Smackdown Preview 04.11.08
Tonight's WWE Smackdown will feature a match between two of the most unique and often bizarre WWE superstars around. The Undertaker will do battle with Festus as Vickie Guerrero looks for more ways to wear down Taker after winning the World Heavyweight title. Festus has yet to be pinned by another wrestler, so how will Undertaker fare against his new opponent when the bell rings? Will Festus' ring rage be enough to take out Taker?
Matt Hardy made a big return to Smackdown last week, and picked up a huge win over the man who sidelined him, MVP. Hardy defeated the US Champion by pinfall which definitely seems to propel Matt into #1 contender status for the title. Will a match be announced for Matt vs. MVP at Backlash? Or will MVP continue to use tactics to duck his one-time tag team partner, Matt Hardy?
This week's Smackdown will also see the return of two familiar faces. WWE Superstar Finlay and his son Hornswoggle will appear on the show. They were last seen losing at Wrestlemania 24 to JBL in a Belfast Brawl. What will the Irish father-son duo have in store for Smackdown?
There's also sure to be more fallout from the newly announced Shawn Michaels vs. Batsita match for Backlash. WWE.com has learned that Khali is planning a “Punjabi Peace Offering” ceremony this week for the Big Show. In addition, questions remain over who the new diva is that attacked Michelle McCool on last week's show.
