Smackdown Preview 01.09.09

The theme for tonight's Smackdown will be "Triple Jeopardy" for WWE Superstar, Triple H. Due to HHH's constant jokes about GM Vickie Guerrero's weight last week as well as revealing that nude photos of her were for sale on eBay, Vickie decide she had enough. The GM scheduled The Game to fight in three different matches on tonight's show: a Tables Match, a Handicap Match, and a Last Man Standing Match. Triple H is no stranger to fighting several matches in one night, as he did it before to defend the WWE title. Unfortunately, his last match of that WWE Pay-Per-View was a Last Man Standing Match, which he lost the title to Randy Orton in. Who will Triple H's opponents be for tonight's matches? Will The Game rise to the challenge or be shut down due to Vickie's grueling match schedule?

In other Smackdown stories, MVP just can't shake his losing streak. Last week the cocky Montell Vontavius Porter lost yet again, this time to the new superstar, Kizarny. MVP continues to lose contract money due to his losses, and has been continually ribbed by fellow Smackdown superstar, Mr. Kennedy. On tonight's show, MVP will "welcome" Kennedy to the VIP Lounge in the ring. What will MVP have to ask or say to Kennedy? Will Mr. Kennedy have news of his wrestling comeback to Smackdown? How will the two brash superstars get along in the ring on tonight's show?

Tonight's show will also feature a tag team title defense. Smackdown's Primo and Carlito have been on a roll since winning the WWE Tag Team titles. Over the past several weeks they've met some opposition from the team of The Brian Kendrick and his bodyguard, Ezekiel Jackson. Tonight, Kendrick and Ezekiel will get their shot at the WWE tag team titles for the first time. How will the duo fare as they try to win the WWE Tag titles?
