Statement From McMahon Family

Executive Vice President and General Counsel for WWE, Inc., Ed Kaufman, made a statement on behalf of the McMahon family earlier today on WWE.com. No questions were taken from the press in attendance at the time.

From WWE.com:

"On behalf of the McMahon family I would like to thank everyone who has sent their support and best wishes over the past week. Federal authorities are currently investigating the events that took place on June 11 and we hope to get some answers shortly. As many of you can understand, this is a very difficult situation for the McMahon family and no family members wish to make a statement during this period of bereavement. Nonetheless, the McMahon family does want to assure the public that in keeping with the vision Mr. McMahon created, the company and the show will go on. We trust that the press and the public will continue to respect the McMahon family's privacy. Thank you very much."

The WWE corporate flag is also being flown at half mast at the Stamford, Connecticut headquarters of the WWE.

Look you stupid Marks, it's called a STORYLINE it's MAKE BELIEVE. DUH anyone with a half of a brain knows McMahon is still alive. They wanted to whack his CHARACTER you know the thing he PLAYED ON TV every week. It's a who dunnit storyline ripped off of daytime soaps and Dallas' Who shot JR. Get a grip people it's entertainment. And if you really believed Vince died Monday then you need some SERIOUS help.

i have to agree this is such bull. vince mcmahon has done nothing but , ruiened the wwe. i can't believe this .bring back the old school wrestling like when macho man and superfly and etc was around. i get better entertainment from the independent wrestling i go to sometimes . i'll believe vince is dead when an actual family member makes a statement themselves and show proof. this makes me really hate wrestling. thanks alot mcmahon family. now i am having to explain to my 11 year old child that this is fake and how stupid vince is for doing this. dumb asses !!!!!

If you watch the version on wwe.com of the firefighters putting out the fire it kind of sounds like vince is one of the firefighters.

It is really messed up how a show that is supposed to entertain has ruined the lives of so many children. This cheap stunt has made me tell my child that this is not real and this is something that he and I have enjoyed together for many years! I just want to say thanks to all the exec writers! They have lost alot of viewers behind a fake Saprano storyline!

Not sure what to think??? I have been watching since 70's and anything is possible with all the fake stuff they do. They like to leave the fans hanging for more. If it isn't try I think it is really wrong for doing what your doing and if it is true Please except my deepest condolence.

as an earlier comment posted says...If he were really thought to be dead or that the bombing was real...it would be all over the news. Its a stunt...for entertainment purposes.. I enjoy watching the wwe every monday, tuesday and friday...even tho the matches are fake... just being able to perform the moves these guys do on there, are incredible!
thats why i like to watch it.
Mcmahon took the failing WWF and turned it into the WWE and made it a big time money maker and very sucsesful.
However, this stunt is done in bad taste and really bothered my 11 yr old son to the point hes scared to watch now!!!
