The Undertaker's Deal
Fans (myself included) have been wondering the status and the latest news on the Undertaker. According to Undertaker's (real name: Mark Calaway) Wikipedia page he is currently doing real estate deals with a business partner. This comes from the Undertaker's Wikipedia entry:
"As The Undertaker has been absent from the WWE due to his 2007 injury, (Mark) Calaway has been getting into real estate with his partner Scott Everhart. Calaway and Everhart finished construction on a 2.7 million dollar building in Loveland, Colorado. The building, filled with upscale office space, is named the "The Calahart" (a combination of their last names). Undertaker is due to return to the ring in November, but Calaway has come to the realization that his WWE career cannot last forever. Calaway has said that being a TV star certainly helps him in the real estate business, he was recently quoted saying "by no means does it seal the deal, but people do want to sit down and talk with you. It helps us get to meet a lot of people and know what we’re trying to get accomplished."
A June 16th article from WindsorBeacon.com discussed Taker dropping by town to check out Real Estate:
"The likable Calaway was in the Windsor area last week to look into some real estate deals with the investment partner Scott Everhart.
Calaway, 42, took a few minutes to stop by the Windsor Chamber of Commerce charity golf tournament at Pelican Lakes Golf Course, Friday June 15th.
He surprised and amazed Chamber officials (see Michal Connors and Connie Rutz above) with his kindness and generosity.
Calaway is taking a little time off to let his right arm heal.
He tore his right biceps muscle from the bone during a May 11 match. Don't worry, wrestling fans, the injury will likely keep him out of action for just five months."
Smart guy for sure, getting deals done while injured and possibly eliminating the need for further WWE work or endorsements. It will be great to see Taker return to action too, so let's hope for a speedy and successful recovery. The word is Taker will start training at Booker T's school in Houston, Texas around the end of August to prepare for his in-ring return estimated to be around October or November.
