J&J stepped up to Kane to try to intimidate him but Kane laughed in their faces. Rollins shook his head and they walked off.

Tyson Kidd & Cesaro vs. New Day - WWE Tag Team Championship Match

New Day came out with all three guys holding miss. In the ring, they called out Baltimore Orioles star Adam Jones who stood up in the front row holding up a replica championship belt. New Day got the crowd heat by reminding Baltimore they haven’t won the title in 32 years. They tried for the New Day Rocks chant, but the crowd added in sucks. Kidd and Cesaro came to the ring.

Kidd & Cesaro took the first fall by pinfall about 2:48 into the match after hitting a double team Big Swing and basement dropkick combo on Kofi. After that, Xavier Woods got on the apron to run interference. Natalya yanked him off the apron and then Kidd or Cesaro dove out to take Woods down. Back in the ring, Kidd avoided a charging Big E who went out of the ring. Tyson and Cesaro took down Kofi in the ring, then Kidd tried to dive onto Big E. E caught Kidd and hit a German Suplex with him on the floor, giving New Day the control.

New Day took the second fall to even things up 1-1. At one point, Cesaro got knocked to ringside, leaving Kidd against Big E and Kingston. They hit their double team finisher to grab the second fall by pin.

During some late confusion, Xavier Woods snuck in as Kofi went to the outside. The ref didn’t notice as Cesaro went at Kofi through the ropes. Kofi grabbed Cesaro to yank him by the head against the top rope. Cesaro snapped back and Woods put a small package on him to get the pin for the third fall. Natalya was shocked at what just happened, but nobody else in the ring saw it.

Winners: New Day won the best-of-3-falls match 2 falls to 1 to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Ryback vs. Bray Wyatt

At one point, Wyatt hit a huge Senton bomb from off the apron to land on Ryback's midsection on the outside. Ryback pounded his fist on the outside floor with the commentators speculating he broke a rib or two. The ref’s count got up to 9 as Ryback found the energy to slide back into the ring where Wyatt was in control, hitting a huge splash on Ryback in the corner for more damage. Wyatt tried to go after Ryback in the corner, but Ryback power bombed him away. Later, Wyatt exploded for a splash in the corner then tried to run back to the opposite corner to set up another. Ryback chased after him and hit a huge splash of his own and eventually a spine buster for the near fall. One of the turnbuckle pads got ripped off to expose the steel and that came into play late as Wyatt hit a shoulder block sending Ryback into it. The bruised ribs got to Ryback and Wyatt hit Sister Abigail on him for the win.

Winner: Bray Wyatt defeated Ryback via pinfall.

Rusev vs. John Cena - WWE U.S. Championship I Quit Match - TBD in progress...

Early on in the match, Rusev got the mic to ask Cena if he wanted to quit before they even started. Cena shrugged him off and went for the attack. Later on, the crowd chanted "We Want Lana" which irritated Rusev, causing him to go to ringside, grab a steel chair and make her sit near the commentary table as punishment.

Later on in the match, Cena took control and beat up Rusev on the ramp. The ref asked Rusev if he wanted to quit and he yelled “No” as he was catching his breath. Cena grabbed a guard rail and rushed down the ramp to jab Rusev in the gut with it. Cena set it up against the ring and went for the AA but Rusev slid off and supplied Cena on top of it instead. Both men were down and the ref asked Cena, but he said “Hell no.” Rusev put The Accolade on Cena, but Cena managed to power up with Rusev on his back. Rusev kept it locked on him as Cena looked to be fading. He got up and rammed Rusev back first into the turnbuckle, but Rusev kept the hold on as Cena fell back to the mat with Rusev still on him.

Cena passed out so he couldn’t say “I Quit” to the ref. An angry Rusev went over the turnbuckle and disconnected the top ring rope. Rusev went to the outside and grabbed a bottled water to pour on Cena to wake him up. Rusev took the free metal turnbuckle piece attached to the rope and went to hit Cena, but Cena ducked it and then put an STF on Rusev with the top rope pulling against Rusev’s face. Lana stood up from her ringside seat and screamed into the ring as she saw Rusev screaming in pain with the ring rope pulled against his eyes. Lana yelled at the ref then crawled into the ring and grabbed the mic yelling “He quits, he quits!” The ref called for the bell. The commentators reviewed the footage with Rusev yelling something in Bulgarian and then Lana got into the ring to say I quit for him.

Winner: John Cena won the I Quit match against Rusev to retain the US Championship.

The Bella Twins vs. Naomi & Tamina

Late in this match, Tamina got into it with Brie on the outside of the ring, eventually grabbing her and tossing her hard into the crowd barrier. Nikki was distracted by it while she was on the top rope ready for a move, which led to Naomi being able to get the advantage, and eventually slam her down for the pinfall. The commentators made note that Naomi pinned the WWE Divas Champion in the match.

Winners: Tamina & Naomi defeated The Bella Twins via pinfall.

----

During a backstage interview, Byron Saxton informed New Day they are going to defend the titles in the first ever Elimination Chamber Tag Team title match. New Day was shocked asking how that would work, saying “that’s not happening.”

Neville vs. King Barrett

Late in the match, Neville went for Red Arrow but Barrett rolled out of the ring to avoid the move. Neville adjusted himself on the top rope and leapt out for a big splash onto Barrett on the outside. Neville seemed to tweak his knee on the fall though. He limped back in the ring to beat the ref’s count by 8. Barrett was still on the outside and about to get in at nine, but decided not to and got counted out. Post-match, Barrett shrugged off the boos and started walking up the ramp. Neville had his arm raised in the ring and Barrett rushed in to attack, eventually beating him up on the outside. Neville recovered as Barrett was posing with his King gear in the ring and attacked, eventually hitting Red Arrow on Barrett.

Winner: Neville defeated King Barrett due to countout.

Fatal Fourway for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship - Seth Rollins (c) vs. Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Randy Orton

Late in the match, Orton and Rollins fought it out in the ring with J&J, Kane, Ambrose and Reigns all down on the outside. Orton took control several times in the match and hit a Superplex at one point off the corner for a near fall. On the outside, Orton tore apart the commentary table and set up for a move with Rollins. Ambrose and Reigns got involved and helped Rollins to hit a Triple Powerbomb on Orton, causing Cole to yell out about The Shield seeming to be back together. Rollins put his arms around Ambrose and Reigns then put a fist out for them to put theirs with. Ambrose and Reigns jawed at him, then punched Rollins with Cole exclaiming, “one time only.” Kane tried to help out Rollins but Ambrose and Reigns got the upperhand and then powerbombed Kane on top of Rollins on the Spanish commentary table. The table didn’t break. A huge “one more time” chant broke out so Ambrose and Reigns obliged them, picking up Kane again to this time smash him through Rollins and the table.

Reigns and Ambrose played buddy-buddy for a few moments, but then realized they were the only two competitors on their feet. Ambrose slid into the ring and prepared for a fight. Reigns came in and they jawed at each other for a bit before throwing punches back and forth. Reigns hit a power bomb for a near fall. The two traded near falls with Reigns having one after a Superman Punch. Reigns hit a huge spear moments later and had a pinfall but Rollins rushed in to break up the pin. Reigns chased Rollins on the outside with J&J trying to intervene and getting punched down.

Things broke down with Ambrose hitting a huge pendulum clothesline to punch Reigns down. He hit Dirty Deeds on a staggering Rollins, but then Kane pulled Ambrose off the winning pin. Kane threw Ambrose into the steel steps on the outside and then smashed the steps on Reigns. Orton got involved again to knock Kane down on the outside, then hit several RKOs in the ring on J&J. He seemed to have control against Rollins, but Kane got in the ring again. Orton managed to fight off Kane, but Rollins grabbed control and hit Triple H’s finisher, The Pedigree on Orton to get the pinfall win. Cole noted Rollins took a play out of “the master’s playbook” with that move. The commentators reviewed match highlights as Rollins celebrated the win laying down on the ramp.

Triple H came down the ramp to help Rollins up and raised up his hand with the title belt to celebrate. An on-screen graphic showed that Elimination Chamber will be in Corpus Christi, Texas on Sunday, May 31.

Winner: Seth Rollins won via pinfall over Randy Orton in the Fatal Fourway to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

SmackDown Results 05/15/15

SmackDown Results from Evansville, IN:

The show opened with a Bray Wyatt promo about Ryback and how Wyatt will expose Ryback as a man chasing a Garden of Eden that doesn’t exist. He said Ryback needs to resist the urge to scratch his wounds or they will keep festering.

Dean Ambrose came out to talk about how he was the last man standing in the ring after the big brawl on Raw between the Payback Fatal Fourway participants. He brought up Rollins calling him a loser with a goon squad, and said the last anyone heard of Orton he was hit by a Spear from Reigns. He said as for Reigns he didn’t mean to hit Dirty Deeds on him, but had something to say. Reigns’ music hit and he came out to face Ambrose in the ring. They talked about being brothers still and on the same page for tonight to make it to Sunday, but come that match, it’s all out and each man for himself. Kane came out to interrupt saying they may not make it to Sunday as Reigns will face him later tonight and Ambrose faces Sheamus, now.

Dean Ambrose defeated Sheamus via pinfall. Late in the match, Sheamus tried to toss Ambrose out of the ring from the corner. Ambrose escaped and was able to pull Sheamus down from there, causing Sheamus to hit his head on the post. Ambrose got the rollup for the win.

Rusev came out with Lana and told the people that “the woman wants to talk.” She read from a script saying she had shamed herself by participating in perverse American customs and stands by the Russian Federation and its true champion, Rusev. Rusev grabbed the mic to cut a promo about Cena and his match on Sunday. He said he knows Cena mentally quit when he put him in The Accolade recently. Rusev said at Payback, the people will hear Cena say the words he has already said many times before. A tape was played of Cena repeating “I Quit” over and over. Rusev celebrated with the Russian flag to close the promo out.

As Ryback was heading to the ring, Bray Wyatt appeared out of nowhere to attack, knocking him down with a shoulder block. Wyatt’s sound effect played and he disappeared as refs helped Ryback up ahead of his match with Rollins.

Seth Rollins defeated Ryback via pinfall in a non-title match. Late in this one, Ryback went for the Meathook Clothesline. Joey Mercury distracted him a bit. Rollins tried for a rollup, but Ryback avoided that. Ryback responded with a clothesline for a near fall. Moments later, Ryback went for Shellshocked, but Rollins avoided it and delivered a kick from the top rope. With Ryback down, he hit two Superkicks on him in the seated position before taking the pin.

Backstage, Renee Young interviewed Naomi and Tamina about their change in demeanor in the divas division. They said girls like them don’t get opportunities so they need to do what’s necessary to get them. She called Nikki “pathetic” and Brie a “quitter” like her husband. Tamina said they own the division now.

New Day came out to talk about how they’re giving Cesaro and Kidd another chance out of the kindness of their hearts. They said they’re the change the crowd needs to see and tried to lead an unsuccessful “New Day rocks” chant.

Tyson Kidd defeated Kofi Kingston via submission. Natalya distracted Xavier Woods after Cesaro clotheslined Big E down outside. Kidd delivered a kick to Woods. In the ring, Kidd was able to put Kofi into the Sharpshooter to make him tap out.

They showed the video footage of some of Daniel Bryan’s speech from this past Monday’s Raw where he relinquished the IC title and said he may be forced to retire to WWE if his health doesn’t get better. Bo Dallas came to the ring and talked about how this may be the last we ever see of the beloved Daniel Bryan. He talked about five stages of grief including denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Dallas said we all need to accept Bryan is never coming back. Neville made his ring entrance.

Neville defeated Bo Dallas via pinfall. The fight ended up outside and Dallas was able to get the apprehend when he yanked Neville off the apron to the floor. He used the apron to his advantage and kept hitting punches on Neville. However, Neville made his comeback in the ring and delivered punches to Dallas and an enziguiri kick, followed by Red Arrow for the win.

Backstage, Rosa and Adam Rose were shown staring at one another. Rosa said the hot dog is staring at them. Rose asked the hot dog character to come over and tell him what is going on. The Hot Dog said he just wants to know when they’re going to get paid. Rose yelled at him, saying he’s just like the bunny, but it’s not all about the money, it’s about “high art.” Rose told him the party was officially over and threw the Hot Dog to the ground. Rose and Rosa started making out, just as Kane walked by who had a disgusted look on his face.

Kane made his entrance first and then Reigns came through the crowd. Kane went out to brawl with him at ringside, eventually tossing Reigns into the announce booth and the steel steps. Reigns was holding his shoulder before commercial break.

Roman Reigns defeated Kane via pinfall. In the late part of the match, Reigns escaped a Tombstone attempt by Kane then hit him with a Superman Punch. He followed with a Spear into Kane through the table in the corner and then took the pinfall for the win. Backstage, the cameras cut to Renee Young interviewing Seth Rollins about what the match he just saw does to his confidence heading into Payback. He said he isn’t taking anything away from Reigns but it will take much more than that to beat him Sunday.

Dean Ambrose came into the scene with a tray of cookies as Renee started to walk off. Ambrose and Rollins started to brawl with Ambrose getting a few shots in before J&J pulled him off. Reigns came rushing in to make a save with a rolling cart. The heels took off but Reigns and Ambrose were left there. Ambrose picked up the WWE title belt that Rollins left behind and put it on Reigns’ shoulder telling him “don’t worry I’ll take it on Sunday.”

Raw Results 05/04/15

Raw results from Montreal, Quebec:

The opening segment had Randy Orton come out to discuss the Triple Threat match for Payback. He said Roman Reigns was voted as part of it with him and Rollins and said Reigns will experience disappointment, but it’s not his problem. He said he’ll be walking out with the title and Rollins or Reigns won’t be able to do anything about it. Roman Reigns made his entrance through the crowd.

Reigns vowed that if anyone’s getting revenge at Payback it will be him. Reigns reminded Orton that the fans don’t fight for him. He said he doesn’t care what Orton does in the match but if he comes anywhere near him, he won’t be standing. Orton reminded him he’s a 12-time champ who’s appeared in 12 straight Manias. He told Reigns he’s got some catching up to do. Reigns brought up defeating Orton at SummerSlam and said he doesn’t mind breaking Orton in half to win the title. The two trashed talk off mic a bit until New Day’s music hit. They said this negativity has to stop and tried to get a group clap going. They told Reigns and Orton they’ll be facing all three members of New Day tonight, per Kane’s orders.

New Day defeated Randy Orton & Roman Reigns via pinfall in a non-title match. Reigns went for a spear on Kingston late, but Kofi moved away and Reigns caught Orton instead. Kofi took the pinfall on Orton for the win. Post-match, Kane came out and said Orton and Reigns will face off in the main event to further exploit their dislike for each other.

Backstage after break, Rollins was there with J&J Security as he told Kane The Authority is going to come back and punish Kane for what he’s been doing to him. Kane told some sadistic stories and then said due to what happened on Smackdown’s main event, he’s booking Rollins vs. Ambrose with J&J banned from ringside. Rollins was livid.

Renee Young interviewed Ryback in the ring who talked about facing the fear his career may have ended due to injuries. He said he’s not scared of Wyatt after all he’s faced. Wyatt came on the video promo talking about how Ryback acts like a force when he’s really a scared little boy. He said it’s all a facade and everything Ryback loves and is afraid to lose will fade away. “Run,” Wyatt closed the promo with.

Tyson Kidd & Cesaro defeated The Ascension via pinfall. Cesaro did his spinning move on Viktor late, then Kidd was able to land a kick on him to get the pinfall win.

After Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins made entrances for their match, Kane came out and announced that if Ambrose wins he is added to the Payback title match, making it a Fatal Four-Way. That enraged Rollins even more. Ambrose got on the mic and said it was a great idea, then polled the fans himself to see what they thought. Rollins grabbed the mic back and said he doesn’t have to listen to what anyone in Canada says because they don’t matter.

Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins via pinfall. Rollins threw Ambrose against the barricade late and got back in the ring. He assumed he’d won as the ref was counting up to nine, but Ambrose managed to slide back in the ring ahead of time, then hit his clothesline from the ropes. J&J Security tried to make a run in but were cleared out as Ambrose rolled up Rollins to get the win. With the win, Ambrose now joins the WWE title match at Payback with Orton, Reigns and Rollins to make it a Four-Way.

Backstage, Rollins continued to whine to Kane. Kane told him adversity will make him the champ they all want him to be and not to worry because he’s got a plan.

Byron Saxton interviewed Lana backstage about how it feels to get so much positive reaction from the fans lately. She said she didn’t know what he meant. Fandango entered and told her she needs to let it flow. He left and Rusev walked in looking displeased ahead of the upcoming match.

Rusev defeated Fandango via submission. At one point, Fandango did his trademark dance and Lana smiled at him then did the dance too. Rusev attacked Fandango and told Lana to head backstage. Moments later, he put the Accolade on Fandango to make him tap.

Stardust defeated R-Truth via pinfall. Stardust had brought a bag to the ring with him and put it in a corner. Late in the match, Truth went over and opened the bag, finding rubber spiders. The sight of them spooked him so much that Stardust was able to get the pinfall victory.

John Cena came out to “John Cena sucks” singing from the crowd during his theme song. He talked about how passionate they are and how they won’t give up, still rooting for the Quebec Nordiques after they left town. He threw in a Montreal Canadiens mention as the crowd chanted “Go Habs Go,” and Cena said it’s the sound of people who believe. Cena ended up issuing his open challenge, and Bret Hart’s music hit. He came to the ring to introduce a great wrestler he said, but then Heath Slater’s music hit and he came to the ring. Slater said he won’t let his moment to become US champ get steps on again. Slater eventually got hit over the head with the mic by Hart. Bret said he was there to introduce Montreal’s own, Sami Zayn. Zayn came to the ring for the match.

John Cena defeated Sami Zayn via pinfall to retain the United States Championship. The match lasted over 10 minutes. At one point, Cena hit an AA and Zayn kicked out at the final second. Later, Zayn hit his Blue Thunder Bomb and had a near fall. He traded punches with Cena, with Cena running the ropes and hitting his Springboard Stunner. Cena followed later with the AA to get the win. He helped Zayn up post-match and gave him praise for his effort including applause for him as he backed up the ramp.

Backstage, Renee was going to interview Sami Zayn but New Day interrupted. Tyson Kidd, Cesaro and Natalya came in saying they only won their earlier match due to Orton and Reigns disliking each other. Kidd started a “New Day sucks” clap.

The Bellas were headed to the ring for a match, but got jumped by Tamina Snuka and Naomi. Naomi said their reign over the divas division is over and this is what family is all about. Later, Cole noted that Tamina is related to Naomi’s husband Jimmy Uso.

Bad News Barrett made his entrance wearing his newly won cape and crown while holding his scepter. He called the fans “filthy commoners” and talked about it being a great week for royal family as Princess Charlotte was born and King Barrett was crowned. He said he will rule with an iron fist and deal with anyone disobeying his rule with a Bull Hammer.

Sheamus & King Barrett defeated Neville & Dolph Ziggler via pinfall. The late part of the match saw Barrett get kicked by Neville who then set up for his finisher. Sheamus got involved so Neville kicked him. That allowed Barrett a bit more recovery time so that when Neville tried for a springboard move, Barrett hit him with the Bull Hammer and then got the pinfall.

Roman Reigns & Randy Orton fought to a no contest due to outside interference. Before their match started, Kane walked out with Seth Rollins and J&J Security. Jamie Noble got up on the commentators table with a mic saying he’s the special announcer, while Mercury is the guest timekeeper, Kane is the ringside enforcer and Rollins is guest commentator. In the match, eventually they all got involved, trying to overpower Orton and Reigns in the ring. Dean Ambrose came running out to help Reigns and Orton clear out the heels. From there, Rollins was in the ring and Reigns hit a Spear on him. Orton hit an RKO on Reigns, but then Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on Orton to stand tall as the show closed out with his music playing.

Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper - Chicago Street Fight

The match eventually went outside the ring and then backstage. Harper got into an SUV of some sort parked at the garage exit. He got in the driver's seat to start up the car but Ambrose jumped in the passenger side as it drove out the garage exit. The commentators were shown looking baffled as to how the match was going to finish with no cameraman or ref with them.

Backstage, Triple H was texting someone on his phone when Kane came in. HHH told him to go find Harper and Ambrose. Just then, Rollins walked in. He and Kane got into a bit of a war of words. HHH told Kane to get on the same page as Rollins tonight. Kane reluctantly agreed after telling Rollins he's been an ungrateful punk since winning the title.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Sheamus via pinfall in a Kiss Me Arse Match.

Sheamus went for a Brogue Kick late but Ziggler avoided it for a near fall. Moments later, Ziggler got the inside cradle pinfall win. Post-match, Sheamus kept ducking out in disgust not wanting to honor the stipulation. At one point, Dolph set up with Sheamus kneeling down behind him to kiss his arse. Instead, Sheamus hit a low blow and attacked Ziggler. He got the mic and said he wasn't going to kiss Dolph's arse in this awful town. Sheamus, move aside part of his trunks and then rubbed Ziggler's face on his arse instead before leaving the ring and going backstage to boos.

Big E and Kofi Kingston defeated Tyson Kidd and Cesaro via pinfall to become new tag team champions.

Late in the match, Cesaro had control but Woods got up on the apron to interfere. The ref told him to get down, and then Natalya came over to slap him. Tyson Kidd rushed over to kick him down to the floor. Cesaro set up for the winning move but Big E came in to disrupt it. Moments later, Kofi was able to roll up Cesaro from behind to steal a win, making New Day the new champs.

Backstage: Renee Young interviewed the new champs who said A New Day is going to start now. Just as they were doing a “New Day, New Champs” chant, the black SUV from earlier that had Harper and Ambrose in it came crashing into the nearby scene. Harper fell out in front of New Day. Dean Ambrose climbed up on top of the SUV and jumped off taking out all of New Day. He and Harper ended up going back out to the ring.

Dean Ambrose defeated Luke Harper via pinfall in the Chicago Street Fight.

Back in the ring, about ten chairs ended up in play, with Harper able to knock Ambrose onto the mat and pile chair after chair on top of him. Harper climbed up onto the corner to jump but Ambrose busted out from under the chairs, rushed over and slammed Harper from the corner onto the chairs. From there, he hit Dirty Deeds and took the pinfall cover to win.

Rusev vs. John Cena (C) - United States Championship Russian Chain Match

The rules had Cena and Rusev chained together with the winner having to tap all four corners of the ring in succession while chained to their opponent. At one point, the crowd was chanting “We Want Lana” so she got up on the apron to acknowledge the chants. Rusev got upset and told her to get down and motioned for her to head backstage. A distraught Lana walked up the ramp and backstage as the crowd started a “No” chant. Back in the ring, Cena hit a backbreaker and then eventually put on the STF until Rusev seemed out. Cena managed to touch 3 corners of the ring to bring up green lights, but Rusev rolled out of the ring to prevent the 4th one. The close saw Cena able to tap two corners and Rusev able to reach two. They each tapped a third with the court one up for grabs. Cena managed to yank Rusev away from reaching it, then hit the AA before tapping the final corner for the win.

Daniel Bryan vs. Bad News Barrett - Intercontinental Championship

Nikki Bella defeated Naomi via pinfall to retain the WWE Divas Championship.

At one point, Naomi put a full nelson on Nikki and then dropped down to the mat to stun her, before wrapping her legs around her torso, twisting and making a pinfall cover. The ref pulled Nikki away from Naomi at one point because she was in the ropes. With Naomi hanging out of the ropes towards the end, Brie delivered a kick to her with the commentators saying it was payback from before. Nikki grabbed Naomi and hit the Rack Attack to get the pinfall win.

Roman Reigns defeated Big Show in a Last Man Standing Match.

Two tables were set up outside the ring, with Show able to toss Reigns out and through them late in the match. Reigns still managed to get up and remain in the match. Later, Show went over and ripped up the steel steps and then the commentators table with JBL, King and Cole all getting up to avoid harm. Back in the ring, he had Reigns against a table set up in the ring. Show charged and tried to jump on him for a splash with Reigns moving aside and Show crashing through the table. The ref started a count but both guys got up with Reigns connecting on a big Spear. On the outside of the ring, Show was leaning against the timekeeper barricade area. Reigns rushed around the ring and then landed a Spear to crash Show through the barricade. Both guys got up yet again.

Moments later, Show grabbed Reigns and stood on the commentators table to try a chokeslam. Reigns elbowed out and got off the table, then set up for a Spear which he landed by running up some nearby steps and crashing Show through the table. Show managed to get up to beat the official’s count, but Reigns was able to lift up the announce table and shove it over on top of Show’s lower half. With Show pinned under the table, the ref started counting. Reigns stood on the table for extra weight as the ref’s count hit 10.

Backstage segment: Kane was walking backstage when he came upon Randy Orton. Orton told him they’ve known each other for a decade or so and fought side-by-side and against one another. Orton suggested that Kane needs to do the right thing for himself tonight because The Authority will just keep using him.

Cameras cut back to the carnage at ringside from the previous match with Cole, JBL and King still standing up to commentate. They introduced a promo video about the new WWE Tough Enough.

Bo Dallas came out to cut a promo about how bad Chicago is and the negative things they are #1 in. The crowd started getting on him and he went to deliver his “All you gotta do is Bo-“ line when Ryback’s music hit. Ryback came to the ring and ran through several moves including Shell Shocked on Dallas to get the crowd in a frenzy. He led them in a “Feed Me More” chant to close the segment.

Byron Saxton started interviewing Rusev backstage, but Rusev started yelling into the mic that Cena is a cheater and has never beat him. Lana showed up and Rusev asked her something in Russian. She said "It is done, the final chapter of Rusev vs. Cena will come at Payback in an I Quit Match." Rusev gloated saying that is the perfect match for him to defeat Cena and his American pride. Rusev walked off with Lana trailing behind.

Seth Rollins defeated Randy Orton by escaping the cage through the door in a WWE Championship Steel Cage Match. Orton's RKO move was banned from use in the match. Kane will serve as "gatekeeper" outside the cage door.

Rollins made attempts to get out of the cage at one point going for the door with Kane having to unlock it. Orton grabbed him to prevent it. Again, Rollins tried to scale the cage, but Orton climbed up to fight him down. Rollins hit a quick move to drop Rollins to the mat then ran and hit him with an elbow in the corner of the ring.

Late in the match, Orton had Rollins down so he dropped to the mat and began to pound his fists like he does to set up for the RKO. Rollins stood up staggering and Orton kicked him in the gut, then set up and hit the Pedigree to mock HHH. He took the pinfall but Rollins managed to kick out last second. With Rollins down near the cage door, Orton looked at Kane for a moment at the door. Orton moved back then prepared for a punt kick. He ran and went for it but Rollins moved out of harm’s way, then landed a kick to drop Orton. Rollins told Kane to open the door, which Kane did. The champ started to crawl for the opening but Orton grabbed him and hit a backbreaker.

Orton saw Rollins was down then saw the open door and walked over to exit. Kane pushed the door closed and held it. Orton screamed at him asking what he was doing. Rollins charged for Orton who moved aside causing Rollins to kick the door and knock Kane to the floor. Moments later, Kane slammed the door on both Rollins and Orton. He ripped off his suit jacket at ringside and got into the ring enraged. J&J followed him in telling him to stop but he hit a double chokeslam on them. A few moments later he went over and looked at Orton and Rollins on the mat. He put up his hand for a chokeslam then reached down and grabbed Orton, picked him up and hit the move. Rollins got up and went for the door, but Kane grabbed him and hit another chokeslam on him.

Kane rolled Rollins on top of Orton thinking it was the winning pinfall. As Kane went to exit, Orton kicked out at the last second. Kane turned and went to grab Orton again, but Orton retaliated and hit the RKO on Kane. Rollins was back to his feet and delivered an RKO on Orton, then crawled out the open cage door with both Kane and Orton down.

Rollins fell to the floor clutching the championship belt. The commentators bickered over Orton using an RKO in the match on Kane, with King saying Kane wasn't part of the match and JBL saying it didn't matter. King said he thought the RKO was banned, but JBL said it wasn't banned for Seth to use it. Cole wished fans good night from Chicago.

Rollins also mocked Kane a bit as the “gatekeeper” for Sunday’s cage match, which brought Kane out in his business suit. Kane told Rollins he might want to think twice about talking down to him, and Rollins kept up the cocky trash talk. Kane said since he did a favor for Rollins by laying down, he wants Rollins to return the favor in a match, next.

Seth Rollins and Kane match never happened. Kane demanded Rollins adhere his instructions to lay down or he’d rip his guts out. Dean Ambrose came out for the match.

As Ambrose came out, so did Luke Harper. Ambrose ended up fighting Harper and beating him up on the announce table. Rollins got involved as he and J&J Security overwhelmed Ambrose. Roman Reigns came out to make a save with Seth Rollins dodging the Superman Punch.

New Day came out to cut a promo talking trash about the people not being positive enough and not clapping enough. Big E talked about the tag champs Cesaro and Kidd not embracing the positive message. Xavier Woods compared New Day to a medicine that doesn’t taste good going down, but cures any problem you might have. New Day said once they become new tag champs things will be more positive in WWE.

Kofi Kingston defeated Cesaro via pinfall. The match lasted just about a minute and a half. Cesaro was going to go for a Cesaro Swing at one point but didn’t get to it as a distraction broke out. Kofi was able to hit his Trouble in Paradise for the win.

Sting vs. Triple H

Triple H made his entrance complete with Terminator-style robots rising up alongside him. He arrived out wearing a skeleton mask and arms in Terminator style, and then had an intro from Arnold Schwarzenegger saying "This is Judgment Day." Lilian Garcia announced the only way to win is by pinfall or submission. Michael Cole listed off Sting's various accomplishments with WCW, but ignored referring to anything TNA.

During the match, Sting had the upperhand and put on the submission hold. Out of nowhere, DX theme music hit and out came Billy Gunn, Road Dogg and X-Pac. Each man got punched or knocked off the apron. HHH tried to hit a Pedigree but Sting backdropped him out of the ring. From there, The Icon dove out on top of everyone to crash in a pile. Back in the ring, HHH reset and hit the Pedigree, but Sting kicked out. A frustrated HHH went out and got his sledgehammer since there were no DQ’s. More theme music hit and it was the NWO. Out came Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan and Scott Hall wearing black and white NWO shirts. The three older legends walked down the ramp to confront DX, knocking them down at the bottom of the ramp as Cole yelled “The Monday Night War has come to WrestleMania!” In the ring, Sting grabbed HHH and hit the Scorpion Deathlock, but HHH kicked out. Sting put the submission on him and HHH tried to grab the sledgehammer but Hogan pulled it away. The DX and NWO guys all fought outside the ring while Sting kept the submission on HHH in the ring. Triple H eventually reached and grabbed a bottom rope to break it.

Out of nowhere, Shawn Michaels appeared in the ring wearing a DX shirt. Sting turned and saw him just as Michaels hit the Sweet Chin Music. Michaels hit a DX crotch chop and left the ring as Triple H rolled on top of Sting. The ref counted with Sting barely breaking out of the pin.

Triple H crawled on top of Sting and made the surprising pinfall win. Post-match, the members of DX helped up HHH while NWO helped up Sting. They faced each other from opposite corners. HHH walked to center ring and extended his hand for Sting. Sting shook as the two shared some words.

Winner: Triple H defeated Sting via pinfall.

Backstage, Maria Menounous interviewed new IC title holder Daniel Bryan who spoke about how great it was to win for the first time. He was interrupted first by Pat Patterson congratulating him and then Rowdy Roddy Piper. Ric Flair stopped by next, followed by Ricky The Dragon Steamboat and Bret Hart. They all started up a “Yes” chant, but then Ron Simmons came in and looked at them, drawing silence. Maria asked if he ever won the IC title. Simmons looked around a moment then yelled “DAMN” into the mic before walking off. They started back up their “Yes” chant again.

They had a performance by Travis Barker, Skylar Grey and rapper Kid Ink.

Paige & AJ Lee vs. The Bella Twins

Paige & AJ Lee defeated The Bella Twins via submission. The early story was the Bellas isolating Paige to wear her down as they knocked AJ off the apron several times to get rid of a tag partner for Paige. Eventually, Paige threw both Bellas to the outside and then dove onto them from the apron. She managed to crawl over and escape Nikki to make a hot tag to AJ. AJ took it to Nikki, with Paige grabbing Brie on the outside and tossing her into the ring steps. From there, AJ slapped on her Black Widow and Nikki eventually tapped giving Paige and AJ the big win.

Winners: Paige & AJ Lee defeated The Bella Twins via submission.

They showed highlights from last night's WWE Hall of Fame 2015 induction ceremony. Members of the 2015 Hall of Fame were all introduced on stage in front of the WrestleMania crowd including Rikish, Larry Zbyszko, Alundra Blayze, Steve Michalek on behalf of his son Connor "The Crusher" Michalek, The Bushwackers, Tatsumi Fujinami, Lanny Pofo on behalf of his brother Macho Man Randy Savage, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kevin Nash.

John Cena vs. Rusev - United States Championship Match

The close saw Cena power up with Rusev holding The Accolade on him. Cena broke out of it. Lana tried to cause some interference on the apron. The ref started to try to get her to get off the apron. Meanwhile, Rusev charged at Cena who stepped aside with the ref. Instead, Rusev bumped Lana who flew off the apron and onto the outside floor near the ramp. Rusev was distracted and Cena grabbed him to hit a winning Attitude Adjustment and the pinfall. Post-match, Rusev yelled at Lana who was being checked on by refs and medical staff. Rusev walked off without her, still angry at his first loss and losing the title. Cena went over and kissed some family members in the front row.

Winner: John Cena defeated Rusev via pinfall to become new United States Champion.

Stephanie announced a new record of 76,976 in attendance for the event. Triple H gloated about defeating Sing and all of the fans watching there and around the world tonight. He said he owns Sting, just like they own all the superstars, divas and fans. Triple H said The Authority always wins. Just then, The Rock’s theme music hit and out came The Rock to interrupt.

Rock said HHH doesn’t own the people backstage and damn sure doesn’t own him. He talked about how they can talk all this trash or simply create another WrestleMania moment. HHH got in Rock’s face and said they had a hell of a rivalry, but he remembers kicking Rock’s butt for most of it. He said he has nothing to prove and walked away. Rock told him it sounds like he left his balls in Stamford, CT. HHH took off his jacket and prepared to fight, but Stephanie got in between them and reminded Rock that he wouldn’t be anywhere if not for the McMahons. Rock made a comment that Steph wouldn't be in power if not for Vince McMahon's "Johnson." Steph shook her head for a few moments then said "still crass as always" and slapped Rock in the face. She asked what he was going to do about it, hit a woman? Steph told Rock to leave, and he got out of the ring and went up the ramp, but stopped, then walked back to ringside.

Rock walked over the crowd and stopped at Ronda Rousey of the UFC who was in the front row. They shared a look and then Rock invited her over the barrier and into the ring with them. Rousey obliged. Steph tried to pretend that she and Ronda were friends, but Rhonda shook that off. Ultimately, Triple H said he was getting fed up with this whole routine. He tried to walk over and strike Rock, but Rock fought back and beat up HHH in the corner. HHH went across the ring and Rhonda threw him down with an armbar takedown. Steph yelled at Rhonda over what just happened, and tried to hit her, but Rhonda grabbed Steph into an armlock several times. She eventually let go and Steph rolled out of the ring to HHH to back up the ramp. Rock got on the mic to say that was the WrestleMania moment of the night with The Rock and Ronda laying the SmackDown on The Authority.

The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt

Wyatt arrived out carrying his lantern down the ramp and was trailed by staggering faceless scarecrows who acted like zombies. Wyatt stopped at one who was motionless on the ramp, tapped it on the forehead and it was able to follow along with the others to the ring.

Late in this one as both guys were worn down, Taker hit a huge clothesline and then stumbled near the ropes. He signaled the cutthroat and then picked up Wyatt for a Tombstone Piledriver. Taker had the cover, but Wyatt kicked out of it to everyone’s surprise. Taker signaled another cutthroat and went for a Tombstone but Bray reversed to hit Sister Abigail for a near fall of his own. The WWE Network video feed cut out but audio stayed on. Later, Wyatt went for Sister Abigail again, but Taker countered and hit the Tombstone Piledriver another time on Wyatt. This time, the pin was good for the win, giving Taker a 22-1 record at Mania. JBL yelled “The Deadman does it again!”

Winner: The Undertaker wins via pinfall over Bray Wyatt.

Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar (WWE Championship)

Reigns hit another big Spear on Lesnar but was recovering near the corner. Just then, Seth Rollins’ theme music hit and he arrived out with the MITB briefcase sans J&J Security. Rollins headed down to the ring quickly as both wrestlers were still on the ring mat. He handed over the briefcase to the ref, who gave it to the outside. Lilian announced that Seth was cashing in for the championship, making this a Triple Threat. He went over and kicked Rollins out of the ring, then set up in the corner. As Lesnar started to got on his hands and feet, Rollins rushed over and hit a Curb Stomp on him. He went over to check the outside for Reigns to make sure he was down, then went for a second Curb Stomp on Brock. This time, Brock caught him and prepared for the F5. Just then, Reigns came in and Speared down Brock for a pinfall. Rollins hit the ropes, came over and Curb Stomped Reigns, then pinned him for the win with Brock out of it. Rollins posed at top of the stage with the WWE Championship as fireworks went off in the stadium to celebrate his victory.

Winner: Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns via pinfall in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship.

Raw Results 03/23/15

Raw results from Los Angeles, CA:

The opening segment had Sting come to the ring to talk about how it feels to kick off Raw, and about that he isn’t here to fight for WCW, because that’s pointless now. He said he’s there to take down Triple H. Stephanie came out to interrupt and called Sting a big fish in a tiny little pond at WCW. She said he lost his dignity and pride when WCW was lost, and he’ll lose whatever’s left of it at WrestleMania against HHH when he gets pinned. Steph called him a face-painted freak, but Sting let out a “Woooo!” Steph went to slap him, with Sting stopping her by grabbing her by the arm.

Triple H’s music hit and he arrived out, removing his tie as he came to ringside to check on Steph’s wrist. She eventually gave HHH the sledgehammer. Sting revealed he had the bat. HHH backed off from getting in the ring and went up the ramp with Stephanie, as Sting continued to motion for HHH to get in the ring with him.

Dean Ambrose & R-Truth defeated Luke Harper & Stardust via pinfall. Truth got control of Stardust late, but Harper broke up a pin attempt. Ambrose came in and they all brawled, with Ambrose taking Harper out of the ring. Truth hit his finisher on Stardust for the win.

Titus O'Neil, Darren Young, Ryback, Zack Ryder & Erick Rowan defeated The Miz, Mizdow, Adam Rose & The Ascension. ESPN’s Bill Simmons joined the commentary team and talked about wanting to do an E60 documentary about Andre the Giant. He also helped Cole promote WWE Network. In the match, Ryback was able to gain control against Miz, hitting a Meathook clothesline and then Shell Shocked for the win.

Fans voted on Randy Orton’s opponents for the night. Seth Rollins along with J&J Security won the poll overwhelmingly over Kane and then Big Show.

Randy Orton defeated Seth Rollins, Jamie Nobiel and Joey Mercury via pinfall. The match lasted a bit over three minutes with Orton getting the best of J&J in the ring late as Rollins was on the outside. Orton hit a double draping DDT. Rollins attempted to sneak back in, but Orton saw him first so Rollins ran away. Orton finished Noble with an RKO to win.

Nikki Bella defeated Paige via pinfall to retain the Divas title. The match was over 10 minutes long, with a mishap at ringside. AJ Lee and Brie Bella were ringside, with Lee taking out Brie late. Paige went near AJ outside the ring and got elbowed in the face with AJ seeming to do it on accident. Nikki took advantage, bringing Paige back in the ring for a Rack Attack and the pinfall. Post-match, Paige attacked AJ, punching at her. The two rolled around a bit before refs separated them.

They had a segment with Snoop Dogg in the ring to hype up WrestleMania 31. Curtis Axel interrupted, coming to the ring to talk about AxelMania and insulting Snoop’s lyrics. Snoop said Axel is missing the most important Mania of them all. Hulk Hogan’s music hit and he came out to the ring. Hogan joked with Snoop asking what Axel is smoking over here? Axel ripped off his shirt before trying to attack Hogan, but Hogan blocked and punched Axel. Snoop was able to toss Axel out of the ring, then ripped off his shirt to reveal a Hogan shirt. He and Hogan posed in the ring to close the segment.

Los Matadores & El Torito defeated Tyson Kidd, Cesaro and Natalya. Usos were on guest commentary. Torito was able to counter Nat’s power bomb attempt and rolled her up into a pinfall for the win.

They had a backstage segment where Kane told Bad News Barrett to hand over the IC title so it could be hung above the ring. He said if he doesn’t comply, he’ll be stripped of the title. Barrett called it a travesty, but Kane joked he didn’t know why he’s so upset, all he has to do is beat six other men in a ladder match.

Cole reminded fans that on SmackDown the main event is John Cena tagging with Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, and Mark Henry to take on Bray Wyatt, Seth Rollins, Big Show and Kane.

Rusev defeated Jack Swagger via submission in a non-title match. Lane was not at ringside as she is shooting a movie. Rusev won in over four minutes, using the Accolade to make Swagger tap out. He kept the hold on after the match, but John Cena’s music hit. Cena rushed the ring to attack. Rusev got the upperhand and shoved Cena into the barricade near the ring. He kicked Cean in the face, before tearing the announcers’ table up and putting Cena on it for The Accolade. Rusev posed after releasing the hold.

Bray Wyatt came down to stand in the ring with a spotlight shining on him while the rest of the arena was dark. He talked about people not liking the person they’ve become and that they’re all liars. He said he may be a lot of things, but a liar isn’t one of them. He said the sword of truth will cut through the deception of your world. He said Undertaker is like them, a liar, denying that he wants his soul set free. Wyatt called himself the one to take him back to the other side. Undertaker’s lightning flickered and Wyatt said that’s what the fans are addicted to, but the lights and demons belong to him now. He went up the ladder in the ring where the IC title was hanging up. The rest of the ladder match participants came out to get in a brawl. Eventually, Harper shoved a ladder over when Stardust and Ambrose were on it. The ladder bounced back to land on Harper’s leg. He rolled out of the ring holding his leg in pain.

Paul Heyman arrived out with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar for the final segment. Heyman put over his client for the WrestleMania main event, saying if you want to see him put a beating on another human being, this is the fight to watch. He said Brock has made failures of all others put in his path. He also mentioned that John cent is not the main event at WrestleMania this year, Brock Lesnar is. Heyman concluded by mocking Roman Reigns’ catchphrase line. Reigns’ music hit and he arrived out to the ring to stare down Lesnar. Lesnar held up his title belt to brag a bit, before Reigns snatched it away and held it up, drawing boos. The two men tugged on the belt between them, glaring at each other as Raw went off the air.
