2015 WWE SummerSlam Results (Final)

Here are the quick 2015 WWE SummerSlam results. The latest pro wrestling pay-per-view took place in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center, home of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. The main event featured Brock Lesnar versus The Undertaker in a rematch from their clash at WrestleMania 30 where Lesnar ended Taker’s undefeated Streak.

Sheamus defeated Randy Orton via pinfall. Sheamus hit two Brogue Kicks to get the win.

New Day defeated Los Matadores via pinfall to become new tag team champions. Kofi stole a pinfall on one of Los Matadores after Titus O’Neil took them down and then was taken out of the ring by Big E.

Stephen Amell & Neville defeated Stardust & King Barrett via pinfall. Amell hit a big dive out onto Barrett and Stardust late, then Neville hit Red Arrow on Neville in the ring for the win.

Dolph Ziggler and Rusev fought to a double contout. Ziggler hit a Super Kick on Rusev on the outside but couldn’t beat the count back in.

Ryback defeated The Miz via pinfall to retain the Intercontinental Title. Big Show landed a KO punch on Miz then got taken to the outside by a Ryback clothesline. Ryback pinned Miz for the win.

Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose defeated Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt via pinfall. Late in the match, Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on Wyatt and then Reigns hit a Spear on him to get the win.

Seth Rollins defeated John Cena via pinfall to become new U.S. Champion. Rollins now holds both the U.S. and WWE World Heavyweight titles. Jon Stewart cost Cena the match as he hit him in the gut with a steel chair when the ref was knocked out. Rollins hit a Pedigree with Cena on the chair for the win.

Team PCB defeated Team Bella via pinfall to win the Triple Threat Elimination match. Brie scored the first pinfall on Tamina to eliminate Team BAD, then Becky pinned Brie later to win the match for PCB.

Kevin Owens defeated Cesaro via pinfall. Owens hit a spinning move with Cesaro off the corner and then the Pop-up Powerbomb for the win.

The Undertaker defeated Brock Lesnar via submission. Late in the match, Lesnar had Taker in the Kimora Lock. It appeared Taker tapped out, and the timekeeper rang the bell. The ref yelled that he had not called for it. With the ref’s back turned, Taker hit a low blow on Lesnar then put him into Hell’s Gate. Lesnar eventually passed out and Taker was awarded the win.

Raw Results 08/17/15

Here are tonight’s quick match results for the August 17, 2015 episode of Monday Night Raw. This latest Raw took place at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota less than one week before SummerSlam 2015. Full match recaps available here at RingsideResults.com website.

Cesaro & Randy Orton defeated Sheamus & Kevin Owens via pinfall. Orton got the pinfall on Sheamus after hitting the RKO.

Roman Reigns defeated Luke Harper via pinfall. Reigns hit a Superman Punch and Spear on Harper. Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt were ringside.

Becky Lynch defeated Tamina via submission.

Ryback defeated The Miz via pinfall in a non-title match. Ryback hit Shellshocked for the win with Big Show watching from guest commentary.

Rusev defeated Mark Henry via submission with The Accolade. Summer Rae got slapped down by Lana in the ring after the match. Rusev tried to intimidate Lana in the ring but Dolph Ziggler showed up for a big save. Later, he announced backstage he'll take on Rusev at SummerSlam.

John Cena showed up and both he and Rollins signed the contract for the Title vs. Title match. With HHH in the ring, Cena informed Rollins he will defeat him for his 16th championship reign to break the record of HHH's mentor, Ric Flair. HHH gave Rollins several looks at the end of the segment with Cole saying "The pressure's on."

Sasha Banks defeated Nikki Bella in a non-title match via submission. Team BAD and Brie/Alicia Fox were ringside.

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar were on hand to address SummerSlam and Undertaker’s demise at the event. Taker showed up and chokeslammed then Tombstoned Lesnar to close the show.

SmackDown Results 08/13/15

Here are the quick results for the latest episode of Smackdown. You can find complete match-by-match results for the show at our newest site, RingsideResults.com. The Thursday episode of SmackDown aired live on SyFy from Portland, Oregon.

Charlotte defeated Naomi via submission. Charlotte put on the Figure Eight to make Naomi tap out.

Roman Reigns defeated Luke Harper via submission. Bray Wyatt interfered late to cause the DQ as Reigns had the pinfall.

Prime Time Players defeated New Day via pinfall in a non-title match. Darren Young hit a gut buster late in the match to get the winning pinfall. Los Matadores and Lucha Dragons came out late in the match to confront both teams.

Seth Rollins & Kevin Owens defeated Cesaro & Neville via pinfall. Rollins grabbed a quick rollup for the win.

Smackdown results from Sacramento, CA:

WWE Smackdown Results for Aug. 6, 2015

The opening segment had Roman Reigns come out. He challenged Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper to tag match against him and Dean Ambrose at Summerslam. Rusev came out along with Summer Rae to interrupt and the two talked some trash. Reigns promised him a beatdown later tonight.

Mark Henry & Prime Time Players defeated The New Day via pinfall. Henry hit World’s Strongest Slam on Kofi Kingston for the win.

Naomi & Sasha Banks defeated Becky Lynch and Charlotte via pinfall.  This was originally a divas one on one match that became a tag match after some interference. In the end, Naomi grabbed Charlotte’s tights on a roll up pinfall for the win in a fourteen minute divas match.

Stardust defeated Zack Ryder via pinfall. Stardust hit the Queens Crossbow for the big win. Stardust continued his taunting of actor Stephen Arnell from the CW show "Arrow."

Roman Reigns defeated Rusev via pinfall. Late in the match, Reigns went for a rollup pinfall with Rusev kicking him with the super kick for a near fall of his own. Rusev was frustrated and went for another kick, missing it. Reigns came off the ropes and connected on a spear to take down Rusev for the pin. Post-match, Bray Wyatt appeared on the big screen clapping in a mock way about the win. Wyatt told Reigns to consider his challenge accepted and to bring his lunatic and he’ll bring his family. He told Reigns he should know by now that he welcomes this war.

Raw Results 08/03/15

Raw Results from San Jose, CA:

WWE Champ Seth Rollins came out and talked some trash about breaking Cena’s nose, and then said tonight he’s kicking off the first ever Open Challenge for his title. He said “come get some” and waited in the ring. Jo Jo interviewed him in the ring about who he might face. Rollins joked that the competitor must be under 6-0 tall and under 200 lbs. At first, El Torito’s music hit, but then it stopped and out came Neville. 

Seth Rollins defeated Neville via pinfall to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Title. In the match which lasted over 13 minutes, Neville was able to gain control and hit the Red Arrow on Rollins late. However, Rollins got a foot up on the rope to prevent a 3 count. Neville went for another Red Arrow, but Rollins moved away and then hit The Pedigree for the win.

New Day & The Ascension defeated Lucha Dragons & El Matadores via pinfall. Big E and Kingston represented New Day with Woods on the outside. Late in the match, Big E beat up several of the wrestlers at ringside. Xavier Woods tried to get involved in the match but Torito went after him. Torito got knocked off the apron and the distraction allowed Kingston to score the winning pin on Kalisto.

Charlotte & Becky Lynch defeated The Bella Twins via submission. Nikki hit a Spinebuster on Charlotte late but only got the two count. Charlotte was able to recover and put on the Figure Eight to make Nikki tap out. Cole noted that Charlotte just made the Divas champ tap.

The Miz hosted MizTV and brought up how Piper’s Pit paved the way for his own show. He said he will be the next Intercontinental Champion soon and suggested Ryback should do the honorable thing and vacate the title just like Daniel Bryan did when he was hurt. Miz had Kevin Owens as his first guest on the show. They talked about Cesaro and Owens said he thinks he’s jealous of him. Cesaro came out to interrupt without Miz introducing him. He talked about Owens being disrespectful. Owens said he’s done more in a few months than Cesaro’s done in all the years he’s been in WWE. Cesaro challenged Owens to a match. Miz tried to put his two cents in but Owens told him to let the people who could actually fight handle it. He shoved Miz into Cesaro on his way out. Cesaro started to fight Owens and went for a Cesaro Spin but Owens managed to get out of the ring.

Rusev defeated Mark Henry via pinfall. Summer Rae was ringside. Rusev managed to hit a kick to the face on Henry then pinned him. He kicked him again post-match.

Bray Wyatt interrupted the announce team for a promo. He talked some trash about Roman Reigns with Luke Harper standing by. Harper finished things saying they warned Ambrose and he chose wrong.

King Barrett defeated Zack Ryder via pinfall. Barrett was able to come back after a Broski Boot from Ryder. He hit a Bull Hammer and got the win.

Paul Heyman stood in the ring and set up footage of Undertaker picking a fight with Lesnar this time. They showed the big brawl between the two of them on Raw. Heyman introduced his client and Lesnar came to the ring and threw a part of the ring steps into the ring for good measure. He stood on the ring steps in the ring as Heyman continued the promo. He mentioned that Taker wanted a WM31 rematch with Brock but never got it because Vince turned him down knowing the same thing would happen again. Heyman told Taker he is “going to Suplex City” and will need an ambulance, a hospital and a year to recover. He said Lesnar will end his career and Taker will rest in piece at the hands of the conqueror.

Paige defeated Naomi via submission. Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Tamina and Sasha were all ringside. Naomi was in control late but Paige hit a cross body block. She eventually locked the PTO on to make Naomi tap.

Eden interviewed Stardust backstage. He said if Neville isn’t going to be his hero, then who will. He mimicked a bow and arrow. They showed a graphic indicating that actor Stephen Arnell from the CW show “Arrow” will be at Raw next week.

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Randy Orton defeated Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Sheamus via pinfall. Ambrose wore a Piper's Pit shirt in honor of the late Roddy Piper. The close of the match saw Reigns hit a Samoan Drop on Sheamus, followed by a few clotheslines and one that sent him out of the ring. Later, Orton was able to hit an RKO on Wyatt. Reigns hit a spear on Sheamus in the ring for the pinfall. Orton, Reigns and Ambrose all shook hands post-match to celebrate.

SmackDown Results 07/30/15

Smackdown results from Tulsa, OK:

Opening promo featured Seth Rollins starting things off to talk about his recent feud with John Cena. Cesaro came out to interrupt, saying Cena made him tap out, so he’d do the same right now.

Cesaro defeated Seth Rollins via disqualification. Kevin Owens got on guest commentary and eventually interfered in the match. He and Rollins did a two-on-one beatdown of Cesaro before refs broke it all up.

Lucha Dragons and Los Matadors defeated The Ascension and The New Day via pinfall. Late in the match, Kaliston landed a headscissors move into a pinfall on Viktor.

Rusev defeated Jack Swagger via submission. At one point, Swagger avoided a super kick to hit a Swagger Bomb. Rusev was able to connect on a super kick moments later and then stomped on Swagger. He locked in The Accolade and made Swagger tap out.

Stardust defeated R-Truth via pinfall. Stardust won using his new move called “The Queen’s Crossbow.” Post-match, he said R-Truth had failed this city and demanded for Neville to come save him before it was too late. Neville rushed down to make a save and eventually dove out onto Stardust, causing him to flee the scene.

Cesaro & Dean Ambrose defeated Kevin Owens & Seth Rollins via pinfall. Late in the match, Ambrose sent Rollins out of the ring but turned and ate a super kick via Owens. Owens went for the Popup Powerbomb but Cesaro pushed him into the ropes and then scored a rollup pin to get the big victory.

Raw Results 08/19/14

WWE Raw results from Las Vegas, NV:

The show opened with Stephanie McMahon coming to the ring and wearing a “Steph Steph Steph” shirt, then thanking the fans for chanting her name. She talked about how tonight Brock Lesnar would receive the brand new WWE title belt. First, she had Nikki Bella come out to talk about what happened last night. She talked about how Brie and her were supposed to team up against the world, but it didn’t happen that way. She talked about Brie always blaming her when they get in trouble as kids. She said she may have lost a sister but now she is free of the burden of Brie around her neck. She also insulted Daniel Bryan. Out came Brie to respond. She got in the ring and hugged Nikki saying she could still forgive her. Nikki laughed it off and slapped Brie, causing her to leave the ring in tears.

Mark Henry and Big Show defeated Luke Harper and Erick Rowan via pinfall. Show hit a knockout punch on Harper who came in to interfere. Show then fought a bit with Rowan, who fell back into Henry’s World’s Strongest Slam.

They had backstage interview segments with Dolph Ziggler and The Miz arguing, as well as Dean Ambrose ruining an interview with Rollins by dumping ice all over him and saying it was for charity. Rollins complained to HHH moments later about Ambrose. HHH said he’s letting the fans choose their rematch tonight and told Rollins to “finish it” with Ambrose.

Natalya defeated Paige via pinfall. AJ showed up during the match to skip around the ring, causing a distraction which allowed Natalya to steal the rollup pin.

HHH and Stephanie McMahon came to the ring and introduced the brand new title belt before Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman were introduced. They came to the ring shook hands and posed for pics with The Authority. Heyman then cut a lengthy promo about just how dominant Lesnar looked in his title win last night over Cena. He praised Cena for his “never give up” attitude and said he could see the suffering in his face from ringside. He said that if he had time, he might even make Cena a “Paul Heyman guy.” Heyman said a secret The Authority didn’t want fans to know is that John Cena can’t be there tonight due to the beating he suffered at the hands of Lesnar in last night’s title match. Heyman continued to boast about Lesnar being a one-man wrecking machine who lives by the words “Eat Sleep Conquer John Cena.”

The Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler via count out. Cole noted that Ziggler had issues with his knee in last night’s Summerslam match. It appeared the knee gave out on him when he leapfrogged Miz at one point. At one point, the two got into it on the apron, but Miz knocked Ziggler off balance by kicking his knee, causing Dolph to hit the outside floor. The ref eventually counted out the champion. Post-match, Miz attacked Ziggler for retaining the title. Ziggler managed to hit a Zig Zag but then began to clutch at his hurt knee again.

They had a backstage interview with Jack Swagger saying he failed last night to honor and defend his country. Replays had been shown of Rusev kicking down Zeb after his win last night. Swagger said when times are tough, the American people unite. He promised to pick himself up and come out swinging tonight.

Cesaro defeated Jack Swagger via pinfall. Late in the match, Swagger managed to get Cesaro in the Ankle Lock, but Cesaro was able to get to the ropes to break it. Moments later, Cesaro hit the Neutralizer for the win. Post-match, Cesaro made fun of Swagger’s limp. Bo Dallas made an entrance and then did a promo saying Swagger let 318 million Americans down last night. He said he lost his manager, self respect and his dignity, but he can have it all back if he just “Bo-lieves.”

Renee Young interviewed Chris Jericho backstage who said Bray Wyatt is like no other competitor he’s ever face, because he has an emptiness inside him and is dead inside. He said there’s three things Wyatt will never have though: the fire inside him, a fighting spirit and the best fans in WWE history. Jericho said the fans will always be behind him no matter what he does and that’s something no one can take away.

They noted that Main Event will feature Big Show versus Erick Rowan this week.

Roman Reigns, Sheamus & Rob Van Dam defeated Randy Orton, Ryback and Curtis Axel via pinfall. Late in the match, Reigns made a hot tag to RVD. RVD hit a variety of moves on Axel including a split-leg moonsault for a pinfall. Ryback came in to break it up, causing everyone to start brawling. Eventually, there was an exchange of various finishers in the ring, with RVD getting a Frog Splash onto Axel for the win.

They had a backstage segment with Orton walking and Ric Flair came up to him saying he wanted to talk about Roman Reigns. Orton told Flair he didn’t need his advice and to stay out of his way unless he wants to find out why they used to call him “the Legend Killer.”

Bray Wyatt had a promo backstage talking about defeating Jericho last night at SummerSlam. He said he might not have a soul, and his place on earth is collecting souls. He said Jericho can’t comprehend what he is. Bray said to “Behold the new face of salvation.” He closed with “Follow the buzzards.”

Goldust & Stardust defeated the Uso Brothers via pinfall in a non-title match. Stardust was trying to get the hot tag to Goldust late in this one, but got cut off. Later, he ended up stealing the rollup pinfall on one of the Usos for the win.

Lana and Rusev came out to the ring to gloat about Mother Russia and Vladimir Putin after Rusev’s big win last night at SummerSlam. Mark Henry came out to interrupt talking about how he’s represented his country twice in the Olympics and never had a problem with anyone else’s country - except for the way “you two jackasses do it.” He told Rusev he’d give him a guided tour of the Hall of Pain. Henry and Rusev went back and forth with punches in the ring, but Rusev kicked Henry but then was still hurting from Swagger’s attacks on his ankle last night. Henry hit him with a World’s Strongest Slam, before hitting a running suplex to finish the segment.

They said that John Cena will return to Raw next week and address his loss to Brock Lesnar. Jerry Lawler revealed that the fans had voted a Falls Count Anywhere match as the stipulation for Rollins versus Ambrose, next.

Seth Rollins defeated Dean Ambrose via referree’s decision in a Falls Count Anywhere match. The match lasted a bit over 20 minutes for the main event. At one point, Kane came walking down to ringside to watch the match from a chair. Rollins brought a table in the ring and was going to go for a move off the top rope with Ambrose on the table. Ambrose recovered and went up to suplerplex Rollins through the table. Kane got up, shocked and got on the apron. Ambrose knocked him off, then knocked Rollins to the outside before hitting a suicide dive on both men. When they returned to the ring, Ambrose clotheslined Rollins, then hit Dirty Deeds for a pinfall. Kane yanked Ambrose out of the ring from the pin though. Kane beat up Ambrose a bit, but Ambrose fought him off. Rollins came to the outside to attack, with Ambrose backdropping him over the crowd barricade. Eventually, Ambrose set up Rollins on the announcers table. Kane interfered again and chokeslammed Ambrose though the table. Rollins hit a Curb Stomp on the table on Ambrose. Kane then pulled a cover off some objects at ringside to reveal cinder blocks. Rollins hit a Curb Stomp on Ambrose driving his face into the blocks. The ref called for the bell saying Rollins went too far, but Rollins got the win due to referee stoppage.

WWE SummerSlam 2014 Results Coverage (Updated)

The WWE SummerSlam 2014 pay-per-view results arrive on Sunday, August 18 from Los Angeles, California, with multiple superstars and divas in action on what appears to be an entertaining card. As the main event, John Cena attempts to slay "the Beast" Brock Lesnar and retain the WWE World Heavyweight title. In grudge matches, Brie Bella tries to fight to get her job back as she faces Stephanie McMahon, who is returning to the ring for the first time in a while. Roman Reigns attempts to dismantle Randy Orton, while Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will finally hook up in a Lumberjack match, where there's no escape. That's not to mention several other feuds and titles matches on the card!

Predictions have already hit the internet based on odds for who will win the various matches. Cena has been listed as the underdog tonight against Brock Lesnar, or at least to lose the title before the conclusion of SummerSlam. That may very well mean that either Lesnar defeats Cena, or Seth Rollins cashes in his MITB briefcase on Cena for the title win.

Other stipulations for matches tonight are listed below. Chris Jericho should get a "clean" one-on-one match with Bray Wyatt, with no outside interference from Harper or Rowan. As of this report, there are no scheduled U.S. or tag team titles matches. However, there is a free "kickoff" match as of 7:30 p.m. EST with Rob Van Dam taking on Cesaro ahead of the main show.

Rob Van Dam vs. Cesaro - Kickoff Show Match

At one point, RVD climbed onto the corner turnbuckle after beating up Cesaro on the outside. He tried for the Five Star, but Cesaro rushed over to uppercut him. Cesaro went for a superplex but RVD fought him off shoving him to the mat. Another prep for the Five Star with another uppercut from Cesaro to stop it. Cesaro tried yet another superplex with RVD fighting him off. RVD went for the Five Star but Cesaro got him with an uppercut. He went for the pinfall, with RVD getting an arm up at the last second. The two traded more moves with RVD able to kick Cesaro down. He finally set up and hit a Five Star Frogsplash for the win.

Winner: Rob Van Dam defeated Cesaro via pinfall.

Hollywood Hulk Hogan arrived out to deliver a promo speech about SummerSlam being on WWE Network for $9.99. He got the crowd to chime in every time he said the price of the monthly subscription. Hogan closed with his “Whatcha gonna do, when the WWE Network, Hulk Hogan and SummerSlam run wild on you!”

Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz
Intercontinental Title match

Prior to the match, Miz cut a promo about being the biggest star there tonight and said he'd embarrass Ziggler in the ring. In the match, there were several near finishes, including The Miz hitting Skullcrushing Finale after an attempted Zig Zag. Ziggler barely kicked out. Later in the match, Miz went for a big boot to Ziggler’s face when Dolph sat up on the mat. Dolph ducked the kick, then got up and quickly hit the Zig Zag for the win to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler defeated The Miz via pinfall to become new Intercontinental Champion.

Paige vs. A.J. Lee
Divas Championship Match

Late in the match, Paige went for a move but AJ countered and put on the Black Widow submission. Paige struggled a bit and got her arm under AJ’s then countered with the Ram-Paige to DDT AJ into the mat. Paige took the pinfall from there with AJ knocked out. Paige is the new Divas Champion. Post-match, she celebrated by skipping a bit and hugging AJ Lee on the mat.

Winner: Paige defeated AJ Lee via pinfall to become new Divas Champion.

Jack Swagger vs. Rusev - Flag Match

Pre-match, Swagger rushed over and attacked Rusev, slapping the ankle lock on him. Lana screamed at the ref to break it up and told the ref Rusev wouldn’t compete because the American cheated. The ref still called for the bell to start the match. Late in the match, Rusev had the advantage and Lana screamed at him to put on The Accolade. He went for it but his ankle was still hurting from Swagger attacking him pre-bell. Swagger turned it into an Ankle Lock and it looked like Rusev was in trouble for a while, he struggled to try to reach the ropes, then turned over and kicked Swagger in the ribs to escape. Later in the match, Rusev came back, hit a huge splash on Swagger’s ribs and then put on The Accolade to make Swagger pass out. Post-match, Lana ordered Rusev to kick Zeb down as he was checking on Swagger.

Winner: Rusev defeated Jack Swagger via referee's decision when Swagger passed out in The Accolade. The Russian flag was unveiled and the country's anthem was played for the winner.

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins
Lumberjack Match

Lumberjacks around the ring included Bo Dallas, Fandango, Sin Cara, Kofi, RVD, Cesaro, Usos, Goldust and Stardust, Heath Slater, Titus O’Neil, R-Truth, Harper and Rowan, Damien Sandow and RybAxel. The camera and announce crew pointed out Michelle Beadle and Bill Simmons each in the crowd watching SummerSlam. Early on, both men were knocked to the outside but the lumberjacks quickly rolled them back in to the ring. At one point, a huge brawl occurred outside the ring. Rollins got backdropped into the crowd on a chair, but the lumberjacks grabbed Ambrose and shoved him back in the ring. Rollins tried to leave through the crowd but Ambrose chased after him into the crowd. Eventually, Kane came marching down the ramp in his business suit and started yelling at Lumberjacks to go get the guys in the crowd.

The heel jacks went and grabbed Ambrose to bring back to the ring. Rollins tried to take off again, but several of the face jacks cut him off and then they carried him down the ramp to the ring. Ambrose was ready on the top rope and launched off to crash down on everyone including Rollins.  Moments later back in the ring, Ambrose had control and hit Rollins own move for a pinfall attempt. However, Kane came in and broke up the pin. Goldust got in the ring to get in Kane's face, but Kane punched him down. That caused another huge brawl, this time in the ring. Wrestlers cleared one another out of the ring, with Harper and Rowan left over. Ambrose was able to dump each guy out, but Rollins had snuck back in with the MITB briefcase and clocked him in the face, then fell on Ambrose for the pinfall.

Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have been banned from appearing at ringside to help out Bray Wyatt. At one point in the match, Y2J got the Walls of Jericho on Bray, but he managed to get to the ropes to break it. Jericho had a Codebreaker at one point but Wyatt escaped the pinfall. Late in the match, Wyatt took the fight to the outside. He was able to hit Sister Abigail on the outside, smashing Jericho into the barricade. Once he got Jericho back in the ring, he hit Sister Abigail for the victory. Post-match, Bray got on the mic saying “Poor poor Chris Jericho, he finally knows what it means to follow the buzzards.” Bray broke out into singing “He’s got the whole world in his hands..” with the crowd joining along.

Winner: Bray Wyatt defeated Chris Jericho via pinfall.

Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon

Brie got the advantage late and was repeatedly hitting “Yes” kicks on Brie in the corner. Eventually, Triple H came marching down the ramp and got up on the apron to complain about Brie’s attacks. Nikki came walking down the ramp right behind HHH as if she was there to root for her sister. At one point, Brie had a Yes Lock on Stephanie, but HHH yanked the ref outside. Brie saw it, got up and then delivered a slide drop-kick into HHH to take him down, before doing Yes chants over him on the outside. Brie and Nikki eventually were both in the ring, seeming to have Stephanie trapped in the middle. Steph backed into Brie, then stood up and turned. Nikki shoved Steph down, then punched her sister in the face, knocking Brie to the mat. Brie left the ring, and Steph set up and hit the Pedigree on Brie as HHH put the ref back in. The referee counted the 1-2-3 giving Stephanie the win. Brie eventually backed up the ramp looking like she had no choice but to do what she did. Meanwhile, HHH and Steph both stayed in the ring to celebrate and mock the Yes chant over the fallen Brie.

Winner: Stephanie McMahon defeated Brie Bella via pinfall.

Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton

Reigns hit a Superman punch at one spot, then prepared in the corner for a running Spear. He went for it once Orton stood up, but Orton reacted and caught him for the powerslam and near fall. Moments later, Orton did the DDT with Reigns hanging from the middle rope. He dropped down and got ready for the RKO but when he tried it, Reigns shoved him away to the ropes. Orton avoided a charge, and Reigns tried to throw a Superman punch with Orton countering to the RKO. He had the pinfall and looked like the winner, but Reigns got a shoulder up before 3 to shock the crowd. Orton decided to try for a punt kick but failed on the attempt. Moments later, Reigns ducked a clothesline, ran the ropes and then hit a huge Spear to take Orton down for the pin.

Winner: Roman Reigns defeated Randy Orton via pinfall.

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
WWE World Heavyweight Title match

Cena came out punching early, but Brock quickly turned things around and 30 seconds into it hoisted Cena up for the F5. He connected on it, but Cena kicked out before 3. Brock continued to dominate things from there. After one spot, Lesnar stood on Cena’s hand for a while then stepped on it. He hit about 3 German duplexes in a row, tossing Cena around like a rag doll. Two more German Suplexes came moments later. Cena finally got some fight in him and started to battle back with repeated clotheslines from the ropes. Brock retaliated and got Cena up for the F5, but Cena got out and put Brock into the AA, hitting it for a near fall. Brock mocked The Undertaker by sitting up after. Brock was able to get in control again and pounced on Cena to punch away at him MMA-style. The ref warned Brock to back off and eventually he did. 

A barrage of German Suplexes came with Brock slamming Cena around on the mat. Lesnar told the ref to ask Cena if he quit. As Lesnar was arguing, Cena got his leg to bring him down and put on the STF. Lesnar fought it and didn’t tap, then rolled over towards the corner. He got on Cena to start punching away on Cena’s head again UFC-style. From there, he managed to get Cena up on his shoulders, hit the F5 and easily made the 1-2-3 for the win. Brock Lesnar is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion after dominating Cena.

Post-match, Heyman gloated as Lesnar was awarded the two title belts. They posed up on the ramp with refs and training staff checking on Cena in the ring as the announcers talked about it being a one-sided dominant match with the 15-time champion being decimated. Cole noted that Lesnar hit 16 German suplexes on Cena throughout the match. SummerSlam closed as Heyman and Lesnar were heading backstage with the title belts.

Winner: Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena via pinfall to become new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Smackdown Results 08/15/14

Smackdown results from Seattle, WA:

The show opened with MizTV. Miz talked about his IC title match for SummerSlam and vowed to retain the title over Ziggler. Miz said his way of giving back would be to mentor young talent. He introduced Roman Reigns as his guest, who came through the crowd to the ring. Miz talked down to Reigns asking if he was nervous and said if he loses to Orton he’s just another guy in a vest with a pretty smile. Reigns kept trying to get a word in but Miz continued to talk over him, so Reigns eventually layer him out with a punch. Reigns got on the mic to say a guy in a vest with a pretty smile just put Miz on his ass. He said he respects Orton for all the titles he won, but after SummerSlam Orton will have to respect him for beating him.

Dean Ambrose defeated Cesaro via pinfall. Ambrose was able to comeback and after several reversals he hit Dirty Deeds for the win. Rollins came out on stage post-match and talked up the rules of the Lumberjack match. He said he’s just better than Ambrose and Ambrose was never his brother or his friend.

Backstage, Miz was icing his face. Kane came walking up and Miz complained about Reigns saying he needs to be banned from MizTV. As Miz started to walk off, Kane said Miz would be able to face Reigns in the ring later on.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Titus O’Neil via pinfall. Ziggler hit the Zig Zag on Titus in about 3 minutes. Heath Slater was on the outside as Titus’ coach/teammate.

Mark Henry defeated Luke Harper due to disqualification. Big Show was ringside for Henry, while Rowan was there for Harper. Henry had the WSS ready, but Rowan ran in to kick him down, causing a DQ. Smackdown went to break.

Mark Henry & Big Show defeated Harper & Rowan via pinfall. The match was joined in progress with Cole explaining Kane set it up during break. The finish saw Harper try to run in, but Show kicked him down. Show delivered a KO punch on Rowan and then Henry did World’s Strongest Slam for the win.

Eva Marie defeated AJ Lee via count out in a non-title match. During the match, Paige was skipping around the outside of the ring, distracting AJ. AJ left the ring and went to go beat up Paige. The ref eventually counted AJ out, giving Eva the win. On the outside. Paige got a kick on AJ and then the Paige Turner to put her down.

Jack Swagger defeated Bo Dallas via submission. Swagger won in under a minute when Dallas tried to go after Swagger’s taped ribs and Jack put on the Ankle Lock. Post-match, Lana and Rusev came out to the stage. Lana announced whoever wins at SummerSlam gets their country’s flag raised up above the ring and vowed it would be Rusev dedicating his win to Putin.

Roman Reigns defeated The Miz via pinfall in a non-title match. During the match, Miz managed to take advantage of the ref breaking them apart, to kick Reigns in the leg. He kept after the leg and tried for the submission but Reigns managed to break out. Reigns hit a Samoan drop and kicked Miz on the apron. He set up for a Superman Punch with Miz going to the outside. Miz started to back up the ramp, but Ziggler came out. Miz stopped in his tracks. When he turned the other way to the ring, Reigns hit the Superman Punch. As things went back to the ring, Reigns got the spear for the pinfall win.

Raw Results 08/11/14

Raw Results from Portland, OR:

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar arrived out to start the show with a promo. Heyman talked up Brock conquering most of the WWE including Untertaker’s streak. After still shots were shown from Extreme Rules where Cena defeated Lesnar, Heyman said it was a tainted victory and Brock was only 50% due to diverticulitis. He said on Sunday he’ll be 100%. He said this Brock’s house now and he’s taking the man of the house out to dinner, but after they’re done, they’ll be “coming back home.”

After a break and some video greetings from celebrities for Hulk Hogan, Corporate Kane came out to announce the next match. He said since Reigns beating him was like beating two men, The Authority handpicked two opponents for tonight.

Roman Reigns defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel in a 2-on-1 handicap match via disqualification. Things went to the outside after a break and Ryback ran Reigns into the ring post. The ref warned the duo about that, but they smashed Reigns into the post again for a DQ. Post-match, Reigns annihilated them with Superman punches and a spear to Axel. He delivered a sound byte to Renee Young who came into the ring, telling her “Orton claims I stole something from him. I never stole anything from him, but this Sunday I am taking everything from him.”

Orton was backstage with Kane and told him he’ll end Reigns on Sunday. Kane told Orton The Authority wants him ready for Summerslam, so tonight he faces Sheamus. Orton chuckled and said “Ok, fine..”

Seth Rollins defeated Rob Van Dam via pinfall. Late in the match, Rollins held onto the ropes as RVD tried for a monkey flip from the corner. Rollins hit the Curb Stomp then collected the pinfall. Post-match, there were big birthday gift boxes on stage for Hulk Hogan’s b-day celebration. Rollins went up to one and Dean Ambrose ended up busting out of it. Rollins took off. Ambrose got on a mic to say fans would get their money’s worth for $9.99 when he beats down Rollins on Sunday.

Stephanie came out to the ring and introduced Megan Miller, who was a rehab therapist for Daniel Bryan. In the ring, Megan ended up confessing that her boyfriend recently left her and that she’d had dinner with Daniel and Brie before. She confessed that she and Daniel had also had an affair. That brought Brie out to confront her. Eventually, Brie ended up slapping Megan and taking down Stephanie and putting the Yes Lock on her. A variety of WWE staff rushed in to pull them apart with Stephanie said they weren’t going to finish this at Summerslam, but tonight in the ring.

Jack Swagger defeated Cesaro via submission. Late in the match, Swagger grabbed Cesaro by the ankle, but Cesaro managed to get to the ropes, then kicked Swagger. He went to the top, only for Swagger to ran up and hit a suplex with him off the corner, followed by the Patriot Lock for the win. Post-match, Zeb delivered a promo about how everyone is going to remember Swagger waving the American flag at Summerslam. Just as they were about to say “We the People,” Rusev’s music hit to interrupt. The segment ended with each opponent waving their respective country’s flags.

They had a pre-recorded sit-down interview with Chris Jericho and Bray Wyatt facing each other with Michael Cole as interviewer. Wyatt brushed off Coles as the mediator and started to directly speak to Chris, telling him that he has hurt a lot of people in order to help them, and for that he’s not the least bit sorry. He said that he is a monster and his smile is the last thing the “savior” Jericho will ever see. Jericho responded saying he’s not scared of Wyatt and has been a survivor all his career. He told Wyatt he doesn’t know which Jericho he’ll see at SummerSlam, but he’s going to follow the buzzards, grab them and shove them down Wyatt’s throat to leave him “speechless.”

Eva Marie defeated AJ Lee in a non-title match by pinfall. Paige skipped around the ring which distracted AJ in the match, allowing Eva to get a surprise rollup pinfall. Post-match, Paige delivered a poem as her promo saying AJ has a face she wants to punch and on Sunday she’ll skip out with her title. AJ was upset over the promo and attacked Eva Marie outside the ring, throwing her into the barricade.

John Cena came down to the ring in new gear with his titles for a promo about Brock Lesnar. He talked about how Lesnar views the business. He said that he comes out each week to the cheers and boos, but refused to turn against his fans. He said he won’t lay down for Lesnar, so Lesnar won’t beat him this Sunday. Cena said because of Lesnar’s warped view of the business, he is going to make sure he doesn’t get the title from him. Cena said Lesnar said it’s his house, but it’s the fan’s house. He told Brock he has way too many fingers and is giving him the middle one. He said “This Sunday I’m the one who beats the one. This Sunday, the champ is here.”

Brie arrived to the ring ready to wrestle for a match. Stephanie came out to the ring in regular clothes rather than ring gear for the match. She said Megan is pressing charges against Brie for slapping her earlier in the ring. Two men came out to handcuff Brie and take her away backstage. As they did, Steph said on the mic it shows that what goes around, comes around. She said she’ll see Brie at SummerSlam, if she makes bail.

Heath Slater defeated Dolph Ziggler via count out. The Miz was on commentary during the match and stood on the announcers table. That distracted Dolph enough for Slater to try a pinfall, only for a 2 count. At one point, Ziggler went to ringside to grab Miz and rough him up. He tried to get back in the ring but didn’t beat the count out, giving Slater the win. Post-match, Dolph offered a handshake to Slater who tried to kick him instead. Ziggler hit the Zig Sag on him.

Randy Orton defeated Sheamus via pinfall in a non-title match. Orton ducked a Brogue Kick late in the match before sending Sheamus into the turnbuckle. Sheamus made a quick comeback and tried for a move off the top rope, but Orton surprised him with an RKO for the win.

A bunch of superstars and divas came onto the ring for Hulk Hogan’s birthday celebration. Gene Okerlund and Jimmy Hart were in the ring, with Mean Gene introducing Hogan. Hogan gave props to Portland and then played up getting a card from Vince McMahon for his birthday with enough money in it to subscribe to WWE Network for a month and watch SummerSlam on Sunday. Various guests came out to see Hogan including Ric Flair, Paul Orndorff, Roddy Piper and then Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Hall got on the mic to see if the crowd preferred Hogan’s red and yellow shirt, or maybe some black and white NWO. Hogan ripped off his t-shirt revealing the NWO shirt. Hogan, Hall and Nash did an NWO pose together. Nash got on the mic and said something he’s never done in his career is this - he started singing Happy Birthday. Suddenly, Brock Lesnar’s music hit to interrupt with Lesnar and Heyman arriving down the ramp.

Lesnar got into a staredown with Hogan in the ring. Heyman asked “Whatcha gonna do?” and then Lesnar told “grandpa” the party’s over. Lesnar continued to get in Hogan’s face, until Cena came charging to the ring. He ripped off his shirt ready to fight Brock, who smirked and backed out of the ring. The crowd booed Lesnar for ducking the fight. He smirked at Cena in the ring. Lawler announced that he was just told Hogan’s birthday party will continue on WWE Network after Raw ends. Cena yelled out at Brock that he’s in his house. Lesnar yelled “I’m a mercenary!” back at Cena before Raw went off the air.

Smackdown Results 08/08/14

Smackdown results from Laredo, TX:

Dean Ambrose came out to make  an announcement about the stipulation for his Summerslam match versus Seth Rollins. He joked about it being a few different ideas including JBL's hat on a pole match or a match with alligators surrounding the ring. Rollins came out to interrupt and Ambrose suggested that he's going to make sure he can tear him apart, with a Lumberjack match at Summerslam. Rollins went on to say The Authority told him he can handpick an opponent for Ambrose tonight and it will be The Viper Randy Orton.

Mark Henry & Big Show defeated Rybaxel via pinfall. Henry hit a World’s Strongest Slam late on Ryback, then Big Show chokeslammed Axel for the pinfall.

Backstage, Ziggler was hanging out with some divas making jokes and conversation. Rollins showed up and they ended up booked in a match for later.

Sin Cara defeated Damien Sandow via pinfall. Cara hit a late slam move followed by a Swanton off the top rope for the win.

Seth Rollins defeated Dolph Ziggler via pinfall. Ziggler got whipped into the ring-post shoulder-first late in the contest. From there, he fell to the outside. Rollins went out and tossed Dolph into the barricade and into the steel steps. Rollins tossed him back inside the ring and hit the curb stomp for the win.

Backstage, Renee Young interviewed Orton. He said he’s uncontrollable and doesn’t know himself what he might do sometimes. He said tonight Dean Ambrose finds out who the “truly sadistic superstar” is for WWE.

Paige defeated Natalya via submission. At one point, Natalya had a Sharpshooter on, but Paige managed to grab the ropes to break it. Paige got out of the ring for a break. Natalya went to get her and Paige was able to hit the Paige Turner on the outside. Paige went back in the ring to try to wait out a count out, but Natalya got back in at 7. She had a surprise rollup, but Paige kicked her in the chest after and then made her tap out to the PTO.

Rusev defeated Big E via submission. The match lasted under two minutes. Big E missed on a splash late and Rusev leveled him with a kick. To close things, Rusev locked The Accolade on and made Big E tap out. Post-match, Rusev celebrated with Lana standing with him in admiration as a Russian flag dropped down over the ring from the rafters.

Tom Phillips interviewed Chris Jericho backstage who said he finally got rid of the two symptoms - Rowan and Harper - but that the disease, Bray Wyatt, is still going on. He said he's going to follow the Buzzards and shove them down Bray Wyatt's throat at Summerslam.

Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins via disqualification. Late in this match, Orton went for the draping DDT but Ambrose countered and backdropped him to the outside. Ambrose hit a suicide dive next and things eventually went back into the ring. Seth Rollins showed up and got on the apron to distract, but Ambrose knocked him off. He hit Dirty Deeds on Orton and went for the pin, but Rollins yanked Ambrose from the ring causing a DQ. Post-match, Ambrose and Rollins kept brawling outside of the ring. They got back inside with Ambrose in control but Orton clotheslined him down, then told Rollins “He’s all yours.” Rollins grabbed a drink from a fan in the crowd, then returned to the ring to pour it on Ambrose’s face. He hit the Curb Stomp on Ambrose to close out Smackdown.

Raw Results 08/04/14

Raw Results from Austin, TX:

HHH, Stephanie, Kane, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton were in the ring to start things off. HHH and Steph hyped up Summerslam on the WWE Network several times. HHH said tonight there will be two Beat the Clock matches, one for Rollins and one for Ambrose, with the winner getting to pick the match stipulation at Summerslam. Orton got on the mic to talk up how he will continue to beat down Roman Reigns. That brought Reigns out through the crowd on the mic saying he’d beat Orton’s ass for free tonight. HHH said he’ll have Orton at Summerslam, but tonight he’ll face Kane in a Last Man Standing Match.

Roman Reigns defeated Kane in a Last Man Standing Match. The finish saw Reigns hit a Superman Punch and try for a Spear, but caught grabbed him by the throat. Reigns managed to find his way out and then speared Kane. Kane tried to get up by the ropes before ten but couldn’t, giving Reigns the win.

They had a video of sit down interviews UFC-style with Brock Lesnar and also John Cena, with each discussing their approach to their Summerslam title match.

Mark Henry defeated Damien Sandow via pinfall. Sandow came out in Oklahoma Sooners gear to insult the Texas fans. In the match, Henry won in under a minute after hitting World’s Strongest Slam.

Dean Ambrose defeated Alberto Del Rio via pinfall in a Beat the Clock Challenge match. A bloodied-up Ambrose won the match in 15:42 after hitting his finisher on Del Rio.

They had Lana and Rusev in the ring talking about Putin again. She takes about it being Obama’s birthday and started to sing Happy Birthday in Russian until Jack Swagger’s music hit to interrupt. Zeb Colter and Swagger got in the ring, with Zeb delivered a rebuttal promo, telling Lana to shut up about Putin, Mother Russia and Rusev Crush. He had pictures shown of various people from America shown on the big screen including soldiers, a construction worker and a nurse. He said that’s who Swagger is fighting for. Rusev eventually jabbed his flagpole at Swagger to knock him outside the ring. Rusev and Lana then backed Colter into a corner with Lana mocking the We the People line.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Cesaro via pinfall. The Miz was on commentary with Cole saying Miz is defending his IC title against Ziggler at SummerSlam. In the match, Cesaro held up Ziggler for a suplex and was a bit too cocky about it. Ziggler got out of it, then was able to hit the Zig Zag for the win. Miz got in the ring post-match, but ducked to the outside when Ziggler went for a Superkick.

Goldust and Stardust defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel via pinfall. Stardust won the match when he hit a new move called Dark Matter on Curtis Axel. The match lasted under 3 minutes.

Backstage, Triple H and Stephanie were working on paperwork when Kane came into the room. He took off his mask and wig then handed it over to Stehapnie before leaving the room. Stephanie just looked down at the mask.

Chris Jericho defeated Luke Harper via disqualification. In the match, Jericho was able to get the Walls of Jericho on Harper, but the Wyatt Family sounder went off. Bray Wyatt appeared when the lights returned. Rowan tried to sneak attack Jericho, but he hit him with a Codebreaker. He hit another one on Harper, but Bray got in the ring and hit a clothesline. The ref called for the bell. Bray hit Sister Abigail on Jericho, but due to the stipulations, Jericho now faces Bray at Summerslam without Rowan and Harper at ringside.

Diego defeated Fandango via pinfall. Hornswoggle came to the ring with Fandango, while Summer, Layla and Torito accompanied Diego. During the match, Hornswoggle distracted Diego a bit. Fandango charged at Diego who moved away, so Fandango collided with Horney. Diego hit the Backstabber on Fandango to collect the win. Post-match, Summer and Layla checked on Hornswoggle. They brought him and Torito into the ring to dance around Fandango. Fandango shoved Horney down, but eventually got hit by a move from Diego and Torito.

Bo Dallas defeated R-Truth via pinfall. The match lasted a minute. Bo got the advantage on the outside when he shoved Truth into the ring steps. Moments later he hit the Bo-Dog off the steps to the floor before pinning Truth in the ring.

Heath Slater defeated Seth Rollins in the Beat the Clock Challenge match via pinfall. Originally, Rob Van Dam came to the ring for the match, but then Justin Roberts announced the Authority had switched opponents and Heath Slater would face Rollins. During the match, Dean Ambrose showed up and grabbed the MITB case. He opened the briefcase to take out the contract and then tore it up. That allowed Slater to deliver a kick for a near fall on Rollins. On the outside, Ambrose kept playing it up, pouring some soda into the briefcase, then putting popcorn in there and finally, JBL’s hat. He twirled the briefcase overhead which distracted Rollins enough for Slater to quickly roll him up for the win. That gives Ambrose the right to choose a Summerslam match stipulation, which he’ll announce on Friday’s Smackdown.

They had a contract signing between Stephanie and Brie Bella to close Raw. During the signing, the two exchanged verbal jabs and trash talk to hype their match. Nikki Bella was there in the ring as was Triple H. Eventually, Steph signed the contract, but then slammed the contract holder on Nikki’s head. Triple H pushed the table back causing it to block Brie in the ring corner. Steph hit a Pedigree on Nikki in front of Brie. Steph started to do the “Yes” chant and then Triple H did it in Brie’s face. She slapped him. Stephanie slammed Brie head first into the table, then hit a Pedigree on her. She kissed Triple H and then he held up her arm to close the show to booing fans.

Smackdown Results 08/01/14

Smackdown results from Corpus Christi, TX:

Jack Swagger defeated Cesaro via submission. Late in the match, Cesaro tried to land a big boot to Swagger’s face. Instead, Swagger grabbed his foot and turned it into an Ankle Lock. Cesaro struggled for a bit but eventually tapped out. Post-match, Rusev and Lana came out to interrupt a We the People yell from Swagger/Colter. It ended up with Lana issuing a challenge from Rusev to Swagger for a flag match at Summerslam, which Colter accepted for Swagger.

Randy Orton came to the ring talking about how Roman Reigns is the reason he isn't getting a title shot against Cena at Summerslam. He told Reigns he sent him a message on Raw recently, then dared him to step into the ring with him at Summerslam.

R-Truth defeated Bo Dallas via disqualification. Dallas was beating up on Truth in the corner and failed to heed the referee's instructions to break it, causing the DQ. Post-match, he continued the beatdown, then got on the mic to say that Bolieving is a spiritual experience and that R-Truth got what was coming to him. He said he knows the people Bolieve, then blew kisses to them, drawing boos from the crowd.

AJ Lee defeated Rosa Mendes in a non-title match via submission. Rosa screamed she wanted a title shot, and about 15 seconds later, AJ put on the Black Widow to make her tap out. Post-match, as AJ posed on stage with her Divas belt, Paige rushed out to attack and tossed her off the stage to the floor nearby. Trainers rushed out to check on AJ with Paige screaming "She's fine," and added that AJ is her best friend. She yelled to AJ to call her when she's feeling better.

Seth Rollins & Kane defeated Dean Ambrose in a handicap match via disqualification. At one point in the match, Ambrose managed to get Rollins alone in the ring to beat him up a bit. Eventually, Kane made a save, tossing Ambrose out of the ring and checking on Rollins in the ring. Ambrose returned again with a steel chair which he bashed on Kane. Rollins managed to escape up the ramp after the bell, with Ambrose taking out some more frustration by hitting Kane with the chair.

Diego defeated Fandango via pinfall. Fandango had the upper hand on Diego after a minute and a half into the contest. Fandango’s music hit and Torito started to dance with Summer Rae and Layla outside the ring, distracting Fandango. Diego hit his backbreaker finisher to get the pinfall win.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Dolph Ziggler via submission. The Miz was on guest commentary and during the match got on the announcers table to make a speech thanking various people. It distracted Dolph who got rolled up for a near fall. Miz also thanked Dolph for not being as good as him. Dolph got upset and went after Miz on the outside, but Miz escaped. When Dolph got back into the ring, Del Rio managed to get the upperhand and put on the Cross Armbreaker to make Ziggler tap.

Chris Jericho defeated Erick Rowan via pinfall. The win carried a stipulation that Rowan will be banned from ringside during Jericho’s match against Bray Wyatt at Summerslam. Bray Wyatt cut a promo before the match saying Jericho will just be dirt after Summerlam, and questioned why Jericho keeps returning to try to “save us.” In the match, Rowan had the advantage late in this contest which lasted 12 minutes of TV time. Rowan put Jericho in a bear hug late and went to smash him into the corner, but Jericho fought out. Jericho hit the Codebreaker to end things, getting the win. Wyatt was shown looking on, and got out of his rocking chair, then took off his hat. He started backing up the ramp as the crowd booed. Jericho celebrated to close the show out.

Raw Results 07/28/14

Raw Results from Houston, TX:

The show started off with John Cena coming out to announce he would put it all on the line at Summerslam against Brock Lesnar and defeat him just like back in 2012. Paul Heyman came out to interrupt, along with Cesaro, setting up an impromptu match to start things off.

John Cena defeated Cesaro via pinfall in a non-title match. Cesaro tried for the Neutralizer late, but Cena backdropped him. Moments later, Cena was able to catch Cesaro on the ropes and hit the AA from the second rope for the win.

Paige and AJ Lee had a confrontation in the ring with AJ saying she gets that Paige is upset she took the title from her just like she did to her months ago. Paige made a bit of a remark about AJ being sort of crazy, which got AJ fired up. She ended up taking Paige down and throwing her out of the ring. Paige got back up asking why it had to be like that. She backed up the ramp as AJ got back in the ring and put the Divas title on display for Paige to see.

Triple H and Stephanie came out to talk about Steph getting arrested last week on Raw. Chris Jericho came out to make jokes including singing the “COPS’ theme song to get the crowd going. HHH told Jericho he’s going to face Bray Wyatt again, at Summerslam. He said for tonight…Seth Rollins attacked Jericho from behind with the MITB case to knock him to the stage.

The Uso Brothers & Dolph Ziggler defeated Miz, Ryback and Curtis Axel via pinfall. During the match, Xavier Woods, Big E and Kofi Kingston arrived to ringside wearing dress clothes to scout the match. Ziggler eventually won the match, hitting the Zig Zag on Ryback.

R-Truth defeated Bo Dallas via pinfall. Bo cut a promo ahead of the match talking about how Truth could never be undefeated like him, and said Truth has a lot of losses in his career. He told him one day he will be victorious if all he does is Bolieve. In the match, Truth grabbed a quick rollup pinfall thirty seconds into things to win it. Post-match, Bo got on the mic and clocked Truth with it, then put the ring apron on Truth’s head and punched on him. Bo smiled some more and ran around the outside of the ring.

They had another in-ring promo involving Rusev/Lana vs. Swagger/Zeb. It ended with a fight where Rusev got the upper hand and tried for his submission hold in the ring, but Swagger avoided it and went for the Ankle Lock. Rusev avoided that, but Swagger knocked him to the outside.

Adam Rose defeated Damien Sandow via pinfall. Sandow came out in an astronaut’s suit with a space theme entrance behind him. He attacked Rose before the bell, but as soon as it sounded, Rose hit the Party Foul for the win in about 12 seconds, then danced with the Rosebuds backstage.

Roman Reigns vs Kane match never officially started. Reigns was attacked on his way to the ring by Orton. Reigns got into the ring, but Kane and Orton got the upperhand. Reigns got the Superman punch on Orton, but then Kane chokeslammed Reigns and left the ring. Orton continued the beatdown, eventually slamming him head first into the steps and then smashing him through the broadcast table to send a message.

Diego defeated Fandango via pinfall. Summer Rae, Layla and Torito were in Diego’s corner for the match. Torito distracted Fandango when he was going to go for a finisher, allowing Diego to score the rollup pinfall.

Natalya & Naomi defeated Cameron and Alicia Fox via submission. Naomi was able to get a submission hold on Cameron to make her tap out.

Chris Jericho vs. Seth Rollins was a no contest. Late in the match, Jericho dodged a Curb Stomp, then rolled up Rollins for a near fall. Rollins avoided Walls of Jericho, delivering a kick to knock Jericho down. Out of nowhere, Jericho hit a Codebreaker, but couldn’t score a pinfall because The Wyatt sound effect hit. When the lights came back on, The Wyatt Family stood in the ring surrounding Jericho, then beat him down. Bray did Sister Abigail on Jericho, then posed over him.

The final Raw segment had Stephanie in the ring complaining about how being arrested has hurt her and her kids. She said other parents have refused play dates with her kids over it. Brie Bella came out to ask if she was going to keep acting like a sniveling rich girl or get to her point. Eventually, Steph asked Brie to drop the charge against her, but Brie demanded her sister get a raise and she get her job back. Stephanie eventually agreed to that, but Brie told her she had one more condition, she wanted a match at Summerslam. Stephanie asked if she wanted a divas title shot or a Total Divas themed match. Brie said she wanted to face Stephanie, which prompted Steph to mention she hasn’t competed in-ring in 10 years so she can’t wrestle. Brie told her she’d see her in court. Steph tried to cry her way out of it, but eventually gave in to the demand, then slapped Brie in the face. The two got into a cat fight, with security having to pull them apart as Raw ended.

Raw Results 07/22/14

Raw results from Miami, FL:

The opening segment had HHH come to the ring talking about how angry he was over what happened on Battleground PPV last night. He said sooner or later he always wins and he can “guaran-damn-tee” that Cena won’t be champion after SummerSlam. Hunter said “the question is who,” which prompted Orton to come out first to say it’s time for his rematch. HHH turned that notion down suggesting he’d need to watch the roster tonight to see who impresses him most. Kane came out to argue with Orton, with Reigns coming down to say the people want to see Reigns vs. Cena most. Eventually, chaos broke out, so HHH booked Reigns vs. Orton and Kane to start off the show.

Roman Reigns defeated Kane & Randy Orton via pinfall. The close saw Orton leave Kane on his own, with Reigns spearing Kane and pinning him for the win. Orton acted like he might go back in the right post-match, but walked off.

Cameron, Eva Marie, Rosa Mendes and Alicia Fox defeated Nikki Bella in a four-on-one handicap match. Before the match, Nikki went over and hugged Brie who was in the crowd watching. Stephanie came out to mock Brie, with Brie calling Stephanie a bitch. Stephanie got a slap in on Brie, and then security intervened before Brie could respond. In the match, Alicia got a scissors kick on Nikki for the pinfall win. Post-match, Stephanie said Nikki she’ll eventually quit just like her sister Brie.

Bo Dallas defeated Damien Sandow via pinfall. Sandow was dressed as LaBron James to try to irk the Miami fans in the crowd. In the match, Dallas hit the Bo-Dog for the win.

The Wyatts came out to the ring where the Highlight Reel set was for Jericho and talked about how the host wouldn’t be there tonight. Bray spoke about his feud with Jericho and how he can’t measure him by time because “I live 100 years in a day man.” He told Jericho that “Unfortunately for you, I am forever.” They showed backstage where Jericho was being treated by a trainer with blood coming out of his ear.

Dolph Ziggler defeated The Miz via pinfall in a non title match. Ziggler dodged a Skull Crushing Finale, then Ziggler hit the Zig Zag for the win.

AJ Lee & Paige defeated Natalya & Emma via submission. The close saw Paige crawl over to make the tag to AJ, who ran in to hit Natalya with a knee to the face. Moments later, AJ locked on the Black Widow to make Natalya tap out. Post-match, faked a huge for AJ before yanking her down by the hair and then tossing her around ringside. She picked her up and ran her into the ring post, before throwing AJ over the broadcast table.

Zack Ryder defeated Fandango via pinfall. Late in the match, Ryder hit the Rough Ryder and had a pin. Fandango got a foot on the rope but Layla pushed his foot off so the ref made the three count.

Flo Rida had a musical performance. Earlier, Heath Slater tried to shove Flo Rida but Flo shoved him to the ground to get the upper hand.

Backstage, Stephanie was grilled by two cops asking if she slapped Brie earlier. She said she did, and they put her under arrest for battery. Brie showed up and her and Steph trash talked a bit before the cops led Stephanie away. HHH was there and told Steph he’d be right behind her on the way to the station. 

Ryback & Curtis Axel defeated Kofi Kingston and Big E via pinfall. Ryback rolled through for a pinfall after Kofi hit a high cross body on him late. Post-match, Xavier Woods got in the ring wearing a red shirt and glasses telling them they can’t get ahead by shaking hands and kissing babies. He told Kingston and Big E “It’s our time, now we take.”

Rusev defeated The Great Khali via submission. Rusev won in over two minutes when he stomped on Khali’s back and then put The Accolade on him.

Cesaro defeated Dean Ambrose via DQ. Towards the end of the match, Ambrose ran Cesaro shoulder-first into the ring post, then got a chair from ringside and hit Cesaro’s arm against the ring post. Ambrose tossed some chairs into the ring, then went into the ring to sit down.

Backstage, Renee Young interviewed HHH who said he was on his way out to announce the SummerSlam main event title match. Young asked if HHH should be with Stephanie instead and he glared at her.

HHH came to the ring to make his announcement. He was about to make the announcement when Orton showed up and then Roman Reigns did. The two brawled out into the side area of the ramp/stage and disappeared. Paul Heyman then came out onto the stage and said Plan A is not working with Orton, and that Dean Ambrose is always going to stop Seth Rollins from cashing in. Heyman introduced “Plan C” and out came Brock Lesnar. They came to the ring and shook hands with HHH before he left. Heyman announced his intentions for his client to face John Cena at SummerSlam and win the WWE championship. He noted that his client defeated the Undertaker’s streak and will now break John Cena and strip him of the dignity of being WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Raw Results 08/19/13

Raw Results from Anaheim, CA:

The opening segment had John Cena come to the ring to discuss his elbow injury, and said he wouldn't use it as an excuse, but the better man won in a clean fight.  He said he's got a giant ball of fluid on his elbow, and will be leaving WWE to have surgery performed.  Fans cheered about that, and Cena smirked, before introducing Daniel Bryan.  Bryan came out to a huge round of cheers, but got interrupted by Stephanie McMahon before he could talk.

She apologized for what happened to Bryan but said her husband did what is best for business.  Bryan said he expected that from her or Vince, but not Triple H.  He said when you lie with trash, you become like it.  Stephanie said she'd let it slide, then eventually mocked his height and looks, saying he wasn't an A but a sold B+.  Bryan said if she's going to fire him, he'll give a reason to by finding Orton or Triple H first.  Stephanie told Bryan to calm down several times, after he knocked a microphone out of her hands.  Eventually, Stephanie called security to come escort Bryan out of the building.

Cody Rhodes defeated Damien Sandow via pinfall.  Late in the match, Sandow blocked Cross Rhodes and had a near fall on Cody.  Cody and Sandow fought some more before Cody scored a rollup pinfall.

Backstage, Brad Maddox looked at some comments Dolph Ziggler made regarding Triple H's actions at Summerslam.  Maddox said Ziggler will face The Shield in a handicap match later on Raw.

Paul Heyman was shown walking backstage with his arm in a sling right before Raw hit a break.

Paul Heyman came to the ring and cut a promo on the Punk-Brock match from Summerslam.  He said Punk proved his worth in giving Brock all he could handle last night, but it's time to end this family feud.  Heyman offered to take Punk back as his client, when Punk apologizes to him.  He said Punk is better with him, and he will guide him to the WWE Title and main event of Wrestlemania.  Together, Heyman said, they will be "best in the world."

Cameron & Naomi defeated AJ Lee & Natalya by pinfall.  Late in this one, AJ hit a neckbreaker for a two count.  Later still, Cameron and Naomi surprised Layla with a move and got the win.

The Shield defeated Dolph Ziggler via pinfall in a 3-on-1 handicap match.  Roman Reigns hit a Spear to take down Ziggler for the win.

Alberto Del Rio defeated Sin Cara due to referee stoppage.  Late in the match, Cara dove out onto Del Rio outside the ring.  Cara appeared to be hurt, so Dr. Sampson checked on him.  Del Rio grabbed Sin Cara and brought him into the ring.  The ref called for the ball and the doctor tried to check out Sin Cara.  ADR stomped on Sin Cara and talked some trash.

Post-match, Del Rio cuts a promo in the ring about how he proved at Summerslam why he's the best World Champ in the history of WWE.  He says the Latino community now has someone to truly cheer for.  Del Rio continues, but gets interrupted as Ricardo Rodriguez comes out.  He says he's glad he doesn't have to stand by Del Rio's side anymore.  He says he's proud to represent someone new, and introduces Rob Van Dam.  RVD heads to the ring and Del Rio attacks.  The two traded strikes, with RVD hitting a superkick to drop Del Rio to the mat.  RVD got on the top rope for an attempted Frogsplash, with Del Rio escaping the ring.

Darren Young & Titus O'Neil defeated Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro via pinfall.  Towards the end of this match, Young dropped Cesaro on his double knee finisher to get the win.

Renee Young interviewed Big Show backstage asking if the rumor's true that he'll team up with Mark Henry to face Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.  Show says it's true, and they're going for the tag titles.  GM Brad Maddox comes in and tells Renee to leave.  He says he heard Show's comments against Triple H following Summerslam, so tonight Show goes in a handicap match against The Shield, except all members of Shield get to be in the ring at once.  Show asked Maddox if he's sure he wants to do that to The Shield, before walking off.

They had a segment in the locker room with Ryback chasing off some of the guys in there, and then picking on one in particular.  He throws the guy's gym bag and tells him to go get it, then steps on it so the guy can't pick it up.  Ryback slaps him in the face, then makes him open up his bag and spray everything inside with water.  He tells the guy to get lost and laughs about it.

The Shield defeated Big Show via pinfall in a 3-on-1 handicap match.  Show fought back numerous times, but in the end was just overpowered.  The Shield hit their Triple Powerbomb and then covered him at the same time to get the win.

CM Punk came to the ring, angry about last night's match.  He dares one fan to get in the ring with him and fight after booing.  Punk calls him a "fatson" and tells the guy be a man, or be a "b---h and sit down."  Eventually, Punk says if Heyman wants an apology he'll give him one.  Paul Heyman comes out with Curtis Axel.  Punk told him he's sorry, sorry for taking his eyes off Lesnar last night, and sorry he didn't do more to Heyman.  Heyman tells Punk, he's sorry for what's about to happen.  He tells Axel go tape up his fists and get ready for a fight.  Heyman says if Punk's still in the ring after break, Axel will finish the job that Lesnar started.  Raw went to commercials.

After break, Punk was still out in the ring.  Axel came down and Punk started to brawl with him.  Punk dropped Axel on a chair in the ring, then hit him with it.  He threw Axel to the outside.  Out there, Axel started to turn the tables and worked on Punk at the ringside area.  Punk got control again and hit Axel in the stomach with the ring bell.  He brought it back in the ring to try to damage Axel more, but Axel took out his leg and worked on that part of Punk some.

Axel kept driving the chair down on Punk's hurt leg, then hit a neckbreaker.  Heyman yelled for Axel to break his leg.  Axel tried to stomp on the chair but Punk moved away, then started to fight back.  He hit Axel in the back multiple times with the chair, then threw him outside the ring, before tossing him into the steel steps a few times.  Punk beat up Axel more, then stared at Heyman who backed up the ramp as "Cult of Personality" played on.

Bray Wyatt defeated R-Truth via pinfall.  Late in the match, Truth fought off Wyatt for a bit and hit Harper on the apron.  Bray made a comeback and ran Truth over, then after more traded offense, he yelled he is the new face of fear.  Wyatt hit his finisher on Truth for the win.

The Usos defeated Heath Slater & Jinder Mahal via pinfall.  Late in this one, one of the Uso's dove out of the ring to take down both Drew and Jinder outside the ring.  Back in the ring, the other Uso made the tag, then hit the huge Splash off the corner on Slater for the win.

The Miz vs. Wade Barrett was a no contest.  Barrett was in control, but suddenly Fandango's music hit to interrupt towards the end.  He came to the ring and knocked Miz out to end the matchup.

Backstage, Brad Maddox told Stephanie McMahon that Daniel Bryan is back in the building again after being escorted out by security earlier.

After a commercial break, Stephanie McMahon and Vince were in the ring.  Triple H comes out next and The Shield is seen standing on guard in front of the ring.  Vince tells the crowd to give it up for The Game.  HHH gets in the ring, and Vince talks about how there's a new champion everyone can be proud of now.  He said he's proud of his son-in-law, then hugs HHH.  The fans chant "You sold out."

HHH talked about why he did what he did last night - for the WWE to continue on.  He said he did it for his wife and kids so the WWE can exist in all of our futures.  He said he didn't want to do that to Bryan, but let's face it, Bryan is not the face of WWE.  He says he doesn't care about Bryan's personal problems.  Triple H then introduced the "future and face of WWE, Randy Orton."  The rest of the WWE roster was up on the ramp.  They all looked at Orton as he headed to the ring.

Orton shook hands with Triple H and Vince, then hugged Stephanie.  All three McMahon's applauded for Orton, who then spoke about cashing in his MITB contract when nobody would see it coming.  Orton said he owes everything to Triple H.  He yells at the crowd for everyone to stand on their feet and show Triple H some respect.

Triple H then brings up that he knows Bryan is in the building, so he should come to the ring to settle his personal issue.  HHH tells Shield to step aside and says he doesn't want anyone touching Bryan.  HHH called Bryan out and had them play his theme music as he encouraged the crowd to chant "Yes!"

Bryan came out and went down to the ring.  He tried to enter, but The Shield attacked him anyways.  He fought them off several times, tossing them into the steel steps.  However, The Shield regained control after Reigns hit a big Spear to take down Bryan.  The Shield prepared to hit their Triple Powerbomb on Bryan, but HHH told them to stop.  He told Bryan to get in the ring and get everything off his chest.  Bryan is barely able to get to his feet, and Triple H taunts and mocks him.  He finally gets in the ring, but Orton hits a quick RKO on him.  Vince, Orton, Stephanie and Triple H then raise their hands in victory with Bryan laying on the mat.  Raw goes off the air with Orton's music playing.

2013 WWE Summerslam Results Coverage (Updated)

The 2013 WWE Summerslam results are on the way as the latest pro wrestling pay-per-view event hits the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.  The latest event, scheduled for Sunday, August 18 will feature a free live stream show match, and then a full card of exciting matches on the main show.  Fans will be able to follow along as results are updated, here at WWE Characters the Blog.

Among the big matches on the card will be John Cena defending his WWE Championship against Daniel Bryan, with Triple H as special guest referee.  Christian challenges Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship, while Dean Ambrose puts the United States title on the line against Rob Van Dam during a special live stream pre-show, starting at 7 p.m. EST.

The Summerslam pay-per-view will officially get underway at 8 p.m. EST on cable, satellite, and WWE's live stream through their site or mobile apps.  The latest results will be presented below as the winners are announced!

2013 SummerSlam Results:

Josh Matthews hosted the Summerslam kick-off show with a panel of Booker T, Shawn Michaels and Vickie Guerrero. Michaels was sporting a Daniel Bryan-style beard and camouflaged gear. He talked up the Cena-Bryan match, and then Booker brought up Bray Wyatt against Kane. Vickie said Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian was what she's looking forward to.

They showed footage of RVD's win in the 20-Man Battle Royal and then Mark Henry joining him in the ring to help fend off The Shield's attempted attack.  Matthews talked up the US title match for the pre-show.  Booker and Vickie started to bicker over who was responsible for bringing RVD back to WWE.

Video package for the CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar (w/Paul Heyman) match build-up and feud was shown.

Paul Heyman joined the panel via video from backstage.  Heyman interrupted Matthews when he started to compare Punk/Brock to David vs. Goliath.  Heyman said there will be no heroic slaying here by Punk.  During the bit, Heyman announced a new stipulation that Punk and Brock reportedly agreed to: for a no DQ match tonight.

They showed Ziggler breaking up with AJ weeks ago, and then the meeting between Kaitlyn/Ziggler and AJ/Big E on The MizTV segment.  It was followed by a visit to Venice Beach where Ziggler, Big E, AJ all shown giving sound bytes.

They showed video footage of the buildup surrounding Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena, after Cena handpicked Bryan as his Summerslam opponent.  Brad Maddox, Triple H and Vince McMahon were included in various highlights.  HBK talked up how much he believes in Daniel Bryan after training him.    Vickie suggested that John Cena has everything handed to him, and that WWE needs a fresh face in Bryan.  HBK predicted Bryan will leave as WWE champ tonight.

Michael Cole, JBL and Jerry Lawler were shown as commentary team and brought up tonight's big matches.

Rob Van Dam vs. Dean Ambrose
US Championship Match

Ambrose entered on his own from in the stands with no sign of Rollins or Reigns.  RVD was introduced second, and then bell ring with just about 25 minutes until the pay-per-view's start time.  Ambrose got the early advantage throwing a shoulder block to take down RVD, and then he cockily backed into the corner to wait for RVD to get up.  RVD responded for several takedowns and then did his double thumb point to get the crowd to chant "Rob Van Dam."

Ambrose took over again for a bit, but RVD battled back and punched/kicked on Ambrose in the corner.  Ambrose responded on a whip to the corner with a boot to RVD's face.  Later in the match, RVD went for Rolling Thunder at Ambrose in the corner.  Ambrose moved away and RVD leapt onto the corner then sprang back for a flying cross body near fall.  RVD managed to knock Ambrose to the mat and then looked at the fans before heading to the corner to set up for a Frogsplash.  He was cut short when The Shield's theme music hit and they came down through the crowd.

Mark Henry's song came on and he came down to help RVD, followed by Big Show.  WWE headed to a commercial break for the new WWE 2K14 video game.  After break, Show/Henry and Rollins/Reigns were serving as lumberjacks of sorts on the outside.  RVD had several near falls with the crowd hot.  Ambrose later missed on a leg drop from the corner, and RVD set up on the corner for a move but was distracted by The Shield on the apron.  RVD finally hit Rolling Thunder, and then connected on a Frogsplash for a pin.  However, Reigns got into the ring and speared RVD down causing the ref to call for the bell.  Henry and Big Show got into the ring to chase off The Shield who got into the crowd smiling at the save.

Winner: Rob Van Dam wins against Dean Ambrose due to disqualification.  Ambrose retains the US Title.

Summerslam opened with The Miz hitting the stage to welcome fans to the pay-per-view. He talked up the co-main event of Punk vs. Brock and Bryan vs. Cena for the WWE Title. Fandango's music hit and he arrived out on stage dancing with Summer Rae to interrupt. Miz said "Really?" several times, then welcomed everyone to Summerslam. A video package showcased the two big main events.

Lillian Garcia introduced Jo Jo from "Total Divas" to sing the national anthem.  The U.S. and Spanish announce teams were shown right before the first match started.

Kane vs. Bray Wyatt (Ring of Fire Match)

Kane's pyro shot off and he came to the ring first, surveying the setup of the flame strips around the sides of the ring.  His theme music cut out and the Wyatts were shown up on the screen.  Bray lit the lantern and announced, "We're Here."  The trio made their way to the ring for the opening match.  Bray sat down in the rocking chair with Harper and Rowan standing alongside him on the ramp.  The lantern went out and the lights came on before Wyatt got into the ring.  The ref called for the bell and the flames went up around the sides of the ring.

Kane got the early advantage after punching Wyatt down.  The flames shot up even more.  Rowan and Harper tried to approach near ringside but the flames shot up scaring them back.  Moments later, Kane blocked several duplex tries and hit one of his own on Wyatt.  Wyatt took control of things but Kane soon responded by grabbing him around the throat.  Bray fought back, but Kane booted him down.  A sidewalk slam by Kane made the flames shoot up again.  One of the Wyatts friend to hand a Kendo stick in to Kane, but it caught on fire.  A nearby fireman blew out the stick with an extinguisher.  The Wyatt family tried to spray the extinguisher on one side of the ring, but failed.

Kane hit a big chokeslam but didn't go for the pinfall.  Instead, he hit a second chokeslam on him, then gave the cutthroat sign.  All of a sudden, Harper and Rowan grabbed a blanket of some sort from nearby and put it on the side of the flames.  It caused the fire to go out, as they set up some steel steps and got into the ring to attack.  Kane fought them off for a bit, but then hit a huge splash on Kane and left him laying on the mat.  Rowan and Harper helped Bray up to his knees, then they held up Kane.  Wyatt smirked then hit his finisher before pinning Kane.  The ref counted it as the Wyatt family watched.

Post-match, Bray sat in his rocking chair as Rowan and Harper put Kane on half of the steel stamps at the bottom of the ramp.  They grabbed the other half, the brought it over and slammed it down on Kane's head to put him out of commission.

Winner: Bray Wyatt won via pinfall over Kane in the Ring of Fire match.

Cody Rhodes vs. Damien Sandow

Sandow got the early advantage, taking the fight outside the ring and attacking Rhodes.  Back in the ring. Rhodes backed Sandow into the ring corner to break a hold.  Cody went for Cross Rhodes but Sandow blocked it and flipped Cody to the mat, before hitting a side Russian leg sweep.  Sandow hit the Elbow of Disdain for an early near fall.

Later on, Rhodes hit a Brainbuster move from the corner for a near fall of his own.  Later still, Cody managed to hit the Disaster Kick and went for the pinfall, but Sandow kicked out at the last moment.  Sandow dodged Rhodes in the corner, then rolled him up for another near fall.  Rhodes evaded Sandow moments later and hit Cross Rhodes for the win.

Winner: Cody Rhodes wins via pinfall over Damien Sandow.

Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio
World Heavyweight Championship Match

Late in the match, Christian set up on the ring corner for a move but had his back turned to Del Rio who jumped up and hit him with a Backstabber.  Del Rio grabbed a pinfall but Christian kicked out.  Moments later, Del Rio hit a hard kick on Christian's head in the corner for another pinfall attempt.  Christian avoided another Del Rio move from off the corner, then hit a flying elbow to take him down.  Christian tried to rev up the fans, but Del Rio backed Christian into the corner and kept ramming into him, before setting up for the Superplex.   Christian flipped over and tried a Sunset Flip, but Del Rio hung onto the ropes then punched Christian in the face to break it.  Christian hit a huge Hurricanrana for a near fall of his own with the crowd hot for a finish.

Moments later, Christian went for a Spear, but Del Rio got both feet up to kick Christian in the face.  Del Rio with a quick cover but somehow, Christian kicked out.  ADR went for a submission, but Christian escaped that and hit a drop toe hold.  Del Rio with another kick to the face as Christian got into the ring and another near fall.  Del Rio's nose looked a bit busted up as the crowd chanted "This is Awesome!"

Christian finally hit a Spear and took down ADR, but his shoulder was hurt.  Christian sat up holding his arm and wincing.  ADR rolled over, grabbed Christian and locked on the arm bar submission.  Christian tried to break out and withstand it, but ultimately tapped out.  Post-match, Renee Young interviewed ADR in the ring about his win.  He talked about how he is still the world champion and is representing the Mexican people, giving them a "hero and idol" to look up to.  ADR hoisted up the championship belt after tossing the mic down.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio wins via submission over Christian to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Natalya vs. Brie Bella

During the match, Eva Marie and Nikki got involved several times.  At one point, Brie escaped a Sharpshooter, throwing Natalya into the corner.  The Funkadactyls rushed around the ring and attacked Eva and Nikki to get involved.  The crowd had several chants including chanting for each of the commentators, and then a "We Want Ryder, Woo Woo Woo!" chant.  Utlimately, Natalya was able to hit an Alabama Slam and get the Sharpshooter on in the middle of the ring for the submission win.

Winner: Natalya defeated Brie Bella via submission.

CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar
No Disqualification Match

Punk sprang to attack Brock as the bell sounded, but Lesnar quickly slammed him to the corner, then threw him into the adjacent corner.  A huge CM Punk chant started up.  Cole announced there were 17,749 in attendance at the Staples Center.  Punk managed to recover and hit a series of knees. The first took Lesnar down to the ropes, and the second knocked him out of the ring.  Punk followed with a suicide dive to take Brock down near the ramp, with Heyman looking worried.

Punk took the top of the steel steps off and went to hit Lesnar with them, but Brock was up and rammed into the steps to knock Punk down.  Lesnar put Punk on his shoulder and ran at the ring post, but Punk slid off and shoved Brock into the post instead.  Punk followed with a double axe handle off the corner to take Brock down again.

However, Punk turned his attention to go chase down Heyman on the side of the ring.  Lesnar quickly attacked from behind, and moments later threw him across the announce table.  He threw part of the announce table onto Punk on the floor then stomped on it with Heyman laughing.

Lesnar regained control in the ring, beating down Punk more and locking a Bear Hug in.  Punk used elbows to the had to break out of the hold, but Lesnar used a big knee to the gut to take Punk back down.  Punk retaliated more moments later and went for a move off the corner.  Lesnar caught him from the air and tossed him backwards overhead.  Heyman yelled "Make him pay the price, show him who is the Beast!"

At one point, Punk pulled out an ear bite move to stun Lesnar, then kicked him multiple times.  Lesnar looked dazed and confused.  Punk got onto the corner and hit Lesnar with double knees, and the two both seemed out of it.  Lesnar backed to one corner and Punk went to the opposite, then delivered a running high knee.  Punk went for another and Lesnar tossed him overhead.  Punk managed to elude a move by Brock, then hit a roundhouse kick to knock Brock to the mat.  Punk delivered a flying elbow drop off the corner for a near fall.

The two traded setups for their finishing moves, with Punk delivering another roundhouse kick to knock Lesnar down.  Punk finally got Brock up for a GTS and went for it, but Brock countered it putting the Kimora submission onto Punk.  Punk's arm was bent backwards but he moved around Brock to change up the submission into one of his own.  Brock moved and Punk put Brock into the Trianble submission.  Brock fought it off, stood up and slammed Punk down to the mat again.  Brock fought off tapping out for a while, looking like he wanted to tap.  Lesnar stood up again with Punk up in the air.  Brock finally ran with Punk up on his shoulders and hit a Powerbomb, then had another near fall.

Brock ended up outside the ring later and went for a steel chair.  Punk got on the corner and jumped off with Brock holding the chair up.  Punk flew onto Brock, hurting his ribs but also crashing onto Brock.  Both men got back in the ring, with Lesnar taking the steel chair.  He went to smash it on Punk, but Punk hit a low blow to take down Brock.  Punk got up on the corner with the steel chair and tucked it under his arm, then flew off and landed with a steel chair elbow onto Brock's head.  Incredibly, Lesnar kicked out of the attempt.

Later on, Punk tried to repeatedly bash the chair on Lesnar, but Heyman got on the apron and grabbed it.  Punk turned around and went after Heyman, but Brock attacked from behind.  He hoisted up Punk for the F5, but Punk had Heyman's tie, choking him.  Brock finally dropped Punk who put up Lesnar and hit the GTS.  However, Heyman came into the ring to break up a pinfall attempt.

Heyman got into the ring again with a chair as Punk had a submission on Brock.  Punk let go of the hold and stepped on the chair, and eventually punched down Heyman.  Moments later, Brock had the steel chair and smashed it down on Punk several times, before putting up Punk for a closing F5 face-first onto the steel chair.  Lesnar with the pin and victory.

Winner: Brock Lesnar won via pinfall over CM Punk in the no disqualification match.

Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn vs. Big E Langston & AJ Lee

The Doritos "Boldest Fan" was able to sit in front of the announcers table with three friends. He won a challenge to take a splash from Mark Henry in the ring during a Summerslam Axxess event. During the match, Kaitlyn managed to escape a sleeper hold from AJ, then crawled over to tag in Dolph. Moments later, Kaitlyn came in to break up a Big E pinfall attempt on Dolph. AJ came in and kicked Kaitlyn to the outside.

The finish saw Dolph set up for a move with AJ grabbing Dolph's leg from the outside. Kaitlyn speared down AJ, and Big E took down Ziggler for a near fall. Big E set up for a finisher moments later, but Dolph escaped off his shoulder and hit the Zig Zag for the win.

Winners: Dolph Ziggler & Kaitlyn defeated Big E Langston & AJ via pinfall.

Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena
WWE Championship Match

Special referee Triple H had the first introduction and came out to his "King of Kings" theme song.  Next up was Daniel Bryan who drew plenty of "Yes!" cheers from the crowd.  His music stopped and then it was time for Cena's intro which drew plenty of audible boos from the crowd.

Cole pointed out the swollen up elbow that was bandaged up on Cena, suggesting Bryan might target that injury.  There was an early takedown and then both wrestlers reset to opposite corners.  Bryan nearly took down Cena with a submission, but Cena eluded it and slipped out of the ring.  He went over to the WWE physician near the timekeeper's area and pointed at his elbow.  Lawler asked the doctor what Cena said and he said he told him the elbow's fine.

Cena used power moves, but Bryan did intelligent wrestling counters, including a near fall.  Cena went for an AA, but Bryan grabbed the top rope and then jumped onto the side apron.  Cena ran the ropes and smashed into Bryan sending him into the commentators table.  Cena tried to whip Bryan to the steel steps, but Bryan reversed and sent Cena into them shoulder first.  Bryan went to suplex Cena off the steps, but Cena blocked it and hit his own suplex.

Later, Bryan escaped an Irish Whip and jumped onto the corner, then backflipped over Cena.  He ran against the ropes and hit Cena with a flying clothesline for a takedown.  Bryan then delivered multiple kicks to Cena's chest, but Cena ducked the last one, then hit his multiple shoulder tackles.  Cena slammed Bryan down and went for the Five Knuckle, but Bryan kicked him in the head.  Moments later, Cena slammed Bryan down again, and this time delivered a FIve Knuckle Shuffle.  Cena set up for the AA, but Bryan flipped out of it then got up on the corner and delivered a missile dropkick for a near fall.

Cena nearly put Bryan into the STF, but Bryan blocked it and then put the STF onto Cena instead.  Cena struggled for the bottom rope.  Bryan pulled him back, but yanked up Cena with a German Suplex into a pinfall attempt.  Cena kicked out, and Bryan did another German suplex into pinfall, with Cena kicking out.  From there, Bryan locked the Yes Lock on.  Cena stood up, fighting out of the hold, but Bryan jumped onto Cena with another hold, wrapping his legs around Cena's torso, and putting his arm around Cena's neck.  However Cena stood up with Bryan still locked on and rammed him into the corner twice.  Finally, Cena flipped Bryan up into the corner.  Cena fell to the mat, worn down.

As they both got up, Cena charged over and hit the AA quick.  He had the pinfall, but Bryan kicked out, surprising the crowd.  Cena went to the top rope, but Bryan rushed over to attack.  Cena fought him off several times, with Bryan continuing to rush up and attack.  He hit a huge double kick then climbed on the corner with Cena and almost landed a Superplex.  Instead he flung cent down to the mat, with Bryan keeping his legs on the corner.  Cole noted Bryan didn't absorb hitting the mat.  From there, Bryan flew off the corner with a headbutt for a very near fall.

Bryan rushed against the ropes and was going for the suicide dive, but Cena was up and hit him with a forearm smash to the face.  Cena then got on the top rope and hit a flying leg drop off the corner for another very near fall.  Moments later, Cena got Bryan up on his shoulders on the corner ropes.  Bryan fought out with repeated elbows to "Yes" yells from the crowd.  Bryan went for a Hurriccanrana but Cena blocked it and jumped off the corner, hitting Bryan's head on the mat.

Cena and Bryan traded submission move attempts, but both guys fought out of it.  Cole and Lawler said Triple H may have been calling for the doctor for Cena, but Cena waved it off.  Bryan hit multiple running knees to Cena's face, and kept going for it, but on the third attempt Cena smashed him down with a clothesline.  A "this is awesome" chant started up from the crowd.

Cena and Bryan traded strikes and kick moves with the crowds giving dueling chants.  The two flew into each other from against the ropes and hit the mat for a break.  Back on their feet, they traded slaps to fire each other up.  Bryan started to attack but Cena whipped him to the corner.  Bryan jumped up and did a backflip, but Cena grabbed him and put him on his shoulders.  He went for a move but Bryan countered to DDT Cena to the mat.  Back to the top rope for Bryan, and he went for a flying move.  Cena was on his feet and caught him, then put him for an AA.  Bryan countered again and turned it into a pinfall.  Cena kicked out.  Bryan caught him with a kick to the head.

Bryan went to the corner and revved up the crowd with Yes chants.  He ran at Cena and hit a huge kick to level Cena, then pinned him with Triple H counting for 3.  Bryan jumped up, celebrating his victory.  Triple H patted Bryan on the back.  Cena got to his feet and spun Bryan around.  Triple H stood nearby in case of a fight.  Cena extended a handshake to Bryan and then to Triple H before leaving the ring.  Bryan's music hit again and he began to celebrate.  HHH held up Bryan's hand in victory, then shook his hand as Yes! chants rang out and confetti fell from the ceiling.

Post-match, with Bryan still celebrating and after some pyro went off, Randy Orton's music hit and out came the Money in the Bank winner with his briefcase.  He stopped at the bottom of the ramp with Bryan daring him to get into ring.  Orton stopped though and held up the briefcase to remind Bryan what he has inside.  Orton started back up the ramp and Bryan began to celebrate.  Orton stopped about midway up the ramp, turned back and stared at Bryan.  Suddenly, Triple H grabbed Bryan, spun him around and hit him with a Pedigree to leave him layed out on the mat.

Winner: Daniel Bryan defeated John Cena via pinfall to become new WWE Champion.

Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan
WWE Championship Match

Orton cautiously stepped into the ring with the fallen Daniel Bryan and referee Triple H.  He glanced at HHH, then handed over his MITB briefcase.  HHH asked for the bell.  Orton turned Bryan over and made a secure pinfall cover, with Triple H counting the 1-2-3.  With that, Orton became the new WWE Champion.

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over Daniel Bryan to become the new WWE Champion.
