Raw Preview 02.01.10

With the Royal Rumble 2010 results now finalized, there will be plenty of fallout as Raw hits the air tonight on USA. Last night's main event featured 30 superstars from the rosters of Raw, Smackdown and ECW competing for the prize of a headline title match at Wrestlemania 26. The spotlight was on Raw's Shawn Michaels who declared he would need to win the 2010 Royal Rumble in order to challenge the Undertaker to a Wrestlemania 26 rematch. However, Michaels didn't quite have the "edge" necessary to win the match. He was eliminated by the Animal Batista, who was tossed out by John Cena. The surprise entrant of the evening was the Rated-R Superstar, Edge, who came in at #29, and eliminated Chris Jericho and ultimately John Cena to win the Rumble. During the match, HBK eliminated the most men of all, including his DX partner Triple H. Now as Raw goes live on USA, fans will be wondering what's next between Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Also, will Shawn Michaels be able to find a way to get his rematch with Undertaker still?

Also during the 2010 Royal Rumble, Randy Orton took on the Celtic Warrior Sheamus to try to recapture the WWE Title. Earlier in the night, Orton's Legacy brethren both came up to the Viper to offer their support and claimed that they'd have Orton's back in the title match. However, but Dibiase and Rhodes seemed at odds, claiming that the other member of Legacy was not being so cooperative. Dibiase cited that Rhodes kept talking about being the Royal Rumble winner so he could face Orton at Wrestlemania, while Rhodes said that Dibiase thought he was bigger than Legacy since his movie has done well. Orton finally had enough of Legacy and vowed to go out and win on his own. However, Cody Rhodes still tried to get involved in the match, and after his attack on Sheamus outside the ring, he ended up costing Orton the title victory. Despite an RKO from The Viper, the ref instructed them to ring the bell and Sheamus retained his title by DQ. Orton punched down both members of Legacy, and ended up getting kicked down by Sheamus, who exited the ring still carrying his title. Now with Legacy at odds after the Rumble, what will they have to say on Raw? Also, who will become Sheamus' next competitors, with the Elimination Chamber coming up? Will Legacy become part of the match?

And finally, after last week's in-ring confrontation between John Cena and Vince McMahon, it appears Bret Hart may be officially invited back to WWE Raw. Cena gave a passionate talk to the WWE Chairman about how he's insulted the very wrestlers who helped build WWE up to what it is today, including Roddy Piper and Bret Hart. Cena suggested that Vince needs to invite Bret back to Raw so that the Hitman gets a chance to respond to what Vince did to him weeks ago on Raw. Vince McMahon despite his usual pride and arrogance, decided that he would in fact invite Bret to Raw for tonight's show. However, we all know that the boss often has tricks up his sleeve. Will the real Bret Hart be a part of the Raw show, or will Vince continue to berate the former WWE Superstar?

Tonight's show will be run by special guest host William Shatner, of Star Trek fame. Catch Raw at 9PM EST on USA!
