WWE Elimination Chamber 2011 Results

That's right it's Sunday, February 20, 2011 and that means it's time for the WWE Elimination Chamber 2011 results! The chamber is one of the most destructive forces in all of WWE, and as the commentators have let the fans know, those who enter see their careers altered forever once the match is over!

Speaking of matches, as of a week or so ago, there were just 3 scheduled matches for the event. However, two new matches are on the card giving a total of five. The newest matches will see Kofi Kingston battle Alberto Del Rio in a non-title contest, while the other match has the tag chamions, Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov defending against Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater of The Corre.

Right now there are two Chamber matches, one for Raw and one for Smackdown, as well as the WWE Championship Match between challenger Jerry Lawler, and champion, The Miz.

Let's break down the chamber match competitors. For the Raw match it will be John Morrison, John Cena, Randy Orton, R-Truth and Sheamus stepping into the Chamber. The winner of this match will become new #1 contender for the WWE Championship and will headline Wrestlemania 27.

In the Smackdown Chamber will be the current World Heavyweight Champion Edge. His title is on the line in this match which also features Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, Kane, Rey Mysterio and Dolph Ziggler. However there's a note on that last competitor. As of Friday's episode of Smackdown, Ziggler was fired from WWE and Smackdown by returning General Manager, Teddy Long. With that in mind, there are just five competitors for Smackdown's chamber, with a sixth spot to be filled by a mystery competitor. The Smackdown chamber winner will be the World Heavyweight Champion and is likely to face Alberto Del Rio at Wrestlemania 27.

The Pay-Per-View gets started at 8PM EST and can be seen via cable, satellite or live stream video feed online at WWE.com. Results will be updated here at the blog starting at 8PM EST and continuing until about 11PM EST when the event has officially concluded.

The Pay-Per-View opened with a video package talking about the Road to Wrestlemania taking a "most diabolical turn" with the Elimination Chamber. 12 Superstars will put their careers on the line and go through pain, torture and suffering to try to fulfill a dream. This is the last chance to headline Wrestlemania!

The Oakland arena opened with a series of pyro blasts, followed by Michael Cole on commentary as the Chamber was shown hanging up above the ring. Tony Chimel was in the ring with Ricardo Rodriguez, who handled the introduction for Alberto Del Rio.

Tonight's commentators are Michael Cole, Josh Matthews and Booker T.

Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio

Cole said it's great to kick off the event with a man who's already headlining Wrestlemania 27. Del Rio drove out in a fancy convertible honking the horn, as Rodriguez intro'd him in Spanish.

Del Rio got on the mic before Kofi was introduced for the match. Del Rio dissed the Oakland fans as low class, then talked about the Chamber match later on. Del Rio said six guys will put themselves through a lot of pain just to lose to him at Wrestlemania for the title, as it's his destiny. Del Rio turned his attention to Kingston, calling him dirt and trash who can't stop him from destiny. Kofi's theme music interrupted the speech as Kingston arrived out with his IC belt.

Early in the match, Del Rio was knocked out of the ring and Rodriguez rushed over to check on him. Kofi left the ring and rushed over to attack Del Rio, then brought him back into the ring. Booker T talked about how Kofi needed a much stronger strategy against Del Rio. Cole said a win by Kofi would be huge tonight.

Del Rio gained control in the ring applying a submission hold to ground Kingston on the mat. Later still, Del Rio used a legscissors around Kofi's midsection on the mat. Kofi did an impressive flying reverse cross body from the corner to take Albero down. The two stars battled as they got to their feet.

Kofi hit a series of quick moves to take Del Rio down, and hit the Boom Boom leg drop. Cole said Kofi's injured arm might hurt his chances though. Kofi revved up for the Trouble in Paradise. Del Rio ducked it, then avoided Kofi in the corner. Kofi hit a pendulum kick though and jumped off the corner. Del Rio countered and took a near fall. Later, Kofi had a near fall after a huge cross body on Del Rio.

There were several exciting near falls, one of which saw Rodriguez distract the ref from ringside. In the close, Del Rio was able to hit a huge neckbreaker on Kofi who jumped on the corner. With Kofi out of it, Del Rio applied the Crossbar Armbreaker. Kofi had his hands clasped, but Del Rio pryed them apart forcing Kofi to tap out.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio wins via pinfall over Kofi Kingston.

Randy Orton was shown pacing back and forth backstage in anticipation of the Chamber match. Michael Cole asked Booker T about his own experiences and what Orton is thinking about. Booker said he spoke with Orton earlier and gave him some advice.

Todd Grisham was backstage with the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, Edge. Grisham asked Edge his frame of mind before entering tonight's Chamber match. Edge talked about all the events of the past few weeks including Vickie Guerrero's meddling. He said today won't be a calm day to relax for him with the chamber. He said he's won a chamber match in the past, and if he can survive Vickie Guerrero, ten tons of steel is a walk in the park. Drew McIntyre walked up clapping for Edge, so Grisham took off. McIntyre asked Edge about the innocent casualites like Kelly Kelly. He told Edge he's the sole reason Kelly was fired, so tonight he's going to take something important to Edge away, the championship belt. Edge saw one thing Kelly has in common with the title, neither will be seen with McIntyre.

Matthews thanked Toby Mac for the Chamber theme song "Ignition."

They showed the Elimination chamber promotional video seen on the various TV shows. After that, the Chamber began to lower down around the ring for the first Chamber match.

Smackdown Elimination Chamber

Competing in this match are World Champion Edge, Rey Mysterio, Kane, Drew McIntyre, Wade Barrett and an unknown sixth competitor. The winner of this match will be the World Heavyweight Champion, with Edge defending the title here.

Kane was first to the ring and got locked in a pod. Next intro, Drew McIntyre, who got in the ring and pounded Kane's pod to act tough. Third intro was The Corre's Wade Barrett. Wade paced around the ring and stared at his two opponents so far in their pods, then got in a pod himself. Fourth intro, here comes Teddy Long with a mic in hand for an announcement.

Long said he fired Long on Smackdown, so it's time for his replacement to be introduced. After several moments of waiting, Big Show's music hit and the World's Largest Athlete arrived to the ring. Show got to the chamber set up then stopped and walked over to Barrett's pod to bang the side of it with his hand.

The final two superstars introduced Edge and Rey Mysterio were the first competitors to start in the ring. These two each had near falls early on. At one point, Edge backdropped Mysterio over onto the grating area. Edge also shoved Rey into the surrounding chain wall multiple times. As Rey hit a drop toehold on Edge in the corner, the countdown went to 0. The lights flashed around the four pods and stopped on Wade Barrett, third to enter the match. Barrett arrived in the ring stomping on Wade. He missed a clothesline on Edge who retaliated with punches in the corner. Rey flew at Edge who tossed him back onto Wade, then tossed Rey across the ring into the side wall.

Barrett tried for Wasteland on Rey outside the chamber, but Rey grabbed the side chain wall. He climbed up a bit but Barrett grabbed him on his shoulders. Moments later, Rey kicked Wade into the ropes, then went for 619. As he ran, Edge booted him down and almost eliminated him. The countdown started up again for the next entrant...Kane!

Kane had a lot of momentum on the wrestlers in the ring, dropping them with boots, side slams and more. Mysterio delivered a huge kick to Kane's head though and then Edge did as well for a near fall. McIntyre and Big Show looked on from inside their pods. Kane continued to really punish the other competitors, especially Mysterio and Edge.

Another countdown started up and that brought in the fifth of the sixth men: Drew McIntyre. Drew immediately rushed in to knee Mysterio then threw him hard at one of the pods. Barrett and Drew doubleteamed Kane to clothesline him down. Booker said Rey looks hurt bad. Drew doublecrossed Barrett near the ropes then threw him through a pod, smashing the lexican glass.

Mysterio was back up and went for 619 on Kane. Kane avoided it, dropped Mysterio, then Edge, then tossed Mysterio hard into the pod. McIntyre set up Future Shock with Kane tossing him over the ropes onto Barrett. Edge and Kane took each other down, leaving everyone scattered around the ring with Show looking on. And the countdown started to finally bring him in. Show double clotheslined Edge and Kane, then Drew and Barrett. He knocked the superstars around the ring, then went after Barrett outside the ring.

Show was all riled up as he was beating on Wade Barrett. He eventually scored the huge KO punch and took out Wade for the first elimination. Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio climbed on top of a pod. As Show watched Barrett leave, Kane jumped off the corner to take him down by clothesline. Edge did a flying elbow drop. Drew hit Future Shock, but nobody could capture the pinfall. Moments later, Rey hit a senton from off the pod on Show. Edge hit a Spear after Rey's 619. Kane set up for a Chokeslam on Show and hit it. Big Show eliminated by Kane!

Drew McIntyre flew off the corner but Kane grabbed him for the Chokeslam and scored it! Another elimination. Mysterio jumped off the corner, with Kane going for a Chokeslam. Edge jumped over and Kane grabbed him too, but both men fought out of it. Mysterio countered a move moments later for a near fall.

Rey was able to send Kane into the ropes, then hit 619. Rey jumped off with Kane catching him. Rey tried for a headscissors move but Kane kept him in his grasp. Edge rushed over and speared down both men, but pinned Kane to eliminate him.

An angry Kane would not leave until he chokeslammed Rey then Edge onto the mat, leaving them both behind. It came down to Edge vs Kane for the championship in the first Chamber match. Cole reminded everyone that these two men both started off the match and outlasted the other four opponents in the Chamber. There were multiple near fall spots between the two competitors with a hot crowd.

Edge went for a Spear but Mysterio moved out of the corner. Edge bounced off the turnbuckle and Rey went against the ropes, however Edge Speared him on the rebound with the crowd thinking it was over. Rey kicked out and moments later hit 619, then the flying splash off the top rope. Edge kicked out!

Moments later, Rey hit a second 619, then climb to the top rope. Rey jumped at Edge, but Edge speared him down from mid-air for the big win!

Post-match, a worn out Edge knelt on the mat holding the championship belt. Suddenly, Alberto Del Rio hit the ring and dropkicked Edge to the mat. Del Rio kept punching away on Edge, then locked the crossbar armbreaker on Edge. Two refs tried to pull him off. Out of nowhere, Christian's theme music hit and ran down to the ring in a leather jacket, jeans and boots. Christian tackled Del Rio down and started to stomp on him, then pounded his own pec.

Christian threw Del Rio into the corner and kept attacking as multiple refs worked to hold him off. Christian escaped though, grabbed Del Rio and hit the Killswitch finisher, before leaving the Chamber.

Winner: Edge wins via pinfall over Rey Mysterio to retain the World Heavyweight Championship in Smackdown Elimination Chamber.

Matt Striker was back in the locker room to interview Lawler, asking his thoughts on tonight's match. Lawler said he's thinking about his mom passing away a week ago. Lawler said it's impossible to put into words how that feels, but things will continue on. Lawler said he's got to stay focused and do what's he got to do to win this match. Lawler said he's never won the WWE title or competed at Wrestlemania, so he has a chance to do that tonight.

Justin Roberts introduced Booker T who got into the ring to take the microphone. Booker said he wanted to introduce them someone who is a trainer on WWE Tough Enough with he and Stone Cold on USA. Trish Stratus' music hit and out came Stratus, the 7-time Womens Champion and Diva of the Decade. Michael Cole said Tough Enough debuts the day after Wrestlemania 27.

Booker welcomed Trish Straus back and said she looks marvelous. Trish said she's been hanging out with the kids at Tough Enough looking for the next superstar. Trish said she's been working on a new catchphrase. She tore off her jacket to reveal a sleeveless top, then started a Rock style speech "Finally the Trish Stratus has come back to Oakland to the millions...(and millions)...Suckaaaaa!!!" Booker said "Tell me she did not just say that." Trish said she's really there tonight to see a personal favorite, Jerry Lawler win the WWE Championship. Booker finished off with a "Can You Dig that, Suckaaaaaaa!"

Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel
WWE Tag Team Championship

The tag team champions were out first. Next, out came The Corre's tag team of Gabriel and Slater, accompanied by Ezekiel Jackson. Booker questioned "What is that monster doing with them?"

Kozlov tossed Slater across the ring to bring in Santino. Santino did his split then did a high hip toss followed by a near fall. Gabriel rushed in to try to break things up. Santino dropped to the mat to avoid him, then hip tossed him on top of Gabriel. Santino got the Cobra ready, but struck Gabriel who wasn't legal. He went for the pin on Slater, who kicked out.

Moments later, Kozlov made the tag in, and had control, but as he had Gabriel on one shoulder, Slater made a slap tag on Justin's leg. Kozlov powerslammed Gabriel down, and Jackson yanked him out of the ring. Gabriel came in to hit his finisher on Kozlov, then tagged Gabriel back in. Slater rushed across the ring and kicked Santino off the apron. Gabriel hit the 450 splash from the corner on Kozlov, then made the winning cover. New tag champs!

Winners: Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel win via pinfall over Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov to become new tag team champions.

Todd Grisham interviewed The Miz backstage about how nervous he is about his chances tonight. Miz said it's not the year when it was good to be the king or when people smelled what the Rock is cooking. Miz said it is the year of the Awesome one, The Miz. He said he plans to take care off Lawler later. Miz said five Raw stars will lose the Chamber match later, but the winner will suffer the same fate as Lawler does later on...losing to the greatest WWE champion in history. Miz started up his "Because I'm the Miz" and paused, then said he's earned the right to say it, so he said the catchphrase over.

A saddened Vickie Guerrero arrived out saying "Excuse me" several times but in a weak voice as if she was upset. She talked about Smackdown's tragedy of losing her boyfriend Dolph Ziggler who was fired. Vickie said she was there to explain that she and Dolph were dealing with some serious issues. She said Dolph was showing his love for her and committed a crime of passion. Vickie said Dolph is extremely sorry, and she asked everyone watching to please convince Teddy Long to give Dolph a second chance. Vickie said she deserves some compassion and asked fans to call Teddy to get Dolph re-hired.

Smackdown GM Teddy Long arrived out telling Vickie to stop it because she's embarassing herself. Vickie said Teddy looks amazing now that he's out of the hospital, then asked him to re-hire Dolph. Teddy said he's in a hiring mood. Vickie said Dolph will be so excited, but Long told her to be quiet. He said he didn't hire Dolph back, but he did hire back someone else. With that, Kelly Kelly's music came on and the diva Vickie fired arrived out.

Kelly chased Vickie around the ring and then into the ring. Kelly walked right up to Vickie asking her what was up. Vickie offered a handshake, but Kelly kicked her down then started to pound Vickie's face into the mat. However, Team LayCool hit the ring and pulled Kelly off Vickie, then started to beat her up on the outside. Layla whipped Kelly into the crowd barrier and then Michelle hit a running knee on her. Suddenly, Trish Stratus rushed down the ramp to chase LayCool off.

Trish went to check on Kelly outside, and LayCool attacked Trish from behind. They brought her into the ring, but Trish was able to gain the upperhand. Michelle was able to grab Trish off Layla, but Trish fought back. Trish connected on a huge roundhouse kick on Michelle, then went over and did a headscissors on Layla from the corner. Trish finished them off with a double DDT, then raised Kelly's arm up in the ring.

Jerry Lawler vs The Miz
WWE Championship Match

After a promo package to promote the Miz and Jerry Lawler's championship match, the champion was introduced. The Miz arrived to the ring with Alex Riley carrying the MITB case. Michael Cole stood up and kept going on about Miz's promises to end Lawler's Mania dreams tonight. Booker and Matthews just shook their heads as Cole carried on. Finally Booker asked "are you finished?"

Jerry "The King" Lawler came to the ring next to the cheers of the fans. Lawler was wearing a special black cape and carried a black and white gold crown. The crowd started up a Jerry chant as he walked to the ring. Justin Roberts introduced Lawler and then The Miz to the fans.

Lawler with several near falls early on as the crowd chanted "Miz is Awful." Riley watched from ringside as Miz was able to hit a shoulder tackle, but moments later Lawler blocked a hip toss to take down Miz for the near fall. Lawler kept punching away on Miz in the corner, so Cole said Lawler was using an illegal punch. Matthews suggested that Cole do his job and realize this isn't 20 years ago so the punch is legal.

Lawler managed to knock Miz to the outside. However, when Lawler went outside, Riley came over to distract. Miz stood up and shoved Lawler into the ringpost, then tossed Jerry back on the apron where he delivered a running knee on him. Miz had the near fall inside the ring.

Later on, Lawler was able to complete the Superplex on Miz from the top rope. Booker said it was almost a modified brainbuster. Lawler had the near fall, and punched away on Miz when he stood up. Several moments later, Alex Riley interfered to trip Lawler from the ringside area. The ref had enough and told Riley he was out of there. Cole said this is good because Miz can show the type of champ he really is. King took control and went for the Piledriver. Miz blocked though then booted Lawler down for a near fall.

Lawler was able to drop down near the ropes as Miz rushed him. Miz fell to the outside. Lawler went out after Miz with Cole standing up and yelling Lawler "you can't do this!" Lawler stared at Cole and Miz attacked from behind. However, Lawler turned the tables and was able to toss Miz onto the commentators table at Cole. Booker and Matthews took over on commentary with Cole not speaking any more.

Later Miz went for the Skullcrushing Finale. Lawler counted and was able to shove Miz to the corner, then hit a DDT. Lawler got on the corner and jumped off with the fist punch. He landed it, made the cover. 1...2...Miz got a foot on the rope.

To finish things, Miz was able to counter the Piledriver from Lawler. He and Lawler traded pinfall attempts. Miz grabbed Lawler though and hit Skullcrushing Finale for the clean finish. Michael Cole joined Miz in the ring to raise his arm up in celebration. During the replay, Cole said "I told you so! The Miz proved tonight that he'll headline Wrestlemania and he is Awesome!!"

The crowd gave Lawler a "Jerry" chant as he got up in the ring and showed some love to the fans. Lawler looked over at the Wrestlemania sign, then left the ring to his music as the fans applauded his efforts.

Winner: The Miz wins via pinfall over Jerry Lawler to retain the WWE Championship.

John Cena was shown backstage eating a huge bowl of Fruity Pebbles. Cena looked at it and said "that's my favorite cereal." Todd Grisham came in and asked Cena about last Monday's Raw. Cena said he's thinking about tonight's chamber match. He said he's feeling Yabba-Dabba Delicious!

Matt Striker spoke with CM Punk backstage. Punk said Cena's got a mental disadvantage tonight. Punk said he's beaten Cena 3 times. Punk 3, John Cena 0. He said "I can't see John Cena beating me or defeating 4 other superstars tonight." Punk said he can't see anyone walking out of the chamber a winner, except himself.

Raw Elimination Chamber

Competing in this match are John Cena, John Morrison, R-Truth, Randy Orton, CM Punk and Sheamus. The winner becomes #1 contender for the WWE Championship. After a review of the Smackdown Chamber finish, Justin Roberts started the intros for the Raw Chamber match. Out first, Randy Orton. Next was R-Truth, and then CM Punk. Cole called Punk the man he believes will win the Raw chamber match tonight. Punk got in the ring and climbed up the corner to pose in front of Orton's pod. Punk jumped down and slapped Orton's pod. Fourth guy introduce was John Cena. That means John Morrison and Sheamus are going to start this one off in the ring with the others locked in pods.

Morrison took control early on and attacked Sheamus otuside the ropes. Morrison went for a mule kick from the ropes at Sheamus. Sheamus avoided him and Morrison hung on the chain wall then hit the mule kick from there. The crowd started up the "Let's go Cena" and "Cena Sucks" back and forth chants.

With Sheamus in control, Sheamus battled Morrison near a pod. The countdown started from 10 and when it hit 0, the lightuts flashed on the pods. Orton was the next entrant and arrived in to take it to both competitors. He walked over and looked right at Punk through his pod's clear door. Orton stayed in control laying out JMo and Sheamus in the ring, then glaring at Punk. He began to stomp on Morrison and Sheamus, then hit a huge knee drop on JMo for a near fall.

Moments later, Orton hit the huge suplex of Morrison off the corner area. Orton waited for the countdown and stepped outside the ropes near Punk's pod hoping he would be next. The light stopped on Punk's pod. Punk demanded the ref let him out. The door opened a quarter of the way with Punk trying to get out. Punk was stuck in the opening. Orton stopped and looked at him for several moments then started to pound away. Punk fell to the ground and Orton stomped away incessantly. Cole said Punk never had the chance to properly enter the match.

In the ring, Orton hit the huge RKO and made Punk the first elimination of the match. However, the lights flashed and email sound dinged. Cole got up to read from the laptop on the podium. The GM said due to a malfunctioning pod, Punk was not given an opportunity to compete, so he is now reinstated in the match. Punk got back in his pod and the ref locked him in. Punk was laughing as he sat inside the pod.

Orton went for the RKO on Sheamus, but Sheamus avoided it. Morrison hit the flash kick on Orton, but Sheamus went at him with the Brogh Kick. Morrison avoided it, but moments later hurt his leg on the outside area.

The coundown went again, with the lights flashing on all three chambers. John Cena's pod was opened, but Sheamus immediately rushed in and kneed Cena in the face. Sheamus brought Cena out and rammed him against the chain wall, then kept up the onslaught. Cena was able to fight Sheamus off, and went for the AA on Morrison. Morrison flipped over the ropes onto his feet. Later still, Morrison got tossed over the ropes and landed bad on his elbow.

JMo and Cena ended up in a punching match on the outside with Sheamus jumping over to double clothesline them on the outside. Orton grabbed Sheamus from in the ring and hammered him on the chest. Orton continued to attack in the ring as R-Truth and Punk watched from their pods.

Another countdown came moments later, and R-Truth was released from his pod. Sheamus went at the pod, but Truth ducked him and started banging Sheamus' head against the pod wall. Truth backed up and went back but Sheamus kicked him. Truth landed a hip toss on Sheamus on the outside. Truth seemed to have momentum as he dropped multiple competitors. Sheamus' Brogh Kick stopped that momentum and eliminated Truth from the Chamber.

The fight continue with Sheamus and Morrison, Cena and Orton. Punk was still locked in a pod. Orton smashed Morrison through a pod wall. Orton and Cena traded punches with the "yeah" "boo" back and forth yells. Orton landed a standing dropkick to drop Cena to the mat and then stomped away on him. Sheamus and Morrison remained down as the countdown timer started up again. Orton went back out to wait for Punk to leave the Chamber. Cena went out for the AA, but Orton slid off and hit the RKO on Cena on the outside grate. Punk smirked and came in with all the competitors down. He immediately tried to pin Orton who kicked out at 2. Punk tossed Orton into the ring, then started slamming the mat, Viper-style. Punk waited for Orton to stand, then hit the GTS to pin Orton.

Orton hit a running knee on Cena, then went at Sheamus with the running knee. Sheamus retaliated though and leveled Punk on the outside. Cole said Sheamus has been all over the place tonight.

Morrison gained control of Sheamus and then climbed a Pod. Sheamus followed him up there and knocked Morrison down on top of the pod. Sheamus climbed up there to beat on Morrison and choke him. Sheamus signaled for the High Cross and tried to get Morrison, but JMo fought back kicking Sheamus down. JMo stood up on top of the pod then began to climb up the top of the Chamber dome. Morrison hung by one arm then pointed down at Sheamus. Sheamus looked up for a moment, then JMo dropped off with an innovative move to take down the Celtic Warrior for a pinfall.

Cena worked on Punk hitting the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena went for the AA on the outside, but Punk began to fight back. Morrison rushed over and jumped off the corner area to take both guys down. Punk went for a pinfall but Cena kicked out. CM Punk was favoring his shoulder. John Morrison rushed at Cena with a running knee near a pod. Cena moved aside and slammed hard into the glass door then fell back grabbing on his knee in agony. Booker said he thought Morrison blew out a knee cap there.

Punk tried to use a Triangle choke on Cena. Cena withstood the submission and then stood up with Punk on his shoulders. Morrison managed to leap off the corner to clothesline Punk off Cena. Punk kicked out and Morrison favored his knee still. He rolled over to try to pin Cena but Cena also kicked out.

Cena managed to hit the AA on Morrison and dropped him near the ropes. Punk came over with a roundhouse kick to drop Cena. All three guys were down and slow to get up. Morrison wasn't getting up. Punk leapt off the ropes and took down Cena for a nearfall. Punk may have cut himself open on the grate. He did a catapult/slingshot on Cena into the Pod wall. Punk then did the same to JMo, but Morrison scaled the cage wall. Morrison jumped from their to the side and then hit a mule kick. He went for the Starship Pain, but Punk rolled out of harm's way. Punk grabbed Morrison as he stumbled back and hit the GTS.

Cena saw his opportunity and grabbed Punk for the AA. Punk held onto the top rope but Cena flipped him over to the outside grate hitting the AA. Cena rolled outside and took the big pinfall for the win. Cena stood up in the corner watching Punk crawl away. Cole said he isn't sure Cena realizes this match is over.

Miz and Riley were seen backstage watching the match. Miz raised up his championship belt as Cena's music was playing in the arena. The commentators reviewed how Morrison was eliminated and then Punk's elimination by Cena.

Winner: John Cena wins via pinfall over CM Punk to become new #1 contender for the WWE Championship.
