Snooki Joins Wrestlemania 27 Matches

The match is official. At Wrestlemania 27, Snooki from "Jersey Shore" will team up with WWE diva legend, Trish Stratus, and current Raw superstar, John Morrison. They'll be taking on the team of Michelle McCool, Layla and Dolph Ziggler, per the request of Vickie Guerrero.

Of course this move was orchestrated by Vince McMahon and the WWE to bring another celebrity into view with WWE. Previously they've had Kim Kardashian as part of Wrestlemania as they look for other ways to draw in new and current fans to the event.

This Wrestlemania definitely packs a punch with star power as they've already got Undertaker and Triple H making their first appearances in the ring after months away. Not only that, they're facing each other. Additionally, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock are going to be a part of the event to further bring fans to order the event on Pay-Per-View.

WWE notes on their preview of Snooki's tag match that she will join the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Mr. T, Pamela Anderson, Mike Tyson and Donald Trump, as one of the latest pop-culture icons to become part of the grandest stage of them all!

Smackdown Results from Green Bay, WI:

Smackdown opened with highlights from last Friday's main event mixed handicap tag match. Kelly Kelly partnered with Edge to face Team LayCool and Dolph Ziggler with the Heavyweight Championship on the line. Kelly ended up winning the match thanks to a Spear on Layla. After the match, Vickie Guerrero fired Kelly then told Edge he'll defend the title against Dolph again on the next Smackdown, with Vickie as the special guest referee.

On commentary for tonight's show: Josh Matthews, Michael Cole and Booker T.

Tony Chimel introduced Ricardo Rodriguez who was already in the ring, decorated for Valentine's Day. Del Rio's music started up and he drove out yet another fancy car as Rodriguez announced him in Spanish. They showed highlights of last week's fiesta in the ring involving Hornswoggle. Del Rio beat on Horney, prompting Kofi Kingston to rush to the ring for a save. He cleared the ring but got attacked by Del Rio and then beat with a stick.

Del Rio had Rodriguez bring in a heart shaped box of candies which they set up on a stand in the ring. Del Rio revealed that it said "Destiny" in fancy writing in the box, and then pulled the words off to reveal his own picture. Del Rio made a remark about how he doesn't need to pretend to be World Heavyweight Champion, referring to Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. Kofi Kingston arrived out with a mic to confront Del Rio about last week.

Kofi mentioned destiny and how he remembers the past and what Del Rio did to him wit ha kendo stick. Kofi said "this is your destiny," then grabbed a kendo stick from under the ring. He got in the ring and threatened to strike Del Rio who was cowering near the ropes. Kofi pretended he was going to back off, then gave a wink and smacked Del Rio hard with the stick. He smashed him against on the arm, driving Del Rio off. Kofi destroyed the in-ring set up, eventually smashing down Del Rio's picture, as Del Rio held his hurt arm up on the ramp.

Cole yelled at Booker for condoning the actions of Kofi Kingston as the announce team reviewed Kofi beating Del Rio with a kendo stick before break. The altercation lead to a match being set up.

Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio

This match eventually ended up outside the ring. Del Rio blocked Kofi on a move near the steel steps, then slammed Kofi's left arm against the steps to soften him up. Del Rio kicked Kofi's arm hard then tossed him into the ring. He sized up Kofi from the apron then got in the ring and locked the Cross Armbreaker on. Kofi soon tapped out. Del Rio kept the hold locked for a bit after the bell with the ref pulling him off. Ricardo Rodriguez announced the winner.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio wins via submission over Kofi Kingston.

Todd Grisham interviewed the World champion Edge backstage. Todd asked Edge if he thought Vickie Guerrero would officiate the title match fairly later on. Edge made a joke about it saying "when pigs fly, and Vickie in a jet doesn't count." Todd asked Edge how he plans to retain the title. Edge said he honestly has no idea.

Smackdown returned with Cole talking about Aaron Rodgers of the Super Bowl champion Packers displaying the World Heavyweight Championship belts. They showed members of the Packers in the crowd holding replica belts including Clay Matthews.

Vladimir Kozlov vs. Justin Gabriel

Fellow members of The Corre, Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson and Heath Slater, were around the ring for the match as Santino was also ringside. Kozlov used repeated headbutts to take down Gabriel. Jackson distracted the ref though across the ring and Slater tripped Kozlov down.

On the outside, Santino hit Slater with the Cobra. Justin Gabriel kicked Santino down through the ropes. Kozlov delivered a huge boot to Gabriel. However, Gabriel got his knees up on an elbow drop from Kozlov. With Kozlov down, Gabriel hit the 450 Splash for the win.

Post-match, Barrett and Jackson brought Santino into the ring. Barrett hit Waste Land on Santino, then Jackson did his one arm slam on Kozlov to slam Vlad next to Marella on the mat. The Corree held their arms up to pose over the tag champs.

Chris Masters vs. Drew McIntyre

After the bell ring, Drew rolled to the outside of the ring and grabbed the mic. The ref kept counting McIntyre as he was talking on the mic. He said he holds Edge full responsible for what happened to Kelly last week. Drew said he knows Kelly's watching and this one's for her.

Drew got back in the ring before 7, with Masters taking advantage with a quick attack and near fall. Later in the match, McIntyre tried for a backslide pin but Masters withstood it. Drew flipped over Masters' back and had him set up for Future Shock DDT, which he hit to win the match.

successful reconstructive surgery on his face after Mysterio's steel plate in his leg caught him during a match on the 619. Todd Grisham caught up with Rey backstage asking if he has any words for Cody Rhodes. Rey smirked and said he didn't break Rhodes' nose intentionally, and injuries do happen. Rey said he hopes Rhodes finds the strength and guts to make it back. Rey said tonight his focus is on Wade Barrett and then winning the Elimination Chamber so he can headline Wrestlemania 27.

Rey Mysterio vs. Wade Barrett

Barrett talked about how he'll be representing The Corre in Smackdown's Elimination Chamber. He said they're all equals but that he will be the man to go to Wrestlemania as World Champion. He said the next part of The Corre's plan lies with Rey Mysterio. Smackdown went to commercial with Barrett in the ring still.

Barrett tried to put away Rey Mysterio late in the match but couldn't. He tried for another move with Mysterio sending Barrett into the ropes and preparing for a 619. As Rey rushed towards the ropes, Justin Gabriel was on the apron. Rey dropkicked Gabriel down, but then turned around to receive a huge boot from Wade. Wade picked up Rey and hit Wasteland on him for the win.

Post-match, The Corre joined Barrett in the ring. He instructed them to beat on Rey even more so they stomped away on him. Justin Gabriel set up for a 450 Splash, but the Big Show's music hit. Show rushed to the ring and pushed Jackson out over the ropes. He chokeslammed Wade Barrett down then chest slapped Slater in the corner. Show singlehandedly headbutted and chopped down The Corre members in the ring. He had both Slater and Gabriel ready for a double chokeslam, but Jackson flattened him from behind. Corre gave Show a beating, then Jackson impressively suplexed Show.

Michelle McCool and Layla were walking together backstage and brought up how Eve is a snake and became part of their championship match. Michelle said it was a total fluke and if the ref had been doing her job, she would've been divas champion. Layla asked if she meant "we." Michelle said "whatever." Just then, Vickie Guerrero walked out of her office wearing a referee's shirt. She said she'd have to get the job done herself since LayCool couldn't last week. Ziggler came out of the office and called Layla a "loser." Ziggler and Vickie went off to get ready for the match. Layla said "uh Chelle, thanks for helping me out" then walked off.

Eve Torres vs. Layla

Layla slid out of the ring to talk to Michelle before the match. Layla said she needs Michelle's help in this. Eve came outside to shove down McCool, then smash Layla face first into the commentator's table. Cole tried to insult Matthews during the match saying he knows nothing about girlfriends. Booker asked Cole what he knows about girlfriends. Cole said nothing because he's been married 20 years.

Layla tried to hold Eve in a submission hold on the mat and show off to Michelle. Later on, Eve made a big comeback and hit the standing moonsault for a near fall. Later still, Eve had Layla set up for the moonsault. Eve went to the corner and tried to set up, but Michelle came over to distract. This allowed Layla to kick out Eve's legs, and Eve fell on her head down on the mat. Layla pulled Eve over and tried for a pinfall. Eve kicked out, reversing the pinfall and gaining the victory.

Post-match, Eve celebrated outside the ring with the championship belt. Layla and Michelle just gave each other confused looks. Layla seemed upset over the loss, with Michelle not knowing what to say or do. Eve defends the divas championship on Raw against Natalya.

Winner: Eve Torres wins via pinfall over Layla.

They showed Dolph Ziggler and World Champion Edge walking on split screen backstage, ready for the main event.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Edge
World Heavyweight Championship

Before the match even started, Vickie announced that if Edge uses the Spear in the match, he automatically loses the title to Dolph Ziggler. Vickie made a fast count on the pinfall early on. She also pulled Edge away from Dolph in the corner, then let Dolph hammer away on Edge in the corner.

At one point, Edge had a pinfall on Dolph near the ropes. Vickie placed Dolph's leg on the bottom rope to break it up. Moments later, both Edge and Ziggler were down. Vickie got down in the corner and got angry, begging Edge to get up. As he stood up, Vickie charged at him for the Spear. Vickie just bounced off him and fell to the mat, holding her ankle. A trainer helped Vickie to the outside. While she was distracted, Edge hit a Spear on Ziggler, but there was no ref available to count the pinfall.

With Vickie against the crowd barrier and the ref/trainer checking on her, Edge got in the corner and did another Spear on Ziggler. Vickie screamed about it, but wasn't available to make a decision. After several moments of waiting for a referee, Packers linebacker Clay Matthews came out from backstage wearing a referee's shirt. He turned his Packers hat backwards and rushed to the ring. Edge made the cover with Matthews making the 1-2-3 count for the win. Edge retains the title. Matthews got his replica belt and posed with the champ as Vickie screamed at a ref about the decision. Smackdown ended.

He drove out in a new Mercedes worth $150k as a present to himself for winning last night.

Del Rio gave a "told you so" speech about how it was destiny to win the Rumble, saying the people never listen. Del Rio talked about how great his mariachi band is, saying they're not Justin Bieber's music, and they only play for him and the Mexican president. He moved on to discussing how he has made a decision over which championship he'll challenge for. Del Rio started to say which one but then said something in Spanish. Rodriguez also spoke to him in Spanish. This brought The Miz out with Alex Riley.

Miz gave his congratulations for Del Rio winning the biggest Rumble ever. He said it's only as impressive as cashing in the MITB and beating Orton 3 times to retain the WWE Championship. Miz said he hopes Del Rio chooses him for Wrestlemania, saying he will still be champ then, but Edge won't. Miz told Del Rio Edge was telling everyone last night he can beat him at Wrestlemania and mocked Del Rio. Riley chimed in saying he heard Edge called Del Rio a second-rate JBL meets Tito Santana knockoff.

Del Rio accused Miz of lying to him and staging some sort of ploy. Miz said Edge is threatened by Del Rio after he took out his friend Christian. Del Rio was about to respond when the World Champion, Edge, came out to get into the discussion. Edge said he doesn't like Del Rio or respect him, but he won't say those things behind his back but he will say them to his face. Edge promised to defeat Del Rio if he faces him at Wrestlemania 27. Edge mocked Del Rio's catchphrase and gave him a mocking wink.

Del Rio was fired up enough and after staring at each guy said at Wrestlemania he will become the new World Champion. Edge said congratulations and gave Del Rio a punch to the face. Miz, Riley, Ricardo and the mariachis all escaped the ring. Del Rio was back on his feet and grabbed a guitar to smash over Edge. He locked on the Cross Armbreaker for a while before getting up to pose.

The commentators discussed what just happened with Miz, Riley, Del Rio and Edge. All of a sudden, the lights flashed with email sound chiming so Cole could get everyone's attention. The GM announced the first ever "Raw Rumble Match" with the winner going on to face the WWE Champion in one of the 2011 Elimination Chamber Matches, with the remaining six competitors battling in the actual Elimination Chamber. The crowd gave a spirited "Randy, Randy!" chant. Orton saw Harris laying face down, and walked over to him, then got a strange look on his face. Orton backed away as if he was going to go for his Punt kick, waiting to strike. Suddenly, CM Punk and the rest of Nexus came out from backstage. Punk told Orton "don't do it." Punk warned Orton that if he does it, there will be serious reprecussions for it. Orton bowed his head down as if he were going to leave, but then got a sick smile on his face, rushed over at Harris and punt kicked him. Orton escaped the ring and ran out through the crowd as Nexus rushed the ring. Orton stood up in the crowd area as Punk, Ryan and Otunga checked on Harris' condition in the ring.

Ted Dibiase arrived out with girlfriend Maryse. Dibiase had words for Jerry Lawler, saying his career is over and it's time for guys like him to step aside for the future. Dibiase suggested Lawler step aside and give him his spot in the Raw Rumble. Cole pulled the mic away from Lawler. He started talking about how Lawler is a legend but his nickname is "The Scene Stealer," and there's no way he'll allow he's going to allow his narcissistic ego give up his spot tonight. Lawler yanked the mic away to interject saying his Road to Wrestlemania has always been under construction, as he's been in WWE 18 years never competing in a match.

Lawler said his road to Wrestlemania starts tonight in the ring. Lawler said if not for Cole he'd probably have defeated Miz and would be WWE Champion now. Winners: Team LayCool wins via pinfall over Natalya & Eve Torres.

Mark Henry & Great Khali vs. The Usos

Josh Matthews joined Cole on commentary since Lawler was getting for the big Raw Rumble match later on. Matthews said the team of Henry/Khali weighs over 800lbs. Another email came in from the Raw GM with Cole getting up to read. The GM said it's clear that the Usos can't compete with Khali and Henry physically. The GM said instead they'll have a dance off to determine who's best.

The Usos did some breakdancing robot style moves, as Punk got up and started to boogie to the music. Khali did some arm breakdancing stuff that didn't look so fluid. Henry had better moves and did some sort of throw up and throw it at the Uso's. Cole said "this is brutal, Khali dances when there's no music." After the dance-off, the Usos tried to attack Khali and Henry. Instead they both got slammed down to the mat. Khali went for a pinfall with Cole making fun of him.

Winners: Great Khali and Mark Henry win a dance-off against The Usos.

They showed the ominous promo video again with some unidentified dark figure walking, almost looking like Undertaker from the feet up. The promo ended with 2/21/11.

Cole talked about the funniest fild trip of the year. The new movie "The Chaperone" stars WWE superstar Triple H and Ariel Winters from ABC's "Modern Family." Triple H plays a character fresh out of prison who goes to see his ex and becomes a role model for his daughter while trying to avoid the bad guys. They showed the movie trailer which features HHH trying for his first comedic/dramatic acting role.

7-Man Raw Rumble Match

The winner will face The Miz for the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View on 2/20/11. Justin Roberts said the 7 men in the match will enter in 90-second intervals. The first entry was John Morrison. Cole and Lawler reviewed Morrison getting pushed off the apron and jumping over to hang onto the barrier so his feet didn't touch the floor. Morrison did a tightrope walk on the barrier then jumped to the steel steps to get back in the match.

King Sheamus was the #2 entry to face Morrison. Sheamus got the upperhand and hit a backbreaker on Morrison just as the countdown clock reached 0. John Cena came out as #3 entry. Cena came in on fire to hit several moves on Sheamus and then went for the AA on Morrison. JMo landed on his feet to escape it then delivered a leaping kick to take down Cena. The #4 entry was New Nexus leader, CM Punk. Cena, Sheamus and JMo were still in action in the ring.

R-Truth came in #5 and nearly tossed Morrison out. Morrison hung onto the ropes and skinned the cat then used a headscissors to pull Truth out. Truth held onto the ropes too. Both guys were able to pull themselves back into the match. The #6 entry was Jerry Lawler with all competitors still remaining to fight in the ring. Lawler arrived in to deliver big punches on each guy and take them down. He nearly lifted Punk to eliminate him with Sheamus making a save. Sheamus started to push Lalwer over the top rope with Lawler desperately hanging on.

The final entry at #7 was The Viper, Randy Orton. CM Punk slipped out of the ring and hid under the ring. Orton went from side to side pulling the apron covers up. He finally found Punk and pulled him out by the legs, then chased him into the ring. Orton clobbered Morrison and Sheamus down then hit a huge clothesline on Punk to eliminated him. Truth ran over and tossed Orton out of the ring. Orton stared at Truth in the ring as Raw went to break.

Lawler and Morrison worked together to try to push Truth out of the ring while Sheamus was in command against Cena. Cena started to gain momentum with shoulder tackles and then the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena picked up both Truth and Morrison with an AA, then dumped Truth out of the ring. Morrison held onto the ropes though, setting up a battle on the apron with Cena. They exchanged strikes and both kept hanging on. Sheamus rushed at them both but fell over the ropes onto the apron. Lawler was still in the ring watching it all.

Cena got back in the ring as did Sheamus. Morrison almost fell to the floor but used his feet to hold ont othe bottom rope. Morrison went over and tossed Sheamus to the apron. Sheamus catapulted back into the ring and took down Morrison. Cena grabbed Sheamus and locked in the STF causing Sheamus to tap for no reason. Morrison did Starship Pain and his elbow caught Cena.

Jerry Lawler pushed Morrison over the ropes. Morrison used his hands as feet to stop himself on the floor. Sheamus finally eliminated Morrison with a huge Brogh kick to knock him off the apron. Cena hit the AA on Sheamus, and Lawler came over to dropkick Cena. Lawler tried to push Cena over the ropes. Cena hung on and Lawler tried to kick him out. Sheamus got up and attacked Lawler from behind.

In a bizarre finish, Sheamus shoved Lawler at Cena on the apron. Cena went flying off the ground and lost the match. Lawler shrugged and tried to apologize. Sheamus came running at Lawler with the kick. Cena got on the apron to pull the top rope down, eliminating Sheamus.

Winner: Jerry Lawler wins the Raw Rumble Match after eliminating Sheamus.

Post-match, Cena celebrated in the ring with Lawler. The Miz and Alex Riley were shown watching backstage and smirking about it. Cole was raving about how The Miz gets a night off in 3 weeks at Elimination Chamber.

Also announced for Friday, Dolph Ziggler and LayCool face Edge and Kelly Kelly in a 3-on-2 championship match on Smackdown. If LayCool or Dolph win the match, Edge loses his World Heavyweight title.

The 24th annual Royal Rumble opens with explosive pyrotechnics while "Living in a Dream" pumps over the speakers. Michael Cole announces that this is the official start for the "Road to Wrestlemania" with 15,113 members of the WWE Universe in Boston, MA at TD Garden tonight.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Edge
World Heavyweight Championship Match

A special stipulation was added to this match on Smackdown by Vickie Guerrero. If Edge uses the Spear move in this match he is disqualified and will lose his championship belt automatically. The commentators, Cole, Striker and Lawler reviewed this past Friday's tag match where Vickie banned Edge's Spear move. Edge still delivered several Spears on Ziggler post-match.

After the World Champion was introduced, Smackdown consultant Vickie Guerrero came out to remind Edge his move, The Spear, is officially banned tonight. Vickie said she's begging that Edge use the Spear at least once tonight. She tried to get the crowd into a "Spear" chant but received boo's instead. Vickie introduced her boyfriend, the challenger, Dolph Ziggler. Tony Chimel handled the official introductions next.

Edge had the first pinfall attempt of the match after he and Dolph traded offensive momentum. Edge fought his way out of a headlock and ultimately was able to slingshot Dolph into the corner. However, moments later Ziggler was back in control wearing Edge down with a headlock on the mat. Edge made it over to the apron and got himself up but Ziggler rushed over and knocked him off the apron. Dolph continued to use the headlock in the ring again, but Edge fought out once again. Both men collided moments later on a double flying cross body from the ropes. The ref made his count with both guys getting up after 5. Ziggler ran and jumped at Edge in the corner with Edge avoiding it. Another reset in the match as the referee counted.

Later still, Ziggler ran and tried for a Zig Zag with Edge countering it into a Powerbomb for another near fall. Edge climbed the ropes but Ziggler was back up and kneed him. The two opponents battled it out up on the corner with Ziggler trying a Superplex. Edge blocked it several times, punched away on Dolph then headbutted him down. Edge leapt off the corner to hit a crossbody, but Ziggler rolled through for a near fall finish. Later on, Ziggler went for the Zig Zag, but Edge grabbed the ropes. Edge put Ziggler into a Sharpshooter-style submission hold and began to elbow Ziggler in the back. Dolph managed to crawl to the bottom rope. The crowd exploded moments later as Edge kicked out of a pinfall after Dolph hit the Zig Zag.

Moments later, Edge knocked Ziggler down near the corner. He was about to go for the Spear but remembered he couldn't. Edge walked over and Ziggler went for a Sleeper with Edge able to block it and slam Ziggler to the mat. Vickie grabbed the ref's leg on the pinfall count. Vickie got onto the apron to distract the ref and Edge. Vickie then slapped Edge in the face. Ziggler tried to attack from behind but Edge moved away so Dolph almost hit Vickie. Edge rolled up Dolph for the near fall but Ziggler kicked out. Edge was once again face-to-face with Vickie. Out of nowhere, Kelly Kelly rushed to ringside, yanked Vickie off the apron and pounced on her in a strange moment.

Ziggler hit the Zig Zag yet again, but Edge kicked out to get the crowd even more pumped. Ziggler staggered to his feet, as Edge got up. Dolph jumped on Edge's back for a sleeper hold. Kelly was still show watching from near the bottom of the ramp area. Edge fought back to his feet with Ziggler on his back, then swirled around, causing the flailing Ziggler to knock the ref out. The crowd started up the Spear chant. Vickie was shown down on the outside floor so she couldn't see what was going on. Edge got that look on his face and crouched down then rushed across the ring and hit The Spear. Edge was down on his back as the ref pulled himself up by the ropes. Edge pretended he barely was coming to and stood up again. Edge did "The Unprettier" to claim the pinfall win. Post-match, Vickie screamed about the decision while Cole complained about Edge's tactics.

Winner: Edge wins via pinfall over Dolph Ziggler to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

A Wrestlemania 27 is 63 Days Away Promo video was shown. Cole said the Rumble is the start of the Road to Wrestlemania 27 in bitter cold Boston, MA. Cole said you can tell the Rumble match is huge because the two major title matches come before it tonight. Cole, Lawler and Striker discussed the history between Miz and Orton including Miz's MITB briefcase cash-in and their recent run-ins on Raw.

Josh Matthews interviewed The Miz backstage with Alex Riley standing nearby. Miz discussed how his entire Championship reign has been smeared with accusations. Miz said there's a reason why he's a champion and people like Lawler, Orton and Tom Brady aren't champions. Riley said tonight Miz will beat Orton tonight and go on to Wrestlemania still WWE Champion. Miz finished with his catch phrase before the camera cut back to the arena as The Viper arrived out from backstage.

Randy Orton vs. The Miz
WWE Championship Match

Randy Orton was the first one to the ring and posed for the fans in the ring. Matt Striker noted that the WWE title has changed hands 3 times in the city of Boston, MA. Next, The Miz arrived out with his WWE Championship and Alex Riley carrying the MITB briefcase. Justin Roberts handled the intros in the ring.

Orton got the upperhand early and tossed Miz out of the ring, then into the crowd barriers near the ramp before clotheslining Miz down. Orton walked towards Riley to scare him off. Back in the ring, The Viper had the first near fall. Moments later, Orton slingshotted Miz into the bottom rope for another near fall.

Orton had control until the ref had his back turned. Alex Riley got on the apron and snapped Orton against the top rope, giving The Miz the advantage in the ring. Cole and Lawler continually bickered over how Miz doesn't play by the rules in his matches. Miz pounded on Orton in the corner for a bit to continue his momentum, then he backed up and hit the running clothesline in the corner for a near fall.

Miz kept his control of the match as Orton tried to get some momentum going. Riley eyed Orton from ringside as Orton hung off the side apron area. Miz slid to the outside then hit a big knee on Orton's face. Back in the ring, Miz had a near fall. Moments later, Orton had a sleeper nearly locked in, but Miz escaped. Later, Orton slammed Miz back, but Orton was holding his throat/neck area. Miz delivered a huge boot to send Orton down. The Viper just barely escaped the pinfall.

Miz was on the corner for a high risk move, but Orton swiped his leg to crotch Miz. Orton got onto the corner area and hit a Superplex. Miz barely kicked out of the pinfall. Miz and Orton started to trade kicks and strike moves, with Orton getting the advantage after several clotheslines. Orton hit his vintage backbreaker, saw Miz on the apron, then went for the DDT. Miz countered it though and flipped Orton to the outside. Miz distracted the ref as Alex Riley stomped Orton outside the ring.

On the outside, Miz rammed Orton from barrier to the apron, then brought Randy in the ring for a near fall. Miz jumped off the rope and hit the double axe handle across Orton's neck for another few near fall attempts. Miz used a modified Camel Clutch on Orton but Randy got to his feet to battle out. Miz tossed Orton out of the ring and hes tumbled over near the commentators' table. Miz was able to overpower Orton on the outside where he slingshotted Orton into the steel ringpost. Miz went back in the ring and let the ref start the countout. Orton got into the ring at 8 and pounced on Miz to unload on him.

Orton gained serious momentum, hitting the Powerslam and then stomping on Miz limb by limb. Orton set up for a Powerbomb in the ring, with Riley jumping onto the apron to distract. Miz took advantage and slammed Orton down for another near fall. Orton went for the RKO with Miz countering into the Skullcrushing Finale. Orton countered that to take Miz down for another near fall. Miz rolled to the outside, asked for his belt and started to walk away. Orton cut him off as he got out of the ring and clotheslined Miz down. Orton stalked Riley chasing him to the other side of the ring. Back in the ring, Miz had yet another near fall opportunity.

Moments later, Orton hit the DDT on Miz from the middle rope. Orton dropped to the mat, pounding it in preparation of the RKO. Suddenly, the new Nexus members (Otunga, Harris, Ryan and McGillicutty) arrived from backstage to the bottom of the ramp. Orton stood up to confront them. Riley got into the ring as the ref was on the outside. Orton fought Riley off and tossed him out onto the New Nexus. Back in the ring, Miz went at Orton, but Orton countered and hit the RKO with the ref still outside. Suddenly, CM Punk rushed into the ring, grabbed Orton, and hit the GTS on him. Punk pulled Miz onto Orton for the cover, then escaped out of the ring. The ref got back in to count the winning pinfall as Punk hid under the ring.

Post-match, Miz was dazed. Punk crawled out from under the ring and led Nexus up the ramp.

Winner: The Miz wins via pinfall over Randy Orton to retain the WWE Championship.

An Elimination Chamber PPV 2011 promo video was shown for Sunday, February 20 at 8PM EST.

The commentators talked about Dashing Cody Rhodes' injury suffered from Rey Mysterio and his possibility of not being in the Rumble. Todd Grisham was backstage and said Rhodes issued an official public statement saying this was going to be his time to win the Rumble and main event Wrestlemania. He said he's got a shattered face and his career is in jeapordy. Rhodes asked everyone to respect his wishes for privacy.

Natalya vs. Team LayCool
2-on-1 Handicap Match

Team LayCool was out to the ring first, followed by the champion Natalya. Before the match could even start, the lights flashed and an email came from the Raw GM. The email talked about how Teddy Long is incapacitated so the match has been changed. It will no longer be a handicap match, but now will become a Fatal Fourway match. Eve Torres was announced as the fourth competitor and arrived to the ring.

LayCool knocked Natalya to the corner and then focused on Eve next. Layla hit a huge clothesline to take her down, then Michelle helped with a double Russian leg sweep on Eve. Michelle kicked Eve out of the ring, but Natalya was back up to gain control against LayCool. Natalya hit the slingshot to send Layla into Michelle. However, LayCool was able to break up a pinfall and knocked Natalya down on the outside. Layla and Michelle were left alone in the ring together and turned around to face each other. They looked puzzled as they circled a bit before Natalya yanked Layla's leg to pull her down. Eve got in the ring for a nearfall on Michelle, with Layla rushing in for the save.

Eve and Natalya battled in the ring. Natalya went for the Sharpshooter on Eve but Layla broke it up. Moments later, Natalya was able to lock a double sharposhooter on both Eve and Layla. Michelle rushed in and delivered a kick on Natalya to break it. Natalya managed to take control with LayCool in the ring and Eve on the outside. Natalya grabbed Layla with Michelle rushing at her for the big boot. Natalya tossed Layla in the way.

Eve was back in the ring and managed to toss Natalya to the outside. Eve hit Layla down and got on the corner for her reverse moonsault. Natalya slid into the ring, and Michelle entered right behind her. Eve grabbed the pinfall as Michelle also scored one on Natalya. The referee saw Eve's pin though and awarded her the win.

Winner: Eve wins via pinfall over Layla to become the new Divas Champion.

Josh Matthews was backstage with Daniel Bryan and Gail Kim. Josh asked Daniel about what it would be like to win the Rumble match tonight. Bryan said for all those people who keep calling him a nerd, it would be cool to go from NXT rookie to Royal Rumble winner. Just then, the Bella Twins arrived in and Matthews left. The Bellas had flowers and said they were shocked last week so they came to apologize. The Bellas offered congratulations and handed them flowers, then said they're a good couple because they're in the same league. Gail took exception and got into it with them. One of the Bellas slapped Bryan, but then a catfight broke out with Josh Matthews trying to help break it up. Matthews got slapped as a referee came in to help maintain order. Daniel Bryan rolled on the floor as well.

Cole and the commentators talked about the next PPV, the Elimination Chamber. They mentioned the theme song "Living in a Dream" by Finger Eleven. They showed the Royal Rumble by the numbers video as a prelude to the main event. 70% of the Rumble winners have gone on to win championship gold after their victory at the Rumble.

40-Man Royal Rumble Match

The winner of this match will get to choose which title they will compete for at Wrestlemania 27, either the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship. Justin Roberts introduced the biggest Rumble match ever and went over the rules of how to win.

CM Punk was the #1 entrant, but at #2 there was confusion when Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson arrived to the ring. Heath Slater and Gabriel also came to the ring, with all members of The Corre getting involved to beat on Punk. The rest of New Nexus rushed the ring and a huge brawl started before the match even began. The lights flashed and the email sound chimed with Cole yelling for everyone's attention. Cole said the GM says stop this now. The GM said only CM Punk can be in the ring right now. The rest of The Corre and Nexus members must head to the locker room now or be disqualified from the Rumble.

After order was finally restored, Daniel Bryan was introduced as the #2 competitor. After they fought for a while, the countdown brought The Corre's Justin Gabriel out. Gabriel went for a 450 Spalsh but missed on Punk, allowing Bryan to toss Gabriel out of the ring first. Ryder was #4 and immediately attacked Bryan, but moments later he was sent to the outside by Daniel Bryan. Later still, Dibiase arrived out sixth along with girlfriend Maryse.

Morrison arrived to the ring 7th and was on fire with dropkicks and fastpaced moves including a chuck kick off the ropes to take down Punk. He did the C4 to slam Bryan to the mat, but Dibiase came over to kick Morrison. In an amazing sequence Morrison got knocked off the apron by Regal, but Morrison grabbed onto the crowd barrier and kept his feet off the floor. Morrison did a tightrope walk on the barrier and managed to leap over to the steel steps. Morrison got back in the ring as Regal was eliminated by Ted Dibiase.

Striker noted that competitor Husky Harris at 23-years-old, is youngest in the Rumble this year. Harris served as a protective barrier for Punk in the corner. Chavo went for the three amigos multiple times with different wrestlers cutting in before the third attempt. After he failed on Dibiase and Punk, Chavo hit it on Bryan before Husky Harris knocked him down.

CM Punk and Daniel Bryan last. Chris Masters nearly had Punk out of the ring. After Otunga's arrival, the New Nexus started to take control with several straight eliminations: Bryan, Morrison and then Mark Henry. Tyler Reks came in next, got a beatdown by Nexus and was tossed out of the ring. Same fate happened to Vladimir Kozlov. R-Truth rushed in next to get beatdown. After a running knee and bulldog from Punk, Truth was tossed to the outside.

However, the Great Khali was the next competitor. Khali punched and kicked down all the Nexus guys before tossing Harris out of the ring. Mason Ryan managed to duck Khali near the ropes and then scooped Khali by the leg out over the top rope. Ryan went over to help up CM Punk to his feet.

At #21 Booker T arrived to the ring and managed to overcome his Nexus attackers. He did the Bookend followed by the Spinarooni. Booker nearly tossed Punk out, but Mason Ryan came over, grabbed Booker and threw him out of the ring. Cena rushed to the ring and started to attack the Nexus with a fury, hitting multiple moves and eliminating Mason Ryan first before clotheslining out Otunga and McGillicutty. That left Cena alone in the ring with CM Punk.

Cena and Punk went at it, eventually hitting a double clothesline to both go down at the center of the ring. Entry #23 arrived out, Hornswoggle. He posed for the crowd and saw Cena and Punk down. Punk was up first and kicked Horney to the mat, then went after Cena again. Punk tried to dump Cena out over the top rope, but Cena escaped it then hit the AA to toss Punk out. Cena helped Hornswoggle to his feet and they waited for the next competitor. It was Tyson Kidd, who they doubleteamed. With Horney hitting his own mini AA on Kidd. Cena tossed Kidd out.

Later still, Cena and Horney did a double Five Knuckle Shuffle on Heath Slater before Horney hit the Tadpole Splash off the corner. Cena waited for Slater to stand up then tossed him out. Kofi Kingston was next out to the ring.

Cole noted that the most winners have come at #27,

which was Jack Swagger's entry tonight. Swagger

took control against Cena and Kofi Kingston as

Horney watched. Later on, Kofi did a double leg

drop on Swagger after using Horney's back as a

ramp/step. Sheamus rushed in next and started to

beat on all the competitors, hitting an Irish Curse

backbreaker on Cena. Horney tried to mock Sheamus'

taunt, then got shoved down hard by the King of the

Ring. Horney got up in the corner and started up

the band, then hit Sweet Shin Music on him.

Sheamus sat Horney on the corner and moments later

hit the Brogh kick to eliminate Hornswoggle from

the match.

Dolph Ziggler was part of the match despite losing the World Heavyweight match earlier. He and Barrett tried to eliminate Cena but Mysterio made a save. Out at #32 was Diesel to the crowd's excitement. Nash took his time to get to the ring as he put on his gloves. He began to knock down multiple opponents in the ring. A huge "let's go Diesel" chant broke out in honor of Nash as he was being doubleteamed. Diesel was eventually eliminated by Barrett.

Alex Riley arrived out to The Miz's theme music. The Miz joined the commentators wearing a suit and carrying his WWE Championship belt. As Big Show came in at #35, he passed by Diesel who was heading up the ramp. They gave each other a bit of a stare before passing by. Big Show made 2 eliminations but was eliminated by Ezekiel Jackson, the Profit of Doom. Barrett joined Jackson center ring and held his arm up to celebrate.

Santino Marella arrived at #37 and surpassed his record of :01 second in the match, but was clobbered down by Sheamus' boot. #38 entrant was Alberto Del Rio who came driving out in a 2008 Bentley to the ramp side area.

Alberto Del Rio took so long to walk down the ramp, that the next competitor, Randy Orton arrived and took him down. In the ring, Orton hit multiple RKO's on guys in the ring, before tossing Kofi out. After tossing out Sheamus, Orton and Cena prepared to face off. At the final spot, came Kane for his record thirteenth Royal Rumble entry. No sign of Triple H in the match tonight.

The match was down to Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett and Kane. Mysterio managed to counter a Kane move and flipped Kane out of the ring by headscissors. Wade Barrett knocked Rey Mysterio out next to leave a Final Four: Cena, Barrett, Orton and Del Rio. Two from Raw, Two from Smackdown!

Cena and Orton eventually went at it with Del Rio and Barrett down in corners. Cena went for AA but Barrett was back up to break things up. Orton was able to fight off Barrett and Del Rio. Barrett tossed Orton out and then Del Rio rushed over to push Barrett out over the ropes.

Ricardo Rodriguez started up the announcement, but wait- Santino Marella was never eliminated officially. Santino staggered to his feet as Ricardo kept pointing to Del Rio to look behind him. Santino wound up the Cobra. Del Rio turned and was punched down. However, in the finish Santino tried to run and toss Del Rio out of the ring. Del Rio countered at the last moment to throw Mysterio out of the ring, getting the big win!

Winner: Alberto Del Rio wins the 2011 Royal Rumble after eliminating Santino Marella last.

WWE Superstars Results 12/23/10

WWE Superstars Results 12/23/10:

Scott Stanford and Jerry "the King" Lawler were on hand for the opening match consisting of Raw superstars. Zack Ryder arrived to the ring for the first contest of the night as Lawler/Stanford traded holiday seasons greetings.

David Hart Smith vs. Zack Ryder

Early on Ryder retreated to the outside to recover from Smith's aggressive attack. Moments later, Smith tossed Ryder into the ring and went for a Sharpshooter. Ryder struggled to get to the ropes and eventually was able to grab the bottom rope. Ryder slipped onto the apron then rammed into Smith's gut. Stanford mentioned a tweet Ryder made "the man with the tan gets all the girls."

Smith regained control and went for the standing suplex. He kept Ryder up in a vertical suplex for several moments then used a free hand to urge the crowd to cheer on. Smith had a near fall following the suplex, and Ryder went back out of the ring. Smith went out, tapped Ryder on the back, then hit a huge uppercut. However, back in the ring Zack managed to turn things around with an elbow to the face on Smith's charge, followed by a big dropkick from the corner turnbuckle.

Superstars returned from a commercial break with DH Smith in control, but he missed on a charging move at the corner, allowing Ryder to regain control. Ryder went up on the corner with Smith but got headbutted down. Smith shook off the attack and jumped for a diving punch, but Ryder put up his boot. Smith stopped himself from hitting, grabbing Ryder's foot. Ryder managed to roll away as Smith went for the elbow drop and then tried a suplex, with Smith blocking and hitting his own suplex.

In the closing moments, Ryder went for the Rough Ryder, but Smith ducked it, then hit a Saito suplex to get the pinfall victory.

Winner: David Hart Smith wins via pinfall over Zack Ryder.

They showed highlights from Tuesday's NXT which was on WWE.com. Derrick Bateman won a wheelbarrow race contest and a trivia challenge to earn 2 immunity points.

Yoshi Tatsu & Darren Young vs. The Usos

Young and Yoshi had an early advantage, but soon the Usos turned things around on Yoshi. They kept Yoshi isolated from young as they worked him over in their corner, distracting the ref, and making frequent tags. At one point, one of the Uso's tried to bring Yoshi by the leg over for a tag to his brother. However, Yoshi hit a spin kick to take the Uso down, then eventually made the hot tag to Young.

Young came into the ring on fire, knocking one Uso off the apron and gaining the advantage on the other. However, the fallen Uso managed to get back to the apron to wisely make a blind tag to his brother's back. The Usos finished young with an impressive new finishing maneuver that saw one Uso whip Young to the ropes, then toss him up in the air for the other to hit the Samoan drop and get the pinfall.

Winners: The Usos win via pinfall over Yoshi Tatsu and Darren Young.

Smackdown team Jack Korbela and Matt Striker were now on hand for commentary. Striker thanked My Chemical Romance for "Na Na Na" the theme song to TLC PPV. They showed Raw Rebound which told the story of John Cena and his in-ring speech about how happy he was to be free of Nexus for a night. Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler arrived out, with Vickie trying to talk but the crowd draining out her voice with boos. Eventually Lawler and Cena started to trade fat jokes about Vickie, leading to Cena vs Ziggler. Cena won that match, but that led to a rematch on Smackdown. Cena won again, after kissing Vickie to distract her. Post-match, Cena put Vickie up for the Attitude Adjustment, but CM Punk arrived to the ring with a chair. He bashed Cena in the gut then smashed the chair on his back leaving Cena on the mat to close out Smackdown this past Tuesday.

Team Lay-Cool arrived out to the ring carrying their Slammy Award trophies. The main event divas tag match is next.

Kelly Kelly & Beth Phoenix vs. Team Lay-Cool

Korbela said that Layla and Michelle have gone to the chiropractor several times during the week. Early on The Glamazon slammed down Michelle to the mat, and Michelle was clearly in pain. She tagged in Layla who endured more punishment at Beth's hands. Layla got slammed down hard and screamed, then tried to get a tag but Michelle shook her head no. Beth and Kelly continued to work over Layla.

Prior to a commercial break, Layla and Michelle ended up on the outside. Beth went over to the ropes and stared them down prompting both divas to scream. Kelly rushed over and hit the baseball slide dropkick under Beth's legs to take down both of Lay-Cool.

After the commercial break, Layla managed to get over to tag Michelle. Kelly did her screaming legscissors helicopter spin on Michelle. Moments later, Michelle got in an impressive slam move on Kelly. Michelle threw Kelly to the mat, then put a hand on Kelly's face so she could taunt Beth with pushups on the mat. Layla tagged back in and started choking Kelly with a foot to the throat in the corner. LayCool taunted Beth at one point as Kelly got a schoolboy pin. The ref missed the pinfall and Layla regained control, putting a legscissors submission around Kelly's midsection.

Michelle tagged back in to keep Kelly away from the tag to Beth. LayCool continued the tag in and out to prevent Kelly from tagging Glamazon. Kelly escaped a charge from Layla in the corner and tried to get over for the tag, but Layla grabbed her hair and slammed her back. Moments later, Layla missed on a legdrop, allowing Kelly to get the tag to Beth. Beth came in with serious momentum, stepping on Layla and knocking Michelle off the apron.

Beth prepared for the Glam Slam on Layla. Michelle rushed in to try to Superkick Beth but got Layla instead. Phoenix took down Michelle then hit the Glam Slam on Layla for the win.

Winner: Beth Phoenix & Kelly Kelly win via pinfall over Team LayCool.

Matt Striker wished Jack Korbela and everyone else a happy holiday, reminding everyone to watch Smackdown on Friday night on SyFy (a repeat of Tuesday's episode from USA).

Raw Preview 12/12/10 - 2010 Slammy Awards

Tonight's Raw will feature the return of the Slammy Awards for 2010. The Slammy's are WWE's annual awards to honor the best wrestlers, divas, announcers and moments from the year past. In 2010, the top award will be 2010 Superstar of the Year. On last year's Raw, it was Chris Jericho who ended up winning the coveted Slammy Trophy. However, Jericho's out of the running this year. WWE currently lists a poll of nominees with Orton, Edge, John Cena, Kane, Rey Mysterio and The Miz all up for it. Which of these superstars will take home the trophy for 2010?

Last week's Raw saw the volatile situation involving recently-fired John Cena and Nexus leader Wade Barrett hit a boiling point. Barrett found his fellow Nexus members at odds with him, after Cena made attack after attack on them. Eventually, David Otunga demanded that Barrett re-hire Cena next week (tonight) or else they'd kick Barrett out as their leader. Wade was shocked by the ultimatum, but seems to have no other choice. Will the WWE Universe see the re-hiring of John Cena on tonight's 3-hour show?

Not only is tonight the Slammy Awards show for Raw, but it will be the final episode of Raw before the 2010 TLC Pay-Per-View. Already scheduled for the event will be the WWE Title rematch when Randy Orton faces The Miz in a Tables Match. Last week, The Miz informed Orton of what the stipulation for their match would be, and even tried to smash him face first through a table. Orton turned the tables on Miz so to speak and attempted to slam him through it. Miz was quick to escape the ring, but soon saw his protege Alex Riley suffer the fate of being Powerbombed through the table. What will go down next between The Miz and Orton on Raw?

Catch tonight's special 3-hour episode of Raw starting at 8PM EST on USA!

Raw Preview 11/8/10

With Survivor Series 2010 PPV approaching rapidly, the superstars of WWE Raw will be looking to gain momentum. In particular, the WWE Champion Randy Orton will try to stay composed and controlled heading into the major title defense he has coming up. Orton has Nexus leader Wade Barrett in a rematch for the WWE Title. At Bragging Rights, Orton had the help of John Cena who interfered in the match, causing a disqualification to keep Orton champion. Now Orton will face Barrett with Cena as the special referee. Will the odds be too tough for Orton to overcome? How will Orton prepare himself on Raw tonight?

Also, with John Cena caught in a tough spot, he's got a lot of thinking to do regarding that match. Cena's been informed by Wade Barrett that if Barrett wins the WWE Title, Cena's released from his Nexus duties for good. However, Barrett also informed Cena if he should lose the title match, Cena will be fired on the spot. Randy Orton already confronted Cena about the fact he just might be seen as the biggest fraud in the WWE should he not decide the match fairly. In last week's tag team title match, Cena officiated and due to Orton getting away with an RKO, the match went against Barrett. Will the Nexus leader have more orders for Cena on tonight's Raw?

Natalya has been trying for months now to win her first title, the WWE Divas Championship. However, Team LayCool has managed to cheat their way into successful title defenses many times. Natalya won a huge match just last week to qualify for another shot at the title at Survivor Series. Still, it's unknown whether Layla or Michelle will be defending that title. How will Natalya prepare mentally for this title opportunity, which could be her last? Will LayCool appear on Raw again?

Check out Monday Night Raw tonight at 9PM EST on USA!

Survivor Series 2010 PPV Matches

With the arrival of Thanksgiving, it also means that the WWE's fall classic Pay-Per-View is here as well, Survivor Series! The 2010 edition of the PPV event will feature a variety of exciting matchups with titles on the line. As of this report, there's been just a few matches announced, but more are likely to be added as the PPV draws closer.

The 2010 Survivor Series PPV matches will be held at Miami, Florida's American Airlines Arena on Sunday November 21, 2010. Last year's main event saw John Cena defending the WWE Championship against DX's Shawn Michaels and Triple H. This year's main event will also feature Cena, however not as the champion. Instead he'll be special guest referee for the WWE Title match involving champion Randy Orton and challenger Wade Barrett.

Here's a look at the Survivor Series 2010 PPV Matches:

Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton
WWE Championship

The Nexus leader Wade Barrett has been gunning for Orton's WWE Title for several Pay-Per-Views now. At the last PPV, he had Cena as his ringside assistant, whom he ordered to make sure he won the match. Cena did as ordered, by getting involved in the match to DQ Orton. With that move, Orton retained the title while Barrett won the match, and Cena wasn't fired.

However, now Cena will act as special guest referee at Survivor Series. Barrett has informed Cena that if he wins the WWE Title, Cena will be relieved of his Nexus obligations. However, should Barrett not win the title, Cena will be fired from the WWE on the spot. It puts a lot of weight on Cena's shoulders and seems to stack the odds against Randy Orton heavily. Will The Viper be able to hold onto the WWE Title, or will Cena's involvement finally help Barrett capture the gold?

Edge vs. Kane
World Championship

The Devil's Favorite Demon has continued to surge with power ever since burying his brother The Undertaker at Bragging Rights. With the burial and seeming demise of Taker, Smackdown needed a new #1 Contender to face Kane for the title. GM Teddy Long scheduled a Triple Threat contest between the three top competitiors: Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio and Edge.

In the matchup, all three competitors seemed to have a close shot at winning the match. However, in the end it was Edge's spear on Alberto Del Rio (while carrying Mysterio) that proved victorious. Now as #1 Contender, Edge will have a tough task in trying to defeat the Big Red Monster. Kane will have Paul Bearer and the infamous urn at ringside. Can Edge, the Ultimate Opportunist, find a way to win?

Natalya vs. Michelle McCool or Layla
WWE Divas Championship

It's yet to be determined once again who exactly will defend the WWE Divas Championship. Michelle McCool and Layla have been co-champions for some time now. First it was Layla capturing a pinfall in a Triple Threat match with Michelle and then champion Beth Phoenix. Months later, Michelle fought Melina in a title unification match and won. As the Womens title was forever eliminated from contention, the divas championship has remained. Natalya has had two prior opportunities to win the prized possession but both time saw Layla or Michelle interfering to prevent Natalya's victory. Can Natalya weather the storm in Miami to finally win the Divas title, or will LayCool continue to reign?

The huge event goes down Sunday November 21st, 2010 starting at 8PM EST. Updated results will be provided here at WWE Characters the Blog, so make sure to check in and keep up with the winners as the PPV progresses!

Raw Results 11/01/10

RAW Results from Long Island, NY:

WWE Champion Randy Orton arrived out with his championship belt in hand. Lawler and Cole talked about how Orton defends the title against Wade Barrett with John Cena as special guest referee at Survivor Series 2010. Orton said there's not a man alive who could take the WWE Title from him. He said he'd accept it if there was, but what he can't accept it if there was a crooked referee, especially if it's John Cena.

Orton called John Cena out to the ring to confront him about Survivor Series and his referee job. Cena came to the ring moments later to talk to Orton. Cena told Orton that they've both been champion before and the title comes and goes. Cena talked about what could happen if Orton wins or loses. Cena said he isn't sure what he's going to do at Survivor Series. Orton told Cena if he screws him over at Survivor Series, he'll be the biggest phony in the WWE, and all that Hustle, Loyalty, Respect will be out the window.

Orton told Cena to get out of his ring, but Cena started to fire back, saying Nexus has everyone under their control right now. He said Barrett has the ability to compete but he can't win a title match straight up. That remark brought Barrett and his Nexus crew out from backstage, including Husky Harris and McGillicutty. Barrett said when push comes to shove at Survivor Series, Cena will raise his hand as new WWE Champion. Cena said in 3 weeks this is all over. Barrett reminded him that he might be fired. Cena told Barrett when it's all over, either way he's going to beat the hell out of Barrett.

Orton told Barrett he doesn't have to wait until Survivor Series to beat up Barrett, and called Wade to the ring one-on-one. Barrett started towards the ring, but the Raw GM sent an email to interrupt. The GM's email said tonight there will be a main event involving Wade Barrett and a partner of his choice against Orton and a partner of his choosing. John Cena will be the special guest referee for the match.

The Hart Dynasty vs. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel

As things broke down in this match, DH Smith was beating up Heath Slater on the outside. Kidd knocked Gabriel out of the ring, and went for a flip over the top rope. Unfortunately though, Slater slid off Smith and shoved him into Gabriel, causing Kidd to land on Smith. Kidd tried to recover and got on the apron. He dropkicked Slater through the ropes, but Gabriel was able to deliver a kick to the back of Kidd's head. With Kidd down in the ring, Gabriel hit the 450 Splash to win it.

Winners: Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel win via pinfall over The Hart Dynasty.

Cena was backstage when R-Truth came into the locker room to talk to him. Truth told Cena he respected him for standing up to Barrett and tell him what he's gonna do after Survivor Series is over. Truth asked Cena what he's going to do for the match though.

Vladimir Kozlov vs. Sheamus

Sheamus was introduced first and said last week's big upset victory by Santino was Sheamus beating himself, not Santino beating him. Sheamus called Santino out to compete again. Santino arrived out from backstage, saying due to Trick-or-Treating last night and all the candy he ate, he can't compete or he'll throw up in Sheamus' face. So instead, he called out a replacement: Vlad Kozlov. Kozlov got on the mic telling Sheamus "you talk funny, now I crush you."

Late in the match, Kozlov did his headbutt to the chest multiple times on Sheamus, then shoved him against the ropes. As Sheamus came back, Kozlov booted him down then went for a pinfall. Sheamus got a leg on the ropes to break it. Santino was yelling out instructions to Kozlov, but Sheamus hit him with a double axe handle then came back with the Brogh Kick to win it.

Winner: Sheamus wins via pinfall over Vladimir Kozlov.

Post-match, Sheamus chased Santino up the ramp as he was backing up. Santino tried to bribe him with candy, cash, credit card and even a check. Sheamus knocked them all away and kicked Santino down on the top of the stage. As Sheamus set up Santino in the Celtic Cross, John Morrison rushed out from backstage. He kicked Sheamus in the chest to get him to drop Santino, then kicked Sheamus in the head causing him to fall off the stage. Santino did his trumpet celebration up on the stage as Morrison looked at him.

Backstage, Orton was walking down the hall when R-Truth approached him. He told Orton that Cena seems to have his mind made up. Truth said Cena is going to look Orton in the eyes and count Barrett champion 1,2,3. Orton suggested that Truth be his partner tonight so they can see how Cena treats his friends. Orton said they'll probably find that Cena has no friends.

Mark Henry was talking on a cell phone backstage saying things haven't been the same since his tag partner Evan Bourne got hurt. He said he's not just his tag partner but his best friend. Pee Wee Herman was there on another cell phone next to him telling him a story. Henry asked Pee Wee for a big hug. Henry started bear hugging Pee Wee and squeezing the life out of him. Pee Wee then suggested a game of Diva Twister to cheer Henry up. Eve, The Bella Twins and Melina were all there to play. Pee Wee cut a promo about his current live show, and then former WWE Diva Lita came in as part of the segment. The divas asked Pee Wee and Lita to come give them a hand, so Lita bumped one of the divas with her hip knocking everyone over. Pee Wee and Lita left the scene with all the divas and Mark Henry laughing on the floor.

Ezekiel Jackson vs. Zack Ryder

Big Zeke manhandled Zack after some early offense from Ryder. After pressing Zack overhead and slamming him to the mat, Ryder kicked Zeke in the leg. However, Ezekiel was unphased and hit his one armed slam to win the match quickly and easily.

Winner: Ezekiel Jackson wins via pinfall over Zack Ryder.

Justin Roberts introduced the star of his own Broadway Show, Pee Wee Herman. Pee Wee gave his secret word of the night "Ring" and told people to all scream whenever they hear it the rest of the night. As Pee Wee kept talking, The Miz's theme music came on and The Miz arrived to the ring with Alex Riley.

Miz told Pee Wee he was always a Masters of the Universe type guy. Pee Wee told Miz why don't you marry him then. Miz kept saying the word Ring so Pee Wee and everyone was screaming. Miz kept threatening Pee Wee, so he told Miz he was starting to anger him. Pee Wee said his cousin is there with him. Miz said to bring him out then. The Big Show's music started up, but then changed into Pee Wee's theme music. Show came out dressed like Pee Wee Herman. Riley tried to charge at Show but he grabbed him around the neck. Miz came to try to help, so Show grabbed him around the throat too and shoved both guys out over the top rope.

The Raw GM sent another email which Cole read. It said The Miz wasn't getting out of this so easy, and he'll be facing Pee Wee's cousin in the ring, The Big Pee Wee. Pee Wee and Big Show started dancing in the ring to Tequila.

Big Show vs. The Miz

Miz built some momentum towards the end of the match, but show regained control. With Miz in one corner, Show went to the opposite corner and prepared for a running hip slpash. Miz avoided him by moving away. Riley got up on the side apron with the MITB briefcase, and Show knocked him off. The briefcase landed in the ring, so Miz picked it up and hit Show in the gut with it. The ref quickly called for the bell, giving Big Show the victory by DQ.

Winner: The Big Show wins due to disqualification of The Miz.

They showed another Stand Up for WWE video package. This one included Raw guest host celebrities talking about how great WWE is. Celebs included Dennis Miller, Florence Henderson, Bob Barker, Jeremy Piven, Jon Lovitz, Ced the Entertainer, Johnny Knoxville and Jewel. Lawler said now's the chance to show everyone who's been against WWE just how great an organization it is. For more info on how to help visit WWE.com.

John Cena was in the locker room backstage with Wade Barrett giving him a talk about tonight's match. Barrett said after tonight's victory, Cena can clean up his locker room, then scrub his back. Barrett walked off laughing. David Otunga walked in and told Cena he'll be raising his hand tonight because he's got more talent than anyone in Nexus, including Cena. Cena shook his head as Otunga walked off.

Daniel Bryan vs. Ted Dibiase

Dibiase arrived to the ring along with Maryse. Bryan gained momentum late in the match with kicks to Dibiase. However as Bryan charged from the ropes, Dibiase caught him for a Spinebuster and a near fall. As Bryan tried to get up near the ropes, Dibiase went for Dream Street. Daniel Bryan was able to slip out and counter, putting Dibiase into the Labelle Lock. Dibiase soon tapped out. Maryse was upset on the outside of the ring. Maryse got into the ring and said "this is not happening." Dibiase yelled at her to shutup and said he can't concentrate without his title, meaning the Million Dollar belt.

Winner: Daniel Bryan wins via submission over Ted Dibiase.

Michelle McCool and Layla of Team Laycool came out from backstage talking about how they feel the superstars and divas don't love them so much anymore. They said they don't care about them though, they care about the WWE Universe. Michelle McCool and Layla got into the ring. They said they'd give Natalya another shot at the divas title at Survivor Series, but only if she can beat Michelle tonight. Natalya arrived out ready for the match.

Natalya vs. Michelle McCool

Michelle gained momentum after Natalya had an impressive start. With Natalya down on the mat, Michelle wrapped a legscissors around Natalya's gut. The ref finally had to break the hold when he saw Michelle holding the ropes for leverage. At one point, Natalya almost locked the Sharpshooter on Michelle, but she managed to crawl out of the ring. Choas ensued on the outside, as Natalya was able to grab Layla and catapult her into Michelle. As Michelle got back into the ring, Natalya scored a quick rollup on Michelle for the win.

Winner: Natalya wins via pinfall over Michelle McCool to earn a Divas Title shot at Survivor Series.

They showed an odd segment with Freddie Prinze Jr. as a doctor in a hospital room saying "How's my favorite patient doing today? Still in that coma." He added "poor guy's gonna miss the election," and then the camera revealed that the patient was Vince McMahon laying unconscious on the bed.

Raw returned with the Vince McMahon segment. The doctor said even though he doesn't get a lot of visitors, at least his wife visits. Freddie Prinze, Jr. said Linda is very composed considering she spent $50 million on the campaign. All of a sudden, Vince woke up and angrily asked "$50 million on what?!" Vince said he hates politics, but as long as everything is ok in the WWE he's fine. Freddie Prinze filled Vince in that Undertaker's been buried, John Cena's in Nexus and Goldust is getting married.

Vince said next he'll tell him that Daniel Bryan's the US Champion. Freddie gave Vince a look to confirm it. Vince then said he needed to go to the bathroom. As he got up, he said if his wife can run for US Senate, maybe he can run for President of the United States. As Vince left, his open bathrobe revealed a Richard Blumenthal banner covering his backside.

The scene cut to Stephanie McMahon sitting up in bed after turning on a light. She said "I just had the strangest dream," then asked someone who wasn't shown (HHH) if her dad's still in a coma. HHH said "yea pretty sure he's brain dead." Stephanie shut off the light.

John Cena arrived out wearing a referee shirt for the main event tag match.

Randy Orton & R-Truth vs. David Otunga and Wade Barrett

Orton stared down Cena several times over questionable calls. As he did though, Barrett was able to use the distraction to attack Orton from behind.

Barrett took control against Truth later in the match, beating down on him, then tagged in Otunga for more punishment. Otunga had a near fall with Truth kicking out. Moments later the two guys collided in the air with flying bodypress moves. Both men tried to crawl over to make tags. Orton got into the ring so Cena went over to get him out of there. As they were discussing it, Otunga made a tag to Barrett. Cena didn't see it, so he turned and told Barrett to get out of the ring. Meanwhile, Orton hit the RKO on Otunga behind Cena's back. Orton rushed over to beat up Barrett, causing him to roll to the outside. R-Truth collected a winning pin on David Otunga.

Outside the ring, Barrett yelled at Cena near the bottom of the ramp. Cena said he didn't see any tag made. Orton smirked near the crowd, then got back into the ring to stare at Barrett and John Cena on the ramp as Raw ended.

Winners: Randy Orton and R-Truth win via pinfall over David Otunga & Wade Barrett.

After Undertaker's Funeral, Kane gets #1 Contender

On Friday's edition of Smackdown, the Undertaker's funeral was to be held by the Big Red Monster Kane. However, as WWE fans know, most funerals and weddings don't go on uninterrupted. On this occasion, it was a surprise interruption; Alberto Del Rio arrived out in a fancy convertible, then demanded that he should be World Champion right now. From there, things broke down and after a brawl involving Del Rio, Kane, Rey Mysterio and Edge, Smackdown was chaotic.

The solution for all the chaos? General Manager Theodore Long set up a Triple Threat #1 Contenders Match between Edge, Mysterio and Del Rio. The winner would get Kane in a World Title match at Survivor Series 2010. The three stars didn't disappoint, but it was very hard to believe that Del Rio would win this one going in. Having a heel face Kane at Survivor Series just made no sense. The ultimate winner of the match ended up being Edge, the ultimate opportunist. His spear on Del Rio as Alberto had Rey on his shoulders was something we haven't really seen before, making for a great finish.

Of course the bad news is Edge now must face Kane, and it appears Edge is just a stalling tactic while Undertaker "rests in peace." Likely Undertaker is going to rise again, but the question is how much time will he have off? Is WWE going to really hold this story until next Wrestlemania? Or will Taker show us a sign at Survivor Series?

Also on Smackdown, another interesting situation developed. A second tag team this past week imploded after The Hart Dynasty. Cody Rhodes had just dubbed he and Drew McIntyre the "Dashing Ones," right after they told The Nexus tag champs to be prepared. In the Drew/Rhodes match, Big Show got the best of Rhodes in the end. Cody tried to wave Drew in to help him out, but Drew stayed out of harm's way on the apron. Later the two blew up at each other backstage as their individual egos proved too much to co-exist. Which guy will get the title push now though, as two heels hold the World title and Intercontinental title? Or maybe Drew and Cody will collide down the line?

We got the obligatory Halloween Costume contest from the divas which turned into a tag team brawl. Melina chose the unique "Spiderwoman" costume, while Kelly was Lil' Bo Peep, Rosa Mendes was a sexy leprechaun, The Bellas were Batman and Robin and Alicia Fox was Cleopatra. LayCool came out as Beyonce and Lady Gaga. All of the divas looked great, but it didn't make sense that Natalya wasn't part of the picture after being involved in several Divas Championship matches. Maybe she couldn't find a Halloween costume in time for the show?

Overall a decent outing for Smackdown on SyFy. People are saying that Smackdown is the best wrestling show on television right now. Agree or disagree?

Smackdown Results 10/01/10 - SyFy Debut

Smackdown Results from Oklahoma City, OK:

Friday Night Smackdown made its official debut on SyFy network tonight. Michael Cole was on camera to introduce Smackdown, just before IC Champ Dolph Ziggler came to the ring with Vickie Guerrero. MVP arrived out next for the Intercontinental Championship match to kickoff the first Smackdown on SyFy. Grisham sent it to the intro video for Smackdown which featured new theme music "Know Your Enemy" by Green Day.

MVP vs. Dolph Ziggler

With the match well underway, MVP took it to Ziggler and had a near fall. Moments later he was able to toss Ziggler over him to the outside of the ring. Down at the bottom of the ramp, The Nexus stormed down the ramp to attack Ziggler. Next they all surrounded the ring with MVP still inside. MVP yelled "who's first" preparing for battle. The Nexus was too much for him as Otunga, Tarver, Slater and Gabriel all gave him a beatdown. Wade Barrett wasn't present.

Winner: No contest due to Nexus interfering in the match.

Otunga hit his finisher on MVP, then Gabriel went next, climbing up the corner and hitting the 450 Splash. They four Nexus guys looked down at MVP on the mat, but just then Big Show decided to come out.

Show walked down the ramp staring at Nexus, then got on the apron. He was able to shove them away as they attacked. Unfortunately, Slater jumped on Show's back and they were able to drive him down to the mat for a beating. Nexus continued to pound away on Show, kicking him out under the bottom rope. Just then, John Cena's theme music hit. Cena rushed out and down the ramp. He got in the ring and atackled down one Nexus member, but soon the rest pounced on him. Before they knew it though, Big Show got back in the ring with a steel chair and bashed it on Slater's back. The Nexus soon escaped the ring, backing up the ramp.

Just then, Wade Barrett appeared on the big screen to address the fans and Cena. He reminded everyone if he wins at Hell in a Cell on Sunday, then John Cena must join Nexus. Barrett turned to Teddy Long who was staying next to him, saying tonight will be huge. Long looked uncomfortable. Wade said he knows the head of SyFy who has allowed him to create some matches. He turned to ask Long to announce the matches. Big Show will compete in a 5-on-1 handicap match against The Nexus, while John Cena will face World Champion Kane.

When Smackdown returned, Michael Cole had joined Matt Striker and Todd Grisham on commentary. Grisham said tonight CM Punk will face The Undertaker one-on-one as well, 48hrs before Hell in a Cell.

Natalya, Kelly Kelly and The Bella Twins vs. Team LayCool, Maryse & Alicia Fox
8 Diva Tag Team match

Natalya will face Michelle McCool at Hell in a Cell for the Divas Championship. Grisham brought up "Countdown to Lockdown," the new book by Mick Foley.

Natalya had a Sharpshooter on Maryse early on, but Michelle came in to break it up. The Bella Twins arrived in to take out Layla and Michelle. The Bella Twins got involved as well. Layla went over to help Michelle and do a "Flawless" pose, but suddenly a hand reached out from under the ring to trip Layla and pull her under the ring. It was Hornswoggle who emerged to chase Layla around the ring. As they came around the ring, McCool was there to boot kick Horney down.

Meanwhile, back in the ring, Natalya got the Sharpshooter on Maryse winning the match by submission. Natalya, Kelly Kelly and Bella Twins all celebrated in the ring as LayCool backed up the ramp.

Winners: Natalya, Kelly Kelly & The Bella Twins win via submission over Maryse, Alicia Fox and Team LayCool.

A Homecoming ceremony was held for Jack Swagger since the show was in Oklahoma City. Swagger came out wearing a red king's cape, with an Eagle mascot accompanying him to the ring. Swagger said he's got a problem with Oklahoma since they haven't given him a key to the city. He said he and his personal mascot, the Swagger soaring Eagle have now moved out of Oklahoma. He said they moved somewhere classier, Texas. He told the crowd to repeat after him "God Bless Texas." He upset the crowd saying Texas will beat Oklahoma tomorrow. Swagger proclaimed himself official, undisputed king of Oklahoma, then put a special crown on. The Eagle started praising Swagger down on his knees. Swagger told all the Sooners to worship him. Just then, Edge's theme music hit, bringing the Rated-R Superstar out.

Edge said he's on a mission of epic proportions, to rid the WWE landscape of "anything that is stupid." Edge called the Soaring Eagle stupid, as well as Swagger's cape and crown. Edge said he was going to start his mission right now. He dropped the mic, but Swagger hid behind the Eagle mascot. After several moments, Edge punched the Eagle down. Swagger escaped out of the ring but was furious, yelling at Edge about the Eagle. With Swagger watching, Edge prepared from the corner and eventually hit the Spear to take the bird down.

Later tonight Cena vs Kane with Nexus as Lumberjacks. Backstage, Barrett spoke to his group saying they need to push the envelope to really make history tonight. He said it's known if anyone on Smackdown lays a finger on them tonight, they're suspended. He said later in Cena's match against Kane they can make something truly memorable on Smackdown. He huddled them up to talk strategy.

Smackdown returned with some Dashing Cody Rhodes Grooming Tips. Today's tips were about underarm perspiration and wet spots through shirts. He said there's a simple way to go from disgusting to dashing. He talked about using a clear shaving gel under a clean, smooth shaven underarm. He said apply the anti-perspirant with two simple motions: down and up.

Big Show vs. The Nexus
5-on-1 Handicap Match

Barrett lead his other four Nexus teammates to the ring for the match. The commentators reviewed Nexus' earlier attack on Ziggler, MVP, and Big Show setting up this match.

In this contest, all of the Nexus were allowed in the ring at once. They attacked Show in the corner, ganging up on him, but he kept shoving them away. Show managed to stay on his feet, but soon Nexus had him down on the mat to kick and punch away on him. Each of the Nexus members grabbed a limb to stretch out Show on the mat. Barrett wrapped his legs around Show's neck to choke him out. Eventually the ref called for the bell as Big Show passed out and couldn't continue. Nexus all admired their work, and then Justin Gabriel climbed to the top corner and hit the 450 Splash on Show. Moments later, Gabriel hit the 450 Splash again on Show before Nexus posed in the ring.

Winner: The Nexus wins due to submission of Big Show.

Todd Grisham said Rey Mysterio will return to Smackdown tonight after suffering an attack at the hands of Alberto Del Rio weeks ago.

They showed how Big Show was helped out of the ring and walked up the ramp on his own, holding his ribs following Nexus' attack.

Grisham and Striker brought up Hell in a Cell, as they introduced a video package to detail the Kane vs Undertaker feud. It included Kane talking of his brother's impending destruction at his hands, now that he holds all Taker's powers. However, just last week, Paul Bearer returned to ringside in a casket with the urn. The urn appeared to restore power to Taker. Undertaker and Kane will face off in a Hell in a Cell match at the PPV Sunday for the World Heavyweight Title.

CM Punk arrived out for the next match as Smackdown went to commercial.

The Undertaker vs. CM Punk

Paul Bearer with urn in hand lead Undertaker to the ring. Punk thought he had Taker down at one point, but Undertaker did his sit up and intense stare from days of old. Taker started smashing Punk from corner to corner, then splashed him in one corner. He hit Snake Eyes on Punk and then dropped him with a boot to the face. Punk barely escaped a pinfall after a legdrop. Taker set up for and hit the Chokeslam to slam Punk to the mat. Taker looked back at the power of the urn in Bearer's hands, then set up and hit the Tombstone Piledriver for the win.
