Summerslam Match Changes
Prowrestling.com has informed fans that the MVP vs Matt Hardy Summerslam match will not take place, and a new match was added:
- As things currently stand there will not be a MVP vs. Matt Hardy match at Sunday’s SummerSlam pay-per-view. The reason for this being is WWE was not sure on whether or not MVP would be ready to work due to his health situation and did not want to commit him to a match. Look for WWE to continue to build the Hardy/MVP feud and have a bout between the two at next month’s Unforgiven pay-per-view.
- For those of you who have not heard, WWE has added Finlay vs. Kane to SummerSlam this Sunday.
The most interesting thing here is they are allowing MVP to keep his US championship belt. It doesn't make sense because we've seen guys like Batista and Edge have to turn their belts over due to injury. I understand that MVP isn't out for months, but still doesn't make sense. Why not have MVP vacate the belt at Summerslam, and then have Hardy fight someone like Chris Masters, with the winner getting the belt?
As for Finlay vs. Kane, I think I'd prefer a Boogeyman vs. Big Daddy V matchup or a tag team title defense match here. We all know who will take the Kane vs Finlay match, unless its a DQ/interference. What do you think should take the place of MVP vs Hardy?

Definetly Big Daddy V versus Boogeyman, with Big Daddy V the victor.
I THINK MVP SHOULD GIVE UP THE TITLE FOR ALL THOSE EXCUSES.

I think Matt should still have a slot at Summerslam. maybe a challenge that MVP throws out or something or make MVP give up his title and have a battle royal for it.
i think the best thing for the mvp and matt hardy angle is for mvp to pick a representative for himself and have that man fight for him for the title. Hardy would win and mvp could complain that he never actually "lost" the belt.
This is BOGUS!!! MVP is nothing but a whiny little baby! The WWE knows whether he is fit to wrestle or not and since he has this "condition" he should like every other major player be forced to give up his title. That's not saying just give it to Matt, I know he wouldn't want to "win" it like that, but do like what they did after the Benoit incident and have a #1 contenders match for the title then at Unforgiven those top two battle it out for the Title. This is why WWE is losing viewers, I mean come on I understand that these guys and gals do get injured but come on we're not idiots!As a medical student I know about his "condition" and yes it has the POTENTIAL to cause serious harm to his heart, but up until now he has never had an abnormal EKG or any other abnormal results from fitness tests done by WWE or as I would also assume his regular physician. I don't like the guy's gimmick but I don't want him to die either because his character is a jackass! I want the one thing that the WWE will more than likely never give us, the truth on the matter. I understand due to HIPPA compliance his doctors cannot release info without his permission but an update on how the treatment went and if he is going to need to undergo surgery to repair the "extra" electrical conduction his heart created probably as a child, would be nice. If he does need to undergo surgery all the more reason to hold the type of match I previously mentioned! Give it up or fight it out! End of story!
I agree with those saying the title should be vacated. Put a ladder match into the lineup featuring Hardy and two other wrestlers. It is after all the biggest Pay Per View after Wrestlemania..Give the fans a treat..not that Kane isn't a fan favorite..
I agree with what Lady turtle has in her blog but you have make it blockbuster. Have it be a sub-fight like as in the boxing thing. However have MVP select two people to the dismay of Matt Hardy. Make it: Matt Hardy v Chris Masters and Big Daddy V with of Boogeyman coming down and interfering to build the feud some more. It cause a distraction. Matt hits the Twist of Fate on Chris Masters and pins him for the US title.
