Raw Preview 02/21/11
Tonight is the night that the 02/21/11 videos will bring the light to the dark mystery. For weeks fans have seen promotional videos during Raw, Smackdown and WWE Superstars TV shows. Speculation started up that the mysterious figure in the videos could be former WCW star, Sting, but now fans are in agreement that it appears the man from the darkside will make his return on Raw. What will The Phenom have to say upon his return? Will he be after any superstars in particular?
Also, with the culmination of last night exciting Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View (results), The Miz has retained his WWE Championship. That means Miz will be going to Wrestlemania 27 as the champion. With an impressive showing against Jerry "The King" Lawler, Miz won by pinfall cleanly. However, during the match Michael Cole certainly made his ringside affiliation with Miz known. Lawler got some revenge by tossing Miz at Cole and taking him out. Will this create further drama between the commentators?
The closing match of the Pay-Per-View was the Raw Elimination Chamber match. In this match, Miz's opponent for Wrestlemania 27 would be decided. John Morrison, Sheamus, CM Punk, Randy Orton, R-Truth and John Cena all put their bodies on the line in impressive, grueling fashion. However, only one man could be victorious. With a final three of Punk, Morrison and Cena, it came down to the strength of a former champion. CM Punk hit the GTS on Morrison to eliminate him, but Cena got the final say, hitting Attitude Adjustment on Punk and grabbing the winning pinfall. That means John Cena will now head to Wrestlemania 27 to face The Miz for the WWE Championship. What will the new #1 contender have to say to The Miz on Raw?
