Undertaker will not R.I.P.

At Sunday's One Night Stand Pay-Per-View it took the help of La Familia and 4 tables to KO the Undertaker. Besides allowing Edge to climb the ladder and win the World Heavyweight title, it also has ended Undertaker's WWE career. Or so they say. This was a mandate by Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero, who we all know in recent weeks was nearly fired by the WWE's board. Teddy Long even informed her she was overstepping her power in terms of her relationship with Edge. In prior weeks, Vickie stripped Undertaker of his World Heavyweight title and banned his choke submission move which he used to defeat Edge at Wrestlemania.

We all know the Undertaker never dies, and never leaves because of someone else. To think this is the way his career would end is ridiculous, as the Deadman always rises up and returns. He did so last year to face Mark Henry. Taker's survived all sorts of burials, casket matches, cage matches, Hell in a Cell, and other attempts by wrestlers to bury his body and legacy. He just keeps coming back.

This time I'd expect he comes back with the help of Teddy Long. Eventually Long or someone else will replace Vickie Guerrero as head of Smackdown. When they do, they will inform her and everyone else that she abused her power while in a relationship with a WWE superstar. They'll likely reinstate Undertaker and he'll come back to take the belt. For now, Undertaker may be taking some time off to rest an older body. He's up there in years, has other business ventures to tend to, and may have asked for some time to heal up. We all know his streak lives and dies at Wrestlemania, so expect his legacy to end at that event, rather then a One Night Stand.
