Early Wrestlemania 23 Ideas..

Wrestlemania is several months away, but why not speculate on some good matches for the event..you know, what the fans want to see..here's some ideas:

1)The Rock vs John Cena - It would be great to see The Rock come back into the ring. And what better a spectacle than to battle Cena at Wrestlemania. Both guys are Hollywood types now, and both are two of the top wrestlers from WWE. Would make for a classic matchup.

2)Undertaker vs Batista - Cage match - Who wouldn't want to see these two tangle in the cage, for the belt? I think it would be interesting in that the Undertaker is undefeated in Wrestlemanias..So Batista would have his hands full. Make it Hell in a Cell and its even more interesting..

3)Triple H vs Umaga for WWE Championship - I can't get over how cool it was seeing Triple H take it to the giant Umaga on Monday Night Raw a few nights ago. I think this would provide another classic matchup. The Game vs the monster Uganda..And the Game reclaiming that title he has held so often..

4)Fatal 4 Way for US Championship - Benoit vs MVP vs Finlay vs Mr. Kennedy - Enough of the Guerrero/Benoit feud. Let's see these guys all battle it out for that US Title. You have the classic superstar Benoit defending against some of the cockier Smackdown stars around. It would be a good push for MVP to finally win a title, although WWE seems to like faces winning titles at Wrestlemania lately.


5)Kendrick/London vs. The Hardy's - Two great tag teams who the fans love. Make it interesting and make it a TLC Match. The encounter they had at Armageddon was classic and this would be too.

6)Johnny Nitro vs. Kenny vs Chris Masters - Triple threat Intercontinental title - I threw this in mainly to make something new. Its too often we get Carlito or Shelton Benjamin in these matchups. Why not have these 3 stars battle it out for that belt?

7)Kane vs. Khali - Undertaker has faced him, now it's Kane's turn. Make it some special match like Buried alive, and get rid of Khali :)

8)Victoria vs Melina - Women's title - As I wrote in an earlier blog, Melina is the nastiest of valets/ring girls. She used to really take it to her opponents but recently has been portrayed as weaker in ring. I think she has the nastyness to make a great women's champ and this match would pit 2 of the toughest women in WWE now.

9)Randy Orton vs Edge - This seems inevitable based upon the weird look on Orton's face on Raw after Edge said he was setting sights higher. The classic jealous tag partners, fighting to show who's the better.

Of course alot of this depends on how the titles have shaken out by then, who's left the scene, come back, etc etc. It's not unreasonable to expect DX is tag champs then, but HHH is so much cooler in his own singles main events.. There would have to be several other matchups, including cruiserweight and ECW, but these would be some matches that could make Wrestlemania interesting again..
