WWE News: Booker, PPV's, ECW
Here's some of the best stuff from around the internet which includes interesting WWE stories, inteviews and events coming up. Today's info includes Sgt. Slaughter, Kurt Angle, King Booker, The ECW and the Judgement Day Pay Per View 2008.
The Orlando Sentinel has a great article/interview with Booker T who recently quit the WWE. In the article Booker discusses that he left because he felt WWE didn't try to protect him from the steroid allegations and that he was unfairly suspended. Booker also talks about how he wanted a Booker vs. Jerry Lawler match at Summerslam, and how he was unhappy being traded to Raw. Full article on Booker T here.
The Times Tribune, a media source out of Scranton, Pennsylvania discusses how wrestling is returning to their area for the first time in nearly a decade on November 3rd. The "Electric City Slam" event will be at Lackawanna College and benfits its athletic department. The show will feature Sgt. Slaughter, Jerry Lawler and TNA's Kurt Angle. Read more about the event here
Cassidy Haslett over at wrestling101.com has an article discussing several errors that exist over on WWE.com's ECW section. Errors include listing Mike Knox and Kelly Kelly as each other's "associates" still and listing John Morrison as Johnny Nitro. An interesting read and despite all that there is good news that Sci Fi will continue to broadcast ECW through 2008.
If you live in or near the Omaha, Nebraska area, Judgement Day will take place there next year on May 18, 2008. Tickets actually go on sale this Saturday. Head over to Ticketmaster Saturday for tickets.
