Smackdown Preview 10.30.09

At Bragging Rights this past Sunday, Smackdown took home the trophy as superior brand, thanks in part to the Big Show's turning against his own Raw team. In the final moments of the Raw versus Smackdown match, Show chokeslammed Kofi Kingston from the corner, and delivered a knockout punch to Triple H. This allowed Chris Jericho to capture the winning pinfall for Team Smackdown, and his team soon celebrated as they hoisted up the trophy. Also on the card, the Smackdown diva trio of Michelle McCool, Natalya and Beth Phoenix were triumphant over Raw's three divas. While John Morrison came up on the losing end to Miz, Smackdown was still the top program of the Pay-Per-View. What will Chris Jericho, Teddy Long and the various Smackdown stars have to say regarding their win over Raw at Bragging Rights? What's next for these superstars on their show?

Speaking of Team Smackdown, the version that won at the Pay-Per-View was an updated, remade team. Originally scheduled to fight were Drew McIntyre, Eric Escobar, Dolph Ziggler and Cryme Tyme. However, they were defeated in the ring by Matt Hardy, Finlay, R-Truth and The Hart Dynasty on Smackdown, with the stipulation that the winners replaced the losers. Despite losing that match, Eric Escobar and Drew McIntyre are amongst some of the most talented newcomers in the ranks of the WWE. How will they bounce back from their recent loss to build some upward momentum?

In other action at Bragging Rights, The Undertaker defended the World Championship in a Fatal Fourway match against CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and Batista. The Deadman was able to take the win against Batista, who went into the match friends with Rey Mysterio. Unfortunately, Batista felt that Mysterio was the one who cost him the match, and he took out his frustration of losing on his friend. Rey was left beaten up and battered by The Animal as the match had ended. Just days before the Pay-Per-View, Mysterio had collected a victory over his friend in the ring. Now, the two seem to be at odds. What will go down between these two on Smackdown?

Catch all the action on tonight's Smackdown at 8PM EST on MyNetwork TV!
