let my best friend know I like him?". Divas featured were Eve, Melina, Natalya, Maria, Beth Phoenix, Bella Twins, Michelle McCool and Gail Kim. You can submit questions for "Ask the divas" at WWE Universe.

Zack Ryder was shown backstage on his way out for his match with Shelton Benjamin. Rosa Mendes came walking out to go with him.

Shelton Benjamin vs. Zack Ryder

Ryder was accompanied to the ring by ECW diva Rosa Mendes. Byron Saxton and Josh Matthews were on hand for commentary. Just 9 days ago, Ryder lost to Shelton when he became distracted by Rosa at ringside.

In the latter stages of this match, Shelton ducked Ryder's clothesline attempt, then kneed him in the gut. Shelton then tried for a Powerbomb, but Ryder began punching at him while seated up on his shoulders. Shelton walked over towards the ropes to dump Ryder out, but Ryder used momentum to toss Shelton over too. Both men crashed to the floor. Rosa Mendes rushed over to check on Ryder as Shelton had just dropkicked him from the ring into the crowd barrier. With Rosa standing in front of Ryder he got a goofy look on his face as he was mesmerized by her. The ref counted Ryder out. When he realized what happened he rushed into the ring but only to get hit by Shelton's Paydirt. Rosa went over to the side of the ring to check on Ryder as Shelton shrugged, celebrating.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin wins due to countout of Zack Ryder.

A video was shown featuring highlights of The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler were now on hand as Raw's commentary team. They discussed the Survivor Series including the big WWE Title Triple Threat match. They also discussed the Team Kofi vs Team Orton traditional elimination match which will feature MVP on one team, and Ted Dibiase on the other.

Josh Matthews was with Legacy in the locker room. Matthews asked Legacy about the harsh words they had in the VIP Lounge for MVP, Kofi Kingston and Mark Henry. Rhodes said they were speaking their minds and they don't see any of those guys as important. Dibiase reminded everyone his dad is Million Dollar Man, so he's the one who's "Ballin". Dibiase said nobody impresses him from Team Kofi and tonight he's going to give MVP a beatdown for the VIP.

Highlights were shown from the Texas NASCAR race where Kyle Busch drove the Smackdown-Raw race car. Jerry Lawler was on hand for the event.

MVP vs. Ted Dibiase

Dibiase arrived to the ring with his Legacy tag partner, Cody Rhodes. MVP was joined by his tag partner Mark Henry. Early on, MVP took Dibiase down by clothesline then whipped him from corner to corner. As he charged at Dibiase, MVP took a boot to his face, but responded with a backdrop on Dibiase for a near fall. MVP had a headlock locked onto Dibiase, but Ted got up to knee MVP. Dibiase eventually escaped to the outside where Rhodes was. MVP saw them both and took the opportunity to leap over the ropes onto both men as Superstars went to a break.

Superstars returned as MVP had a near fall. MVP went for a running boot on Dibiase in the corner, but Ted avoided it and eventually knocked MVP out of the ring. Dibiase went to the outside to beat on MVP. He yanked MVP's arm down on the crowd barrier then shoved him into the ringpost before putting him back into the ring for a near fall. Dibiase kept pounding away on MVP on the mat to stay in control. At one point the ref was distracted by Dibiase, allowing Rhodes to yank MVP's arm across the ringpost. MVP tried to mount a comeback but was promptly clotheslined down by Dibiase.

MVP managed to toss Dibiase as he came at him from against the ropes. MVP still struggled to get up and was favoring his hurt arms. He began to punch away at Dibiase then elbowed him down to the mat, following with a Facebuster. Next up, he hit the Ballin' elbow drop, then awaited Dibiase to stand. He went for Playmaker but Dibiase countered to escape. MVP came back with a huge boot to Dibiase to level him. He had a near fall, with Rhodes going on the side apron to try to distract the ref. Mark Henry came over to grab Rhodes off the apron and throw him against the ringpost. Dibiase went for a neckbreaker, but MVP countered it and rolled him into a small package to secure the pinfall victory.

Mark Henry and MVP celebrated with the arms raised in the ring as Superstars went off the air.

Winner: MVP wins via pinfall over Ted Dibiase.
