Raw Revelations: HHH Arrest & Vickie-Show Affair!

Last night's Raw saw Triple H forfeit a match for the sake of hunting down Randy Orton at his St. Louis, Missouri home, where Orton and his wife Samantha were participating in live via sattelite interviews. (Orton is married to Samantha Speno and has one child with her in real life). Orton had stated earlier he would enjoy watching his Legacy pals, Rhodes and Dibiase go against the Game in a 2 on 1 handicap match. The joke was on Orton when HHH withdrew from the match and headed to his house with a sledgehammer in hand. The bits with HHH grabbing various individuals to intimidate them like some bad guy in a horror or action movie was a bit overdone, but the main points were made. Orton and HHH got into a brawl that saw HHH tossing Orton all around his house and eventually threw a front window area. When all was said and done, Triple H had been arrested and shoved into the back of a squad car. The good news for Hunter is that Orton hasn't RKO'd or Punt kicked Linda McMahon so she can provide the bail money to get him out in time for Wrestlemania 25.

WWE made the official announcement via Vickie Guerrero last night that there will indeed be a 25 Divas Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 25. This came after Melina and Maryse faced off, with Maryse winning the battle on Raw. Then we saw Smackdown and Raw's finest divas get into a huge catfight in the ring to let us know several of the participants: Melina, Maryse, Bella Twins, Layla, Eve, Michelle, Maria, Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Rosa Mendes & Beth Phoenix. Candice Michelle has been recovering from injury and is expected back in April. Whether she'll be ready to compete at this battle royal will be up in the air, but bringing in some former diva greats such as Torrie Wilson, Victoria, Sunny and others won't hurt at all.

When Flair arrived to throw Jericho off his game and distract him from the ramp last night on Raw, it seemed like Flair would be the guy to face Jericho at Wrestlemania 25. However, Jericho has called Flair out for next week to come back to Raw, and come out of retirement for a match. I'm going to venture a guess that next week's match doesn't happen, and that Jericho gives Flair a beating which prompts another legend to step in. That could be Hogan, Austin or commentator Jerry the King Lawler. Lawler versus Jericho isn't exactly the makings of a classic Wrestlemania encounter, but the WWE might not have any other options at this point.

At first the Cena-Vickie-Edge-Show in-ring was a bit odd, with Cena professing his love for Vickie. Things were straightened out as Cena revealed what he really whispered to Vickie on Smackdown; that he had video footage of her and Show having an affair backstage. Edge was seriously shocked, confused and angered by the revelation, while a gleeful Cena is now part of the main event at Wrestlemania 25, a Triple Threat title match between Cena, Edge and Show. This sets the stage for a rift between Edge and Show which works well for Cena. Unfortunately, Cena letting the cat out of the bag on Vickie gives her plenty of reason to make his life and matches hell leading up to Wrestlemania.

Some other thoughts: Undertaker and Shawn Michaels delivered a great in-ring confrontation to get things revved up for the Showstopper versus the Streak. With the exception of Undertaker briefly botching a line, both guys made excellent cases as to why they would be victorious at Wrestlemania 25. Also we saw Kofi Kingston add his name to the MITB Ladder Match. With two spots left, it'll be interesting to see the final 2 competitors. As it stands now, CM Punk looks like the favorite, although MVP could get things poppin'. Punk's dropping of the IC title sets him up for another big title win. JBL winning it is questionable, but remember that Vickie Guerrero said he owed her a favor. That's likely to be JBL facing John Cena in a one on one match, or defending the IC title at Wrestlemania 25 against Vladimir Kozlov since the two will be tag team partners next week.
