Smackdown Recap from Biloxi, MS:

Smackdown opened with video game simulated footage of Batista versus Umaga in the Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 game. Both wrestlers got moves in on each other, with Batista ending up victorious after a Batista Bomb. After the footage, the real Batista came down to the ring to kick off the show.

Deuce & Domino vs. Batista
2 on 1 Handicap match

Footage shown from last week's MVP vs Batista contest with the US title on the line. Just when Batista seemed ready to win it, Umaga entered the ring and gave Batista the Samoan Spike, allowing MVP to win.

In this tune-up handicap match, Batista went after both men early on, but Deuce scored a dropkick to tag in Domino. The tag champs tried to wear down the Animal, but Batista was hyped for his upcoming WM24 match. With D&D both in the ring, Batista speared down Domino then tossed Deuce out of the ring. Domino went at Batista and received a spine buster followed by a Batista Bomb to give Batista a quick win.

Winner: Batista wins via pinfall over Deuce & Domino.

Cherry shown backstage in a dressing room putting on makeup. Maryse came up to her to tell her D&D just lost. Maryse then remarked that the Diva contest must be fixed because look at her compared to Cherry. Maryse called Cherry a "dog and not a diva", then left the dressing room.

Smackdown Diva Contest

Smackdown assistant GM was in the ring to introduce Week 3 of the Smackdown Diva competition. The winning diva will get a custom motorcycle courtesy of Beverly Hills Chopper. Teddy introduced the WWE Divas, and Eve Torres, Cherry, Victoria and Michelle McCool each made their way to the ring. Tonight's competition was arm wrestling featuring elimination rounds. Eve and Victoria went first, with Victoria taunting the new diva before defeating her by slamming Eve's arm down. Michelle faced Cherry next with Michelle winning. In the final round, Michelle went against Victoria, with Victoria grunting and groaning in pain. Michelle eventually slammed Victoria's arm down.

Teddy Long then announced that Victoria had been eliminated due to fan vote. Eve, Cherry and Michelle McCool remain. Text EVE, CHERRY or MICHELLE to 44993 to Vote for your favorite. Following the announcement, Victoria exited the ring then came back to attack Michelle. Cherry and Eve held them apart, and Michelle delivered a kick to Victoria sending her out of the ring.

Show dominated the 3 men, finishing off one of his opponents with a few right hand punches before taking the pinfall. Michael Cole noted that the "kid seemed hurt" and then discussed how Big Show outweighs Mayweather by about 300 lbs.

Winner: Big Show wins via pinfall over Stevens, Douglas, and Hawx.

Footage shown about the Make a Wish Foundation which will grant 50 wishes for 50 children at Wrestlemania 24. Raven Symone will be the special hostess for this part of WM24.

Funaki vs. Edge

Edge was accompanied to the ring by Ryder & Hawkins. Edge taunted Funaki early to start the match off. Off the ropes, Edge hit into Funaki with his shoulder, dropping Funaki. Funaki was able to gain momentum by flying from off the corner ropes to splash Edge, but Edge followed with a boot to the face. Edge kept Funaki down, using a knee to his face and choking him against the bottom rope. Edge took Funaki to the outside where he tossed him around then back into the ring.

Funaki tried to fight back, but Edge hit a swinging neckbreaker. Funaki gained momentum again, but failed at a pin. Funaki ran off the ropes, but Edge gave a quick spear down. Edge pulled up as the ref counted 2, then got a sick look on his face. Edge mocked Undertaker with his eyes and the RIP symbol. Edge then finished Funaki by using Undertaker's signature move, the Tombstone Piledriver.

After winning, WWE's Edge picked up the mic with Ryder and Hawkins in the ring. Edge reminded everyone he's never lost to Undertaker and tonight he's stepped things up to a new level. Edge said by the end of tonight, everyone will realize what he's capable of.

Winner: Edge wins via pinfall over Undertaker.

MVP's VIP Lounge

MVP had a ladder set up in the ring with his lounge scene, and the Money in the Bank briefcase hanging above the ring. MVP said his guest tonight is a man who may have invented the Ladder match, Chris Jericho. MVP boasted before having Jericho come to the ring, discussing how he's one of the longest reigning US title holders. MVP discussed beating Batista, Flair, Kane and Rey Mysterio who were all former World Champions. MVP claimed he will win the WM24 MITB match and started saying how he's better than every wrestler in the match. Jericho's music and pyrotechnics came on to interrupt.

Michael Cole noted this is Chris Jericho's first appearance on Smackdown in six years time. Jericho told MVP he hates hearing from loud mouth guys who have their own talk show. MVP interrupted Jericho and reminded Y2J of how he got knocked out by Big Show on Raw. Jericho joked using the Titantron about what MVP's parents could have called him, with one name's initials spelling out "ZIT" and the other spelling "LOSER". Jericho had another name put up on the screen spelling out "JACKASS", infuriating MVP. MVP talked about how Jericho couldn't Save anyone, especially himself from JBL, Orton or Big Show. MVP climbed the ladder and grabbed the briefcase to show Jericho what he will do at WM24. Jericho walked over and pushed the ladder onto the ropes, causing MVP to fall to the mat. Y2J picked up the briefcase and posed in the ring corner with it as his music hit.

Chuck Palumbo vs. Kane

Cole and Coach discussed how WWE's Kane one of the favorites for the WM 24 man battle royal. The winner gets a shot at Chavo Guerrero for the ECW title. Chuck Palumbo will also be in the match along with WWE Superstars Great Khali, Mark Henry and Big Daddy V.

Kane went for a quick pin after dropping Chuck with a shoulder block. Chuck battled back and punched Kane in the corner, before Kane countered then tossed Chuck into it. Palumbo countered to throw Kane shoulder first into the corner ringpost, then began to work on Kane's hurt shoulder/arm. Chuck punched Kane into the corner, then pulled him out just to clothesline him down. Chuck continued to hold Kane's hurt arm with Kane down on the mat. Chuck tried to run against the ropes then charge at Kane, but received Kane's boot to his face. Kane went to the top rope then jumped off to clothesline Chuck down. Kane prepared for a Chokeslam, but Chuck rolled out of the ring.

Kane left the ring to grab Chuck, slamming him around, then tossed him back into the ring. At one point Chuck tried to go on the offensive, but Kane clotheslined him over the top rope. After a commercial break, the match resumed with Kane in control. Both men knocked into each other off the ropes and were down for a ref count. Just then, the Great Khali's music came on and Khali walked down to get into the ring. Kane delivered the Khali Bomb to both Chuck and Kane, leaving them down on the mat. Mark Henry came out next and got into Khali's face. Mark Henry showed impressive strength as he blocked a Khali shot and then slammed Khali to the mat. Henry splashed Palumbo and Kane in opposite corners, before slamming both men down.

Winner: No winner due to Khali's interference.

Coach and Cole discussed the upcoming March 29th, 2008 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony featuring Ric Flair, Jack and Jerry Brisco, Mae Young and Eddie Graham, the latest inductee. Eddie Graham was a pro wrestler and promoter during the earlier years of Vince McMahon Sr.'s wrestling organizations. Dusty Rhodes will be on hand for the ceremony to induct Eddie Graham.

WWE Slam of the Week showed last Friday's Miz vs John Morrison match. Morrison picked up the win with a Swinging neckbreaker to complete this year's Money in the Bank Ladder match field.

Jesse & Festus vs. The Miz & John Morrison
WWE Tag title match

Once the bell rang, Festus turned into a monster, attacking his opponents. Festus beat up Morrison in and out of the ring. Miz tried to jump off the corner ropes to attack Festus, but was met by a huge punch. Festus continued to beat Morrison up, then tagged Jesse in. Jesse continued the momentum but failed at a quick pin.

Miz caused an out of ring distraction which allowed Morrison to get a spin kick on Jesse. The tag champs started to beat on Jesse to wear him down. Miz used a submission hold to keep Jesse down to the mat, away from Festus. Morrison tagged in to continue working on Jesse. Jesse kept trying to escape the tag champs to make a tag to an eager Festus. Jesse eventually countered a Morrison move and tagged in Festus. Miz tagged in as well but got to face Festus on a rampage. Festus began to beat up both of the tag champs inside the ring. Festus tagged in Jesse who got onto the top ropes. Despite Jesse landing a missile launcher move onto Miz, Morrison came over and pulled the top rope down so Festus fell out. Morrison prevented Jesse's pin on Miz, then Miz was able to hit the Reality Check to pick up the win.

Winners: The Miz & John Morrison win via pinfall over Jesse & Festus to retain the WWE Tag team titles.

Michael Cole announced that Vickie Guerrero has signed a blockbuster main event for next week's Smackdown. Two of the wrestlers from the MITB match will face off, when Intercontinental Chris Jericho battles Smackdown's champion, MVP, just a few days ahead of Wrestlemania 24.

Raw Rebound showed highlights from John Cena/Randy Orton taking on the entire Raw roster. It came down to Umaga & JBL against Cena and Orton, with Umaga delivering Samoan Spikes to both men. JBL missed a chair shot on Orton and hit Umaga by accident, causing Umaga to chase JBL out of the ring. With Cena and Orton down on the mat, Triple H came down to the ring and Pedigreed both men. Triple H held the WWE title as Raw ended.

Michael Cole and Coach ran down the lineup of Wrestlemania 24 matches including the Triple Threat, Umaga vs. Batista (Brand Superiority) and Flair vs. Shawn Michaels match.

Chavo Guerrero vs. The Undertaker

Chavo had Ryder, Hawkins and Edge in his corner for the match. With Edge watching, Taker started early by kicking Chavo then whipping him to the rope, then tossing Chavo up over his back. Taker went Old School off the ropes on Chavo, then punched away at him in the corner. Ryder caused a distraction for Taker allowing Chavo to get a kick in. Chavo began to punch away at Taker until the ref told him to stop. Taker grabbed Chavo and tossed him to the corner for more punches. Taker was able to get a side slam on Chavo. Edge, Ryder & Hawkins taunted Taker near the ropes, and Chavo ran over to clothesline Taker out.

After attacking Taker outside the ring, Chavo tossed him back in and did a springboard off the ropes. Chavo began to punch and hammer away at Taker while he was down. Taker broke a Chavo submission hold by standing and lifting Chavo up, then slamming him back. Edge and Hawkins tried to get on the apron to distract. Taker ran over and knocked both men off, then caught Chavo from off the ropes in a Chokeslam. Ryder came in the ring to go at Taker, and Taker grabbed him then tossed him out onto Edge/Hawkins.

Taker grabbed Chavo into an Indian deathlock submission hold and Chavo quickly tapped out. After the win, Ryder, Hawkins and Edge triple teamed Taker. Edge speared down Taker, and all 3 men grabbed steel chairs to bash repeatedly on the Phenom. Edge diabolically continued smashing a chair on the beaten up Undertaker, delivering a solid shot to the face to lay out Undertaker. Edge placed a chair under Taker's head and had Ryder/Hawkins hold him in place, as Edge slammed another chair on Taker's head. Edge stood over Taker saying "It's Over this year" as Smackdown left the air.

Winner: Undertaker wins via submission over Chavo Guerrero.
