Poll: Which Champ Loses 1st in 2009?
It's a brand new year for World Wrestling Entertainment and several superstars are carrying titles into the New Year. Some are brand new to that particular title, others have longstanding reigns or are returning champs.
John Cena's no stranger to holding the prized belt on Raw, only this time he heads into 09' with the World Heavyweight instead of the WWE title. Jeff Hardy owns the distinction of WWE Champion with his first reign ever, kicking his 2009 off to a great start. Then there's superstars such as Shelton Benjamin and WWE Diva Beth Phoenix. Each has held their respective title, the United States title and Womens Championship for quite some time and seem to be dominating their competitors. The tag belts belong to the teams of ECW's The Miz and John Morrison and the Colons on Smackdown. Matt Hardy's been looking strong on ECW, but Jack Swagger continues his meteoric rise from rookie to superstar #1 contender. And then there's William Regal, reigning King of the Ring 2008 and the Intercontinental Champion. Many may feel he's about due to lose his belt with a hungry CM Punk winning a tournament to become #1 Contender. The two face off early in 2009 on Raw.
