Raw Preview 03.08.10

The Road to Wrestlemania 26 will continue with tonight's episode of WWE Raw. On tonight's show, the Chairman Vince McMahon will get back into the ring once again, but this time he'll battle former WWE Champion John Cena for the first time ever! McMahon informed Bret Hart in the ring just last week that they will fight one another at Wrestlemania, and then the cocky chairman kicked Bret's crutch out, causing the Hitman to fall to the mat. Vince then told Bret he'd show him the peak physical condition he's in on Raw, when he battles John Cena. Cena surely will be looking to give McMahon a few shots after what's gone down between he and Bret, as well as the deal Vince made with Batista weeks ago. Will Vince McMahon have a chance against Cena? Will Batista be around to see the fight?

Also on tonight's show, Randy Orton will face both of his Legacy proteges in a handicap match. During last week's Raw, Orton was attacked by Cody Rhodes while fighting Ted Dibiase one-on-one. Despite the ambush, Orton managed to overcome both men and drop them to the mat, Viper-style. However, he's got a big challenge tonight as he tries to defeat the two men he taught all he knows to. Will Orton have what it takes to win tonight's handicap match? Or will the teacher be schooled by his students?

And finally, last week saw Triple H and Shawn Michaels re-unite as DX once again, to fight in a rematch for the Unified Tag team titles. The MizShow managed to win after Michaels was distracted by The Undertaker appearing on the Titantron. With the titles retained by the current champs, Michaels sat on the mat dejected, with HHH trying to show support for his friend in the loss. HBK wanted no part of it, and left the ring angrily. With HHH wondering what was going through Micahels' head, Sheamus snuck into the ring and attacked him. After a beatdown around the ring, Sheamus delivered two solid boot kicks to HHH and eventually sent him over the commentator's table. The show ended with Sheamus raising his arms up and looking down at HHH. What will become of this feud that seems to have developed since the Elimination Chamber?

Catch Raw tonight hosted by Criss Angel the Mindfreak at 9PM EST on USA!

Raw Recap 01.18.10

WWE Recap from University of TN:

WWE Raw opened with a Martin Luther King, Jr. video which featured words from his famous "I have a dream" speech, and finished with "Long live the dream" written on the screen.

Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole welcomed fans to Raw just two weeks ahead of the 2010 Royal Rumble. On tonight's Raw, John Cena and Kofi Kingston will team up to take on Legacy. Also, tonight's guest hosts are movie stars Don Johnson and Jon Heder, promoting their brand new film. Justin Roberts introduced the WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon, and Vince arrived down to the ring strutting as usual.

Cole and Lawler reviewed what Mr. McMahon did to guest host Bret Hart two weeks ago. Cole said that over 3 million people have viewed the footage on WWE.com. Mr. McMahon talked about making tough decisions, including his decision to allow Bret Hart to come back to WWE, and his decision to kick Hart in the gut. Vince said he did it all for the fans, and wants them to remember Bret for the way he was, the "Excellence of Exocution", not the way he is. Vince said Bret's no longer of value, so it's his job to put those former stars down, like old war horses.

Vince chastised the fans as hypocrites, saying they all want bigger, faster and stronger guys in WWE. He said the fans made the decision for Bret to no longer come back to WWE. The fans started up a "You suck" chant, but just then Undertaker's bell tolled. His pyro and music started up, and the Deadman arrived out from backstage. Vince McMahon looked worried in the ring as Taker entered. Undertaker told Vince it's his time to talk now, and that he came out to address Shawn Michaels.

Taker said since Vince is there now, he wanted to discuss Montreal. Undertaker said he saw the fear in Vince's eyes 12 years ago, and sees it again now. Taker told Vince he screwed Bret Hart twice now, and he's terrified of the consequences. Vince said he disagreed with Taker's opinion, then left the ring. Taker said stubborness and arrogance reside in both Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels. Undertaker said he has an answer for Michaels now, he wanted to deliver personally. Just then, HBK's theme music started up and out walked Shawn Michaels.

Michaels said he's eager to hear Undertaker's answer now. Undertaker told HBK he came closer than all the others, but still failed. Undertaker said a rematch will only result in more bitter disappointment for himself. Taker said he's got nothing left to prove, so his answer is no, but if Michaels is convinced he can beat him, he'll give him a match tonight. Michaels said no to that idea, stating he'd prefer to beat him on the grandest stage of them all. Michaels said he knows what he needs to do now, win the Royal Rumble, so he can go on to Wrestlemania and face him. Undertaker told Michaels that winning the Royal Rumble is his only chance at salvation. Michaels told Taker he'll see him at Wrestlemania when the streak, the title and soul will be his. The two got face to face as the lights went dark and Taker's music played. Raw went to commercial.

WWE Slam of the Week showed last week's Triple Threat match finish between Orton, Cena and Kofi Kingston. Legacy got involved to help Orton win, allowing him to hit the RKO on Kofi. Now Orton heads to Royal Rumble to face Sheamus for the WWE Title.

Evan Bourne vs. Sheamus

As the match began, Cole noted that Evan Bourne will be in the Royal Rumble match. Randy Orton made his way out onto the ramp to scout Sheamus in the match. Sheamus spotted Orton. Orton walked to the bottom of the ramp, and Sheamus got on the apron to stare at him. This allowed Bourne to mount an attack, including his double knees off the corner. Sheamus quickly regained control though and eventually put Bourne down with the running boot. He picked up Bourne near the corner and did the Razor's Edge to finish Bourne off.

Sheamus glared out at Orton. Orton paused then stepped into the ring to stare down Sheamus. Sheamus backed up and asked for his WWE title belt, then raised it up for Orton to see before backing out of the ring.

Winner: Sheamus wins via pinfall over Evan Bourne.

Backstage, Triple H caught up with Shawn Michaels. HHH was trying to tell something important to Michaels when guest host Don Johnson came walking up. He told DX he's a big fan of theirs, and DX said the same of him. Johnson asked if they saw his co-host Jon Heder anywhere. Michaels said he had no clue who Heder is, then left. HHH said not to worry about Jon Heder not showing, he should just host alone. Triple H told Johnson to have fun tonight, then left. Just then Johnson spotted a guy with his back to him, in a Napoleon Dynamite costume. He thought it was Heder and walked up to him, asking what was up with the costume. The man turned around and it was Carlito. Johnson asked if he was a Napoleon Dynamite fan, and Carlito said "never seen it", then walked off.

Mark Henry vs. Jack Swagger

Michael Cole said Jack Swagger will be a part of the Royal Rumble in two weeks. They showed a highlight from two weeks ago, when Jack Swagger issued a challenge for anyone from backstage to come out and try to throw him over the rope. Santino Marella came out to take the challenge and was able to throw Swagger out after Swagger tried to toss him.

In the ring tonight, Swagger said last week was a fluke. Swagger issued another challenge for Santino to come out and try again. Santino came out dressed as Don Johnson's detective character from Miami Vice. Santino said he's the president of the Italian Don Johnson Fan Club, so he can't wrestle tonight, but he's got a substitution. Mark Henry arrived out and slapped hands with Santino.

In tonight's challenge, Swagger tried some strike attacks on Henry's back to no avail. Henry shoved him against the ropes, and when Swagger arrived back, Henry pressed him overhead. He walked over to the side ropes and dumped Swagger out of the ring in front of the commentators.

Winner: Mark Henry wins Jack Swagger's over-the-top rope challenge.

A limo was shown pulling up in the arena garage. The chaffeur went and opened the backdoor, letting the Bella Twins out. Next, guest host Jon Heder stepped out. He said this is exciting, then incorrectly called the venue "Nashville". One of the Bellas corrected him that it's Knoxville. Heder looked into the limo backseat at a mystery person and told them not to come out until he said to. The Bellas and Heder headed off. Lawler said tonight's guest hosts will be out next.

Justin Roberts introduced tonight's co-hosts, John Heder and Don Johnson. They arrived out escorted by The Bella Twins. Michael Cole noted that their new movie "When in Rome" is out in a week or so. Don Johnson said tonight's main event will feature D-Generation X. Jon Heder started saying he needs something new. He made comments about how they just got a great new football coach at USC, causing the Tennessee fans to start booing because it was their coach who left to go to USC. Heder said he wants to bring out someone who's awesome, his close personal friend, "The Miz". Miz came down to the ring.

Miz thanked Heder for entering him in the Royal Rumble, then mentioned he got a text earlier that said HHH thought Don Johnson should host Raw alone. Miz then told Johnson back in the day Don Johnson was what The Miz is today; the hottest thing on TV. Miz then said Johnson had it all, but nobody remembers the "other guy" who rode his coattails, Tubbs. Miz said in WWE Tubbs would be called "MVP". This brought out MVP to disagree with that comment.

MVP apologized to Don Johnson for having to deal with all this. He also apologized to the fans for having to deal with Napoleon Dynamite and his sidekick Pedro (The Miz). MVP said he'll be in the Royal Rumble and will toss Miz out if he does nothing else. MVP said why wait though, he'll throw Miz out of the ring. MVP came down to the ring ready to fight, and Miz got out of the ring to face him outside. Just then, Big Show's music hit and Show came walking down the ramp. MVP didn't know what to do, then went at Miz to punch him down. He turned and tried to elude Show but got hit by the KO punch. MVP was layed out, and Show got in the ring to slap hands with Heder.

Heder told Miz that he and Show have the same agent, so he asked Show to come down as an insurance policy. He then came up with the idea that since DX gets to celebrate every week, maybe this time the four of them should be able to celebrate. Don Johnson said he didn't want any part of this, and left the ring. Heder told Johnson to go make out with Tubbs. Heder said tonight he's putting DX against a brand new tag team he's creating: Big Show and The Miz.

They hyped up tonight's tag match involving John Cena/Kofi Kingston versus Legacy, coming up next.

Kofi Kingston & John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase

Michael Cole announced that John Cena and Kofi Kingston are both in this year's Royal Rumble. They showed highlights again of how Legacy interfered in last week's Triple Threat #1 Contender match to help Randy Orton win and move on to face Sheamus at Royal Rumble.

In tonight's match, the action was back and forth until Kofi Kingston was caught in the doubleteam trap. Lawler said it seemed as if Legacy was toying with Kofi, not allowing him to make a tag, and wearing him down. Dibiase had a headlock locked in on Kofi. Kofi finally got to his feet to hit a jawbreaker on Ted Dibiase, and then a backdrop slam to finally go tag Cena. Cena came in on fire and eventually hit Five Knuckle Shuffle on Cody Rhodes. Rhodes escaped the Attitude Adjustment and hit a side Russian legsweep for a near fall. Cena managed to shove Rhodes to the corner and as he stumbled back, put him up. He hit the Attitude Adjustment but Dibiase was in to break things up. Kofi managed to make a tag as Legacy were having an in-ring discussion. Kofi made the leap off the corner for a flying bodypress pin on Rhodes.

Dibiase helped Rhodes up from the mat, with Rhodes brushing him off and leaving the ring angry.

Winners: Kofi Kingston & John Cena win via pinfall over Legacy.

Backstage, Jon Heder was talking to The Miz and Big Show. As they were talking a small step ladder entered the picture and Hornswoggle climbed to the top. He kept yelling in jibberish at Jon Heder. Heder asked Miz or Show to translate but they couldn't. HHH showed up and told Heder that Hornswoggle said he doesn't like him, much like the rest of the people. Hornswoggle also challenged Heder to a match, but Miz said no way Heder wants any part of that silliness. HHH suggested they make a six man tag match then, DX & Hornswoggle versus the Miz, Big Show and John Heder. Miz and Show agreed, but Heder looked like he didn't want it. Before leaving, Hornswoggle did the DX crotch chop several times.

Before leaving, Hornswoggle did the DX crotch chop several times.

Raw returned with Don Johnson trying to woo Kelly Kelly backstage. Jon Heder came in blowing into a paper bag as if he was hyperventilating. Johnson told Kelly they'd finish their talk later. Heder pleaded with Don Johnson to take his place in the match for him. Johnson laughed it off. Big Show and The Miz came in and told Heder they'd do the heavy lifting. They told Heder he could come in and finish up. They gave Heder a special wrestling costume which said "The Flame" on back. Show said "No one can extinguish the flame". Heder said he liked it and suggested some pyrotechnics.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler thanked Skillet for their song "Hero" from the album "Awake". This is one of the two theme songs for Royal Rumble 2010. They ran down the matches for the PPV including Rey Mysterio vs. Undertaker for World Heavyweight title, and Orton versus Sheamus for the WWE title. Also, the big match of the night, the Royal Rumble, will see one man win to earn a title shot at Wrestlemania.

Backstage, Vince McMahon was talking to HHH about the Bret Hart incident. Vince said he might need to call out Taker next week for calling him a coward. HHH laughed and told him he should focus on Bret Hart. HHH asked why the McMahons always have to get the last word or last shot. HHH told Vince he needs to call Bret Hart out, or the whole world will think he's a coward. vince left, and Shawn Michaels came walking up. He asked HHH what he wanted to tell him before. Hornswoggle came in, set up a ladder in between the two of them. He yelled again making fist punch motions. Eventually they all left, with HHH giving Hornswoggle a piggyback ride.

Randy Orton was shown backstage on his way out for the next match on Raw.

Chris Masters vs. Randy Orton

Masters was accompanied by his romantic interest, Eve. Before the match could begin, Sheamus' music hit and the WWE Champ came out to watch the matchup.

After hitting a backbreaker on Masters, Orton dropped down in the corner on all fours to stalk his prey. As Masters got up, Orton went in for the RKO, but Masters countered and locked the Masterlock on. Orton tried to jerk himself around the ring to grab the ropes, but Masters kept him away. Orton appeared to be fading away, as he fell to his knees on the mat. Orton managed to pull himself to the middle rope to force a break though. Masters yelled at Orton to come on, and as Orton turned Masters lunged. However, Orton hit the RKO quickly, collected himself then took the pinfall.

As Masters rolled onto the apron, Sheamus came into the ring and did a huge boot kick to knock Randy Orton down to the mat. Sheamus stepped on Orton and let out a scream.

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over Chris Masters.

Coming up next is the main event match with D-Generation X & Hornswoggle versus The Miz, Big Show and Jon Heder.

As Raw returned, Michael Cole announced that next week's guest hosts will be James Roday and Dule Hill from the USA TV show "Psych".

D-Generation X & Hornswoggle vs. Big Show, The Miz & Jon Heder

Heder came out wearing the blue and black ring robe attire that SHow and Miz gave him with the name "The Flame" on it. D-Generation X made their big entrance next. Hornswoggle came out first as the mascot. Next, Don Johnson accompanied DX down to the ring.

Late in the match, Michaels was struggling to crawl over and tag out to HHH. Instead, Hornswoggle crouched down and made the tag. Horney rushed in to dropkick Miz who was seated on the mat. As Hornswoggle came back for another strike, Miz was able to clothesline him down. Heder begged Miz to tag him in, so in came "The Flame". Heder ripped off his robe to reveal he was wearing only a pair of black boots and black trunks. He did several mocking poses, then kicked Hornswoggle down. Next he tried to run at Hornswoggle in the corner, but Horney moved aside. Heder hit the corner hard, and Horney ran up to bite him on the backside. Horney tagged in HHH. Heder tried to make a run for it outside, but Don Johnson was right there to shove him bacvk in the ring.

HHH got hold of Heder and knocked him down with a hard punch to the face. Big Show stepped into the ring and grabbed HHH in chokeslam mode, but HBK was in the ring and connected on Sweet Chin Music on Show. Show toppled over right onto Heder who was flat on his back on the mat. HBK ran over to Superkick Miz off the apron. Hornswoggle was still legal man, so he jumped off the top rope for a Frogsplash, then took the winning pin on Jon Heder for the win. Heder rolled to the outside, where Don Johnson assisted him in getting backstage.

Winners: D-Generation X & Hornswoggle win via pinfall over The Miz, Big Show & Jon Heder "The Flame".

HHH grabbed the mic, he said he wanted to tell Shawn what he's been trying to tell him all night long. HHH said Michaels is going to have to find another way to get the match with Undertaker. Michaels seemed upset at this, but just then John Cena's music came on, and Cena arrived to the ring. Cena said he's got a major announcement of his own first. Cena said it's been two years since he's been in the Royal Rumble, and he will officially compete this year. Cena said last time he was in the Rumble he won it all, and this year he'll do it again.

HHH got on his mic next, but Big Show climbed back into the ring and picked up a mic. Show said he's got news for them all, because he's in the Rumble this year too, and it's designed for a giant like him to win. Show said he'd give them a sample of what will happen now. He knocked down both HHH and HBK, but Cena went on the offensive and was able to hit a shoulder tackle to send Show out of the ring. Cena looked out at Show, as DX got up and grabbed Cena, then tossed him out of the ring. Next, HHH grabbed his partner HBK and tossed him out over the ropes. HHH picked up the mic and told the other 3 guys that he's going to be in the Rumble too, and he'll be the winner. Raw ended with Michaels looking inside the ring at HHH.

Raw Preview 01.18.09

Last week's episode of WWE Raw saw a Triple Threat match set up by guest host Mike Tyson to determine a new #1 Contender for the WWE Title. The match pitted John Cena against Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton, with the winner moving on to face Sheamus at the Royal Rumble. All three men had momentum at various spots in the match, but Kofi Kingston took control once Cena was knocked out of the ring. It appeared Kofi had the advantage over his rival Randy Orton, until Legacy decided to get involved. Rhodes and Dibiase helped Orton win the match, by incapacitating John Cena outside the ring and knocking Kofi's legs out from under him in the ring. The end result was an RKO and pinfall by Orton, sending the former WWE Champ to a Royal Rumble match against Sheamus. However, it appears Cena and Kofi may have something to dispute about the outcome. What will these two superstars have to say regarding the match? Will the result stand, and what will Sheamus have to say about his new opponent, The Viper?

Another title which is hanging in the balance is the WWE Divas Championship. After a severe injury forced the champion Melina to vacate the title, an 8 divas tournament began on Raw. It's now down to the semifinals with Gail Kim facing Alicia Fox, and Eve Torres taking on Maryse. Maryse seems to be the favorite, but each of the other divas wants to take the title for their first ever reign. Will the former divas champion prevail in this tournament, or will a new diva call herself the champ? Who will advance to the finals?

Tonight's show will be hosted by actors Don Johnson (Nash Bridges, Miami Vice) and Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite). As the WWE Universe knows, anything goes with the special guest hosts who schedule all sorts of wild and crazy matches. With the Royal Rumble approaching rapidly, many of the Raw superstars will be looking to get themselves in top form, and to be included in the Royal Rumble match. The winner gets a title shot of their choosing. What will tonight's guest hosts have in store for the superstars of the Raw roster?

Catch Monday Night Raw tonight at 9PM EST on USA!

Raw Recap 12.28.09

Raw Recap from Hartford, CT:

The show opened with Chris Jericho outside in Hartford, CT walking around with a megaphone yelling at fans to sign a petition to stop the embargo against Chris Jericho on Monday Night Raw. The fans kept yelling no as Jericho kept insisting they sign his petition. Raw's theme song/video launched next.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcomed fans to the final Raw of 2009 which will feature John Cena battling Sheamus in a rematch for the WWE Title. Also tonight, Vince McMahon will speak on the rumors that Bret Hart will return to Raw after a 12 year absence. John Cena came out to the ring to start things off. Cena pulled a table out from under the ring and set it up inside the ring.

Cena sat on the corner of the ring and said that this is where Sheamus became WWE Champ two weeks ago. He pointed to the table saying that's how Sheamus became the champ. Cena announced that tonight he gets his rematch. Cena said based on the crowd excitement they need to do the rematch right now. Cena added that it should be a Tables match. The crowd began a Cena chant, which prompted Sheamus to come down to the ring as his music played.

Sheamus got into the ring with Cena and stared at him over on the corner. Sheamus told Cena he's the one with something to prove, and Sheamus is WWE champ so he doesn't have to prove a thing. Sheamus said Raw belongs to him. Cena corrected him, saying that Raw belongs to the WWE Universe. Sheamus said the match will be on his terms, so it won't be a tables match. Sheamus said instead he'll beat Cena one on one in the main event, because he's already shown he can put Cena through a table. Sheamus dropped the mic and turned to leave the ring, but Cena leapt over the table. Sheamus turned around fast and went at Cena. Cena ducked his punch attempt, and quickly put Sheamus into the Attitude Adjustment, then smashed him through the table. Cena gave the "You can't see me" hand gesture before heading up the ramp with Sheamus layed out in the ring.

Raw returned with highlights of what Cena just did to Sheamus in the ring. Lawler and Cole recapped the incident. Cole asked will this affect Sheamus in the title match later? Cole said Timbaland is at the XL Center and a major party is underway.

Timbaland was shown up on the Titantron sitting backstage on a couch with The Bella Twins and Gail Kim. One of the Bellas got up to show off her dance moves. Josh Matthews barged in to ask if Tim planned to postpone the WWE title match due to what just happened. Timbaland asked why he would ever postpone the match, then asked the fans directly into the camera if they still wanted the match. The fans cheered for it so the match is on.

Backstage, Rhodes and Dibiase were walking. Rhodes had the new The Marine 2 DVD in hand and commented on how good the movie was. They came up to Randy Orton who was looking angry sitting on a chair. Orton said he felt it was time to break up Legacy due to the fact they were beaten by three guys last week who aren't a team normally. Orton complained they don't have any titles. Dibiase and Rhodes reminded Orton he became WWE champ 3 times while with them and he should be thankful. Orton said he's got a test for them tonight. Both men will be in singles matches, and if they lose he'll not only kick them out of Legacy, but he'll also beat the living hell out of them.

Cole and Lawler kept talking as an outside shot of Hartford's XL Center was shown. Chris Jericho was shown walking back and forth, petition sign in hand with his megaphone, but nobody else around.

Randy Orton's music hit and out came The Viper. Lawler said Orton met with Timbaland earlier to set up some matches for Legacy. Cole said Orton is coming out to watch the matches involving Legacy.

Raw returned with Chris Jericho outside sitting at a table with a sign "Sign the Jericho Peition". There was a Stop the Jericho Embargo sign behind him. Jericho kept yelling on the megaphone for fans to sign the petition and stop this awful embargo against him appearing on WWE Raw.

Evan Bourne vs. Ted Dibiase

Orton was seated at ringside to watch the match. Cole reminded fans to get a copy of The Marine 2 on Blu-ray or DVD tomorrow. They showed some behind the scenes and action scenes from the film. Dibiase said the action in the movie is intense and gritty. Dibiase did all his own stunts for the movie. Dibiase was shown in the ring staring out at Orton.

In the late stages of the match, Bourne was in control and had several near falls on Dibiase. Bourne jumped up to knee Dibiase in the face, then got on the corner for Air Bourne. Dibiase got up on the corner with him and tried to attack, but Bourne shoved him away. As Bourne jumped off the corner, Dibiase moved forward to duck him, then picked up Bourne and dropped him face first in the corner. From there it was over as Dibiase hit Dream Street to win it.

Winner: Ted Dibiase wins via pinfall over Evan Bourne.

Randy Orton was still out by the ring, as Cody Rhodes came out for the next match. Lawler and Cole reviewed a highlight of Dibiase winning the previous match against Evan Bourne.

Mark Henry vs. Cody Rhodes

Henry dominated early, until he missed on a sit splash attempt. Rhodes worked to try to keep Henry grounded, but Henry shoved him out of the ring. Rhodes used a dropkick before getting clotheslined down. Rhodes fell onto the middle rope, so Henry backed up then ran over and jumped onto Rhodes' back. Unfortunately for Henry he hurt his leg on the way down to the outside. Rhodes used it to his advantage to take Henry down in the ring. He clipped Henry's leg and had a 2 count. Both men recovered to get back up, with Rhodes getting the upperhand. He walked over quickly, kicked Henry in his knee, then DDT'd him down for a pinfall victory. Randy Orton clapped from ringside, then walked over and shook Rhodes' hand. The duo left up the ramp together.

Winner: Cody Rhodes wins via pinfall over Mark Henry.

Jillian was backstage at Timbaland's office door, where Gail Kim asked if she could help her. Jillian said she heard Tim is starting his Shock Value 2 tour on January 15th so maybe she could audition for it. DX was shown standing across the way, with Hornswoggle duck taped to a skateboard. Michaels asked HHH what he was up to. HHH said he was taping Hornswoggle to a skateboard to see how far he can go. Michaels said the whole Vince McMahon-Bret Hart thing has him feeling strange. HHH suggested Michaels staying out of it when Vince goes out to make his talk. Michaels walked off. Jillian started singing as Timbaland came walking out as he heard her awful singing. HHH pushed Horney forward on the skateboard and it took Jillian out like a bowling pin. Tim slapped hands with Horney as Raw went to commercial.

As Raw returned, Cole and Lawler announced two matches for tonight. DX will face Big Show and a mystery partner, while Kofi Kingston faces The Miz (non-title). If Kofi wins he gets a US title shot next year.

Kelly Kelly vs. Maryse

Highlights were shown from last week's Santa's helpers tag match where Kelly scored the winning pinfall on Maryse.

In tonight's match, Kelly pounced on Maryse and started banging her head against the mat. Maryse threw several punches and got up to punch some more. Kelly took her down with a dropkick, then went to the corner for a cross body lateral press for a near fall. Kelly went for her corner to corner handspring move, but Maryse dodged it. Kelly tried to regain control by getting on the corner, but Maryse knocked her off to the mat, then hit her finisher DDT for the victory.

Maryse picked up a mic and sent a message to Melina, asking if she was watching. Maryse spoke in French a bit, then said Melina will never be as sexy as her. Maryse said some more in French and started laughing more like the Wicked Witch. She turned to see Kelly struggling to get up, so she went over and kicked her in the gut.

Winner: Maryse wins via pinfall over Kelly Kelly.

Backstage, Vince McMahon was shown adjusting his suit coat on his way out for the big speech, next.

Raw returned with Cole saying WWE fans can see the Top matches of 2009 at WWE.com. They showed Jericho again outside the XL Center doing his picketing. Big Show walked up to him in a leather jacket. Show told him to let it go. Jericho said what they had was special. Show told him all good things come to an end, and they have to move on since they're on different shows. Show said long distance relationships don't work. Jericho asked if there's someone else. Show said he cares, and handed Jericho an envelope. Show went into the arena. Jericho opened the envelope and started laughing at what was inside.

Justin Roberts introduced the WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon who came strutting down to the ring. Michael Cole said there's been rumors everywhere that Bret the Hitman Hart might make his first return to Raw in about 12 years, ever since the Montreal Screwjob went down at Survivor Series. Lawler said Hitman, a WWE Hall of Famer, is arguably the biggest star in the history of WWE.

Fans started a "We want Bret" chant before Vince's speech. Vince said it seems the fans continue to enjoy the guest host concept, showing there's nothing he wouldn't do for the WWE Universe. Vince said there's been suggestions floating around that next week's Raw host will be Bret the Hitman Hart. Vince said he put together a brief, but unbiased history of Bret Hart. They rolled a Bret Hart highlight video from over his years in WWE, showing the fan's love for him. The video included highlights of the Montreal Screwjob from Survivor Series 1997, where Shawn Michaels won the WWE title match with a Sharpshooter. A replay of Vince's famous interview where he said "Bret Hart screwed Bret Hart" was also shown.

Back to the ring, Vince reminded fans that he didn't screw Bret Hart, but Bret screwed Bret. Vince said in spite of all Bret's actions, he's allowed Bret to come back to WWE. Vince said at Bret's Hall of Fame induction, that Bret didn't return a handshake he offered him, and they didn't have a word all weekend. Vince said Bret showed him nothing but contempt and indignation. Vince said despite all of that, he's showing he's the better man and will do anything for the fans. Vince said next week for Raw, the guest host will be...Vince stopped himself from saying "Bret Hart" several times. Vince said he just can't do it, and apologized but said Bret Hart will never be a guest host on Monday Night Raw. Vince left the ring as fans booed him.

As Vince was leaving the ring, Shawn Michaels' theme music hit and HBK came down to the ring to talk. Vince asked the fans to give it up for Shawn Michaels. HBK gave Vince a staredown as the fans chanted H-B-K. Michaels said sometimes there's rivalries bigger than this industry. Vince said he understands that HBK is talking about his rivalry with Bret Hart. Michaels said he's not talking about Bret Hart, he's talking about The Undertaker. Michaels said he knows he can end the undefeated streak too. HBK said Wrestlemania 26, Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels: The Rematch should happen. Vince said as Chairman of Board he won't make the match happen, but instead Shawn Michaels should make it happen on his own. Vince tried to leave, but HBK stopped him. Michaels said he understands Vince being afraid of Undertaker, but not Bret Hart. Michaels said maybe it's time Vince brings some closure to the Bret Hart chapter in his life, by bringing the Hitman back to WWE Raw. Michaels said only good things will happen if he does.

Vince said he's not afraid of anyone, and that he's fearless. Vince asked about the "only good things will happen" if Vince brings Bret back to WWE Raw. Vince laughed about it asking if Michaels really wanted Bret back. Michaels said he'll be more than happy to see Bret Hart one more time. Vince said then next week Raw will start a new year with a bang with special guest host, Bret "The Hitman" Hart.

Backstage, Josh Matthews talked about the upcoming WWE Title match tonight. John Cena came in to talk. Josh asked Cena if he feels he has some momentum after slamming Cena into a table earlier. Before Cena could even respond, Sheamus ambushed him and knocked Cena to the ground, then repeatedly kicked and stomped on him. Lawler said it seems Cena's advantage has disappeared.

Raw returned with the Bella Twins checking out the new Timbaland album. Eve was shown talking to Gail Kim saying she'd never let a best friend do that to her. They walked off camera, and MVP was shown on the couch playing Timbaland's Beaterator game on the Sony PSP. Timbaland handed him a copy of the game to keep. Kofi Kingston walked in and slapped hands with Tim, then thanked him for tonight's opportunity against The Miz. Kofi said he has unfinished business against Miz. MVP said once Kofi beats The Miz, he gets first shot at him. The Miz walked in asking "really?" Miz told MVP Kofi will never have the US title, and by this time next year he'll still be champion. Miz said the rest of them will be mere afterthoughts. Miz told Gail Kim "sweetheart I don't think you can keep up with Maryse". Timbaland walked over and told Miz that if Kofi beats him tonight, then their title match will go down tonight as well. After that, Timbaland, MVP and some divas did a "really" song and dance as Miz left.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler discussed Vince McMahon's big announcement earlier, that Bret Hart will return to host WWE Raw next week. They also hyped up tonight's match between Cena and Sheamus, replaying highlights from their encounters earlier.

The Miz came down for the non-title match against Kofi Kingston. If Miz loses, Kofi gets a US title match on Raw tonight.

Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz

Miz was in control after a snap suplex, then kicked away on Kofi in the corner. The ref backed Miz away from Kofi, so Miz ran over and did his hard clothesline. With Kofi down on the mat, Miz went to the top of the corner. He jumped at Kofi but got hit by Trouble in Paradise. Kofi earned a US title match with the big pinfall.

Winner: Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall over The Miz to earn a US Title match.

Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz
US Title Match

Raw returned with the match in progress. Kofi was in control, and hit an interesting looking forward rolling DDT for a near fall. Kingston used a slide pin for another near fall. He went over and grabbed Miz for a Russian legsweep, then got riled up for a double leg drop. He signaled for his finisher and hit it again, knocking Miz down near the side apron. Kofi had the pin, and the ref slid out to count it from outside. Just then, Randy Orton rushed down and yanked Kofi outside the ring, causing the DQ.

From there, Orton attacked Kofi, shoving him into the ringpost, then hitting the RKO to leave him lying down outside the ring. Orton stared coldly at Kofi as refs tried to assist him.

Winner: Kofi Kingston wins due to disqualification when Randy Orton interfered.

Josh Matthews caught up with Randy Orton backstage to ask why he just attacked Kofi Kingston. Orton said the issue between he and Kofi isn't over until Orton finishes it. Orton said he'll finish it next week, and he can't think of a better way to kick off a year than by kicking someone in the skull.

Lawler and Cole kept discussing how next week Bret Hart will return to host WWE Raw for the first show of the New Year.

D-Generation X vs. Big Show & Mystery Opponent

DX did their standard intro piece in the ring for the Hartford fans. After they did their "let's get ready to Suck it" piece, Chris Jericho was shown walking down the stairs of the arena to take a seat in the crowd. The camera gave a close up as Jericho revealed he had a ticket to the show, front row.

Big Show came down to the ring with Chavo Guerrero, which surprised Jericho a bit. Cole said word around the Raw locker room was that Show's new partner was just as talented as Chris Jericho and knew how to neutralize Hornswoggle.

Show and Chavo used a strategy of wearing down Michaels and keeping him from the tag. HBK finally managed to tag in HHH, with SHow also tagging in. Triple H escaped a Chokeslam, then sidestepped Show charging at him to go give a Spinebuster to Chavo. HHH used a series of moves including a Facebuster, but couldn't put Show down. Show used a spear to tackle HHH down, then tagged in Chavo. Chavo got up on Show's shoulders for a Frogsplash, but HHH moved away. Meanwhile, HBK tried to clothesline Show over the ropes. Instead Show grabbed him but Michaels held on to pull Show over the ropes with him. As the ref was distracted by the mayhem, Hornswoggle snuck into the ring and tried to go for a Pedigree on Chavo. Chavo backdropped Horney to the mat. This distraction allowed HHH to hit a real Pedigree and take the pinfall victory.

Chris Jericho was upset over this and got out of the ring to go yell at Big Show. Jericho began going on a tirade and tore the steel steps apart. Jericho tore off his suit coat and jumped on the side apron but received a Superkick from Shawn Michaels. HHH got on the mic and told Jericho he can have a rematch next week against DX, but if JeriShow loses the match, Jericho is off Raw, for good this time.

Winners: DX wins via pinfall over Big Show & Chavo Guerrero.

When Raw returned, Cole and Lawler set up the matches for next week: Kofi vs Orton, DX vs Jerishow with the titles on the line, and the return of Bret Hart.

Justin Roberts introduced guest host Timbaland to the crowd. Tim made his way out to a track off his new Shock Value II album, accompanied by the Bella Twins. Timbaland wore an orange Cena T-shirt and sweat pants. Timbaland got the crowd hyped for the main event then introduced John Cena, the challenger first.

John Cena vs. Sheamus
WWE Title Match

Cena was on fire early but Sheamus shoved him off a bulldog attempt then leveled him with a clothesline. Sheamus repeatedly hammered away on Cena then rammed him in the corner. Cena made a comeback though and managed to put Sheamus down for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He hoisted Sheamus up for Attitude Adjustment but was close to the ropes. Sheamus held onto the top rope. Cena finally pulled him away but Sheamus grabbed the ref with his free arm and threw him down, as Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment. Despite having a winning pin, the ref called for the DQ to give Cena the win, but not the title. Cena argued with the ref about the decision.

Sheamus was holding his back as he walked up the ramp with the title in hand. Cena rushed up the ramp and attacked him from behind, then ran him down to the ring. In the ring, Sheamus quickly recovered and did his running kick to knock Cena to the mat. He gave another big boot kick as Cena tried to get up. Sheamus put his foot on Cena's throat as he stood over him. Lawler and Cole reviewed the replays. Sheamus hoisted the WWE Title up at the top of the ramp to close out Raw.

Winner: Cena wins due to disqualification over Sheamus. Sheamus retains the WWE Title.

Raw Recap 11.23.09

Raw recap from Hershey, PA:

After the pyro, Michael Cole wished fans a Happy Thansksgiving edition of Raw. Tonight John Cena will face Smackdown's CM Punk for their first time ever. Justin Roberts introduced guest host Jesse "The Governor" Ventura who now hosts the show "Conspiracy Theory". Instead Randy Orton's theme music hit and The Viper started down the ramp for the ring.

Orton said he doesn't care about the guest host getting interrupted each week. He said he knows that Jesse's got a major announcement regarding the WWE Title. Orton said he's heard that Jesse Ventura is a radical, a revolutionary, according to his father. Orton said he knows guest hosts have the power to make big decisions so Ventura can lift his ban on competing for the WWE Title. Orton said he deserves the WWE title more than anyone else, then called out Ventura to come make the decision.

Jesse Ventura finally made his way out from backstage down to the ring. Ventura told Orton he respected him and likes his style. Ventura said Orton reminds him of himself when younger. Ventura said he's not for Republicans or Democrats but for the independents, as a governor of revolution. Ventura said he will bring something new to the WWE tonight and that Orton won't get a title shot because he's there for something new. Jesse said it's been too many of the same guys getting a shot at the title. Orton started asking if it was HHH, Big Show, Jericho or Michaels getting a title shot. Ventura said none of them will but instead there will be a series of matches featuring only guys who have never been the champion. The winners of the matches go into a "Breakthrough Battle Royal", with the winner of that becoming #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title (which may be a mistake as Ventura may have meant WWE Title). Orton told Ventura he was making a huge mistake. Ventura said his rule goes tonight.

Ventura announced tonight's first ever matches, with John Cena facing CM Punk. the Hart Dynasty will face DX, and we'll also see the contestants for the Breakthrough Royal in action, each of whom has never been the WWE Champion. Ventura said the matches start now, and out came Kofi Kingston. He started down the ramp with Orton walking up towards him. They engaged in a stare down, then passed by one another with Kofi watching his back. Raw went to commercial break.

Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler
Breakthrough Battle Royal Qualifyer

Prior to the match they showed highlights from MSG last week where Orton and Kofi got into a brawl outside the ring, into the crowd and up in the stands. Kofi ended up doing a high risk Boom Boom leg drop off the front guard rail down onto Orton down on a table.

Michael Cole made the whole championship contender tournament and battle royal more clear. He explained there will be a series of matches to qualify for the Breakthrough Battle royal tonight, involving Raw & Smackdown superstars. The winner of that Battle Royal will face the champion of their brand (Raw winner vs. Cena, or Smackdown winner vs. Undertaker).

Late in the match, Kofi stood up while Dolph had him in a headlock. Kofi battled his way out by tossing Dolph down, then hitting a series of knockdown moves. Kingston dropped Dolph with a high chop, then did his Boom Boom leg drop. Kofi signaled for Trouble in Paradise. Ziggler ducked it and went for the Zig Zag, but Kofi grabbed the corner ropes to prevent it. Kofi turned to connect with Trouble in Paradise to win it.

Winner: Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall over Dolph Ziggler to qualify for the Breakthrough Battle Royal.

Cole and Lawler said tonight stars from Smackdown and Raw will tell what they're thankful for this holiday. First up, The Miz. A table full of turkey and other Thanksgiving food was shown backstage, then the camera panned to Miz. Miz said he's thankful for all the love, admiration and respect shown to him by fans each week. He said he's not thankful for any of the great things he's done, because he expects it. Miz said the fans get the privilege of watching him.

Raw returned with a clip of Sheamus going off last week at ringside by taking out a nearby staff member, then hitting a big boot on Jerry Lawler when he got up. Lawler admitted that he's disturbed by what he sees in Sheamus' eyes and he's not going to go after him but let his opponent tonight try to stop him instead.

Finlay vs. Sheamus
Breakthrough Battle Royal Qualifyer

A battle of Irishmen for another spot in the Battle Royal. Cole said this could be Finlay's last chance at a World title due to his age. Finlay started clubbing Sheamus early, then kicked him out of the ring. Finlay tossed Sheamus over the announce table causing Lawler and Cole to get up. Back in the ring, Sheamus capitalized as Finlay was rolling in by kicking him. Sheamus had a near fall after his attack.

Sheamus continued to dominate as he leveled Finlay to the mat, then picked him up to toss him shoulder first into the ringpost. From there, Sheamus picked up Finlay for a Razor's Edge throw to get the pinfall. Cole said Sheamus may be the favorite to win that battle royal later on. Sheamus was leaving the ring, then turned and went back to pull Finlay from the ring. He tossed Finlay face first into the steps, then hit a big boot to send him over the crowd barricade.

Winner: Sheamus wins via pinfall over Finlay to qualify for the Breakthrough Battle Royal.

Smackdown GM Teddy Long was backstage and about to announce what he's thankful for. All of a sudden he was interrupted and the camera showed Vickie Guerrero with Eric Escobar. She said be thankful Mr. McMahon appointed her as his consultant. Escobar made a comment about Vickie being some sweet eye candy making her get all gaga. She asked Teddy to pass the mashed potatoes. He was about to throw them on her, but Escobar grabbed the dish from him and took a finger of mashed potatoes for himself. Vickie commented "Que malo!" and giggled.

Lawler and Cole introduced a promo ad for Jesse Ventura's new show "Conspiracy Theory" which premiers 12/2 on TruTV.

Ventura was backstage with his old gear and posts when Randy Orton entered. Orton told Ventura this is a conspiracy against him being WWE Champion. Ventura said knowing how the boss of WWE works he doesn't doubt he's a victim. Ventura told Orton he can't break the rules or go against what he believes in. Ventura told Orton only guys who've never had a title shot will be in this new revolutionary match. He said he won't break the rules even though he likes how Orton retires the older legends.

CM Punk came out from backstage down to the ring. Punk started jawing at a fan on his way down to the ring. In the ring he got on the mic and started talking about what he's thankful for. Punk said he's thankful he's straight edge, and that it makes him different, because he doesn't want to be like any of the fans. Punk said straight edge means he's better than them. Punk says Thanksgiving is about gluttony and he can tell by the size of some of the people that they will overeat. He said they'll deal with it by taking some sort of medication or liquid antacid, but then they'll head to get dessert. Punk said for Thanksgiving they can be like him or keep being their lazy, drug-consuming selves. Punk said tonight he'll face that turkey named John Cena and through his sober eyes he can "see Cena". Raw went to commercial with Punk waiting in the ring for Cena.

John Cena vs. CM Punk

Cen came out sporting his new merchandise, the orange and blue "Never Give Up" t-shirt and "U Cant C Me" ball cap. Lawler and Cole talked about how Cena survived last night's Triple Threat with DX

Punk tossed his shirt at Cena as he got in the ring. Cena picked it up as the crowd booed, then tossed it down and tore off his shirt. Punk ducked out under the ropes early on as Cena went at him. Punk finally came bac kto put a headlock on Cena. Cena shoved him against the ropes and Punk tried to throw a shoulder but acted as if he hurt himself. Punk finally got a kick in on Cena, then several more. He delivered kicks in the corner and then started ramming Cena. Punk tried to whip Cena but got reverse whipped to the corner then hit by the Bulldog. Cena hit a drop toe hold early and was about to set up the STF, but Punk quickly crawled to the outside. Raw headed to commercial break.

Raw returned with Punk using a leg scissors around Cena's neck. Cena finally managed to stand up and drop Punk with the Electric Chair. Punk recovered with a clothesline to take Cena back down. Punk maintained control using a neckbreaker before a near fall. He worked on Cena's chest with a series of elbows to it. Punk tried to stay in control but Cena was able to block his whip attempt to the corner, then hit a flying shoulder tackle to take Punk down. With Punk down, Cena went for the Five Knuckle Shuffle and hit it. He got Punk up for Attitude Adjustment. Punk landed on his feet then kicked Cena and put him up for GTS. Cena dodged that and locked Punk into the STF. Punk struggled to get to the bottom rope and finally grabbed it.

Both men recovered and as Cena got up Punk got him with a roundhouse kick. Punk crawled over for a near fall with Cena just kicking out. Punk connected with his running knee and taunted with a "You Can't C Me" wave, but Cena shoved him off the Bulldog attempt. With Punk down, Cena got up on the top rope and hit a legdrop on Punk's head. He had a near fall with Punk out at 2. Punk escaped another Cena Attitude Adjustment to score a kick but couldn't get the pin. Punk missed as he tried to dive on Cena near the corner. With Punk laying on the corner, Cena went over and hit the Attitude Adjustment from off the corner to finally win it.

Winner: John Cena wins via pinfall over CM Punk.

Lawler and Cole talked about how great the match was and how Jesse Ventura is making this a revolutionary Raw. They rolled a clip from earlier with Jesse confronting Randy Orton about the WWE Title situation. So far, Kofi Kingston and Sheamus have qualified for the Breakthrough Battle Royal.

Backstage, Vince McMahon went in and shook hands with Jesse Ventura. He told Jesse he had to respectfully decline his challenge to wrestle. Jesse said he wouldn't stoop so low as to wrestle Vince because back when Jesse wrestled Vince was a commentator. Vince asked if Jesse wanted him to be on Conspiracy Theory or do an autograph appearance to help promote his political career. Jesse said no then told him that he was in charge of much more money than Vince is. Jesse then started reminding Vince of what his father made him do when he first started out. Jesse said Vince's father didn't believe Vince had talent so he made him an announcer. Jesse said they'd go back on the mic together tonight. Jesse handed Vince a tux to go put on just like the days of old, then brought a bow tie in for him.

R-Truth, Mark Henry & MVP vs. Chavo Guerrero, Chris Masters & Jack Swagger
Breakthrough Qualifying match

The winning team here would all be entered in the Breakthrough Battle Royal.

The heels continued to work on MVP throughout this one, keeping him away from the tag to his partners. Lawler said it looked like they were setting him up for the Masterlock. MVP finally was able to clothesline Masters down when he came off the ropes then tagged Truth in. Truth had momentum as he did several quick moves, including a high kick to take Masters down. Suddenly, the match broke down with all 6 men in the ring. MVP and Swagger went to the outside. Mark Henry pressed Chavo overhead then tossed him out onto Swagger. Henry went out to help MVP, and this allowed R-Truth to hit his flying elbow corkscrew move for the win on Masters.

Winners: Mark Henry, MVP & R-Truth win via pinfall over Jack Swagger, Chavo Guerrero & Chris Masters to qualify for the Breakthrough Battle Royal.

The camera backstage focused on a large DX book poster, then panned to HHH giving a nervous looking HBK a mean stare. HHH asked HBK what was up with the kick last night. Michaels said it was for the title and apologized, saying he thought HHH would Pedigree him first. HHH said Michaels kicked him 3 times last night. Suddenly, they were interrupted by a bald little guy in a suit standing next to them. He pulled out a piece of paper and slapped it on Michaels' chest. Michaels opened it and announced they're being sued by Hornswoggle next week in Little People's court. HHH and Michaels traded some little people jokes before HHH said "little ingrate".

Evan Bourne came to the ring for the next Qualifying match. His opponent, Primo, came out and was on his way down the ramp when Randy Orton rushed him from behind and tossed him off the ramp. Orton continued attacking, leaving Primo layed out next to the ramp. Orton went to the ring where Bourne was ready for a fight. The Viper screamed at the ref to call for the bell, but Jesse Ventura appeared on the Titantron. He told Orton he's been on his case all night, and since he believes in breaking rules from time to time, he'll break one. He admired Orton's persistence and told him that if he defeats Bourne, he's in the Battle Royal with a shot at the WWE Title again.

Evan Bourne vs. Randy Orton
Breakthrough Qualifying Match

Orton immediately attacked, shoving Bourne hard shoulder first to the ring post and trying to catapult him into the bottom rope. Bourne made a comeback though and delivered several kicks followed by a double knee takedown from the corner. He had a nearfall, but then fell victim to an Orton powerslam from mid air. Orton stalked Bourne and immediately hit the RKO when Bourne got up. Orton's now part of the Battle Royal.

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over Evan Bourne to qualify for the Breakthrough Battle Royal.

Cole and Lawler revisited highlights of Jesse Ventura and Vince McMahon as a classic WWF/WWE announce team from Saturday Night's Main event and other programs.

WWE Divas Mickie James, Kelly Kelly and Melina were backstage dressed in sexy Thanksgiving Pilgrim outfits. Lawler said a first ever Mayflower Melee is coming up next.

Cole introduce a trailer for "The Marine II" which stars Raw superstar Ted Dibiase. It hits DVD and Blu-ray disc on December 29, 2009.

Backstage, Dibiase and Rhodes were talking strategy for their qualifying match later on against Cryme Tyme.

WWE Divas Thanksgiving Mayflower Melee

It was Pilgrims versus Indians in this one, as Michelle McCool, Layla and Jillian came to the ring looking grumpy in Pilgrim outfits with soft folk music playing as their theme. Michelle got on the mic to complain about the match concept. She chastised the guest host for the idea, but just then Justin Roberts interrupted - the special guest timekeeper will be "The Gobbledy Gooker" who was last seen 19 years ago in WWF. Michelle, Jillian and Layla were beside themselves while Michael Cole was having a chuckle over it.

They showed footage from Survivor Series 1990 where Gobbledy Gooker hatched from an egg. He went into the ring and danced with Mean Gene Okerlund. Next out for tonight's match were Mickie, Melina & Kelly Kelly as the sexy Indians. They came to the ring to Tatanka's theme music. Gobbledy Gooker rang the bell several times to start this one off with Melina against Jillian. Jillian took control and began tossing Melina around by her hair. As Melina went against the ropes near Layla, Layla grabbed Melina's hair. Melina turned and knocked her off the apron, then lunged for McCool who dropped off. Jillian scored a clothesline due to all the distractions.

Michelle and Layla decided they'd had enough of the match and started to leave, heading up the ramp. Jillian was distracted as she yelled to them, and Melina rolled her into a winning pinfall.

Winners: Kelly Kelly, Mickie James & Melina win via pinfall over Michelle McCool, Layla & Jillian.

Jerry Lawler got into the ring along with the Gobbledy Gooker to interview Melina about the win. Melina started praising her tag partners and saying how great it was to be back on Raw with them. Just then, the Gobbledy Gooker unmasked and it was Maryse making her surprise return. She bashed the big turkey head from the costume on Melina repeatedly and told Lawler to back off as she kept attacking. Then she took her time removing the rest of her costume to reveal a low cut top and short shorts. After tossing the costume on Melina, Maryse did her trademark hair flip near the ropes. Michael Cole said Maryse left WWE for some time back in July because she was "depressed" over losing her divas title.

D-Generation X vs. The Hart Dynasty

DX made their entrance but didn't do the standard in-ring mic hype. Hart Dynasty was lead out next by Natalya.

Late in the match, Triple H was on the warpath, destroying Smith with a Spinebuster, then Kidd. He prepared for the Pedigree on Smith, but Kidd was up to break that up. HHH knocked Kidd down but then turned to receive a big boot from Smith. Michaels was down in the corner as Smith set up HHH in a bear hug, so Kidd could jump at him from the ropes. HBK got up and hit Sweet Chin Music to take Smith down. As Kidd jumped at HHH he was kicked in the gut, then got the Pedigree. HHH helped Michaels up near the ropes, so they could celebrate their win. Just then, Chris Jericho came out to interrupt on the ramp, wearing a suit.

Jericho mockingly applauded DX for their win. Jericho congratulated them then said Governor Ventura set up a match for 3 weeks from now at the next PPV. It'll be Jericho & Big Show defending their titles versus DX. HHH & HBK cracked some jokes about Big Show not being there due to the fact he got stuck at the Chocolate Factory in Hershey PA. Michaels then informed Jericho their match is going to be a TLC match for the undisputed tag titles. Michaels was about to deliver the "if you're not down with that" line but Jericho interrupted, saying this isn't about catch phrases, merchandise or silly jokes. Jericho said DX has accomplished a lot but never the tag titles. Jericho said as long as he has the titles, DX never will. Michaels and HHH just stared out of the ring as Jericho went backstage.

Winners: DX wins via pinfall over The Hart Dynasty.

Batista was walking backstage wearing shades and street clothes. Lawler said he's coming out next to talk about what he did to Mysterio at Survivor Series.

Rey Mysterio's entrance music and theme video started up, but Mysterio didn't come out. Instead it was Batista with a smirk on his face. He slowly walked to the ring and got in to deliver his explanation for last night. Batista said Mysterio won't be there tonight but will spend Thanksgiving in a hospital bed, and it's his own fault. Batista revisited how Mysterio stabbed him in the back to cost him the World Title. Batista said Mysterio got Powerbombed repeatedly until EMT's had to scrape him off the steel chair. Batista said nobody disrespects or embarasses him. He said if someone from Smackdown wins the Battle Royal tonight he'll hit the ring and take them out. He put the Smackdown roster on notice that Undertaker is his. Just then, a burst of flames and pyro at the ramp signaled that Kane was on his way to the ring.

Kane asked if interrupting him constitutes embarassing The Animal. He told Batista to please make an example out of him. Batista dropped his mic, kept eyeing Kane, then started to back away. Batista left the ring and started up the ramp, smirking about Kane. Kane raised his arms, then brought them down to set off fire from the ringposts.

Cryme Tyme vs. Ted Dibiase & Cody Rhodes
Breakthrough Qualifying Match

Both members of the winning tag team advance to the Breakthrough Battle Royal.

During the match, all four guys were in the ring at one point. Shad took control as legal man and Powerbombed Dibiase down for a near fall, with Rhodes making a save. JTG was back up and dropkicked Rhodes down, then Rhodes pulled him out of the ring. Rhodes was on the apron ready to jump but Shad rushed into him, knocking him off. Dibiase took advantage by shoving Shad into the top rope from behind then hitting his finisher to win it. They join Mark Henry, MVP, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus, R-Truth and Randy Orton in the battle royal tonight. R-Truth is the only Smackdown star represented in the match. The winner will sign their title contract immediately following the battle royal, next, with Vince & Jesse on commentary.

Winner: Legacy wins via pinfall over Cryme Tyme to qualify for the Breakthrough Battle Royal.

When Raw returned, Cole announced that GM Teddy Long was in the building and set up a match between Batista and Kane for this Friday's special Thanksgiving edition of Smackdown.

Backstage, Gail Kim was about to say what she's thankful for this Thanksgiving. Alicia Fox came in to interrupt her, saying she's thankful she wasn't the first one pinned for her team at Survivor Series. Gail Kim picked up a pie, ready to smash it in Alicia's face, so Fox picked up a pie of her own. Santino Marella came in to get between them. He said they shouldn't be fighting around Thanksgiving, they should be cooking. Marella kept up with his chauvenistic promo, which lead to Alicia and Gail smashing pies on his face and head. The Bella Twins rushed in to comfort him. Santino said they're Italian, and asked if they cook for their man. They took exception and each pied him, then left. Finally, Eve showed up, and Santino told her she gets the honor of cleaning his face. Eve grabbed a pie and smashed it in his face before leaving. Vickie Guerrero came walking up with a big pie of her own, but as she got next to Santino he threw up his arms, accidentally smashing the pie in her face. He left and Vickie was left crying with her face pied.

Breakthrough Battle Royal for Title Shot

Jesse came out for commentary, then ntroduced Vince who was dressed in hs tux and red bow tie. They took their seats at the table to comment on the match.

Competitors in this match are Randy Orton, Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, Mark Henry, MVP, R-Truth, Sheamus and Kofi Kingston. The winner of this small battle royal will earn a #1 Title contender spot. If the winner is from Raw they will face Cena for the WWE title. If it's a Smackdown superstar that wins (R-Truth), then they go for Undertaker's World Title. Kofi Kingston was introduced right before Raw went to a commercial. Everyone else was in the ring as they returned, leaving Orton to come out last.

Orton and Legacy triple teamed Kofi, but R-Truth, Henry & MVP saved him. Orton rolled to the outside and watched the action. Sheamus backed himself to the corners to watch the others battle it out. Truth went after MVP, with Henry coming over to hit him. Sheamus finally came to life to clobber R-Truth then tossed him over the top rope. Truth was first elimination. Orton slipped in to try to take out Kofi but ended up on the receiving end of his attack. MVP was next man out. Henry started to attack Sheamus and got him up over the top rope, but Legacy attacked the big man from behind. Sheamus dropped on the apron, then rolled into the ring. Henry double clotheslined Legacy out of it. Sheamus saw Henry against the ropes so he rushed over to send Henry over next. It was down to Kofi, Orton, Sheamus.

Orton stared over at Sheamus who backed to the corner to watch Kofi vs Orton. Kofi gained momentum, but Orton recovered and gave him a beating in the corner. Sheamus went over to grab Orton and attack, but Orton escaped his grasp and dropped him to the mat, then stomped on his face. He went back to work on Kofi with Sheamus layed out. Kofi built momentum again but Orton dumped him over the top rope. Kofi skinned the cat nicely and as Orton saw him he got his head caught between Kofi's legs. Kofi tossed Orton over, dropped to the apron and was still in it. Orton was shocked as he headed up the ramp looking at Kofi. It's Kofi vs Sheamus now.

Kofi was still staring out at Orton and as he turned he saw Sheamus heading at him full speed. Sheamus clotheslined Kofi hard over the ropes and became the winner. Orton was still fuming on the ramp. Contract signing between Cena & Sheamus is next.

Winner: Sheamus wins the Breakthrough Battle Royal to become #1 Contender for the WWE Title.

Next week's guest host is Verne Troyer aka "Mini Me" from the Austin Powers movies.

Guest host Ventura presided over the official contract signing for the WWE Title match. Sheamus was already in the ring with the table and chairs set up. Jesse Ventura kept saying Sheamus was now getting a World Championship match, rather than WWE. He called Cena down for the signing, so the champ made his way to the ring. Ventura called Cena the World Champion. Cena took a seat with Sheamus still on his feet. Sheamus picked up the mic and demanded that Cena stand up to face him as #1 Contender.

Cena said he's heard that "Im the #1 Contender" statement before from veterans, not new guys like Sheamus. He asked if Sheamus thinks he deserves respect for retiring Noble or beating up cameramen. Cena said he's been part of this industry for 8 years where he's achieved the nearly impossible, going toe-to-toe with the toughest of the roster. Cena told Sheamus when he signs the contract he better be ready to go to war. Sheamus said he retires people because he can, but that's nothing compared to what he'll do to Cena. Sheamus screamed and faced Cena. Cena tossed off his cap, then tore off his shirt to throw to the crowd. Sheamus signed first, then slammed the pen down. Cena signed off.

Ventura picked up the title contract and said it's official. Then he said he thinks there's a conspiracy to keep Cena as the champ, because of his look. Ventura said he never got a title shot because he was unconventional. Ventura kept talking, and Cena walked up to him. Sheamus quickly delivered his big boot and then Ventura left the ring. Sheamus tossed Cena shoulder first into the ringpost, then slammed him through the table. Ventura got back on the apron and said the WWE Title match will be a tables match at TLC. Cole and Lawler covered the highlights of what just went down. Sheamus held up the WWE title belt to close out the show.

Raw Preview 11.16.09

Tonight's episode of Raw returns to Madison Square Garden right in the heart of New York City. It will also feature one of its biggest main event matches in the show's history: a Triple Threat tag team match. Involved in this contest will be the teams of D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels & Triple H), Chris Jericho and Big Show, and the current WWE and World Champions, John Cena & The Undertaker. Interestingly enough, this match comes less than a week before both Cena and Undertaker are scheduled to defend their titles in Triple Threat matches, against DX and JeriShow respectively. Tension will be running high in this match because each tag team will want to win, but also each individual on each team will want to prove himself and prepare for the Survivor Series. Jericho and Show are the current unified tag champions, while DX is one of the best tag teams in the ring in recent times. Meanwhile, Cena and Undertaker are two of the biggest stars in WWE's history. Which team or individual will be standing tallest after this match?

In addition to that match, other wrestlers from Raw will be competing on the Survivor Series card. In particular, Team Kofi Kingston will face Team Randy Orton at the PPV. Kofi and Orton have not yet had an individual encounter in the ring, but they've come close several times. Other members of Raw involved in this match include MVP, Mark Henry, Ted Dibiase & Cody Rhodes. On last week's VIP Lounge, Legacy and Orton basically called Kingston, MVP & Henry a bunch of thugs who aren't on their level. While MVP, Henry and Kofi have been succesful in recent bouts against these guys, it will be a different story come Survivor Series. Will any more confrontations or conflicts arise between these two teams during Raw?

And finally, one of Raw's newest divas, Melina will be defending her WWE Divas Championship on tonight's show at MSG. Recently a 6 diva battle royal went down involving Kelly Kelly, The Bella Twins, Gail Kim, Eve Torres and Alicia Fox. It came down to Kelly versus Alicia, with the Fox able to toss her opponent out of the ring. Alicia will now meet Melina one on one for a shot at the Divas title. In recent times, Miss Fox has looked impressive in the ring, sweet yet vicious. Will Alicia have what it takes to defeat Melina, one of the toughest divas in recent times?

Tonight's show will be hosted by guest host Rowdy Roddy Piper. What will Piper have in store for tonight's episode of Raw? Find out at 9PM EST on USA this Monday night!

Raw Recap 11.02.09

Raw Recap from Worcester, MA:

The live audience was shown immediately, with Justin Roberts introducing Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne. Smoke started to shoot up around the ring, and Ozzy was shown in the ring seated in a throne with Sharon at his side. The crowd went wild as Ozzy's music played and he saluted the crowd. They rolled highlight footage from April 7, 1986 Wrestlemania II and May 15, 2007 Smackdown, Ozzy's other appearances with WWE. Sharon asked Ozzy if he remembered those times and he said "absolutely not". As Sharon started to talk again, The Miz came out to interrupt, carrying his United States title belt.

Miz said he was a bigger star than the two of them and their family combined. Miz told them he was robbed last week during his match against Evan Bourne, due to outside interference. Miz said he wants the match stricken from the records, and have the ref overturn the decision. Ozzy asked Miz who he was, and Miz started his "I'm the Miz and I'm -" statement, but Legacy made their way to the ring to interrupt that. Cody told Miz it was petty to complain about losing by countout. Rhodes started to tell Ozzy how their gift to Orton was ruined last week. Dibiase grabbed the mic and said he payed for it all. Rhodes said they deserve retribution and asked for a handicap match against Kofi Kingston tonight. Miz interrupted saying his issue comes first. Just then, Big Show's music hit and Show came walking down to the ring.

Show told Ozzy and Sharon to ignore those whiners and complainers. Show said last week he was assaulted by the entire Raw roster. Show demanded an apology. Ozzy said "I'm so sorry", with Show saying he wants all of the roster to apologize to him. Just then, Triple H and Shawn Michaels came out. Triple H said they have a lot in common. They pulled out "I am Ozzy" book, and DX's book to show to the camera. Miz told HHH this is serious and not time for a plug. HHH said it was time to fix everyone's issues, and whispered to Ozzy. Ozzy then said Miz will face Evan Bourne tonight with the US title on the line.

Michaels said he could help out Legacy, not with Wrestlemania tickets that go on sale this weekend, but with their situation with Kofi Kingston. Big Show said tonight he wants to see a Triple Threat match between DX and Cena. He whispered to Sharon, who then announced Kofi will take on Randy Orton tonight. Show then whispered to Ozzy, who said there will be a Triple Threat match involving John Cena. Triple H whispered into Ozzy's ear and he listed off the other two comeptitors: Chris Jericho and Big Show. Sharon told Show that's the final decision, and if he's not down with it she's got two words for him.

Raw Rewind showed footage of last week's Evan Bourne vs The Miz match. Eve was seated at ringside to watch and Jack Swagger got on the mic at ringside. Swagger said nobody's watching the match, they're all watching Eve, or Eve watching him. Miz came over and did a move right near Swagger, then went to the outside to argue with him. Bourne dove over the ropes to land on both men which resulted in Miz being counted out,

Evan Bourne vs. The Miz
United States Championship

Evan had a near fall late in the match, but Miz recovered to strike him in the gut. Miz went for a suplex, with Bourne countering and doing another near fall attempt followed by a knee to the head. Miz stumbled back to the corner so Bourne ran at him. Miz moved away, but Bourne jumped from off the middle ropes to connect a kick to Miz' head. Miz charged at Bourne in the opposite corner with Bourne kicking him. With Miz down, Bourne went for Shooting Starpress. Miz rolled away and Bourne landed on his feet. Miz did an armbar toss of Bourne into the corner, then hit his finisher the Skull Crushing Finale.

Winner: The Miz wins via pinfall over Evan Bourne to retain the United States Championship.

Later tonight, Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton settle their differences in the ring.

When Raw returned, Lawler reminded fans of the upcoming Triple Threat match involving John Cena, Big Show and Chris Jericho.

Josh Matthews interviewed Raw's newest star Sheamus backstage about his upcoming match against Jamie Noble. Sheamus dissed Ozzy Osbourne saying his career should have been finished a while ago, then said Jamie Noble's career will be over after tonight's match.

Jamie Noble vs. Sheamus

Noble tried for a quick strike but Sheamus gave him a hard forearm shot, then repeatedly kicked away at him in the corner. Noble rolled outside, where Sheamus grabbed him and tossed him into the ringpost. Back in the ring, Sheamus clubbed down Noble from behind, then continued to punish him down on the mat. He started choking Noble against the bottom rope then elbowed him in the head. Sheamus stood Noble up to knee repeatedly before slamming him across his knee. He delivered a running boot to the head to go for a pin, but pulled up at 2 so he could deliver more damage. Sheamus kept hammering away and kicking on Noble in the corner.

The referee finally decided to stop the match since Noble couldn't continue. Sheamus went over to beat on Noble more, sitting him up on the corner and then punching him off. Outside the ring Sheamus continued the attack with a hard Powerbomb on the floor. Several referees rushed down to attend to Noble who was making strange repeated noises. A stretcher was rolled down the ramp to get Noble out for medical help. Sheamus watched from the ramp smiling diabolically as Noble was put on the stretcher. Several replays were shown of the Powerbomb on Noble.

Winner: Sheamus wins due to referee's decision when Noble couldn't continue the match.

When Raw returned, Lawler and Cole discussed what just went down with Sheamus and Jamie Noble, saying an update would come soon. They talked about last week's Raw hosted by the NASCAR stars, then showed highlights of Kofi Kingston defeating Chris Jericho. As Kofi was celebrating up on the ramp, Orton came out and tossed him off the stage. Later on, Orton was interviewed saying Kofi cost him the WWE title by coming into play during the Bragging Rights match. On Raw, Legacy presented Orton a brand new NASCAR race car with his picture painted on the hood. Orton was in the ring later on with Legacy, when Kofi Kingston appeared on the Titantron. He told Orton to stop complaining because nobody cares, then defaced and destroyed his car with a crowbar and paint.

Kofi Kingston was shown walking backstage when Josh Matthews caught up with him asking if he had any regrets for last week. Kingston said that Orton is the classic bully blaming someone else for losing. Kofi proudly said he destroyed all of Orton's car last week, except the mirror. He said he left that so Orton can take a look at exactly why he's no longer the WWE champ.

The "I Am Ozzy" autobiography book will be available on January 25, 2010, which includes talk of his music career, reality TV and the "bat".

Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton

Orton paced around Kofi to try to bully him, and then Kofi slapped him in the face to get started. Orton took exception, beating up Kofi in the corner and stomping away on him. Orton leveled Kofi with a clothesline to keep him down. Orton picked Kofi up and tried for a clothesline, but Kofi ducked and gained momentum as he eventually knocked Orton outside the ring. As Kofi was getting back in the ring, he noticed Legacy charging down the ramp. Kofi pulled the top rope down causing Orton to fall out onto Legacy outside the ring as they got there. Kofi then did the running dive onto all three guys, prompting them to surround the ring with him in it.

Ozzy and Sharon came up on the Titantron saying they knew this was going to happen, so it will know be a six man tag match. MVP and Mark Henry came down the ramp to be Kofi's partners.

Winner: Match changed to a six man tag match.

Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry & MVP vs. Randy Orton & Legacy

Raw joined the new match in progress with Kofi having the upperhand on legacy. He took out Rhodes and Dibiase, then Orton who came in at him. Kofi knocked Dibiase down and tagged in MVP. Kofi and MVP did their trademark moves, Ballin elbow and Boom Boom leg drop in unison. Mark Henry came in to try to work on Dibiase, but ended up getting kicked in the leg. Legacy tried a doubleteam, but Henry clotheslined both men down together.

MVP was tagged back in and ended up getting caught in a doubleteam by Legacy. Dibiase took control then tagged in Orton to pound away on MVP in the corner. The trio continued working over MVP to keep him away from his partners. MVP got to his feet against Rhodes, but soon ate a dropkick. Rhodes had a nearfall before tagging Orton back in. MVP started to fight off Legacy, but Orton hit a drop toe hold to take him down. He went for a running knee drop with MVP rolling out harm's way the first time. Orton got him on the next try and had a near fall. MVP had a near escape against Orton, but got dragged back into center ring. Dibiase tagged in, and MVP was able to do a throw on him so he could make a hot tag to Henry. Henry came in annihilating everyone in sight, then hit a running splash on Rhodes in the corner. He had him up for a move, but Orton came in to disrupt. Kofi rushed in and dropkicked Orton out of the ring. Rhodes tried to leap off the corner onto Henry who caught him from the air and hit Worlds Strongest Slam.

Orton glared at Kofi from the bottom of the ramp as Kofi celebrated in the ring with Henry and MVP.

Winners: Kofi Kingston, MVP & Mark Henry win via pinfall over Randy Orton, Ted Dibiase & Cody Rhodes.

Still to come tonight are John Cena in a Triple Threat against Jericho and Show. Up next is "Raw's got Talent" hosted by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

Wrestlemania XXVI tickets go on sale this Saturday at Noon.

The official 2009 Survivor Series theme song is "Get Thru This" by Art of Dying, available on iTunes. Official artist website is www.artofdyingmusic.com.

Jerry Lawler was in the ring with Sharon and Ozzy seated at a special table. Lawler said three of Raw's superstars will perform in talent competition. The third special judge was introduced as The Great Khali. Khali came out in a snazzy suit along with his translator Singh. Khali sat next to Sharon at the mics and said something. Lawler said he believes Khali just said he has a huge crush on their daughter. Sharon said they'd love to have Khali as a son-in-law.

Lawler introduced the first competitor, Santino Marella. Santino came out dressed as vintage Ozzy Osbourne. Santino said for his talent he will bite the head off a bat. He pulled out a Batman action figure and bit its head off. Sharon Osborne gave a thumbs down and he was sent off the stage. Next up was Chris Masters doing a performance to "Crazy Train". Masters started flexing his chest muscles to go to the beat of the song. Sharon said she loved it. Ozzy yelled "buy that man a bra". Singh translated for Khali saying he found that oddly mesmerizing.

The final contestants were Chavo Guerrero and Jillian Hall. They did a bad duet version of Ozzy and Lita Ford's song "Close my Eyes". Ozzy and Sharon were immediately disgusted by it as the audience booed Jillian and Chavo. Jillian and Chavo started trash talking as they came down to the ring. Jillian started singing a Britney Spears song to the disgust of Sharon who slapped her across the ring. Chavo told Ozzy to control his wife. Ozzy said he can't but Chavo can try. Chavo got in Sharon's face, causing Khali to get up. Chavo tried to plead with him but ended up getting chopped down. Hornswoggle's music hit and he came running down the ramp dressed as Jack Osbourne in big wig and white shirt/tie. He completed the segment by doing the Tadpole Frogsplash on Chavo from the corner. Hornswoggle and Khali celebrated with the Osbornes in the ring.

Backstage, Kelly Kell was shown walking and met up with the Bella Twins. The three kept walking as they passed Gail Kim. Eve Torres showed up too, with Cole saying there will be a divas battle royal to determine Melina's next contender for the Divas title.

Next week in Sheffield, England the guest host will be Welterweight boxing champion Ricky Hatton.

Divas Battle Royal

The winner of this match becomes #1 contender for Melina's Divas Championship. Competing in the match: Alicia Fox, Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim, Nikki and Brie Bella. Kelly jumped on Alicia and the two started rolling around. The Bellas separated to fight with Gail and Eve in separate corners. Kelly had Gail Kim on the apron trying to kick her out. Melina was shown watching the match backstage on a monitor. Gail Kim was eliminated when Kelly tried to dump one of the Bella Twins out. Kelly tried to apologize to Gail Kim who walked off. Meanwhile, Jack Swagger came walking down the ramp to observe.

Eve started to knock around various divas with clotheslines and dropkicks. Eve knocked both Bella Twins out of the ring to eliminate them. It was down to Eve, Kelly and Alicia. Swagger signaled to Eve that he was watching her and she had a confused look. The distraction may have eliminated Eve as Alicia got the upperhand to boot her out of the ring. Kelly picked up Alicia on her shoulders and tried to toss her out, but Alicia held the top rope. Alicia elbowed out and got down to fight. Kelly knocked her to the corner then did her handspring move to elbow Alicia in the corner. Alicia caught her and picked up Kelly to dump her over the top ropes. Alicia celebrated the win as Melina was shown watching backstage.

Winner: Alicia Fox wins the Divas battle royal to become #1 Contender for the Divas Championship.

Cole and Lawler had an updated on Jamie Noble after showing another replay of Sheamus' beatdown/powerbomb on him. Cole said Noble has serious back and neck injuries as a result of the attack. They showed some replays of the various incidents and segments with Sharon and Ozzy interacting with WWE Superstars during tonight's Raw.

When Raw returned, they brought up the situation between Batista and Rey Mysterio on Smackdown. Highlights were shown of Bragging Rights where Batista made his turn to beat up Mysterio following their Fatal Fourway match. The two had an in-ring confrontation on Friday's Smackdown, with Mysterio trying to settle things. Batista wasn't having it, but no punches were thrown. Batista said he's thinking about himself from here on out, then left the ring with Mysterio still there.

Backstage, Ozzy and Sharon were getting romantic when Chris Jericho entered. Jericho said once again guest hosts are making a mockery of Raw. He said he wasn't consulted on any decisions tonight. Jericho said he idolized Ozzy growing up and tried to imitate him. Jericho said he finally realized he didn't need to pander to the fans, and now he's better than Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy and Sharon laughed it off as Jericho exited.

D-Generation X were shown backstage chastising Hornswoggle who was hanging up on a large equipment box. DX said he can't infringe on their copyrights any more. Hornswoggle did a DX crotch chop and then John Cena entered the picture to take him down from being hung up. Cena talked about how Hornswoggle is the reason they have to compete in a Triple Threat match at Survivor Series. HHH said he's not worried about it because he beat Cena 2 weeks ago. Michaels reminded Cena he beat him in England. Cena remarked how they all beat each other all the time. The Bella Twins happened to be nearby and looked puzzled then left. Michaels said DX has a high probability of leaving with the WWE title. Cena said anything can happen in a Triple Threat match and he doesn't even have to be pinned. He said when he wins though he'll have four words for them "The Champ is Here!"

Highlights were shown from last week's main event where John Cena was guest ref for a Lumberjack match between Triple H and Big Show. It ended with Show taking a pin on HHH, but Cena pretended to have a hang nail so he couldn't complete the count. Then, each of the various Raw stars from around the ring came in to hit their finishers on Show, before he got Pedigreed by HHH for the pin.

John Cena vs. Chris Jericho vs. Big Show

DX was seated with Cole and Lawler for the main event commentary. As Raw came back from a break, Show yanked Cena out of the ring to beat on. Jericho and Show got into a brief encounter in the ring before turning their attention back to beating on Cena.
DX kept talking about their 66% chance of winning the title at Survivor Series.

Show eventually missed on a splash in the corner, and Cena began to gain momentum against Jericho. He hit a running bulldog, but Show hit him with a quick spear. Jericho did a Lionsault and went for the pin, with Show yanking him off. Show grabbed Jericho around the neck and threw him over the top rope. Cena ducked a Show clothesline and went at Show. He avoided a Chokeslam and then tried for Attitude Adjustment, but the weight was too much. Show pulled Cena towards the corner and went for a seated splash off the corner. Cena rolled away to avoid it.

Cena managed to hit a flying shoulder block into Show to knock him out of the ring. Jericho came in but Cena knocked him to the mat and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle to the crowd's delight. Cena hoisted Jericho up for the Attitude Adjustment but it was too close to the ropes. Show got up near the apron and hit the Knockout Punch. It caused Jericho to fall back on top of Cena for the winning pin. After the win, Jericho smiled slyly and Show gave him some argument over how he won. The duo soon teamed up to put a double submission move on Cena. DX tore off their commentary headsets and charged into the ring to try to help. Show delivered a knockout punch on Michaels and eventually headbutted HHH down. Show and Jericho celebrated their destruction of the three men as Raw ended.

Winner: Chris Jericho wins the Triple Threat by pinfall over John Cena.

Raw Preview 11.02.09

On last week's episode of WWE Raw, John Cena was booked as the special guest referee for a matchup between the Bragging Rights traitor The Big Show, and Team Raw's captain Triple H. The match was a lumberjack match with many unhappy Raw superstars surrounding the ring ready to take out frustration on the man who cost Raw the Bragging Rights trophy. Despite his massive size and power, Big Show was ultimately defeated by The Game, as the superstars around the ring enjoyed some satisfaction. Cena was also impartial in the match, coming off his big win a night earlier in the 60 minute Iron Man match against Randy Orton. However, the new WWE Champion would soon learn his new opponent(s) for Survivor Series. At the next Pay-Per-View, according to guest hosts Kyle Busch and Joey Logano, John Cena will defend his title against both members of D-Generation X in a Triple Threat match. The bombshell announcement rocked Raw as the show ended, so how will things go from there on tonight's episode?

Last week also saw a dramatic move made by Kofi Kingston as he smashed up a Randy Orton NASCAR. Earlier in Raw, Randy Orton made the mistake of attacking Kingston claiming that Kingston was the reason he lost his Iron Man match to Cena. The night before at Bragging Rights, Kingston ran down to attack Legacy because of Cody Rhodes' earlier attack on him. Due to the attack from Orton, Kingston destroyed The Viper's prized possession he received earlier from Cody Rhodes and Dibiase as a token of their appreciation. With Orton and Legacy in the ring, Kingston appeared on the Titantron to confront Orton for the earlier attack. Kingston then used a crowbar and spraypaint to do damage, while a distraught Orton looked on and pleaded for him to stop. Orton still believes he should be champion and has demanded a rematch with Cena, but this was not to be as now it appears he has unfinished business with Kofi. What will go down between these two volatile superstars on tonight's episode of Raw?

Tonight's show will have another duo of guest hosts commanding the superstars and their matches. The always controversial Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne will step into the roles of guest hosts to try to keep things in order. It will surely be interesting to see how they handle the job, and what mayhem ensues. What will the Rock N' Roll, reality TV stars bring to the stage for the WWE's brand of sports entertainment?

Raw Preview 10.26.09

Last night's Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View featured the culmination of a famous rivalry within sports entertainment. John Cena and Randy Orton battled it out one final time to decide the ultimate winner for the WWE Title in a 60 minute Iron Man match with Anything Goes rules. Not only were those rules in place, but if John Cena lost the match he would no longer be a part of WWE Raw. In the grueling one hour contest, each man traded momentum and the lead in the final battle. It came down to a 5-5 tie, with the action becoming fast and furious. John Cena eventually got Orton to tap out to the STF with 5 seconds remaining to regain the WWE Title, and keep his spot on the Raw roster. Who will be first to challenge Cena now that he's won back the WWE title and ended his feud with Orton? What will Orton's next move be now?

Also on the Bragging Rights results were 3 other matches which decided Brand superiority. In one decision, Raw's "The Miz" defeated Smackdown's John Morrison. The Smackdown divas evened the odds by defeating Raw's diva team. It would come down to the seven on seven tag match featuring Team Raw versus Team Smackdown. In that big matchup, the Big Show pulled his own screwjob on Team Raw by ditching his allegiance to them and clobbering Kofi Kingston, allowing his tag team partner Chris Jericho to make the winning pinfall. It may have been one "Big" setup from the start with the Unified Tag champs getting the last laugh, while Jericho got to hoist up the Bragging Rights trophy. How will Team Raw respond to Big Show's traitor act from last night's PPV? Will there be reprecussions or more feuds between the members of Team Raw?

Tonight's Raw show in Buffalo, NY will be hosted by NASCAR racing's Joey Logano and Kyle Busch. These two join a list of other athletes who have guest hosted the show including Shaquille O'Neal and Ben Roethlisberger. What will these two racing stars have in store for the members of Raw on the aftermath show from Bragging Rights?

Catch Raw tonight at 9PM EST on USA!

Raw Revelations: The Divas Debacle

You could tell that Nancy O'Dell and Maria Menounos are used to crazy antics, interviews with celebrities and even a bit of acting as they were part of the latest Raw celebrity guest hosting gigs. Monday night's show was done well with them, including probably the best in-ring performance of a guest host since Shaq, with Maria Menounos looking like she could join the divas and be a competitor. She had some nice hair tosses with Alicia Fox, as well as a Sunset Flip, and played a part in her diva team's win when she yanked Rosa Mendes down against the top rope. You've gotta give her credit for getting in there and risking injury like she did with some of those moves. Nancy O'Dell was a fearless hostess as well, and played a good part in the show with several of her backstage encounters. Maria also was part of an interview segment with Legacy, and she actually was one of the better backstage interviewers, thanks to her job experience.

Speaking of divas, the whole Divas Championship and trade scenario was bizarre. It started with an unexplained title match with Jillian Hall as challenger. It's understandable that champions give impromptu title matches, but in the past weeks and month's, they had all sorts of diva matches to earn that spot. Alicia Fox had a shot at the last PPV, and then Jillian Hall gets one immediately, out of nowhere. Apparently she had some big house show wins. To top that off, her win was one of the shortest title reigns in WWE history, because Nancy O'Dell had made a divas trade during the weekend which brought Melina to Raw....and guess what, she got an immediate title shot. Question, why not just allow Melina to challenge Mickie? I realize they're both face divas, but John Morrison did defeat Rey Mysterio in a friendly match for the IC title on Smackdown...

The divas trade is another strange thing. Eve Torres was a regular with Cryme Tyme on Smackdown, but now comes over to Raw. Maybe she'll manage MVP or Primo? Smackdown probably benefited most from the move which brings two of Raw's best divas to its show in Mickie James and Beth Phoenix. ECW gains Rosa Mendes who had been on the losing end of several Raw bouts. Oh and the Bella Twins (ECW) are officially back on Raw...In case you didn't see them in segments with Cedric the Entertainer, Al Sharpton and as Barker's beauties...on Raw.

But enough about the divas, what was up with the DX segments featuring Shawn Michaels by cell phone? Sure it was unique, but hard to hear what Michaels was saying at some moments. You can only imagine how the live audience felt because a crackling cell phone call must be tough to distinguish live. Shawn Michaels explained his reason for not being there as due to his daughter being sick, and that's most likely true. If nothing else it proved HBK is the family man he claims to be.

We found out most of the Raw side of the teams for Bragging Rights. Originally it seemed as if they were going to have the winners from the PPV matches in the tag match, but maybe it was just explained bad by Michael Cole to start with. They held five qualifying matches on Raw for the team spots. One interesting match saw Big Show go up against his partner Chris Jericho, and defeat him by countout. Could there be trouble in paradise for those two leading to a rift soon? Triple H & Shawn Michaels head up a team that features Big Show, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston and Jack Swagger. The final participant is probably Mark Henry, unless Chris Masters beats him on WWE Superstars. Team Smackdown so far is just Chris Jericho, with his team probably being formed on Friday's show.

Another bit of dissension in the ranks seemed to come from Legacy. They were part of a Triple Threat match along with John Cena. When Randy Orton came to ringside, it caused a distraction to both Cena and Dibiase, allowing Cody Rhodes to pin his partner for the victory. Dibiase was not too happy with it, so Orton had to try to make peace. Later in the night, Legacy was forced to take on the team of Cena & Orton. Legacy pulled off the win by pinning Orton. Is this a sign of possible break up between the Legacy team? Should Orton lose at Bragging Rights we just might see Legacy implode, and Dibiase/Rhodes begin a face turn.

Next week is being billed as what could be John Cena's final Raw. Orton said he made a call to Snoop Dogg (didn't know they were pals), and they agreed Cena should face HHH in his final match on the show. If HHH comes away with a win then expect him to be the #1 Competitor for John Cena (or Orton) when he comes to Raw as WWE champ after Bragging Rights. After HHH, there's really just Shawn Michaels and probably Jack Swagger.

I'm going to venture a guess that Sheamus makes his way to Raw or Smackdown soon. Of course he may get into the ECW title picture first, but he seems like the type of bigger contender they need on the primetime shows. Sometimes you have to wonder what WWE really gains from holding these talents away from Raw or Smackdown. Jack Swagger had a nice run on ECW before he was brought to Raw, but maybe he would have been able to form a bigger heel presence if he started on Raw/Smackdown.

The Miz and John Morrison will face off at Bragging Rights in a champion vs champion non-title bout. It's funny but not too long ago on ECW, John Morrison made comments about Miz never amounting to much more in his career. Not long after, Miz beat Kofi Kingston for the US Title on Raw. I'm expecting Morrison takes this match at Bragging Rights just for talent's sake, but it's a good little inter-brand feud match.

So next week rapper Snoop Dogg, another huge WWE fan will host Raw. It'll be interesting to see if Snoop puts himself into the ring like Shaq, Seth Green, Maria Menounos and Cedric the Entertainer have for matches. Snoop was involved in a previous Wrestlemania encounter along with Santino Marella, so he's no stranger to being in the ring.
