Triple H and Stephanie came to the ring to start the show, with a shot backstage of the rest of the locker room watching on a TV screen. The Authority talked about the “Rumble controversy,” but blamed The Rock for getting involved. Triple H said that’s partly his fault because people with a name think they can just come back and affect what happens. He said Sting got away with that at Survivor Series but it will stop at Fast Lane and that’s why he’s here tonight to speak. He said he wants Sting face-to-face in the ring at Fast Lane to settle things.
Steph brought up how fans can see that on the WWE Network, then turned her attention to Roman Reigns questioning if he deserves a WWE Title Shot at WM31.
